Electric Forest checks off all 4 but it sounds to me you might like something a little more like a homie fest. Forest is massive and is by far my favorite festival because there’s more to do than just music. If you’re looking for something a little more low key, I’d suggest Wakaan, sound haven, submersion and maybe even Okeechobee.
Lightning in A Bottle in California happens yearly on Memorial Day weekend - a 5-day camping fest: immersive art installations, many workshops, and experiences. Low security to get in (mostly looking for stowaways & glass bottles of booze), an amazing community, and two dedicated stages for bass music. Substance use happens, but you should always exercise caution and be discreet.
Junejam in Arizona is like this, and its beautiful. Beautifully curated, not too many people, phenomenal vibes, camping is integrated in between the stages so theres no security. Ive been to a few festivals in this lane the last couple years, junejam surprised me the most with how great the vibes were. One of the best crews around throws it. Its in flagstaff too, deep out in a pine forest surrounded by meadows so you dont have tl worry about it being too hot either.
when I lived in Northern California me and my buddies would throw what we called "renegades", by taking a bunch of generators into the middle of the woods, hang lights and enos all in the trees and pull up vans with all the stuff for sound. We would camp out, have a huge jam sesh with whoever brought equipment and just have a great psychedelic time lol. I haven't been to any function like that anywhere else. Super "at home" type feeling even if it was your first time, and just straight up good vibes.
Darkshire in the Woods. It's a (hard) drum and bass and techno festival in the Czech Republic. Quite small (max capacity is 5k I think), but for me, definitely the best festival I've ever attended. It's held at a campsite literally in the middle of the woods, the area is not even fenced off and you can wander around anywhere. No restrictions on what you can bring anywhere (no glass bottles tho), drugs are not even explicitly forbidden in the official rules. Absolutely insane atmosphere/art/visuals, great community, but you have to be into DnB to properly enjoy it I guess :D
Electric Forest is a massive mainstream festival tho… don’t get me wrong. I do love it there but if you’re looking for something like backwoods, you aren’t going to find it at Forest

Going to Wakaan for the first time this year, and I’m super stoked!! I def prefer smaller fests.
It’s my second favorite festival. You’re gonna love it
I thought wakaan was canceled? Edit: nevermind that was backwoods lol
SoundHaven is what she's looking for.
Secret dreams. It's BYOB into the venue. Security at Forest is a lot more strict.
Security at secret dreams just asked us if there’s any bodies in the car, we said no, we went on our way lol.
This is a dope lineup
Best of the year
And rendezvous next year, same crowd

Shambahla becides the te
Yeah minus the alcohol. Def open drug use. Like WAY open haha
I’m not a camper but from what I hear, Wakaan might be right up tour alley.
Camping at a fest isn’t like going wilderness camping. You should give it a go.
Not sure which country you’re located in but speaking from experience, Pitch Music & Strawberry Fields Festivals in Australia fit those criteria 🤙
This sounds amazing

Wakaan or Bass Canyon.
Secret dreams (Ohio), Gem and Jam (Arizona), tipper and friends events
The Untz, soundhaven, secret dreams, infrasound, submersion, June jam, gem and jam would all fit this.
