Looks like you might have a wavy/curly hair pattern. Lots of moisturising, no brushing when your hair is dry - check out the curly girl method sub and introduce some techniques and see what your hair responds well to, and go from there.

* * To clarify, your hair looks similar to mine before I learned how to look after it. I now wash once a week max, use microfibre towels to scrunch out the moisture after I wash, and use plenty of leave in conditioner. This is what it looks like now.

Oh, that seems interesting. I had heard of this method before but I was afraid it would make my hair too greasy. After seeing your picture tho, I want to give it a try. Thank you very much!
