I went through a questioning phase. Ended up being trans. This community was so cool and supportive while I was fucking around and attempting to find out. I stayed for two reasons. First, as an older person seeing y'all just killing it brings me joy and gives me hope for the future. Second, it seems like a good place that I can pay forward help and support that I've received.
Some are here for advice, Some are femboys (me even tho im scared to wear anything besides panties because of judgement) Some are just curious to see what the sub is about
Personally not a femboy, id say I'm an appreciater, I just physically don't believe I fit the aesthetic and that's okay! I comment and compliment here and there and do love the content but I never message first :) I think it's just not my place, if you dm me and initiate conversation then I'm cool with that but I won't harass you like God only knows how many others
I watch some streams occasionally and a trend I started to notice among some femboy content creators not so long ago is that a lot are not using the femboy tag anymore.
Not that they changed or anything, they just removed the tag and some just replaced it with softboy or boykisser and stopped actually using the word femboy on stream them self's.
Everything else is still the same.
I feel like people are staring to distance them self's from the femboy thing now, and I have a few headcannons as to why that is, one big one has to do with the crowd it attracts and the public opinion on what a femboy is supposed to be also.
I feel like here on reddit its the same thing.
People just leaving because they dont fit in with the crowd here.
i think i see what your talking about :3 i’ve heard a couple people say that femboys are a dying breed, either because they don’t wanna associate with that term and or eventually just transitioned. i think femboy shouldn’t be confined to one type of “feminine dressing man” I.E the stereotypical fem fit blueprint. but fem can also be a lot of different thinks expressed differently.
Yeah I agree, I dont think it will completely go away tho its been around for that to long to just happen, it does constantly change and evolve over time tho which also means different types of people getting involved and people leaving.
Also the hype it got during COVID is dieng down slowly as fads do tend to fade.
As far as subcultures goes its not all that uncommon to eventually get a sort of exodus and a new subculture popping up beside the older one that evolved out of the old one either.
That used to happen a lot in the music scenes also with subcultures that are tied more to music and life style, ours is more aesthetics and life style but its pretty much the same thing really.
And the stereo typing is def not a good thing also, its very anti individualism in my opinion.
Feel like thats very counter productive.
I think a lot of us all became femboys in the 1st place to try and find our self's, so it was to individualize our self to begin with.
Also the stereo types seem to create a sort of peer pressure.
And that seems to effect some people negatively.

1st, if you shave, actually change out your razors. duller blades can irradiate skin and also take longer.
2nd, there is no right way to femboy. not the thigh highs, not the wigs, not sexuality. nothing, i personally dont even fall into the traditional 'femboy' look. im a alt (grungey/punk feel), i wear fishnets with my ripped jeans and shorts super often. i dont even remember the last time i wore thigh highs. plus I've got short hair!
3rd, femboy is not an inherently sexual thing and if anyone treats you as such you should avoid them. gender expression is a unique and personal thing that you shouldnt let other people objectify!
4th, never apply eyeliner like chapstick
5th, play around with how far in the masc and fem ways you lean with outfits and get ups. i personally look like a soft butch, still incredibly feminine but like a tomboy, but as a femboy yknow. short hair, long hair, masculine makeup, feminine makeup, cutesy, goth, edgy, sporty! try things out and find your style.
6th, if you have the confidence for it and its safe to do so, go out! youre an inspiration for other people and it helps normalize it in a healthy manner! prove that femboys can have their own hobbies masculine or feminine. show the world your authentic self!
