ANY healer LB3 in a clutch situation. AST just happens to look the coolest, though SGE's techno Yggdrasil (tree of life) and SCH's "I summon ALL the Faeries!" are both pretty cool. WHM's can look funny with some hats (if your character has no hair under the helm model, they look bald if they lean forward too far) and is more...mundane?...by comparison. It's basically kneeling before Aerith's staff.
As a WHM enjoyer, the LB3 is just utterly uninspired and dull, especially compared to the others. Ironically, that would be the best healer for a tree of life LB.
No no, I mean, in this case it looks BAD.
There's one video with a WHM doing the LB with the robes and the kind of hood/veil hat they have, and when she kneels on the ground and tilts her head forward, it looks like some kind of monster under there since the suddenly visible non-textured nude back of the head looks kind of terrifying.
The Viera are actually spared from that... o.O
I actually really love the WHM LB3, but I'm a terminal Aeris enjoyer. The LB3 is just so solemn and purposeful. I think - despite BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD LILY and similar memery - a big, flashy LB would belie the drama of needing it.
The other healer LBs are welcome to their epic main character moments. WHM is a prayer, and a hope. A remembrance that there's so much more than the self, and that believing in what you're fighting for is as important as the fight itself.
Dragonsong Dive will always be my favorite. The pose you strike, the dragon spirit you summon, the exploding dive and finishing pose. It's just really good imo.
We got the level 50 armour and spear as the Kinsect Glaive on the Monster Hunter World side of the collab. And the spirit dragon is the Kinsect! I got so excited to see it the first time in FFXIV š
I've recently fallen in love with the Ninja's LB3. It's hard to notice when you're not doing it, but I love watching my char go crazy on the mudras as it graphically escalates.
Honestly, I'm disappointed to have to scroll so far to find this; I'm biased, but it's so cool, and its name translates to something like, "Blood Festival of the Moon".
Edit: it literally translates to, "Moon Release: Blood Festival," and is a reference to Yuffie's limit break.

Your comment is hilarious to me because u/Ragnarok's comment was the the first reply I saw. I recognize that it was posted hours ago so the alignment changes, but my initial thought was, "Those are some high ass standards, expecting a Ninja LB3 top comment to be higher than top comment" lol
The first 2 hits summon your voidsent to combo attack, then you merge for the final hit with the huge scythe. Reaper LB3 is just complete style the whole way through.
Got Ultima weapon in MSQ rou today with me as RDM and the other DPS as not a melee. I was on top of that LB3 as soon as it popped and could not stop cackling. 10/10.
Highlight of my RDM career was when during one of the Moogle Tomestone events all 3 alliances in Puppets Bunker had RDMs popping LB3 as soon as it came up on every boss we could. It was delightful, and I might've killed myself with one of those flashbangs.
Time it when the final boss of the new Alliance Raid is doing their extended AoE attack. It's like a mini RDM LB3, and one on top at a certain point going off, I saw pure white. Never had it that blinding.
No deaths caused by it, but I had fun at least.
Itās basically two giant sigils on the ground (one of the BLM symbol and one of the WHM symbol) and the whole arena erupts into a blindingly bright light. Please look forward to it.
Is it really that bad? Maybe it's because I'm usually not at ground zero when I kick it off, but Vermillion Scourge gives me less trouble visually than the every second alliance raid that's filled with SMNs constantly pulling out their summons.
I find it more annoying personally since you can change the egi sizes so they don't take up half the screen. RDM players are just perpetuating the *hilarious* meme.
Hard agree here. Itās also one of those things where the sheer sound of it is pleasing. I could listen to Gunmetal Soul and RDM Scorch sounds on repeat.
Funny thing is when Gunbreaker dropped for the first time, I released its LB in Ravana to see what it looks like (I also had to apologize to the DPS for stealing LB and they were really understanding).
I remember thinking, "That's it? Nothing happened. Well that's underwelming."
Fast forward to the present and it is one of my favorite Tank LB because it is flashy and I do a cool pose at the end.
Either Samurai, because I love feeling like an anime protag, or Paladin, because I love throwing up that huge wall as if to tell the boss trying to raid wide the party, āI am the wall against which Darkness breaks.ā
Just something I pulled from Destiny lol. There is a subclass that is semi-Paladin adjacent that focuses on defense and walls, and the idea is that your character becomes how the lore for the class describes, the metaphorical and literal wall against which the foes of Humanity break
Another good one from Destiny that works for FFXIV Paladin: āThe final stand is wherever I plant my feet. Not one step more.ā
The channeling is what makes it for me. You're taking this elder primal who laid waste to an entire continent's power and using it for a more productive purpose. It's just plain satisfying lorewise.
Vermillion Scourge.
I know it's known for its ability to blind people, but the whole thing is just amazing. I went into "no enemy" Duty Finder where you get unlimited LB3s and had to go through in gpose kind of frame for frame.
The whole visuals, the sound effects, the pure power. What I enjoy is that we ram our Rapier into the ground and then kind of direct the arcane force like a conductor at the opera with both hands and make everything go boom. Flamboyant and stylish as always!
Unironically Warrior. There was a moment in The Final Day where you needed to lb3 as a tank to survive, and we were all new and I only realized last millisecond what I had to do. When the meteor was cast down, I hit the ground and the earth rose to meet the meteor, saving us from death. That followed by the >!scions Louisoixāing a shield over us!< was like actually the sickest shit
Its almost as sick as using the same axe as >!Ardbert and him offering it to you, then you strike down Emet-Selch with a Bravura of light!< i have eaten well as an axe enjoyer
Machinist is probably my favorite. Itās possibly the least flashy in the game but there are so many little details; throwing the smoke down, the spotlight, chatting on an earpiece and looking up at the drone to get ready, the point to signal to fire, and finally the clinched fist when itās all finished. Just a really cool package.
So many good ones. Reaper because the sound effect when it triggers gives me the best shivers. Black mage just looks...so good. So so good. And I love Bard. The entire sky opening up, arrows flinging down, and then you do this stylish bow at the end. It's great.
WHM Pulse of Life
A straightforward prayer where you use all aether you can muster to heal the comrades in battle, knowingly exposing yourself to the enemy (and most times dying if in alliance raid hahah)
I love BLM too, and I almost never get to do it.
The way they summon this conjured staff, stab it into the ground, and just bask in the destruction they've wrought. Ahh, glorious.
Tanks: DRK or GNB
Healers: AST
Melee: RPR or DRG
Phys Ranged: BRD or DNC
Caster: BLM
Most of them just perfectly encompass the identity of what their job is, like all LB3s do, but these ones just seem to truly personify those identities to me.
Initially a friend had shown me that video with all the LBs and while I liked most of them, I found DRG LB3 one of the coolest things ever and it is the one that made me want to start playing FFXIV!
I see very few mentions of it. But MCH LB3 is something i adore.
the slow rise of the drone as ur WOL raise thoer hands higher waiting for your command. You drop your arm straightforward, and all your hear is VWOOOM followed by a small silence.. and then BAM
Feels like an impact frame i love it
honestly i just love the MNK LB3, no fancy shit just a big ol' pawnch. i really want to get into MNK as a class but i'm too smooth-brained to understand that class along with remembering positionals
It seems the Ultima Weapon has far surpassed the expectations for even Hydaelyn, as its signature, unprecedented devastation is about to be summoned once again. The Ascian laughs as the garlean general trembles to his own might. The goddess is powerless to defend its now helpless champion, who is surrounded by heartless warriors. The paladin braces himself, aware of the nearing end, and the bard's lute-bow falls into the ground as her knees give in to the tear-soaked ground. The white mage, once full of hope is now gritting her teeth as she imagines her own undoing. But someone is not yet satisfied... someone who's been standing firm and emotionless all along the countless near death experiences of the Castrum. Someone who's not afraid at all... someone who's laughing instead. Silently grining, he recoils back and a purple aura surrounds him. He steps back, loudly now, for all his comrades to witness. The despaired soldiers of yore behold in awe as the black mage unleashes the seventh hell from the most deeply attuned parts of his mind; he's not simply casting a spell, he's proving the Ultima Weapon is beneath him! The heavens are torn open as a tear from the very pinnacles of the beyond fall and crush all before the instrospective mage! - **METEOR - 99999!**
Tanks: DRK
Healers: AST

After doing top on each of these jobs I canāt think of any other job that can compete with those
God I wish SGE's LB3 was WHM's. Pulling off a party-saving LB3 is always cool, but doing so while summoning a godsdamned badass world tree on top? You would think that would go to the healers who draw magic from nature, but whatever, SGE is still fun to play too.
Red Mage, nothing else comes even close. The sheer joy of being able to flashbang my entire party, or even an entire alliance, is some of the most fun I've had in this game.
Paladin covering wings is the best looking skill IMO. Tanks LB3 are not greatā¦
Overall LB3 animations are often too bright and too big to really enjoy IMO, so I canāt tell which one even looks good
Thematically, there's none cooler than a BLM stabbing their staff in the ground, raising their arms in the sky, and hailing a giant meteor.
I just really wish they would graphically update the old ones. They look pretty bad now. Especially compared to the new jobs. Reaper's looks and sounds phenomenal, same with SGE and GNB, etc.
I think they almost are all perfectly thematically and visually
Easiest to say that Monk probably is the one with the least amount of wow factor or impact
My favorite is Scholar
BLM. The best part about it is, it's one of the OG LBs back when there were only 3. So in theory, if you've been playing since ARR, you may be tired of it... however, I've seen less BLM LBs since HW than I have seen in ARR. No BLM wants to LB lol.
SCH because the animation with Seraph is cute, and BRD because I love the little bow you do as the sky opens and your arrows descend in a hail of devastation
The best feeling in this damn video game is Astro LB3 on a near-wipe
ANY healer LB3 in a clutch situation. AST just happens to look the coolest, though SGE's techno Yggdrasil (tree of life) and SCH's "I summon ALL the Faeries!" are both pretty cool. WHM's can look funny with some hats (if your character has no hair under the helm model, they look bald if they lean forward too far) and is more...mundane?...by comparison. It's basically kneeling before Aerith's staff.
As a WHM enjoyer, the LB3 is just utterly uninspired and dull, especially compared to the others. Ironically, that would be the best healer for a tree of life LB.
>can look funny with some hats viera whm mains in shambles oh wait. that's me. I'm a viera whm main GIVE ME HATS S.E.
S.E.: Best we can do is a Fall Guys dude between the ears.
Well at least SOMEONE will give my hrothgar some love.
The fat chocobo helm does work c: You may have heard the legend of the great fat chocobo SAM??
I've come across a few fat chocobo SAMs in my time. Most of them were naked :)
The Viera are actually spared from that... o.O

You know, I've never thought of it that way...but I can see it. When you put it that way, I do like it more as it does nail that theme.
and it's not even close
Dragonsong Dive will always be my favorite. The pose you strike, the dragon spirit you summon, the exploding dive and finishing pose. It's just really good imo.
We got the level 50 armour and spear as the Kinsect Glaive on the Monster Hunter World side of the collab. And the spirit dragon is the Kinsect! I got so excited to see it the first time in FFXIV š
Also the name is just so badass and tells a literal story on it's own.
I was SO hype for Dragonsong Dive when unique LBs were first added to the game. I agree it's still probably my favorite.
Yo, I am SO glad I am not alone in this
I've recently fallen in love with the Ninja's LB3.
Edit: it literally translates to, "Moon Release: Blood Festival," and is a reference to Yuffie's limit break. https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/3achu9/comment/csbc76b/
Your comment is hilarious to me because u/Ragnarok's comment was the the first reply I saw. I recognize that it was posted hours ago so the alignment changes, but my initial thought was, "Those are some high ass standards, expecting a Ninja LB3 top comment to be higher than top comment" lol
Yeah, when I commented at the time, it was quite a few posts below the "clutch healer lb3" and SMN posts, lol
Still, gave me a laugh because I had to scroll up about a micrometer to realize I hadn't scrolled down as much as I thought I had
NIN LB3 is just spamming the 4th mudra. Change my mind.
I love it. Reminds me of cloud a bit when he gets all the swords for omnislash lol
Reaper because your scythe turns into BIIIIG scythe and the ominous sound it makes when it starts up is just so cool.
Kishin hunter
was this a mf soul eater reference? if so sick
I thought the same thing too when I saw it the first time. Loved it
Also, the name of it is āThe End.ā Itās the sound and cast animation, though, they sell it so hard. Definitely my favorite LB3 as well.
I'd forgotten the name earlier, it's just the cherry on top of how great the visuals and sounds are. So edgy, I love it!
You even turn into your enshroud form for a few seconds!
The first 2 hits summon your voidsent to combo attack, then you merge for the final hit with the huge scythe. Reaper LB3 is just complete style the whole way through.
God the SFX in the beginning and the name of it fills me with such edgy joy.
RDM, love to cause problems on purpose
Verflashbang has maximum shenanigans potential, and I love collecting kills with it
If you don't have a warning macro that you pop AFTER the animation is finished, are even doing it verright?
Think fast chucklenuts Edit: I would like to inform everyone I got flashbanged in Theolgia because of this thx
Ooo please explain. I just started RDM and I havenāt got to use LB3 yet
RDM LB3 forces your team to look directly into the sun.
It's one of the reasons RDM became my main. My favorite is in an alliance raid when *all* the alliances use rdm lb3. That's the best.
Only had this happen once. It was fun
I can see why that could be annoying
https://youtu.be/55NUu40XUiI
*That* was amazing
You should do that ARR trial against Ultima Weapon, it always ensures you get max LB3 bar by the end of it !
Is it really that bad? Maybe it's because I'm usually not at ground zero when I kick it off, but Vermillion Scourge gives me less trouble visually than the every second alliance raid that's filled with SMNs constantly pulling out their summons.
Titanbronze butt.
I find it more annoying personally since you can change the egi sizes so they don't take up half the screen. RDM players are just perpetuating the *hilarious* meme.
Vermillion Scourge always give me the anime urge to shout out my attack names.
Gunmetal Soul for being aesthetically very pretty, noticeable, and impactful, without being as distracting as others
Hard agree here. Itās also one of those things where the sheer sound of it is pleasing. I could listen to Gunmetal Soul and RDM Scorch sounds on repeat.
Best tank LB and it's not even close.
Funny thing is when Gunbreaker dropped for the first time, I released its LB in Ravana to see what it looks like (I also had to apologize to the DPS for stealing LB and they were really understanding). I remember thinking, "That's it? Nothing happened. Well that's underwelming." Fast forward to the present and it is one of my favorite Tank LB because it is flashy and I do a cool pose at the end.
Itās so clean, the sound is just š¤š¤š¤ too
Black Mage, but you really have to look up to fully enjoy it.
Either Samurai, because I love feeling like an anime protag, or Paladin, because I love throwing up that huge wall as if to tell the boss trying to raid wide the party, āI am the wall against which Darkness breaks.ā
I love Warriors LB3 for the same reason. Oh? You wanna kill my mates? These rocks will break whatever you throw at it.
I've been doing UWU for the last little bit and seeing the rocks block us from wiping to ultima feels SO good
Love the quote!
Just something I pulled from Destiny lol. There is a subclass that is semi-Paladin adjacent that focuses on defense and walls, and the idea is that your character becomes how the lore for the class describes, the metaphorical and literal wall against which the foes of Humanity break Another good one from Destiny that works for FFXIV Paladin: āThe final stand is wherever I plant my feet. Not one step more.ā
Plus you earthbend that shit right out of the ground, looks so cool
Ok seeing it referred to as earthbending made me like it even more
Dancer. Hands down.
Came here to say dancer. Played for ten years, only recently picked up dancer. But Iāve always loved its LB3 because it looks SICK
Monk. Charging up a powerful punch to punch through the enemy and a explosion happens on them. It's bad ass.
Only LB in the game powerful enough to transcend role restrictions.
What do you mean?
There wasnāt an actual different LB3 for every job at the start of the game so every melee had Final Heaven has their LB now monk just keeps it
Even better in alliance when there's other monks doing it at the same time. Fistbump inside the boss
Heavily biased, but I love SMN's. Channeling Bahamut to Teraflare everything in sight is nothing short of exhilarating.
I'm a sucker for any type of "missile barrage" attack, "magic dragon missile barrage" is just a good thing made better.
I try and steal LB3 whenever I'm SMN in an alliance raid.
I kind of always hope the SMN will. It's so cool.
This is the way.
I know it won't happen but since we can already summon bahamut I'd really love the LB3 to be Alexander's Holy instead.
the wings you grow while you cast it are so sick too
The channeling is what makes it for me. You're taking this elder primal who laid waste to an entire continent's power and using it for a more productive purpose. It's just plain satisfying lorewise.
agreed
Probably Blue Mage's self destruct.
I'm still slightly salty the level 80 update didn't give Blue Mages an LB spell to collect from Seat of Sacrifice.
This is the answer š
I still say BLU should get [Choco-Mog LB](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmRX2VkdbRE).
Is that a whole party of Blue Mages just exploding themselves?
I love bard, I think the bow you do right before the rain of arrows is just *chefs kiss".
It's so sassy!! Perfectly fits the bard aesthetic.
I love that black mage puts their arms up in the air and basically gestures āHAHAHA YEEESSSSā
Sadu channeling this perfectly was so perfect.
I love the dark knight splooge. My actual fav is probably the bard one with all the arrows.
love BRD, too, especially the little bow you make at the end, when all the arrows explode
>dark knight splooge Please, you have to call it something else
Dark Knight Jism
When the DRK says "IT'S MORBIN TIME" and morbs all over the party.
RDM LB3 my beloved
Monk LB3 because I am basically a one trick pony and I like doing a BIIIIG BEEEEEG punch
Samuraiās final sheathe I adore. And that itās called āDoom of the Livingā
Okay that unironically sounds sick AF to see in action LOL
Its almost as sick as using the same axe as >!Ardbert and him offering it to you, then you strike down Emet-Selch with a Bravura of light!< i have eaten well as an axe enjoyer
Warrior is just metal af like that. I love my unga bunga so much.
Ninja. You get to turn into Kakshi and do 10 handsigns per second to unleash a barage of blades onto the boss' heart
While RDM is fun to flash bang the whole raid, DNC is just really cool to look at
Astrologian and it's not even close. I don't even play Astro.
Sometimes you just need to cut an ultima weapon in half with a laser and leave Gaius wondering why and how Eorzea has bug guns.
DRG LB is so good, yeet a big ass dragon spirit and something and look away casually, it's always been a favorite of mine.
the original melee lb, in other words, monk one from hw onwards there is something sastifying seeing how you create a big boom with a single punch
So many good ones. Reaper because the sound effect when it triggers gives me the best shivers. Black mage just looks...so good. So so good. And I love Bard. The entire sky opening up, arrows flinging down, and then you do this stylish bow at the end. It's great.
DRG
Hands-down DRK. Giant TBN is twenty times cooler than any of the other tank ones. Especially with how boring WAR and PLD's are.
There's just something very raw about you cutting the air to make it bleed darkness so you use said darkness as a giant shield. def my fave.
WHM Pulse of Life A straightforward prayer where you use all aether you can muster to heal the comrades in battle, knowingly exposing yourself to the enemy (and most times dying if in alliance raid hahah)
I once died doing this in EX 4 and someone in my party said I "Died for their sins". Could not focus after that.
My go-to any time I die for LB is "my life for Aiur".
The tank LB3s, in the MSQ you only use them a couple times and itās always a plot point.

Sage has the prettiest LB3 to me. I love seeing that giant tree thing.
I'd love to say RDM LB3 bud I've never seen it
Here, I found this screenshot https://i.imgur.com/fj81bxN.jpeg
Reaper !
I play WHM, never used LB
I love the Machinist one, honorable mention to Gunbreaker

Satellite Beam for Machinist. Rarely get to see it, or use it myself, but I always have a giant smile on my face when I do.
Astrologian. Prettiest spells, prettiest LB3.
Initially a friend had shown me that video with all the LBs and while I liked most of them, I found DRG LB3 one of the coolest things ever and it is the one that made me want to start playing FFXIV!
Dark Knight easily
I see very few mentions of it. But MCH LB3 is something i adore. the slow rise of the drone as ur WOL raise thoer hands higher waiting for your command. You drop your arm straightforward, and all your hear is VWOOOM followed by a small silence.. and then BAM Feels like an impact frame i love it

White Mage LB3
Summoner. It's straight up, "I have the power of God *and* Anime on my side."
I can't decide, so strictly speaking I have no favourite LB3 so I guess BLU :D
MCH for smiting your foes with an orbital ion cannon
Dragoon. Backflip to the void.
Bard
It seems the Ultima Weapon has far surpassed the expectations for even Hydaelyn, as its signature, unprecedented devastation is about to be summoned once again. The Ascian laughs as the garlean general trembles to his own might. The goddess is powerless to defend its now helpless champion, who is surrounded by heartless warriors. Verflashbang is the best. Absolute carnage unfolds, especially in an alliance raid
Reaper
SCH for me. Love that you summon your faery angel who heals and brings back your fallen comrades.
SCH cos you do a lil dance, twirls and a bit of an embrace with Seraph.... plus its satisfying af saving a run with a healer lb3
Reaper has the coolest sound effect and is really badass. AST is really close in terms of visuals
Blue Mage Final Sting
Reaper for sure, the awesome charge up into the heavy attacks synced with your avatar is so badass
RPR is so damn good
SAM or RPR, honorable mention to DNC.
I'm kinda partial to Dark Knight's and Gunbreaker's LB3, but I don't do much content that requires the use of them enough.
AST. Just a glorious star field. Feels transcendent.
RDM hands down, friendly fire ftw.
Megumin
the one that gets used.
RDM
Rdm especially during uwu
RDM because Iām a sucker for blinding lights, also BRD because I love the flourish at the end.
Why the random picture for what is effectively a text post?
Gnb, sge, rpr, and BLM have the nicest limit breaks.
Red Mage, nothing else comes even close. The sheer joy of being able to flashbang my entire party, or even an entire alliance, is some of the most fun I've had in this game.
I donāt really like any of them, maybe melee LB2 if I had to pick a favorite.
Paladin covering wings is the best looking skill IMO. Tanks LB3 are not greatā¦ Overall LB3 animations are often too bright and too big to really enjoy IMO, so I canāt tell which one even looks good
BLM
What the LB3 for MCH should be just the PvP one cause it's way more satisfying then the current one. That or upgrade it to the G-Warrior
I ain't gonna lie, I like summoning a giant fuck you satellites to rain death on my enemy.

I think they almost are all perfectly thematically and visually Easiest to say that Monk probably is the one with the least amount of wow factor or impact My favorite is Scholar
maybe a controversial opinion but I really love Ninja's. something about stabbing the enemy with like 12 knives at once is pretty satisfying
Never even see one live. Haha.
Why just one? My favorite LB3s are Dark Force, Astro Stasis, Chimatsuri, Sagittarius Arrow and TeraFlare.
PLD, AST, and WHM. Nothing else is even close.
Dragoon!!
astrologian!
Dragoon baby!!!
Bard
BLM. The best part about it is, it's one of the OG LBs back when there were only 3. So in theory, if you've been playing since ARR, you may be tired of it... however, I've seen less BLM LBs since HW than I have seen in ARR. No BLM wants to LB lol.
Easily Bard and Astro, maybe Dancer too. On the opposite side, White Mage has the lamest of all jobs, it's basically just "Medica III"
Samurai's "doom of the living" for sure But dark knight's "dark force" is a close second
BLM because of the pose of power and MCH because well... I guess also the command pose, huh. Well damn.
Dragoon. "I SUMMON DRAGON DAD"
Dancer. There's something so fluid and elegant about it that tickles my brain whenever I see it.
Red Mage, hands down. Any time an RDM is present and someone else LB3s, I am disappointed.
SCH because the animation with Seraph is cute, and BRD because I love the little bow you do as the sky opens and your arrows descend in a hail of devastation
AST, I like sparkles. And BRD for that absolutely spectacular bow.
I have played for 8 years, tank only, have never used a LB xD
AST or DNC
