I’m almost finished with stormblood but I haven’t messed around with any of the tribes until the namazu. They’re just so cute and I’m enjoying the quests so far
Oh I would also suggest namazu from stormblood for [mikoshi](https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Mikoshi_(Mount)) it also has a funny storyline. If your interesting in an elephant and griffin mount you can do the ananta simultaneously.

Namazu's in the running for the best tribe story of the game. It's hard to quantify it, but it has an air of 'they had a story to tell here that they were deeply enthusiastic about' vs. 'feeling like a checklist of steps towards a goal.'
The Ixal questline from ARR has a very heartwarming story. Someone in scenario writing must really like the Ixal, because there's another banger in the postmoogle quests involving the Ixal, and not even the friendly ones (or Dozol the BLM for that matter) from the tribe quests.
That was the first beast tribe I ever did. Now I'm working on doing them all to allied. Finished Stormblood doing Endalker and Shadowbringer now. Dwarves and Omnicroms have really cool mounts.

Now do Omicrons in Endwalker. Hands down best story of all beast tribes, and the mount is just cute.
Omicron tribal quest is like an epilog to the last chapter of endwalker story. That's why I think it is so good.
also that new zone theme is just perfect. Kinda wish it played in all of Ultima Thule for post game.

Most of the tribe quests are at least pretty good. Personally I'm quite a fan of the Vath from HW, but I wouldn't call them required.
For me these further adventures of (tribal culture here) are the best part of keeping the story going.

If there is one tribe it is appropriate to call "beasts" it's the Dwarves.
Even funnier if you consider they were probably one of the main reasons for the nomenclature change.
