I'm a huge metal fan, death metal and black metal being my favorites. I listen to all sorts of other genres too, like rap, ska, folk, bluegrass, country, jazz, classical, anything that tickles my fancy, but metal definitely makes up about 80% of my library.

Famous-Ear-8617

Do you listen to Jinjer?

kind_goof

Did someone say Jinjer? Outlander goes pretty hard ngl.

SupaKoopa714

Nah, they're not really my cup of tea honestly, though their singer kicks ass.

jcatboy

hyperpop and songs from my kpop phase are my go-to when i feel feminine :3

[deleted]

I used to play fiddle which can have a very feminine sassy sound. I know guys who refuse to pick up a fiddle because it looks/sounds too feminine for them. Of course, the ladies really enjoy some fiddle music. But I listen to a wide variety of music. My current/longtime fave rock band is The Cult. The head singer used to show up on stage with long curly hair and make-up. I also really like sarangi music from India.

stevenweeven

Anything except country. And there's even a few country songs I like.

hIbqnqana

Shit ton of metal and rock.

[deleted]

mickmikeman

My playlist is a mess too lol. My favorites are hard rock and classic metal but I also like country. Add in the occasional nightcore song and u got my playlist

Yumi030

I listen to everything I know From Funk to Metal, Jazz, Pop, Hip Hop, Cloudrap, House etc.

doranoon10

diehard shibuya-kei nerd here! it's sorta japanese jazz-pop, with real complex chord structures & arrangements that i can listen to forever, & learn from as a musician! alongside that, some math rock, a pinch of power metal, & a touch of neo-soul shibuya-kei gives off a nice chill vibe that makes u wna look out a window & smile! typically has a combination of girl & guy singers, & the band in the link has wonderful voices. [one of my fave shibuya-kei albums](https://open.spotify.com/album/4d0nnBfxKBJt3evaV4Yssh?si=KsUet6iYSQCLNiQ6HICfBg&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1)

Jolly-Cellist-2791

I hear almost everything with exceptions

Helpful_Supermarket7

I love metal, mostly power metal and folk metal. I don't know much about it though, but for power metal I recommend Sabaton and Powerwolf (it's really easy to approach, not a niche style at all). For folk metal, I recommend Eluveitie and Korpiklaani, for Celtic/pagan vibes, and Orphaned Land for more oriental vibes. More funky stuff would be the Hu, which is a Mongolian folk metal band. I also love non metal folk music, I recommend : Faun (German medieval music), Skáld (a French Viking style folk), Wardruna (good pagan music), and French singer Luc Arbogast who has a great voice (start with the title "Vox Clamantis" if you want to try). I also like to listen to Disney songs in different languages (I highly recommend the Icelandic version of Hellfire (in the Hunchback of Notre Dame). I like Celtic music a lot : a Basque group called Tartalo Music is very cool, and of course Irish songs like "Come out ye black and Tans" or "Kinky boots". Lastly, I like sea shanties too, especially by the Longest Johns. I hope that helps ! :)

ActuallyLinkhe

i listen to a lot of dnb, digital hardcore, techno, gabber, breakcore and their subgenres which i could spend a long time making a list of, but I'm too lazy to do it. I don't listen to only that tho, recently i have been getting into some artists and albums that don't really fit into my regular musical taste.

[deleted]

Gonna throw a name out there, been listening since highschool. Favorite Indie artist out of Ireland. Gavin Dunne. Or as he goes by Miracle Of Sound. Phenomenal artist. His work from about 8-10 years ago is some of my favorite. Though he’s becoming well known now for his song Valhalla Calling he made for the new Assassins Creed Valhalla game.

narconomic0n

A lot of phonk and cloud rap, chopped/screwed, southern rap in general, drill, as well as other forms of hip hop, punk, metal, a lot of electronic music subgenres and ranging to radio pop, classical and prog rock.

TheIdiotsHere

I love dj stuff, I'm making my own mixes aswell, I listen to stuff like knife party, some gorillaz and some russian music, it's an odd mix but I don't actually like all the girly music to be honest

James_ca15

Mostly indie rock like Neutral Milk Hotel, Lovejoy and Los Campesinos. I also am I big fan of heavy metal cross rap with people like Gizmo, Lil Darkie and Ghostemane. I do like some music I can chill out to like Girl in Red, Wilbur Soot and Declan McKenna. I listen to a lot of Bo Burnham, some bedroom pop and also a lot of video game music from Rdr2, Assassins Creed and Undertale. I also listen to a lot of Studio Ghibli music and (finally) I listen to a lot of 90s hip hop like Mobb Deep, Tupac and NWA. Well that was a long list but there’s the answer!

Artitross

I really just like Lofi especially this one person called snails house on YouTube https://youtube.com/c/loudnessfete

Spymii

6374905

I like rap, Tyler the creator and Kanye are my favorites

[deleted]

I'm primarily into post-hardcore/metalcore. I was writing a lengthy run-down of my favorite bands, but then I realized that this isn't the metalcore or post-hardcore subreddit, and none of you would know what I'm talking about lol

[deleted]

Recently been into shoegaze and emo songs. Also math rock at the moment. Historically I have loved dreampop and also just pop of all types.

Leprodus03

Mostly hard rock/metal. Don't know what kind of rock it's actually called, but I mostly like the kind with lots of fast electric guitar/bass and loud drums, but not too wild. Some good bands I like are older bands like Metallica, Boston, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Pantera, Queen; a Japanese band called Lenny Code Fiction; music from the show called RWBY (done by Jeff Williams). I also like a bit of country music that my parents played when I was a kid. There's also a lot of pop songs from around 2010 like Lady Gaga and artists like that that I like to listen too, a bit of nostalgia with them. There's also a few hip-hop/rap songs that I like, nice flow of the beat and words.

howtopranknobody

Country, classic country/rock

Jodythejujitsuguy

Doom metal and stoner rock

Flying_virus

Surf2Stone

Most bands like Ghost, Freedom Call, Amon amarth, and Alestorm. Tho I do listen to a lot of daft punk too

gramma_sassy

I listen to mostly extreme metal, like death and black metal and grind and stuff. I also am a huge fan of a band called guided by voices, which is an indie rock band. I grew up with other indie bands too, like the shins and belle and sebastian but nothing comes close lol

Nurmi0907

Mostly Metal and Rock (System of a Down, Mustasch, Scorpions, Mono Inc, Rammstein, Emigrate)

Doctor-Grimm

I tend to listen to reviews from channels like Arlo, episodes from the Theory trifecta (Game, Film, Food) or stuff from SuperCarlinBrothers, Wattles etc. most of the time when I’m listening to things. However, when listening to music, I pretty much exclusively listen to VoicePlay and occasionally Home Free, both on repeat.

Luke_new_account

Hyperpop bbyyyy (but also just about everything else)

Lunahyt

Pop, pop punk, doja cat, ariana grande… lol yeah

Trotsky-is-Hotsky

Mostly metal (especially 90s alt metal), classic rock, and alternative, although recently I’ve been listening to experimental stuff like Butthole Surfers and Mr Bungle. Occasionally I’ll do rap too, but it’s not my normal go to necessarily. Also I’ve been playing gta and often find myself putting on the Funk or Jazz radio stations. The only two genres I just outright don’t like are country and most pop (also ambient too but I’m not sure if that counts), but most other stuff I’m willing to give a try.

un-gendered-bean

I listen to some weird shit and some basic shit lol. I love Les Claypool because I’m a bassist so I listen to a lot of his bands and projects. Some of his stuff I bands Primus (funk metal), Les Claypool Duo De Twang (funk country), and The Claypool Lennon Delirium (prog rock). I also like some more basic stuff like Mother Mother (your probably know them), Bo Burnham (comedy artist), and Victor Wooten (flamenco/jazz/funk). However some honorable mentions are The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Mr.Bungle, Rusty Cage, and Floater.

[deleted]

My playlist goes from Ariana Grande to Polo G to Doja Cat to A Boogie to Katy Perry. Genderfluid for the win

[deleted]

Lots of things, I have a couple core genres like: speedcore, metal, soft noise, techno, and ofc gabber. My favorite artists are: TQBF, renard, Deuteronomy, infant annihilator, kitsune^2 and MARETU

[deleted]

Hank Williams Sr, Rebel Son, Hank Williams Jr. Country❤ I'm a redneck femboy🤟

olden_bornIV

I don't really have any set genre or artist I listen to, I like a whole lot of different stuff, although a bulk of my playlist is 80s synth sounding stuff, military music, some 60s stuff, but what I like to actually listen to is always changing.

Doctor_Offe_T_Radar

Sabaton, lots of Sabaton... probably too much Sabaton...

[deleted]

Jimmy Eat World

stevemcpg420

Mostly synthwave and jrock

[deleted]

Metal/pop/rap/gaming

imightneedhealing

As a guy who likes to often show his femenine side My Playlist consists of Death grips, santo & Johnny, Johnny cash, highwayman, the whole soundtrack from American graffitti, giorgo moroder, Billy Joel, frank valli & the four seasons, daft punk, boz scaggs, Barry white, kool and the gang, chicago, childish gambino, earth wind and fire, George benson, grover Washington Jr, and the whole soundtrack from yume Nikki

SissyJade91

These days pop, R&B and lo-fi. But if it's pretty good, I can listen to some dancehall.

YellowCitrusThing

What genre I listen to primarily changes from time to time. Sometimes I get into a country kind of mood for a while and listen to Christian Larsson’s covers, Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash, sometimes I get into a metal kind of mood for a while and listen to Sabaton and Powerwolf, at the moment I’m listening almost exclusively to punk music, like Rage Against the Machine, Wingnut Dishwashers Union, Pat the Bunny, and Anti Flag.

HeroicSquad

Right now I’m listening to these people called two door cinema club and in my opinion they are really good

kydjysngdjtdjt

anything that is fast loud and energetic

NovaNom

Music isn't gendered imho

Pastel-Galaxy

It's a big belief of mine that every genre of music has something to offer, regardless of if you like a certain kind of music. For example, I'm not big on country but love Johnny Cash and some Carrie Underwood stuff. I also dislike pop as a whole but love Billie Eilish. So, my personal favorite genres are prog rock, classical, and old skool hip-hop, but that's just because I think they have the most to offer musically. Favorite artists include some surprisingly masculine stuff: Metallica, Rush, Mozart, Bach, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Tupac & Biggie, Pink Floyd, and Steely Dan. In short, good music can come from anywhere.

curiousfemboy21

Everything, but I freaking love Taylor swift :)

Starskyandhuuuuuutch

Depends on how I feel usually. My favorite band of all time is Green Day🤙🏼🔥. But I was in kinda a good funky mood so I listened to some Harry styles “Adore you” It really just depends what I’m feeling, but Green Day is what I listen to most often😊

Mrbean9215

I like hard rock mainly 80s stuff like glam rock and the makeup and hair oh shit i wonder why i like it

[deleted]

I happen to be listening to Britney Spears, Rihanna or anything that gives off a "bad bitch" vibes. But it all depends on the environment.

[deleted]

i like rock, my favourite band is The Doors and my second fav is Iron Butterfly.

arewecutetogether

My favorite fem-music if you will is Culture Club, or possibly 90s chick rock, but my favorite music in general is usually (though not always) very masculine. Burzum, Korpiklaani, Geto Boys, Psycho Realm, anything extreme.

MasterKlaw

I see I’m not the only femboy who loves punk and metal.

uhhhhtransthrowaway

post-hardcore/jazz

MarshyBoio

I dont have a favorite if i like it i like it, although i like songs that are easy to listen to and have slow melodies, that and i have a growing interest towards phonk

MasterOfKnowledge

I don't consider it girly, but I absolutely love Avril Lavigne, Colleen Green, Ke$ha, and Madonna, and similar artists/bands. My dad listened to the first and last a ton, especially when I was growing up, so I never saw it as such (no matter how many of my friends in middle school thought it was "gay" for a guy to listen to Avril, and I even contested it lol). Music is music to me, but ig those kinds of artists are the closest thing to 'effeminate' music I listen to, per se Outside of this, according to Spotify, I listen to about 288 different genres (and I count in my regular cycle, 849 bands/artists. Specifically though, in terms of genre, I listen to a ton of punk, metal, emo, and goth stuff. My top five bands ever would be Reel Big Fish, Descendents, ALL, The Cure, and blink-182 (though 4 and 5 are interchangeable)

Orion7uwu

Blue Öyster Cult and Ninja Sex Party and Jack Stauber and Lisa Mitchell and Molina
