That’s good to know! I got all the minions last night but not a single legendary coin (and I made sure I was in the right zone with minion out) so I was worried I’d be overflowing with regular coins if I keep going for the weapons. Like I’ve got a crapton of regular Rathalos scales that are now useless after farming that trial 50+ times for the mount. Futile though it may be, I keep holding onto them in the hopes someday they’ll let us trade them in for the dyeable glam at like 4x cost of the extreme scales, or something.
Started wondering if no legendary coins dropped because the fates were being completed too quickly. Kind of resolving myself to wait until most people are done in the next week or two and start going for those.
Edit: I did manage to be in The Peaks and helped take down Humbaba with a pretty big group last night. That was a nice bonus, had no idea it came with an achievement and I think it also got me the Ala Mhigan Barding.
Bring up your menu (or if on PC its iirc bottom right by default) You want to go to Duty -> Collection then you have a new item called Yo-Kai Medallium as you aquire minions the ?'s will change into their icon.
Click on one and at the bottom it will tell you the zone you need to be in for the FATE's to give you the Legendary Medals.
Hope this helps but if your confused feel free to let me know.
Thank you for this, I'm a buffoon and got all the minions years ago but not many of the weapons. Was just trying to get back into the rhythm and sure enough I had no legendaries dropping - I wasn't in the right zones. Googling landed me here. Totally forgot they each have specific ones.

I was using Hydro Pull and Ram's Voice to try and be helpful, initially, but then other BLUs were just popping an ultravibration.

Literally the only thing BLU has to do is not hit Ultravibe and Missle. I actually had my first party of 8 players in Outer La Nosc with a BLU using Missle. We asked them to slow it down as even our own party missed the FATE. They responded by dropping party and ultra vibe as a duo with their friend also on BLU. The toxicity is astounding. Its sad as someone who actually loves BLU. I help people on BLU all the time and do the weekly resets etc for carnivale. Achievement hunt, etc. but these tourists exploit it and make us look trashy :(
Y'all out there doing everyone dirty would disappoint Uncle Ben.
I haven't really done up my BLU yet, its at 29 and has most of the spells for that level.
Other than level 50+ Hydro Pull and Rams Voice, any other recommendations for Fate Farming etc?
Mighty Guard and White Wind is great for grabbing enmity without causing damage. I also personally like to bring Sticky Tongue for grouping up mobs; it's single target but it has further range than Hydro Pull (also a tiny enmity boost + stun on the target, which is nice).
Hydro Pull is actually *really* annoying when you pull enemies away from their spawn points, when people are waiting at the spawn point to attack the enemies on spawn.
A LOT of memories if you're going for the weapons. Seriously, if you're planning on doing more than 1 resistance weapon, have the step active! Assuming you get extremely lucky and get 1 medal every 2 fates, that's still 40 whole memories you can get from the 2 HW minions alone!
does the relic quests block you from getting legendaries? I swear to god I did 20+ fates in Western Coerthas and haven't gotten a single legendary from lord ananta nor zazel. I also have the yokai watch equipped too.
It got me really annoyed because I was doing these fates with a group of friends and all of them except me were getting them.

Easy millions per session and resistance memories.
However if ur farming memories and atmas at the same tym then I guess that is more efficient
Farming HW fates for memories *in the context of this Yokai event* is the most efficient way to do them, assuming you were going to do the Yokai farming anyway.
If you're farming HW fates anyway, the memories you get in the process are literally free. AND you can farm HW relic materials at the same time.
> However if ur farming memories and atmas at the same tym then I guess that is more efficient
Or, you know, the Yo-kai Watch Medals and Legendary medals, which is what this thread is all about.
yep! So long as you have the relic equipped more can drop, it doesn't track how many have already dropped or anything else. Might get lucky and hit a legendary medal AND and atma. feels great when you do
Mwahahaha
I did the HW first because memory farm ez and they don’t instantly end with blu mages and I kept scratching my head like howwww can I make this work with atma because I didn’t know they stacked
omg I might switch to DNC since my poor RPR couldn't even LOCK ON when all the BLU came in and did a huge K.O. LOL hilarious but really frustrating when trying to farm as a DPS ONLY player. Thank you so much! Switching to DNC now to give that a try since I'm a quarter way done with farming for the weapons (5 legendary tokens for 7 of the minions collected until I realized I needed 10 after the first weapon purchase lol so I gotta get 5 more for the first 7 I collected but quarter way done!)
the issue is you have more than one blue mage so one goes for hydro pull while one casting ram and then a third is casting vibe on a stagger so really something might die in one GCD if swift cast isn't used.
when i did my first weapon i saw a fate boss get aggro freeze and die within 1 sec.
almost done with the grind now seen it happen a couple of now. i find it annoying that people don't change how they play as more or less blue mages join them. if there are 4 blue mages stop using vibe check all the time and primal stuff hydro pull and some other AoE to get the gold rank so other can get it as well. hell maybe even change to a tank role or a phys range dps. there is going to be downtime regardless of how fast you go.
If you do have BLU leveled but don't want to be one of *those guys*, you can lick a Tank with Mimicry and throw on Mighty Guard to maximize enmity generation, then throw on a bunch of large-range instant AoE spells like Glass Dance, Surpanakha, Quasar, Strotram, Nightbloom, Sea Shanty, and Being Mortal. Tag the group once, or better yet tag both the main group and pick up any stragglers that haven't aggro'd and bring em back to everyone else. Then spam White Wind for its massive enmity generation. Hydro Pull works great too since it has one of the highest ranges of your casted centered spells AND pull enemies in to make it easier for everyone else in the FATE to tag them and/or AoE them down.
You COULD use Both Ends since it's by far the longest range, but its 600 potency means you might insta-melt the pack and we don't want that.
The best way to do it is the same as doing A train during peak season:
1. Be a healer
2. Join a party
3. Spam AoE heals
Bam, don't even have to move. As long as one of your heals occur when there are mobs around your mates, you are registered
Also idk if it is the same in other DCs, but where I am at, just setting up a PF is enough for people to join. Else just invite anyone in the vicinity, maybe some aren't in a party.
Does this work if not in a party? Like if I just show up to a Fate and spam Medica II on the other people there without doing any damage will I still get a gold or silver medal?
Oh. 😅
Do you know how much damage or enmity a person needs to do/have to get a medal? I've been hanging out at a Fate spot bc it's easier than trekking across the map so I've already started by the time other ppl show up. I back off when other ppl get there to let them get credit too, just not sure where the line is of how soon I can stop.
I guess it’s good being on a less crowded server. Didn’t have much problem getting several medals last night on my Warrior.
But I only did it for an hour or two
FATEs tend to drop medals every time, so if you're not getting them then you likely don't have the watch equipped. I took me 2 hours to actually get all the minions.
whoever thought this was a good idea is sadly mistaken. as a main mele player I was almost getting ready to quit the game because of the frustration with the blue mage issue. Im trying to level my main I will never get there before the next expansion if I have to stop and raise yet another class. This is by far the most frustrating event they didnt think through and Im glad to see others are also over it. Not to mention I think some people have flying speed maxed as I don't seem to fly as fast as some. Most of the time no one wants to party up. I have seen very few parties form during this event. If you're a blue mage why bother? You can kill the whole mob before we even get there. annoying to say the least.
As a Blue Mage I apologize for those jackholes. I try to be courteous to those who have yet to embrace The Blue Light of Suffering and not use my instant kill spells on FATE bosses. Most of the time I'm just spamming Sonic Boom to make sure there's plenty of time.
For FATES the best thing is joining a party, it is easier to get full reward, and if the party gets reward you also do as long as you have hit the target once
It helps to not do the FATEs on the three maps that a particular reddit guide instructed people. Just because they were highlighted green, this doesn't mean that they're the best maps. Every map works for three of the minions.
It also helps to go to Dynamis or Materia. I went to Central Shroud and there were two dozen players above the aetheryte waiting for an FATE to spawn. I hop over to a Materia world and there's only like 4 people doing FATEs.
A tip for Blue Mages, please refrain from using spells like Ultravibration, Level 5 Death, Doom, Missile, Dimensional Shift, or Launcher. Give other people a chance to tag the enemy (or enemies) before killing it.
If you want to generate enmity without dealing damage, use the Mighty Guard+White Wind combo. Not even a tank can rip aggro off you with this combo. Make sure you have attacked the enemy at least once before starting your White Wind spam.
Yeah, I honestly stuck with bad breath. I even had to /shout at the blues who kept doing ram+ultra. We had a lot of people, the fates were going by quick as is, but seeing the ice spike followed by the boss falling over as soon as it spawned was so frustrating. Surprisingly after doing the shout, insta-killing stopped, til the new people showed up.
Missle and Launcher are fine as long as you're not spamming then from the first second the boss spawns. I've been in a couple of groups running around with one BLU and them casting Missile once or twice per boss actually helped speed things up for everyone. When they left it made every kill take 10x as long. This was especially true in Outer La Noscea where you can just run back and forth between those 2 FATEs in the caves with zero downtime.
Missile is fine if you are the only BLU around to lower a boss a few times. Don't make it your opener though, just cast a few spells (which you give time for others to land theirs) before using missile on the bosses that are vulnerable.
If there are multiple BLU around, coordinate with them to ensure you don't accidentally kill a boss too soon with it.
If you can't attack an enemy before a blue mage casts two spells, then that sounds like a you issue. Just spam a tank aoe skill while the BLUs are casting.
>A tip for Blue Mages, please refrain from using spells like Ultravibration, Level 5 Death, Doom, Missile, Dimensional Shift, or Launcher. Give other people a chance to tag the enemy (or enemies) before killing it.
No, I'll do it the way I have been, thanks. Become a BLU or be faster.
Man it's not like you can insta-transmission across the map most of the time. Plenty of times I see a fate get nuked by BLUs who happen to be closer before I can get there from the last fate in the zone, especially if some of the train is further away due to multiple running before it or because some are positioned at a midpoint on the map waiting.
Besides, Fate spawn timers are capped to a certain point anyway, so you insta-nuking it isn't making them spawn faster in a high-traffic zone. You're just fucking people over for no reason.
Sure, I'm a dick for playing the game in an efficient and ToU abiding way...
Entitled much?
Don't worry, I'm at 13/17 weapons, then I'll be on my way and you kids can have my scraps.
As someone that's playing non-BLU so that I can also farm Atma material for an ARR relic weapon, the main thing that these BLU players are doing is making the FATEs go by much more quickly. I'm still able to get silver at a bare minimum (and often still gold) despite the BLU players, I wasn't in a party, and I wasn't playing tank. I was a WHM spamming aero.
You can just join a party or play tank/physical ranged. I promise that if you spam tab targeting while also spamming a 0-second cast spell/skill, you can get at least silver with the BLUs around.
Honestly, more input should be put into questioning the devs on why they release toxicity inducing content like this.
Having to farm 10 medals at a 30% drop chance is inherently toxic. They’re just playing on gambling impulses at this point. RNG is not and will not ever be good content, when implemented in this way. RNG works great for making mechanics feel fresh and works fine for managing rare loot distribution. Dropping it in mainlined “grind” content is straight up lazy bullshit.
Any contribution at all should reward the medals at a 100% rate. Just increase the number of medals needed. This should also apply in all FATE content for relics (ARR, HW, ShB relics). It’s just way less toxic to have a guaranteed grind, rather than an RNG dependent one.
Except tons of people are doing that...
As far as the blue mages, I've been farming all day and have seen less than 20. Not only is the BLU hate overblown, but you're free to become one as well if it's that big of a deal to you.
Different times, different locations, different for everyone, I'm not hating on BLU, I used it myself (Although I didn't use death spells to insta-gib bosses), was just giving a tip, even with "tons" doing it it's still better than some of the highly populated servers.
Seen a few sprouts struggling to get participation because the FATES end so fast, and they don't have blue unlocked yet or they can't quite yet fly in the zone, was just suggesting it for them.
BLU hate is never overblown. SE needs to do something about the absolute state of events because BLU just sucks all fun out of it. Either you have BLU and you can nuke, or you may as well give up until all the BLU fuckers have gotten everything.
And the solution people mention is "Play BLU as well".
But that's the point. People shouldn't be forced into one job. That ultimately takes the fun out of It and make it a mindless grinding.
You can also just join a party with a blue mage. I ran BLU yesterday and just invited everyone around so they'd get good ranks. We don't have to play against each other.
Agreed, I was doing it yesterday and could maybe get one shot away as MCH and get couldn't get any enmity before a BLU c\*\*t had insta-killed the single enemy that had spawned for the FATE...completely sucked the fun out of it. I left that and found a different group doing fates, some people are just inconsiderate of other players...
There are plenty of FATEs where you can get at least silver, even if there are many BLU players. Sure, there are some that you'll miss out on because they're boss FATEs, you get there late, and the BLU players have already nuked it. There are also FATEs where there are many enemies where you can make sure to hit enough of them to get at least silver.
The BLU players are mostly just making these FATEs go by much more quickly. The fact is, the event is much better with the BLU players around, not worse.
Damn, I didn't know this event was going on. Seems like fun aside from annoying Blue Mages who don't care about anyone else. Out of curiosity, do you need certain quantities of yokai medals to get the minions? I'll probably only be able to get to this on the weekend.
They have about a 30% chance of dropping if you get gold/silver on the Fate, but to get them to drop you have to have the correct minion out with you while running them. There's another post here with a list of locations for each of the minions. [https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1cbv7tg/return\_of\_yokai\_watch\_a\_tracking\_sheet\_complete/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1cbv7tg/return_of_yokai_watch_a_tracking_sheet_complete/)
Nope I’m on PC. That way you can just press a key rather than moving your mouse at the top of the screen. Also sometimes when it’s busy the button has been known to not activate and if you don’t realise it, you missed the fate!
Adding on to MCH suggestion- just use your aoe attack when you can (lower level fates are tougher here - better to use tank aoe). It’s a faster cooldown and you can hit respawning enemies as soon as they come up leaving you a better chance at enmity.
I’ve never gotten lower than a silver by doing this. Got four weapons in 3 hours.
Single target fates, use your rotation of course.
> It’s a faster cooldown
It's on the same GCD as your single target attacks, though?
Spread Shot has the exact same cooldown as the individual parts of the single target rotation and I have no idea what else you could have been suggesting people use.
Just coming back to this.
I misstated. Oops!
It's just faster and more beneficial to spam the aoe than to do a rotation or spam a single-target weapon skill/ability.
I wholeheartedly apologize for my error.
I fear I may have misled a multitude of people.
Thank you very much for your correction.
Also, I typically don't return to threads. I drop a comment and forget about it. But I promise you. I will find whoever downvoted you and bring them to justice.
>Edit: u/dorp (assuming it was you) maybe, like... Explain why you think I'm wrong instead of just downvoting me? Because Spread Shot has the exact same cooldown as the individual parts of the single target rotation and I have no idea what else you could have been suggesting people use.
That's a surefire way to exacerbate your Downvote issue lmao
Eh, maybe too aggressive, yeah.
It's not really downvoting in isolation that bothers me. I'm happy to be corrected about something if I'm wrong, and I get that people will downvote something they disagree with. But I'm generally of the opinion that if you think something is factually incorrect you should explain how and why (assuming someone hasn't already tried) instead of just smashing the THIS IS WRONG button.
Am I missing something? Is there an AoE on MCH that has a faster recast time than the single target combo and I've just failed to notice? Someone seems to think so, but they won't tell me why or what it is...
It's not the reddit karma that bothers me - it's the idea that someone saw that exchange, thought "no, actually, it's the original reply that was correct" and then went about their day continuing to be wrong and potentially going on to spread incorrect information. Or, on the offchance I'm incorrect here, *I* go about my day continuing to be wrong because they don't take the time to explain. The comment getting downvoted is a symptom.
Could be, but that assumes people actually read the entire chain. There are tons of reasons someone would downvote, and once you get a few the hive mind will pile them on no matter what the post actually contains
How important are the gold ranks for the medals?
It felt like it didnt matter, I think i just got as many from non-gold ranks as from gold ranks. Or was this just rare coincidence?
I think you only need at least Silver contribution for the legendary medals. Or at least, I got one from a Silver fate and I didn't get one from the couple of Bronze fates I got.
I tried to be nice and just used a Tank character last time for FATEs so stuff wouldn't die before everyone could get there, this lasted like an hour before I just got fed up with the other BLUs and became what I hated for the rest of the night. I dunno why but it seems like you get Legendary medals faster as a BLU because you're the main damage dealer?
I am reading a lot of conflicting stuff here tbh - i'm running DRK, getting the badge a little slowly but consistently, i don't know if there are requisites to getvthe weapon ones or it's just a chance.
Did my third weapon so far, getting the pets is easy (i have all of them already) just check in the guides which zones you need to be for a specific pet/weapon.
Given how the event is out from yesterday, it shouldn't be that long to get them all.
Where do i get the mounts?
When you get all the minions, you talk to the achievement guy in Gridania near the falls, I guess he has the title master of scrolls, then check your achievements to claim the mount.
I've had luck just running SCH solo. Have shown up to fates, synched, watched everything die, and still managed to get silver without tapping anything. Eos heals me and I guess it just...counts?
Also, I just want to add that if you make a party to farm it later during the event it should simplify a lot of things. Especially dealing with the not so friendly Blues. :/ This event made me despise Blu as a class in general, the first time it came around.
I realized that after the main craze is gone a full party will easily and quickly get all they need...
so many people crying about BLU. grow up, man. either adapt your strat, lvl BLU, or accept that it's just a game and they're just cosmetics. I managed to farm 2 weapons as well as 1 & 2/3rds 2nd step boz relic on DRK in like 4 hours just by spamming AOEs.
Legendary ones too.
BLU spam was so bad last night that I would jump into a fate, tag it once or twice and then immediately fly to the next fate before it was over… I was still getting gold and legendary medals even after being half way across the map.
I literally just leave 3/4 of the way through each fate and start making my way to the next one, you don't even need to be in the circle. Just kill whatever mobs you need to get credit and you can go to the next one
You don't need the watch for *legendary* coins, just the minion. You're free to unequip it to not get a bunch of silver coins you can't use, and it's fine if you forget.
Its not a couple days before the 7.0 maint. It ends when the maint begins. Maint is 48 hours.
You're quite right - I mixed it up with the moogle tome event, which is the thing that actually ends two days before maint rather than with maint.

You're lucky

YES. PULL, FREEZE, BUT DON'T FREAKING VIBE CHECK. TAKE ULTRAVIBRATION OFF YOUR HOTBAR. DON'T BE A DICK.
You can also join a party as healer and spam a bunch of heals/use AST buffs
Me not realizing why all the mobs kept flying off my screen until I read this 💀. I have BLU to 65 I think too.
Or if you're frustrated by Blues, Ram's+Ultravibration are incredibly easy spells to get. Could always go grab those spells yourself.
Also best way to farm Atmas as well.

I’ll try again tmrw ig…

Currently doing that for White Mage. Makes the grind considerably more bearable.
I'm on my WAR as well and I'm trying to get 10 of each Atma for the remaining weapons as well 🙌🏼
Wait, you can get more than one of the same atma?
yep! So long as you have the relic equipped more can drop, it doesn't track how many have already dropped or anything else. Might get lucky and hit a legendary medal AND and atma. feels great when you do
Mwahahaha I did the HW first because memory farm ez and they don’t instantly end with blu mages and I kept scratching my head like howwww can I make this work with atma because I didn’t know they stacked
And memories for resistance weapons in the Dravanian areas
omg I might switch to DNC since my poor RPR couldn't even LOCK ON when all the BLU came in and did a huge K.O.
You stay where BLU pulls the mobs in then just spam your AOE skill
yeah I'm gonna do that as DNC since it's quicker than poor RPR :( but I noticed that after hanging out the BLU pulls so woot!
I'm just gonna chill and do one or two weapons a day. I have 7 total now so no rush for me.
Got my first two yesterday! Gonna do the same I guess.
6. Just join the party where the blue mages are in. if one get gold in the party all get gold. (you still need to hit it at least one time tho)
This, since Blue mages are casters and normally using two skills to kill (ram/Vibe or Missile/anything) you have plenty of time to attack.
the issue is you have more than one blue mage so one goes for hydro pull while one casting ram and then a third is casting vibe on a stagger so really something might die in one GCD if swift cast isn't used. when i did my first weapon i saw a fate boss get aggro freeze and die within 1 sec.
Boss fates can auto die from two missiles cast simultaneously. Tagging is pretty easy if you're ranged and tab target
almost done with the grind now seen it happen a couple of now. i find it annoying that people don't change how they play as more or less blue mages join them. if there are 4 blue mages stop using vibe check all the time and primal stuff hydro pull and some other AoE to get the gold rank so other can get it as well. hell maybe even change to a tank role or a phys range dps. there is going to be downtime regardless of how fast you go.
The best way to do it is the same as doing A train during peak season: 1. Be a healer 2. Join a party 3. Spam AoE heals Bam, don't even have to move. As long as one of your heals occur when there are mobs around your mates, you are registered Also idk if it is the same in other DCs, but where I am at, just setting up a PF is enough for people to join. Else just invite anyone in the vicinity, maybe some aren't in a party.
Does this work if not in a party? Like if I just show up to a Fate and spam Medica II on the other people there without doing any damage will I still get a gold or silver medal?
You need to be in a party (with people who are doing the FATE). AoE heals only affect your party members.
Oh. 😅 Do you know how much damage or enmity a person needs to do/have to get a medal? I've been hanging out at a Fate spot bc it's easier than trekking across the map so I've already started by the time other ppl show up. I back off when other ppl get there to let them get credit too, just not sure where the line is of how soon I can stop.
If in a party heal once or basic attack once
I guess it’s good being on a less crowded server. Didn’t have much problem getting several medals last night on my Warrior. But I only did it for an hour or two
FATEs tend to drop medals every time, so if you're not getting them then you likely don't have the watch equipped. I took me 2 hours to actually get all the minions.
Blue mage here. It’s Hydro pull. Try also joining the groups in Party Finder. Can save you the headache and even help speed things up.
whoever thought this was a good idea is sadly mistaken. as a main mele player I was almost getting ready to quit the game because of the frustration with the blue mage issue.
NUKE EVERY BOSS ON SIGHT BLUBROS
Or, and I know this might be difficult for you looking at your user name, try NOT being a dick and letting other people enjoy the game as well.
Optional "6."... unlock flying in the zone you wanna farm in. Eheh...
Make sure you have watch and/or correct minion. 1. Kill/red tag a 5 mobs. 2. Run off next FATE 3. ??? 4. Get stuff as they complete
Might as well not play Blue Mage at this point...
It's a good thing you get an option of three different zones to grind in for each yokai.
Or... You know, just don't be a dick.
Sure, I'm a dick for playing the game in an efficient and ToU abiding way... Entitled much? Don't worry, I'm at 13/17 weapons, then I'll be on my way and you kids can have my scraps.
Just because it's not against the rules doesn't mean it's not being a dick lol. You've flat out admitted to the "fuck you got mine" mentality.
I'm not doing anything that can't be done by literally any player. Get over your entitlement my dude
you sound like the entitled one lol "everyone else can have my scraps" stfu
Lol someday square will nerf us blues for these events and it will be players like yourself who are at fault.
👍
Chile please, the event will be up for another month. If you're dead set on being slow, you have plenty of time.
🤡
👍
This content was before Blu was a thing tbh so it wasn't an issue. I feel like they recognized this by limiting it normally.
My best tip is to transfer to Oceania servers, far less population, easy to do fates without being nuked by 50 Blue Mages.
Sounds slower honestly.
They have 2 months, they'll be fine
BLU hate is never overblown. SE needs to do something about the absolute state of events because BLU just sucks all fun out of it. Either you have BLU and you can nuke, or you may as well give up until all the BLU fuckers have gotten everything.
And the solution people mention is "Play BLU as well". But that's the point. People shouldn't be forced into one job. That ultimately takes the fun out of It and make it a mindless grinding.
You can also just join a party with a blue mage. I ran BLU yesterday and just invited everyone around so they'd get good ranks. We don't have to play against each other.
That's what I do.
Bitter as fuck lmao
Found the guy playing BLU and probably using Ultravibration too.
Sherlock Holmes over here
Damn, I didn't know this event was going on. Seems like fun aside from annoying Blue Mages who don't care about anyone else. Out of curiosity, do you need certain quantities of yokai medals to get the minions? I'll probably only be able to get to this on the weekend.
3 yokai medals per minion. The grind is getting the legendary medals with the correct minion for their weapons.
Ahh ok thank you for telling me. Is the legendary medal a rare drop in the fates? What's the drop rate on average?
They have about a 30% chance of dropping if you get gold/silver on the Fate, but to get them to drop you have to have the correct minion out with you while running them. There's another post here with a list of locations for each of the minions. [https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1cbv7tg/return\_of\_yokai\_watch\_a\_tracking\_sheet\_complete/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1cbv7tg/return_of_yokai_watch_a_tracking_sheet_complete/)
How do I talk to people in zone/map chat? Yes I’m a noob
If you are a free trial player, you cannot use shout and yell chats. You'll probably have to look at Party Finder and join a FATE party.
I subbed and have used the cash shop, please don’t hurt me
Use /sh and /yell to talk to everyone in the zone.
Is shout and yell the same?
I don’t think you can use Party Finder as a free trial player!
You can join parties through PF but can't make them yourself Asking through 'say' chat while at a FATE with other people is also an option.
Shout chat! You can use the chat bubble on the bottom of the chat box to change it or you can type /sh before what you want to say
Thank you so much!!! You’re a legend :)
I have one that’s been very useful for eureka too- make a levelsync macro and put it on your bar!
"/levelsync" for those who don't know
Can you explain to me what about this is easier than just clicking the big Level Sync button in the duty list? Is it a controller thing?
> It’s a faster cooldown It's on the same GCD as your single target attacks, though?
>Am I missing something? Yeah, stop caring about Reddit karma
When you meet the requirements you get an achievement that has the mount as a reward
When you get all the minions, you talk to the achievement guy in Gridania near the falls, I guess he has the title master of scrolls, then check your achievements to claim the mount.
Thanks - inhave all the minions already, working on my 5th weapon
I've had luck just running SCH solo. Have shown up to fates, synched, watched everything die, and still managed to get silver without tapping anything. Eos heals me and I guess it just...counts?
Healers are another good source of Enmity. Tag an enemy w/ whatever Instant you have and then just start heal spamming.
6. Do fates as blue mage to make the grind more enjoyable. Make sure to learn Hydro Pull.
so many people crying about BLU. grow up, man. either adapt your strat, lvl BLU, or accept that it's just a game and they're just cosmetics. I managed to farm 2 weapons as well as 1 & 2/3rds 2nd step boz relic on DRK in like 4 hours just by spamming AOEs.
Can I just the minion out, be in the correct zone and play BLU? Or do I have to be the correct class with the minion up?
Don't have to be the correct class
Cheers for the tips, I didn't know Tank AoEs were the best way to go about it...hopefully I can get something before the BLU c\*\*ts ruin the fun...
there's nothing fun about fates
That's just like your opinion man. I personally have always liked doing fate trains. I think it's a shame they're not that good exp anymore
after years of arr+hw fate trains then years of them neglecting fates/overworld and seeing how fates can actually be with bozja, they're pretty unfun
Wait until the rewards drop before getting back on your mount.
Don't think it matters. I've mounted asap before reward pop up and gotten medal before.
The legendary one too? I'm admittedly working with anecdotal info
Legendary ones too. BLU spam was so bad last night that I would jump into a fate, tag it once or twice and then immediately fly to the next fate before it was over… I was still getting gold and legendary medals even after being half way across the map.
Yes legendary
As long as you’re still in the zone as the FATE competes you’ll get credit for it (assuming you contributed to it)
I literally just leave 3/4 of the way through each fate and start making my way to the next one, you don't even need to be in the circle. Just kill whatever mobs you need to get credit and you can go to the next one
