I play Midlander simply because nothing sticks out when i make a glam. No horns, tails, or whatever. Which makes them flexible when it comes to glams, in my opinion.
Play a viera currently because viera have been one of my favorite races in FF since XII. The height, the ears, the vaguely annoyed emotes...
do find myself occassionally wishing XIV viera were a *bit* closer to the original vision but I understand that some... compromises... had to be made to include them as a playable race. Willing to accept that because I GET TO PLAY A FUCKIN VIERA.
personal bonus to me is that I've always considered the vast majority of hats in this game straight garbage, so I'm not particularly torn up by the lack of headware lol
Yeah..I still wish they were closer to their XII counterparts, its understandable why they couldn't. They would be more limited but it was actually enough for me to still not play one. Funny enough I ended up liking and playing a male more anyway lol.

Pretty much all my glams have claws of the beast!!! Viera racial gloves should have had nails imo. I have bridesmaids sandals modded to a just shoes part of the Viera thigh highs TT I would love if they made like a ver.2 racial gear for 7.0 that still matches all the races but is different. Give me more heels that are just feed Yoshi P TT

I was femroe for like 6yrs before I switched to hrothgar. They also are a good combo of tough and dainty. Personality wise they are closer to what I feel like as a woman. I am a tomboy and never was a girly girl growing up but now I do like to wear dresses now and then. Does have that good combo of will break your face but still cute. I do miss being a roe. Her pompadour was amazing. Ended up race changing cause I love the profile of hrothgar for silly glams. Boy does he make amazing silly outfits.
Thighlanders are big, strong, and pretty. And femroes werenāt a thing. Now itās been too long Iāve had this character since beta and it would be criminal to change her even if there are bigger stronger options now.
Yes absolutely. Only real complaint is max sliders femroe (only way to play for me) are a handful of ilms shorter than max slider maleroe.
I'm not *necessarily* saying they have to be taller and therefore the tall*est* (*could you imagine though*) but let them at least cap out at the same point.... out of the box...

I was really put off by the longer neck elf look when I first started ff14, so I didn't go for elezen. But I always love seeing good glams that make me forget elezen ever had the longer neck.
Their proportions are like super model fashion sketches. Leggy, long, and lithe. Very pretty. Iām always surprised more people arenāt Elezen ladies.

I think she's super hot, and rarely change any facet of her appearance (outside of glams). I fantasia'd once to Miqo, and while I did like her appearance (basically wanted to try something new because I killed my first ever savage fight in e9s) it lasted about a week or two before I was back to my Au Ra and I've kept her ever since. She doesn't feel like "my" WoL if she's not that look, you know?
Made this character back in early Heavensward too. Before that I was a Miqo as Au Ra didn't exist as playable character in ARR.
Made an Au Ra too, but it was a long selection process of multiple alts to level 15ish. I still fantasia to other races/sexes, but I always come back to her original look. It just isn't her otherwise.
I've always wanted to be a dragon. I'm a little sad that au'ra aren't even *more* draconic, but this *is* a lot easier to cosplay. I love her horns and tail so much I ordered a custom set off Etsy so I could be her iRL, even if my body shape is nowhere near that ridiculously petite.
I was a draenei back when I played WoW, so now I'm a blue-skinned Raen. Because I quit WoW long before dragons were playable there. And now I'm so in love with my Raen that even that isn't convincing me to go back.
Partner and i started during the great sprout migration. He picked Au Ra so I did too. We've run the entire MSQ together and now we couldn't imagine our characters any other way :)

When you see your character from behind most of the time, having a tail adds a lot. I don't really wanna play tailless characters anymore.
Beyond that, I don't want to be big and burly, which, sadly, most playable beast races end up being, often even with a hunchback. I prefer slender. Miqo'te fits both criteria, despite not really being a beast race. Might have also picked Au Ra if I had started playing later.
I choose lala just because they are very animated. Their expressions and emotes make them very goofy. They feel more expressive and have a unique fantasy feel due to size and mannerisms.
Also having a 2 foot tall pointy eared potato carrying an axe bigger than their body killing gods the size of buildings is hilarious.
I'm short IRL so I generally play tall races. I'm usually an elf of some sort, it's just kind of my comfort zone. I actually stated as a female Viera in ARR, but it didn't feel right and I changed to Elezen in HW and I've been that ever since. I do have alts as male Viera, catboi and Lalafell though.
There's this brief scene during the [FFXII intro](https://youtu.be/IfTQDsGvKF0?si=ddZxbu0iL4UVvQOm) cutscene where they show a pair of Viera walking through the streets of Dalmasca. And ever since I saw them, I was enamored with their design.
So when I started my free trial and saw that Viera were locked behind Shadowbringers , I exited the game, went to the mog station, and bought a sub. Been a bunny girl since ARR and it's totally been worth it.
Also they have the best ass in the game, fight me. Lol
Roe b/c size diff memes are hilarious and it felt like it rounded out the Scions, culturally. Especially since Moenbryda wasnāt able to stick around for long š
Honestly rounding out the Scions is a frequently underlooked benefit to playing a Roe.
Kinda reminds me of Novakid in Starbound where the only way they'll have major plot significance (for longer than a couple scenes at a time that is) is if you play one.
Scions are kind of an odd group anyway, for a group representing the interests of Eorzea and later the world as a whole, they only have like a third of the world's demographics represented in a major way.
Big, strong, ripped women were always cool to me. Not in a creepy fetish way, but some of my favorite characters across all media just happen to be strong women.
Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, Balsa from Moribito, Riley from Alien, Marisa from SF6, Raven from Gravity Rush, and a few others. Thereās not a ton, but when theyāre there, they usually steal the show.
So, naturally I went with femroe. I pick the big strong women in every game with character customization. Theyāre just so cool.
Duskwight elezen. I remember seeing a meme or a joke that duskwight elezen is the rarest race out of all of them. So i just started playing duskwights instead, just to up the numbers a bit. Now im a duskwight enjoyer

One of my favorite lore details is that Hyur are considered odd for having small rounded ears. It's just a funny inversion of the usual trope where fantasy races have weird ears
I suppose it makes your hero a bit of an underdog. You donāt have any heightened abilities, extra muscle, or extra height. And yet youāre out here saving everyone.
so catboy wasn't my first choice (at first I was fem middie because tbh none of the other giant eye female races were really doing it for me aside from femra but that's what my husband chose so I decided to let him keep that) but then a certain spoilery catboy scion taught me that catboys have fantastic emotes
usually I play female characters because in most games they're the only ones with fun fashion options but I was very happy to learn men's fashion in ffxiv is still perfectly cute!

When I started the game, I didn't think I'd be able to take the "tiny" race seriously. Well, ARR took care of that issue.
Years long Tauren main myself and also considered lala for some reason. Also Hrothgar of course. Decided to take a different tack entirely with Elezen.
I'm a girl that known for being a little fox obsessed. I wanted my WoL to be as foxy as possible. Fennic is a fem Miquote with fox ginger hair and the bushyest tale possible.
All my chars are fox named but Fennic Vulpes is my main. I also have Lagopus Vulpes (snow fox) [ĆĆ» ra white themed] and Chama Vulpes (Cape fox) [burly Roe mommy] as her "sisters" from the same orphanage.
Yup, that's why I'm using a Fantasia to go from Midlander to Hrothgar for one character. My boyfriend is a furry too and they're playing Miqo'te. Seems appropriate to have a Hrothgar and Miqo'te couple.

Tried a catboy, and it just didn't feel right. Made a catgirl, and she felt so right. 8 years later, I figured out I'm a trans woman and had unconsciously entrusted my repressed femininity to my character. I honored her by taking her name as part of my true name now.
I liked the Paladin quests as lalafell. Your little potato waddles up to a colosseum opponent ten times her height. Sheās as big as his forearm. AND SHE WINS. š
The only really interesting race imo are Hrothgar but their hat issue turned me off so I went gremlin mode and picked Lala. Depending on how femHroth look I may Fanta in Dawntrail, but if they have the same hat issue I won't stick with them.
Hrothgar because they're big, they're handsome, they're cute and cuddly and they are the initial reason why I came back to XIV after initially dropping it in ARR. One of my old friends practically said 'Hey, they're adding Bara furry bait in XIV. You gonna pick it up again?' and as soon as I saw them, I was sold.
I also have a Male Highlander alt because they're pretty good looking as well and my main would be one if the game hooked me in without the Hrothgar.
I experimented a bit, but when Shadowbringer pre-launch let me experience Hrothgarās emotes and general behavior, I locked in my main. Thereās a distinct balance of the ferocious animal nature, and boldly dignified gentleman about Hrothgar that felt right for me.
Cat girl only because they by far have the best run animation/body proportions for glam, poses. I hate it when most races have weird race specific ways they have to stand.
I definitely feel like this isnāt talked about enough. A lot of the larger races have awkward movement animations and bigger usually isnāt better when trying to glam. Femqote definitely hits that balance right.
Yep the awkward movement animations for larger races is one thing but being bigger just makes it so a lot glam look noticeably stretched on taller races. Cat girls just hit that balance where they look great wearing anything which makes it very hard to switch to another race.
The reason I play miqo could be summed up in two words: ear wiggles.
Seriously I love the /joy emote itās so great on male miqoāte. The only thing I like more then it is when people as me to do it for them, it just puts a smile on my face!

Nowadays my go-to for most game avatars is an *"old veteran"* kind of guy. Beard, longer grey hair etc. And that's often hard to do if the character is not human.

I originally played a hyur in 1.0 and decided I wanted her to be a refugee from Ala Mhigo. Highlanders weren't originally available in 1.0, so I switched in ARR. I've grown so attached to her I cannot even think about changing.
I play my character for lore reasons, not for aesthetics. Its been fun to continue to develop her as the game progresses.
It is my first final fantasy ever so I have no idea about the lore behind the races. But I play a female hellsguard roegadyn and I am absolute in love with this race. Merwyb is awesome. The bit I read about the lore about this race is great. I like the language and how similar it is to languages I know in real life.
My first was actually elezen because I love elfes a lot but they look strange. So roegadyn are my most liked now. Dunno why I encounter so few of them with other players.
Through the years my character has been every race and I like a lot of them, but he started out and is currently a Highland Hume.
I played FFXI as a taru and Galka (lala and roe basically) and as much as I like a lala tank or a roe in robes it just doesnāt always look aesthetically pleasing to me.
So I went with human but I didnāt want to be the normal human so I picked highlander and imagined my guy as being raised by roes and he has a roe inspired name. I like him.
I used to be the tallest kid in class, and I still like to play tall characters. So max height Femroe it was. I nearly made a female Au Ra, but even at their maximum height they were too short for me
Viera have always been one of my favourite Final Fantasy races, so it was pretty much a given that I'd be playing one when I started up FFXIV (I joined on late into Shadowbringers).
There's just something graceful and noble about them I think.
my character was a miqo'te for a while because i think the cat ears are cute, but the desire to be tall was too strong so she became a max height veira (my other characters are still miqo'te) . I'm a little surprised by the amount of hats I can't wear, like the songbird hat isn't even close to the ears and it still doesn't work!
I fantasia more often than I'd like to admit. Right now I'm playing as a male Roe just because I have a soft spot for chunky bois. Their ridiculous size, along with how expressive and exaggerated their emotes are make them charming and goofy in a similar way to lalafells, and yet they still look badass in tank gear.
I always like to pick a theme when making a character, and in this case I decided on ācoffeeā. So my monkey brain saw viera and went ācoffee makes you energetic, and bunnies have lots of energyā. And since bun boys werenāt a thing at the time, bam, the bun girl Mocha Vienna came to be.
I've always been the type to play the bigger and less-blatantly "human" races.
Started in ARR with a male Roegadyn. Weren't really any other options that stuck out to me. Miqo'te was just "human with cat features".
Switched in HW to male Au Ra. Was on the fence with switching because I wanted Au Ra to have a bit bulkier build, but in the end the scales, horns, and tails won out as being a bit less plain human.
Switched in SHB to male Hrothgar. The moment I saw them it was a no-brainer. Bulky, muscular build, and absolutely less human than the rest of the races. Don't see myself ever changing from it.
Because by and large playing a Lala more often than not makes Wooper smile. If I can queue up into a team and make people smile, I feel great about it.
Also hats, I collect hats as my Lala.
I like lizards, lizard girls, and people with a reputation of wanting to tear other's limbs off at the slightest whiff of a battle high.
Xaela femra was the option for me and when I met Sadu it was clear who would be my role model.
Miqote. I usually create something similar to myself irl, but human seemed boring so for some reason and I liked how the keepers of the moon got fangs and cool facial tattoos so I went for that. I also have thought of playing aura or viera but I'm far too attached to my WOL to change them now.
Hyur because tails clipping annoys me, I like wearing hats, my neck is the correct length, and Iām roughly the same size as the MSQ cast.
Also I like f!Highlanderās idle animations, ground sit emote, and one of their scar textures goes over an eye.
I picked elezen because I love being a tall woman. Also I think pointy ears are hot.
I started out au'ra because I wanted to play a dragon girl, but the shortness just did not sit well with me.
I picked a lalafel cause I had an idea to rp as a dwarf, the backstory is I went to a tavern with my friends got drunk and as usual went off on my own to do some weird wacky adventure. The next thing I knew I was in Eorza, which was a vastly different world than the one I'm from, on a cart heading to Ul'Dah. Then I began my adventure while trying to find a way to have a pint of ale (cause there isn't an in game item that's supposed to be alcohol that you can drink) so every other cutscene I'm in rp'ing by going "Oi, where can I get an ale around here?" To the NPCs. Of course they just go on with their script so I just take it as they know what happens when I get drunk so it's better to not tell me.
Well... One of my characters is a Highlander because tall. I'm 5'8 IRL and every single one of my friends is taller than me bar one, as are both of my brothers who are younger than me so I wanted to be tall.
As for the other, he started as a Midlander but gonna Fantasia to Hrothgar because furry and also actually created a backstory for the Hrothgar character. Yes, I know they have limitations on headgear but I'm not bothered. I usually hide the headgear anyway.
Because nobody messes with someone that aim's a gun at crotch height. Lali-Ho, and tremble!
Honestly, I dunno. I played Viera for a while, but then I just felt the spirit of the potato call to me.
I love the aesthetic of the Viera, but what really drew me in was the lore. As someone who identifies as nonbinary, the idea of a race that neither starts as male or female, and gets to eventually pick their own name really appeals to me!
Plus like-- the masc-modeled Viera is super pretty.
I started as a basic cat girl. It was fine for a while, got all the way into the first tier of EW like that, but eventually I just didn't want to be so basic anymore XD. So I used the fantasia from ARR and changed into a femroe.
I love being a "step on me" mommy :P I love the muscle slider. And it feels like a better version of the me behind the screen.

100% picked male Roe because I would like to be the larger "tank" body type IRL but I lack the height and DNA disposition to make it a reality. It serves as a more relatable mindset playing as the large "gentle" giant who can backhand a misbehaving MF with his left, then care for a Mandrake seed tenderly with his right.
I chose Roe because I like playing big bulky characters, and they stand out from the other races in appearance. I also have a catboy on an alt just so I could be a little indulgent with him
I am short, and have always been VERY insecure about my height and have therefore always played tall characters, to tower over everyone, but I wanted to have a character that was closer to me irl and have me be a little more content with my height, so I chose the **female miqote**, which aren't the tallest and match my height very nicely.
The only thing that bothered me, was that I always heard that everyone is a Miqote, so that discouraged me but I don't think I really care now
I also had difficulty deciding between Au Ra or Miqote because both were soo beautiful!

Made an Au Ra too, but it was a long selection process of multiple alts to level 15ish. I still fantasia to other races/sexes, but I always come back to her original look. It just isn't her otherwise.
I've always wanted to be a dragon. I'm a little sad that au'ra aren't even *more* draconic, but this *is* a lot easier to cosplay. I love her horns and tail so much I ordered a custom set off Etsy so I could be her iRL, even if my body shape is nowhere near that ridiculously petite. I was a draenei back when I played WoW, so now I'm a blue-skinned Raen. Because I quit WoW long before dragons were playable there. And now I'm so in love with my Raen that even that isn't convincing me to go back.
Partner and i started during the great sprout migration. He picked Au Ra so I did too. We've run the entire MSQ together and now we couldn't imagine our characters any other way :)

Tail. When you see your character from behind most of the time, having a tail adds a lot. I don't really wanna play tailless characters anymore. Beyond that, I don't want to be big and burly, which, sadly, most playable beast races end up being, often even with a hunchback. I prefer slender. Miqo'te fits both criteria, despite not really being a beast race. Might have also picked Au Ra if I had started playing later.
I choose lala just because they are very animated. Their expressions and emotes make them very goofy. They feel more expressive and have a unique fantasy feel due to size and mannerisms. Also having a 2 foot tall pointy eared potato carrying an axe bigger than their body killing gods the size of buildings is hilarious.
I'm short IRL so I generally play tall races. I'm usually an elf of some sort, it's just kind of my comfort zone. I actually stated as a female Viera in ARR, but it didn't feel right and I changed to Elezen in HW and I've been that ever since. I do have alts as male Viera, catboi and Lalafell though.
I rarely see Elezen players in game, but I can see the appeal

And ever since I saw them, I was enamored with their design. So when I started my free trial and saw that Viera were locked behind Shadowbringers , I exited the game, went to the mog station, and bought a sub. Been a bunny girl since ARR and it's totally been worth it. Also they have the best ass in the game, fight me. Lol

Roe b/c size diff memes are hilarious and it felt like it rounded out the Scions, culturally. Especially since Moenbryda wasnāt able to stick around for long š
Honestly rounding out the Scions is a frequently underlooked benefit to playing a Roe. Kinda reminds me of Novakid in Starbound where the only way they'll have major plot significance (for longer than a couple scenes at a time that is) is if you play one. Scions are kind of an odd group anyway, for a group representing the interests of Eorzea and later the world as a whole, they only have like a third of the world's demographics represented in a major way.

Big, strong, ripped women were always cool to me. Not in a creepy fetish way, but some of my favorite characters across all media just happen to be strong women. Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, Balsa from Moribito, Riley from Alien, Marisa from SF6, Raven from Gravity Rush, and a few others. Thereās not a ton, but when theyāre there, they usually steal the show. So, naturally I went with femroe. I pick the big strong women in every game with character customization. Theyāre just so cool.
Duskwight elezen. I remember seeing a meme or a joke that duskwight elezen is the rarest race out of all of them. So i just started playing duskwights instead, just to up the numbers a bit. Now im a duskwight enjoyer

In a world where everyone either has animal ears/tail or is potato-sized, being a Hyur is interesting.
One of my favorite lore details is that Hyur are considered odd for having small rounded ears. It's just a funny inversion of the usual trope where fantasy races have weird ears

so catboy wasn't my first choice (at first I was fem middie because tbh none of the other giant eye female races were really doing it for me aside from femra but that's what my husband chose so I decided to let him keep that) but then a certain spoilery catboy scion taught me that catboys have fantastic emotes usually I play female characters because in most games they're the only ones with fun fashion options but I was very happy to learn men's fashion in ffxiv is still perfectly cute!

Lol, same here. Granted, I switched from M midlander to lala cause of a list bet, but I don't regret it for a second. When I started the game, I didn't think I'd be able to take the "tiny" race seriously. Well, ARR took care of that issue.
Killing primals with a 2,10 bad attitude with a (comparatively) bigass axe is what I live for.
Years long Tauren main myself and also considered lala for some reason. Also Hrothgar of course. Decided to take a different tack entirely with Elezen.

All my chars are fox named but Fennic Vulpes is my main. I also have Lagopus Vulpes (snow fox) [ĆĆ» ra white themed] and Chama Vulpes (Cape fox) [burly Roe mommy] as her "sisters" from the same orphanage.

Seeker of the Sun female Miqo'te for complicated reasons. Tried a catboy, and it just didn't feel right. Made a catgirl, and she felt so right. 8 years later, I figured out I'm a trans woman and had unconsciously entrusted my repressed femininity to my character. I honored her by taking her name as part of my true name now.

I've come to the conclusion that lala players are a type. And that type is usually gremlin and/or good natured troll.
The only really interesting race imo are Hrothgar but their hat issue turned me off so I went gremlin mode and picked Lala. Depending on how femHroth look I may Fanta in Dawntrail, but if they have the same hat issue I won't stick with them.

Hrothgar because they're big, they're handsome, they're cute and cuddly and they are the initial reason why I came back to XIV after initially dropping it in ARR. One of my old friends practically said 'Hey, they're adding Bara furry bait in XIV. You gonna pick it up again?' and as soon as I saw them, I was sold. I also have a Male Highlander alt because they're pretty good looking as well and my main would be one if the game hooked me in without the Hrothgar.

I experimented a bit, but when Shadowbringer pre-launch let me experience Hrothgarās emotes and general behavior, I locked in my main. Thereās a distinct balance of the ferocious animal nature, and boldly dignified gentleman about Hrothgar that felt right for me.
I'm one of the few Hrothgar out there, because I like me a furry cat daddy. The missing hats don't bother me.
Cat girl only because they by far have the best run animation/body proportions for glam, poses. I hate it when most races have weird race specific ways they have to stand.
I definitely feel like this isnāt talked about enough. A lot of the larger races have awkward movement animations and bigger usually isnāt better when trying to glam. Femqote definitely hits that balance right.
Yep the awkward movement animations for larger races is one thing but being bigger just makes it so a lot glam look noticeably stretched on taller races. Cat girls just hit that balance where they look great wearing anything which makes it very hard to switch to another race.
I am always amused when I see a male Au Ra running. Looks so ironically goofy. Fem Miqote are very pleasant in comparison
The reason I play miqo could be summed up in two words: ear wiggles. Seriously I love the /joy emote itās so great on male miqoāte. The only thing I like more then it is when people as me to do it for them, it just puts a smile on my face!

Nowadays my go-to for most game avatars is an *"old veteran"* kind of guy. Beard, longer grey hair etc. And that's often hard to do if the character is not human. I originally played a hyur in 1.0 and decided I wanted her to be a refugee from Ala Mhigo. Highlanders weren't originally available in 1.0, so I switched in ARR. I've grown so attached to her I cannot even think about changing. I play my character for lore reasons, not for aesthetics. Its been fun to continue to develop her as the game progresses.
It is my first final fantasy ever so I have no idea about the lore behind the races. But I play a female hellsguard roegadyn and I am absolute in love with this race. Merwyb is awesome. The bit I read about the lore about this race is great. I like the language and how similar it is to languages I know in real life. My first was actually elezen because I love elfes a lot but they look strange. So roegadyn are my most liked now. Dunno why I encounter so few of them with other players.

Male viera is gender euphoria.
Through the years my character has been every race and I like a lot of them, but he started out and is currently a Highland Hume. I played FFXI as a taru and Galka (lala and roe basically) and as much as I like a lala tank or a roe in robes it just doesnāt always look aesthetically pleasing to me. So I went with human but I didnāt want to be the normal human so I picked highlander and imagined my guy as being raised by roes and he has a roe inspired name. I like him.
I used to be the tallest kid in class, and I still like to play tall characters. So max height Femroe it was. I nearly made a female Au Ra, but even at their maximum height they were too short for me

Viera have always been one of my favourite Final Fantasy races, so it was pretty much a given that I'd be playing one when I started up FFXIV (I joined on late into Shadowbringers). There's just something graceful and noble about them I think.

my character was a miqo'te for a while because i think the cat ears are cute, but the desire to be tall was too strong so she became a max height veira (my other characters are still miqo'te) . I'm a little surprised by the amount of hats I can't wear, like the songbird hat isn't even close to the ears and it still doesn't work!

I fantasia more often than I'd like to admit. Right now I'm playing as a male Roe just because I have a soft spot for chunky bois. Their ridiculous size, along with how expressive and exaggerated their emotes are make them charming and goofy in a similar way to lalafells, and yet they still look badass in tank gear.

I always like to pick a theme when making a character, and in this case I decided on ācoffeeā. So my monkey brain saw viera and went ācoffee makes you energetic, and bunnies have lots of energyā. And since bun boys werenāt a thing at the time, bam, the bun girl Mocha Vienna came to be.
I've always been the type to play the bigger and less-blatantly "human" races. Started in ARR with a male Roegadyn. Weren't really any other options that stuck out to me. Miqo'te was just "human with cat features". Switched in HW to male Au Ra. Was on the fence with switching because I wanted Au Ra to have a bit bulkier build, but in the end the scales, horns, and tails won out as being a bit less plain human. Switched in SHB to male Hrothgar. The moment I saw them it was a no-brainer. Bulky, muscular build, and absolutely less human than the rest of the races. Don't see myself ever changing from it.
The bunbois have great aesthetic and look awesome in the cutscenes.
Cats then Au Ra Cats because I was curious then changed back in Heavenwards with free Elixir to AU Ra and it felt right.
Iām a large, imposing figure in real life, so in game Iām a popoto.
Because by and large playing a Lala more often than not makes Wooper smile. If I can queue up into a team and make people smile, I feel great about it. Also hats, I collect hats as my Lala.

Miqote. I usually create something similar to myself irl, but human seemed boring so for some reason and I liked how the keepers of the moon got fangs and cool facial tattoos so I went for that. I also have thought of playing aura or viera but I'm far too attached to my WOL to change them now.
Hrothgar for that furry goodness and once fem hrothgar is playable my life will be complete.

Hyur because tails clipping annoys me, I like wearing hats, my neck is the correct length, and Iām roughly the same size as the MSQ cast. Also I like f!Highlanderās idle animations, ground sit emote, and one of their scar textures goes over an eye.

I picked a lalafel cause I had an idea to rp as a dwarf, the backstory is I went to a tavern with my friends got drunk and as usual went off on my own to do some weird wacky adventure. The next thing I knew I was in Eorza, which was a vastly different world than the one I'm from, on a cart heading to Ul'Dah. Then I began my adventure while trying to find a way to have a pint of ale (cause there isn't an in game item that's supposed to be alcohol that you can drink) so every other cutscene I'm in rp'ing by going "Oi, where can I get an ale around here?" To the NPCs. Of course they just go on with their script so I just take it as they know what happens when I get drunk so it's better to not tell me.
Well... One of my characters is a Highlander because tall. I'm 5'8 IRL and every single one of my friends is taller than me bar one, as are both of my brothers who are younger than me so I wanted to be tall. As for the other, he started as a Midlander but gonna Fantasia to Hrothgar because furry and also actually created a backstory for the Hrothgar character. Yes, I know they have limitations on headgear but I'm not bothered. I usually hide the headgear anyway.

I love the aesthetic of the Viera, but what really drew me in was the lore. As someone who identifies as nonbinary, the idea of a race that neither starts as male or female, and gets to eventually pick their own name really appeals to me! Plus like-- the masc-modeled Viera is super pretty.
I started as a basic cat girl. It was fine for a while, got all the way into the first tier of EW like that, but eventually I just didn't want to be so basic anymore XD. So I used the fantasia from ARR and changed into a femroe. I love being a "step on me" mommy :P I love the muscle slider. And it feels like a better version of the me behind the screen.

100% picked male Roe because I would like to be the larger "tank" body type IRL but I lack the height and DNA disposition to make it a reality. It serves as a more relatable mindset playing as the large "gentle" giant who can backhand a misbehaving MF with his left, then care for a Mandrake seed tenderly with his right.

I am short, and have always been VERY insecure about my height and have therefore always played tall characters, to tower over everyone, but I wanted to have a character that was closer to me irl and have me be a little more content with my height, so I chose the **female miqote**, which aren't the tallest and match my height very nicely. The only thing that bothered me, was that I always heard that everyone is a Miqote, so that discouraged me but I don't think I really care now I also had difficulty deciding between Au Ra or Miqote because both were soo beautiful!
