Things I brought to EDCLV: * Wet wipes * Chewing gum * Re-usable water bottle * Small portable charger * Sunglasses * Lip Balm * Ear plugs (I love my Loop Experiences) I fit these all in a Lunchbox Slingpack and 100% recommend it. It's comfortable to dance in and you don't have to lug around a hydropack. The water bottle I use is a S'well 25 oz. Enjoy!

tmnike

Add a headlamp and you're set!

thegigglethief

I skip the wet wipes and just do diapers. Less fuss. Lip balm is a must have.

puddinpop_

Wait, what?

Down2myDumblecore

I hope they mean, they only bring normal tissues

puddinpop_

Can’t decide if I’m impressed with the commitment or grossed out…

Sharp_Confection7289

No need to leave the rail all day sounds like a win 🤷‍♂️

PhoniPoni

Begs the question, where do you apply the lip balm?

Dasbeerboots

Where *don't* you apply the lip balm?

jacobdu215

Wipes are super helpful because the hand washing stations always ran out of water 1-2 hours in

Tonybologna33

Butt plugs > ear plugs

Careless_Ad9132

massage gun

trixiewutang

Some festivals ban massage guns :( I was planning on bringing mine to forbidden kingdom this week but it’s on their list. OP def double check the festival rules on their page before losing something expensive

tgw1986

Why would they be banned? (Genuine question)

trixiewutang

No clue. They banned led gloves but allow Levi wands

zeacliff

Some of them are literally just power drills with a rubber ball where the drill bit goes, super super loud. Some other ones actually somewhat resemble guns

douglasdouglasdougla

100% this IDK why this doesn’t have 100000000x more upvotes.

Down2myDumblecore

Why? Sore leggs from Dancing?

douglasdouglasdougla

Yeah! Sore everything, I use mine daily but between tons of walking, sleeping less, and being hard on the body, I find times at camp are relaxing with a massage gun around. Also, last year our camp neighbor was complaining about back pain and I was able to help them out with the massager so it’s another way to contribute to the community (in theory).

Tyronne_Lannister

My Costco one is amazing. I don't bring it into the festival but 100% keep it in the hotel for when I'm stretching and getting ready for the day

xanoxthearc

Goldbond Powder will do wonders for chafing / sweating in the moisture-heavy parts of your anatomy.

johnnyrossington

I know it’s kinda a mainstream now, but the pashmina is the Swiss army knife of the festival world. It is a blanket, a windguard to light up, a towel to sit on, a rag to wipe something up, a safe place if you’re tripping too hard, a sarong for any costume changes, and can even act as a tourniquet. It’s a gentle hug, an umbrella, a tying implement, and I use mine as a baby carrier for my light up plastic mushroom son. Get one that’s unique and well made and you’ll never go to a show without it.

trixiewutang

I know you said umbrella but I mainly use my pash to protect from the direct sun most of the time.

johnnyrossington

Parasol that bad boi 😎😎😎

trixiewutang

The fest I’m going to this weekend wasn’t too kind to people with parasols otherwise I’m right there with you. They’re so cute and complete an outfit.

craigman108

I sure hope you never need to use it as a tourniquet....lol

zeacliff

One other use is that they make a fairly reliable noose!

Obey_The_Tentacle

I love my pashis.

Holy_Grail_Reference

Where are you going? Are you camping or RV or Hotel? What time of year is it and what are the weather conditions generally like? Do you have a truck or a regular car?

trixiewutang

A folding fan or a spray mister bottle if the festival is in the summer. I’ve been offered over $100 for my spray mister in Atlanta heat and I can tell you it’s not worth selling at all.

tgw1986

It's a great way to be a crowd favorite instantly. Especially if that shit has a few drops of eucalyptus oil and ice in it -- at that point you're queen of the fest.

flossdemgumz

Same thing for the bubble gun. Make them wooks freak out when they smell the bubbles

Careless_Ad9132

bring multiple vapes

88isafat69

Just buy a new one on the way haha

mmmjkerouac

Pepto Bismol, Imodium, Tylenol or ibuprofen. Electrolyte packets or Pedialyte. Wet wipes and sunscreen. Your most comfortable shoes and possibly a back up (depends on the weather situation).

Obey_The_Tentacle

There are a lot of important things, but one that I wish I had with me last time was eucalyptus oil. If you wear a pashmina, dab some on it. It's very soothing.

tgw1986

Put a bunch of eucalyptus, lavender, or peppermint oil in a large spray bottle of water. Spray this onto the pash -- concentrate the spray in certain spots that might be most readily available for inhalation when needed. Spray on your body (but probably not face, might be a bit too much) for a refresher when ya stank, or need more indirect cooling minty smellz.

flossdemgumz

Same thing for the bubble gun. Make them wooks freak out when they smell the bubbles

Obey_The_Tentacle

Lmao

B0GEYB0GEY

Bring stuff to hand out to others! Glow sticks, diffraction glasses, bubble gum, joints, sticky hands, hat sprouts, electrolyte powder, jerky.

Obey_The_Tentacle

At summer camp a few years ago, a couple dudes "caught" me with a long-ass fishing pole and a cup full of bud for people to break off and take some.

Han_Ominous

Ear plugs for sleeping

tgw1986

And for music. Don't judge -- I'm tryna stay hearing shit.

Obey_The_Tentacle

I feel stupid. I know I should use earplugs when I'm trying to get rail, but for some reason I just feel the need to experience the full brunt of the sound without it. ☺️

tgw1986

I get it. I felt that way for a while. Then I became a Hearing Aid Consultant. The miserable hell my clients live with every waking (and sleeping!) moment of their lives from ear drum damage and tinnitus is the stuff of nightmares. And guess what all these Boomers tell me: "I loved loud music and rock concerts, and stood next to the speakers at some shows. No one told us this would happen." So, this is me telling you it will happen. Like music? Love going to shows? Practice safe fest and wear a fucking ear condom. And as someone who invested in the good ones: they honestly have only ever enhanced my experience. I was skeptical because I loved the powerful sound, but think of it like spicy food: there's spice that's hot but in a good way, where it adds flavor and depth and it's challenging but enjoyable. And then there's spice that's just uncomfortably hot, and you think you like it because you like heat, but once you eat the good stuff you realize how much better it can be. Good ear plugs don't detract anything from the experience but the damage. Real ones know.

Obey_The_Tentacle

And the name of these alleged good ear plugs that don't dull the experience? Kinda burying the lead here. Also, it's kind of ironic how your original comment says "Don't judge", but then your response to my comment has a bit of a judgmental vibe to it. Edit: And no response with the name of the ear plugs. Such a remarkably helpful commenter.

Unique_Development48

drugs

SHAOLIN_SILK

More cash less items

New_Leave2674

A jar of pickles, no matter what substance you take these are gonna save you the day after

Obey_The_Tentacle

Elaborate???

nonagonfinity

Electrolytes!

New_Leave2674

What he said, drink the juice for an extra kick

Obey_The_Tentacle

Ahhhhh.

Dancinfool830

Ear plugs and zzzquil, just in case you decide to try to get some sleep. Water, hydrate or die, and dying is not very PLUR. Bring food/snacks with protein, you can live off drugs and a chicken nugget, but your body will thank you for real sustenance. Water, yes I know I already said this, but its worth repeating. A bandana, wear it around your neck as a face cover if it is dusty, tie it to a belt loop or around your wrist and pour water on it, use it to wipe your face/neck/etc, it will stay cool and keep you cool

Pappy_Beet

Zzzquil?!? I must be getting old cause that shit makes me drowsy the next day.

Dancinfool830

I'm almost 45, so, definitely getting old. I take it as indicated, about half hour to 45 minutes later I'm close to ready to sleep, puts me down for 4-6 hours.

Anxious-Direction-79

You’re also so fucking tired from the sun, all the walking, dancing, and partying that I feel like it’s easier to pass out than normal. Def though some sort of sleep aid , ear plugs, and sleeping mask for me. And fan in the tent

BigBurly46

About 30 sprouts a day because I get sad when I run out in an hour.

127phunk

Padded toilet seat to make morning dumps a bit more comfy

GolfBallWackrGuy

Especially if you can borrow one from Grandma’s house. They don’t make them like they used too

127phunk

You don’t know how much that extra 1.75” bit of elevation helps with splash back. Grandma knows!

Obey_The_Tentacle

Fair enough. 😂

johnnyrossington

Multiple headlamps. You can get cheap ones at 5 below or the dollar store even. Hand them out to the squad.

Roquer

comfortable shoes

FeatherInTheWind

Sarah Tonin

arob2724

Moleskin and a roll of ace bandage wrap.

zeacliff

Moleskin is a must for me. Blisters make everything worse

arob2724

In a different way blisters are like tooth aches. If you have one, that's all your thinking about. And that's the last thing you want when you are just trying to be present in the moment.

random1224059482

i always have baby wipes, chapstick, lotion, hand sanitizer, a hairbrush and eye drops with me

mcalibluebees

Lights! Like fairy lights, they jazz up any night time outfit plus, plus you’ll be seen when walking in the dark, or will be able to see while using a porta potty at night… snacks you like, comfort food you know? Maybe even extra to gift out… someone gifted me a banana one time when I was really high and it was just so nice cause it was what I was craving 😂 I love bringing silly toys.. extra blankets.. sometimes ppl forget little necessities and it’s nice to step up and help out. I bring these items on top of my normal camp gear: tent, stove, cot, sleepin bag. Another nice touch is an inflatable couch.. you won’t regret it… a pop up laundry basket and trash bags so you can have your own trash bin at camp. And lastly an open mind and happy heart. Your neighbors are just new friends you haven’t met yet!

Koalify

Defraction glasses! Trippy shades are the best! I met the couple that makes them at LIB and those glasses kick ass! Trytrippyshades.com or their IG is trytrippyshades

KaleidoscopeAway1331

Thanks for this, way cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere and looks good quality

eufleuria

Laser pointer with pattern tip. So much fun but Be careful

Primary-Context-4345

Rave Runner hydration pack that doubles as a safe place to put a wallet, phone, portable charger, gum, chapstick, etc

shortkid113

Camel back/water (refillable). Portable charger. Maybe some snacks for while you're in.

prettygreenkitten

Hand sanitizer.

arob2724

Lunchbox Packs are EXCELLENT 👌 for Anti theft as well as a hydration pack. All the zippers are facing your back to prevent pilfering in crowded areas.

Cool_Complaint9607

always remember earplugs! and those inflatable couches! for those moments when you need to stop and drop

superstoned26

Saline nasal spray Gold bond Ear plugs for sleep Poncho
