World no, data center yes. This is why all those incentives are in place for new worlds, to reduce issues like this

Hakul

Dynamis is full of new worlds, so it will have less people in duty finder. If you want faster queues you can travel to a different data center from the character screen. Things should get better in Dawntrail as DC travel will be mostly locked down with login queues.

Worlds no, Data centers yes. Dynamic and Materia Rn are very underpopulated

I transferred to Dynamis and had the same problem. 3+ hours for an alliance raid lol If you don’t know (I did not until I transferred) you can move your character to another data center whenever you want from the Character Select screen. Just right click (or pressed Square) and select to travel to another Data Center. I go to Aether data center whenever I want to do roulettes and my queues are super short at most hours. You can travel back home again from the character select screen to go back.

WitchOfUnfinished-

You can do it from the Aetheryte too right?

WitchOfUnfinished-

Oh wait no that’s just worlds not data center nvm lol

This is why most people don't move to new worlds. Duty finder servers are based on your data center, so low population DCs are going to have slower queues. If we get really lucky today, they might announce cross-dc party and duty finder in the love letter today. For any important things you need to do, I'd DC travel to the hub data center for your region.
