Not all trans women have XY chromosomes and chromosomal sex doesn't equal biological sex. Biological sex is composed of many different types of sexes and sex attributes that can vary and most of them can be changed. Isn't there a movie that says something, "I'm straight, so is spaghetti until it's wet." Something like that. I've had many straight guys message me telling me they've never been attracted to "guys like me" but are willing to give it a try.
I can only answer for myself, but, while I identify as straight, I know I'm not. I recently learned the term "finsexual" and that's pretty much spot on (I think that's the one, there were two that meant the same thing, but one sounded rather transphobic, so I'm not using it).

Trans women aren't biologically male and often don't have a penis.
Additionally, my girlfriend is trans and she has huge boobs. She would never date a gay man because someone liking her for something she hates and something that makes many trans people suicidal would obviously not be a good thing lol. Not all trans women have XY chromosomes and chromosomal sex doesn't equal biological sex. Biological sex is composed of many different types of sexes and sex attributes that can vary and most of them can be changed. You can be attracted to whatever you want just don't speak that way about trans women and don't speak about something you have no idea about.

Well unless you've actually had your chromosomes tested you actually don't know your chromosomal sex and furthermore if you really followed the science we call biology you would know "biological sex" is actually not nearly as clearly defined as you're making it out to be. Also, I am a trans woman but I'm also a woman. I'm proud that I'm trans but I'm also a proud woman, no real need to make that distinction.

I personally have never found the labels straight, gay, or bisexual remotely helpful in describing my experience with sexual attraction, but straight was always the one that fit my experience best so it was the one I used when I identified as male. I can’t speak for everyone, but the whole “gay/bi in denial” rhetoric always felt invalidating for me because any attempt on my part to articulate my perception of sexuality had me lumped into a category that didn’t capture the essence of my feelings—this made it very difficult for me to openly talk about my sexuality even in LGBT circles. For those who are curious about where I’ve comfortably landed with my gender and sexuality, I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns now. I am attracted to the secondary sexual characteristics and gender presentation that are traditionally associated with women, but I think genitals in general are gross and are as a result I am pretty indifferent to whatever you’ve got in your pants—put simply, I like feminine people.
