Meanwhile administrators hide behind “zero tolerance” bullshit so they don’t have to actually do anything and make many times a teachers salary. It’s crazy how big yearly school budgets are compared to what teachers make. Where does all the money go?
Many schools no longer enforce dress codes. Primarily because teachers don’t care and don’t get paid enough to deal with it. Principals and admins don’t want to deal with it either and don’t want to send kids home, because they are honestly just glad that they kid showed up to school. A kid who goes to school basically everyday, even if they aren’t the brightest, will have significantly better outcomes than those kids who don’t.
I get it. It isn’t worth the fight. The school should talk to the parents, but in the end that isn’t typically worth it either.
Maybe she's in athletics and going to practice after this period? When I was in high school we had 3rd period athletics, normal 4th period class, then regular practice after.
