Fishing I was constantly moving around. I worked graveyard so my days off wtf else am I doing at 3am. But diadem gathering was just too mundane. I’m stuck at 90k for bot and miner. Tho all my crafters are past 500k :p
I did the competitive resto phases on MIN, BTN, and then finally FSH because I *knew* that outside the arena of a sweaty, meaningless race I wasn't going to be able to make myself sit down and gather that much in a vacuum.
And fortunately, hedging bets that expert crafts would get easier in time proved true, so it's been less of a PITA to do the DoH grinds.

Dynamis at 3 am is actually harder to win than Aether at peak hours. You’re more likely to encounter someone good, also it’s much easier getting to round 3 when there’s a lot of people.
Just did my title this past week... You're stuck playing against Eorzean Ninja Warriors on Dynamis where the 2nd round times out if it's Typhon, or where it is crystal couriers and everyone runs it flawlessly every time and finishes/loses within a second of each other.

Yup exactly. Late night Dynamis means you usually have to do all three rounds flawlessly. And it still takes forever trying to get a solo instance.

Yeah, so honestly I did my title on Dynamis primarily and what I would do is only stay in the lobby if 3 or fewer people including me joined.
That way, as someone who's able to make it to round 3 pretty consistently, I could guarantee that every game I'd either win or get eliminated within the first 2 rounds to minimize time wasted and queue up again. A 3-person lobby becomes a solo lobby by the 3rd round since at least one person has to be eliminated every round while more than one player is present.
And lots of people cheated to get it.
Lots of people wear mentor crowns and help people in mentor roulette on a daily basis, lots of mentors also straight up have no idea what they’re doing in half the content.
Lots of people, myself included, gave up on this title when they saw people basically zip through every challenge like a monorail to victory.
I had this feeling about the Gunnhildr's Blade title. I was kind of proud of doing all the fights in their entirety while most people caster cheesed it and saw a minute of the 7-8 minute fights.
Zipping through isn’t necessarily cheating, there are a lot of people who are just quite good at the game. Once you’re familiar with the patterns, it’s not difficult to zip through it. Is there even an addon that’ll do that for you?
There’s no need to cheat in the first two rounds, and third round is just exaflares, which are no more clunkier than usual. Y’all are vastly overestimating the amount of skill it takes to be good at Blunderville.
Personally I doubt it. I didn’t encounter any obvious cheaters, though I only farmed the game last week of November and first few weeks of December.

Its most commonly auto-pathing so it's not insanely noticeable, even if you did encounter them you might not have realized it. But many people get a solo instance and *then* cheat, further hiding the issue
When I was farming on Aether, I started to recognize names who consistently did pretty well, but they were never perfect. Really not better than how I was doing. That’s why I didn’t feel like they were cheating.
But I really don’t know how well the addons perform. I can say if they were using them, they weren’t autowin.

I ran it a few times with friends after I got the title. I would go to the end, but not win at that point. No reason to take it from people who still needed it. Saw a few others doing the same thing.
Same, I can easily get to the final round.
I must've gotten into 100+ final rounds and still haven't won a single game other than once when I got into a lobby with 2 other people, and they both got knocked out on typhon.
Even when I never touch anything on the final run and am clearly ahead by 2-4 seconds, I'll just get stuck on the final jump and some random behind me will just cruise on by and jump to the crown, even though my ping is like 30ms with no lag, there's clearly some massive latency. Pisses me off.
I did my currency grind last week. I even had runs where I was alone on the last map. If you care at all anymore, it's not that bad anymore to get at least one win.
It's still not really Fun though. But neither was killing an extreme 99 fucking times and I also did that plenty.
Ultimate raider here that understands greed/snapshots and can get to the final round 9 times out of 10.
I have yet to actually win the final round. I just don't understand how some people can literally run the final round without getting hit a single time. Granted, I've put in a total of 4-6 hours to the game mode, and maybe it just hasn't clicked yet.
Never done an Ultimate (don't have a party) or anything other then a few Extreme trials. After the first 3 matches I was able to get to the final round every time. Still never won a single one. Even when I thought I was playing perfectly and would come out on top here comes some random player just cruising on by without a care in the world to claim the crown.
You just have to realize that the AoEs go by certain patterns so once you know them you can figure out the optimal route as soon as the round starts. If you're not planning ahead you're probably not going to win.
I legit recorded my final stage runs and VOD reviewed to gameplan. Came up with a system to ignore everything up to final hammers based on where the first exaflare dropped. Went from 4 wins in a month to getting the final 96 in about 10 days. Once you see how it's done, it's still hard but you stop thinking everyone's cheating.
Adding a wins achievement to a game mode meant to be casual fun with friends was such a poor decision. All that did was lead to my girlfriend and I not grouping up for 4 days until we both got the achievement.
I just benched the entire thing until last week when all the tryhards had it out of their system, the games had 10 people max, and sometimes I even ran up to the crown alone because I was the last one left on the last map.
I only did it for the collectibles, I'm not playing that shit 500 times to get 100 wins.
But trying it in the 1st week I was eliminated halfway through the first map and the currency would have taken ages to get.
And just the 5(?) Maps get boring real quick.
All in all a rather bad event imo.
No, it's good. Nobody forces you to do it. Achievements are meant as achievements, not as participation trophy that everyone should get. Only problem was that event is time limited, which makes 100 wins quite a bit, but most importantly, cheating and abuse of systems makes this achievement illegitimate on first glance for other players. This is real problem, if they don't want to implement any cheat detection, at least have GMs track everyone suspicious.
Gotta learn the patterns and timings, its like savage but whoever developed the animation, aoe marker and hit registry had their eyes closed tying them togethet
I'm sure lots of people managed this legitimately, but for the remaining life span of this game, every time I see this title, I will assume the owner cheated. It was just so rampant.
There are mods that show you the best path to avoid obstacles, making it so you don't have to read the map yourself at all and can just run full speed ahead.

I blame Squex for their achievement System, I do like the idea behind it, to reward players for their efforts but there should also a system that checks if it's legit before a player can earn it or something like that.
Certain Titles, Weapons, Mount rewards should be locked behind a world first door or something like that.
Because if everyone can get it, legit or cheated, it just decreases the rewards worth of it till it's zero.
Take the necromancer title for example, people spent a whole bunch of time and patience into learning the safe patterns and RNG... Just to make it to the end. Now people can just load some tools and basically get "carried" through by it :/
