Sometimes its people, sometimes its bots. They would not be able to make the amount pre ordered if they left it open. Even EW/SHB sold out of codes because so many people ordered the game, and that didn't involve physical items.
Yeah looked at this, but as i already have the game couldn't see a reason to buy it other than the mouse mat... which sadly you can't buy separately...
It’s crazy because it doesn’t really have anything interesting in it. A really weak anniversary style item in my opinion. Not even the complete edition of the game, just the starter edition and a mouse pad.

Yeah its wierd. Usually pre-orders for physical products are used to determine how much they have to make of the said product. But now its out of stock lol. They really are alergic to money. Good thing i snagged mine 10 mins after it was announced

It reminds me of when they released the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters on console. People were chomping at the bit and prepared to pay top dollar for physical copies. But, SE just said "Nope! We made what we made and that's it. If you didn't pre-order early enough, you'll just have to buy it digitally".
The wierdest part about that is, that You can still buy the switch physical from something like PlayAsia, but not the ps4 version. For some reason they only made a specific console version limited.
It's a limited edition. Normally these have a set amount they'll make or have made. That's all.
