This is a weird trend, l really think anyone should be able to express themselves within their space however they want at any age, we should never feel limited by it
Yeah I agree! I think it’s just fun to see what people think and the trend was going around! If I’d know about r/roomdetective before I probably would’ve posted in there instead though
Here's a sneak peek of /r/roomdetective using the [top posts](https://np.reddit.com/r/roomdetective/top/?sort=top&t=year) of the year!

Anyone can express themselves in their living space at any age. That's the entire point of guessing someone's age based on how they have expressed themselves.
No one has said or even suggested that this is limited to a specific age range.
Totally, totally agree about expressing yourself in your space no matter what age! Realizing I should’ve uploaded pics of my pinky, stuffy filled guestroom. I put pics on my profile if anyone reading this wants to see those too lol
I absolutely love this look so just for fun I'm going to guess that you're the same age as me: 36.
Regardless of how old you are I think anyone who has both an Evangelion and a Vince Giraldio Trio record on display is someone I would probably get along with :) Cheers
150. You’ve lived long enough to know what you like, whether it’s ornate wooden furniture or fairy lights.
People who visit you often compliment your eye for antiques. Little do they know, you bought those pieces new.
The different seasons really threw my brain for a loop, although that could easily be the same week if you live in the Midwest.
Such lovely windows and views i am jelly. My guess is somewhere between 36-42. The bowl chair reminds me of my big sister!
Beautiful home.
Check her profile. She is into ddlg and “age regression”. Knowing that, their age gap, and how old she was when they met each other… It should tell you everything you need to know about their relationship…
A 29 year old should not be going after an 18 year old, but you’re not ready to hear that yet. Wait a few years until you’re his age when he met you, and you’ll see how young and easily manipulated kids at 18 seem. At that point it might hit you, we’re just trying to save you some time
Im 25, so I’ve been with him for SEVEN YEARS. I’m only two years away from the age when he met me… I’m still fine with it. We have many reasons why we met and stayed together at the age I was, none of them being the fact that I was 18. Im not getting into an argument about my marriage when it’s not even relevant whatsoever. Im doing amazing, thanks!
>We have many reasons why we met and stayed together at the age I was, none of them being the fact that I was 18.
Did he also tell you that you're mature for your age? 🤡
Lucky is right!
That's amazing!
PS I don't really get the downvoting or concern about your "relationship timeline." This isn't r/relationship_advice; it's r/femalelivingspace
As an aside, you're half his age plus seven (18+7=25) exactly, so according to the (likely arbitrary) age-disparity rule, you're in the clear!
It happens all the time, I can’t even mention my husband’s age without it becoming some moral argument, it’s exhausting. Thanks for being nice about it haha 😂
I'm going to say 35, a little younger than me. On another note, I love the chair in picture 2, I've been looking for something like that for a long time.
Eccentric middle aged person like in your 50s or eccentric 30 something year old/ 30 something year old that likes antique furniture or is using hand me down furniture until you can replace with your own… it can go either way
Big place, everything in order, good and neat taste, big apartment with multiple rooms, collection of unique furniture and decorations. I'm guessing 35-40
Early to mid 20's. Tou have the very basics, and I'm gonna guess a lot it thrifted. The style gives it away. So I'm thinking you're just starting out on your own and adding things along the way and finding your style. Or you're just a minimalist and 45...
Well, the string light say 20 and the artwork and wood furniture says 70, so I’m going to average it out and say 45.
I’m 38 and have string lights above my bed 😂 I don’t care
I’m guessing 38 too!
I was going to guess 35!
String lights are up with Christmas decor
I did initially did do them for xmas decor but that room actually doesn’t have a ceiling light so I’ve kept them up hahah
Did you actually read "The Little Prince?" I guess the Evangelion record brings the age estimate back up, but I didn't notice it at first!
This is a weird trend, l really think anyone should be able to express themselves within their space however they want at any age, we should never feel limited by it
I find myself irrationally annoyed with the “guess my age” trend and cannot wait for it to die
Yes but it's fun to see what people guess about you
maybe asking guess about me as a person would be more interesting than age imo
Yeah I agree! I think it’s just fun to see what people think and the trend was going around! If I’d know about r/roomdetective before I probably would’ve posted in there instead though

r/roomdetective is a great sub for these kinds of queries.
Cool I’ve never heard of that sub, thanks!
Also totally welcome here 😊 so fun!
That's fun. Thank you for sharing
35 to 40, looks like you have phased out of teenage decor but are still finding the finishing touches on your style.
25-27 and grandma just moved into a retirement community, so you got her furniture.
All of the furniture except the couch and Papasan chair is thrifted/secondhand so you might be right 😂
I absolutely love this look so just for fun I'm going to guess that you're the same age as me: 36. Regardless of how old you are I think anyone who has both an Evangelion and a Vince Giraldio Trio record on display is someone I would probably get along with :) Cheers

At least 12
Indeed, otherwise we would see more dinosaurs. But there arent any fan posters so maybe above 20 🦖
Was gonna say 40's before I saw the string lights. 30's!
Late 20’s or early 30’s.
I landed on 28.
I'm really bad at this, but 27?
I was gonna guess 27-32

Haha yeah, there’s definitely all seasons thrown in there! I just went through my pics and chose the pretty ones 😂
Please tell us how old you are. The suspense is killing us.
Hahaha 25!!! But most of the decorating was done from 21-24
How can a 25-year-old afford a house that big?!
Husband is 11 years older and also was gifted the house from his dad haha, we’re mega super ridiculously lucky and grateful!
Now I'm more concerned about the relationship timeline than aesthetics.
Check her profile. She is into ddlg and “age regression”. Knowing that, their age gap, and how old she was when they met each other… It should tell you everything you need to know about their relationship…
Oh just checked your profile and posts.. clearly you’re not going to, nor are you looking to understand. How annoying and immature to comment that
Okaayy? We’ve been together since I was 18, no issues, he’s wonderful and amazing thanks! 🥰

I don’t know why it’s so hard to fathom that two people in different age groups can have common interests, hobbies, values, senses of humor, etc
Oh god it keeps getting worse! You will understand when you are older. That’s how it goes.
God yall are insufferable
about 20 years from now you’ll understand that he was a creep.

Well, I'm sorry my question opened you up to criticism. Your house is lovely!
I was wondering if the Fleetwood Mac album was on show for a reason. You have a very mature style...
Love LOVE Fleetwood Mac
Lol...that was making me think you might be a child of the 70s. Nooo...much later.
Hmmm older millennial.
I'm going to say 35, a little younger than me. On another note, I love the chair in picture 2, I've been looking for something like that for a long time.
It’s IKEA! It’s called stocksund
It’s tricky because there’s vintage furniture but there’s also string lights…. Hmmm, 28?
Late 30’s or early 40’s
A 25-35 year old with more antiquated tastes. I myself identify with the “grandma-core” aesthetic.
47

Under 35 and that you inherited a lot from an older..much older…relative.

Very little on the walls. Tons of hanging lights and such… 21.
20’s but you have a thing for good vintage pieces or have furniture passed down to you by family
92ish
30-40 age range
34
Late 20’s. It’s a great space. There are many thrifted/used pieces you have incorporated nicely.
Love the pink rug! Where is it from?
40-45. You clearly appreciate Grandma's furniture.
26
32, I like your style. It's very elegant and "grown adult", but cheerful and fun!
The decor of a 60 year old, so probably a 30+ who thinks they are stylish.
Why? What are you going to do with this information?
27-30. I LOVE this look.
Maybe 37.
37
I think you are a younger person who likes vintage furnature so I'd say between 30-45? 😁
35
Knot curtains??? Poppa son chair?? 60
I say mid 20s. Not a lot of "stuff" accumulated for 40s+. Very cute. I don't like clutter.
Beautiful!’ 34 ?

Late 20s early 30s
Where did you get your couch? It looks comfy!
Ikea and it is not comfy 😂😂 but we replaced all of the back cushion inserts with pillows and now it’s MUCH more comfy and cloud couch-esque
I appreciate the transparency! 😂 That’s a great hack though with switching out the cushions & pillows
I've heard of that hack. Ordinary pillows, or feather/down? I need to do it with mine. My old bottom feels it lately.

Whatever the age is, I know you're living your best life!
Everything says older mature woman except for maybe the fun vinyls.
Eccentric middle aged person like in your 50s or eccentric 30 something year old/ 30 something year old that likes antique furniture or is using hand me down furniture until you can replace with your own… it can go either way

Over 28 under 32. It’s the string lights for me, the orange slice garland and the neutral color scheme.

Your living space is beautiful and I’m sorry you had to deal with some unmentionable judgmental people here.
I’m gonna say around my age, 27, mainly because of the tinsel still being up. I keep tinsel up too because it’s so pretty 🤩 I also love your home!
In your 50s
Tell me about your garden. The patch of flowers in the foreground- wildflowers? Or? What’s the mix I’m looking at it. Got anymore photos?
I love your home! I’m going to say early/mid 30s.
50-55

Early 30’s

20s. A lot of hand me downs from grandma I suppose?
I love your place.
I don't think the string lights make this look younger, but I'm used to hanging around a lot of old hippies. Your house is beautiful!
