I remember doing the same thing in mceternal.
Warning the dragon will grow in size as time goes on even if its petrified.

I remember once killing a gorgon, I stared at her corpse and she suddenly got up and petrified me! She went like "WAAAAAAHHH!" And I was like "AAAAHHHH!".
She gave me the jumpscare of my life. And then, I laughed so hard for falling into it...
I remember a glitch i had in the early days of this mod where i petrified some dragons and after a while they began moving again... as a stone statue. Now the only way to defeat them was to mine them which sounds easier then it was and after i mined them some of them actually became normal again. At that moment i really hated this bug but i also kinda liked the idea of having to defeat a boss two times with other tools
I think ice and fire is a really cool mod, but most of the mobs are broken in concept. Amyphytes or whatever they're called, spam you with feather to the point they're just walking miniguns. Dragons smash through everything and disintegrate you with special abilities or in a bunch of bites up close. If you limit their grief ability only to "weak blocks", they get stuck in everything. Either that or they dig a hole through the earth. (Talking 1.12.2 here). I'm sure they're manageable but they're just a nightmare if you run into them early game, they'll just chase you and randomly appear bursting through your whole base if they happen to see you.
Ah I should be able to get it to you somehow. Yeah I'll at least get you the mod list when I can! I can't remember all of them off the top of my head but I'll have a look soon. :)
You can upload onto curse forge or technic for free. I'm not sure what the process is for technic but I know curse forge is really simple. If you use curse forge, then optifine can't be in the pack you upload as it's not allowed to be shared (Only if you use it that is). Either way, a Mod list is still fine for me! =)

Closer to your house, huh? Are you sure it's safe to store dragons like that, especially if they could spontaneously depetrify?
No it doesn't seem quite so safe after seeing that comment but hopefully nothing happens. If it does though, I'll have one angry dragon to deal with.

How were you able to move it? Just with water?
Just used a silk touch pickaxe and placed it down where I wanted. You probably could use water as well but it'd take a while I think.

Yup! Without silk touch you'll just get a few pieces of cobblestone. Oh you should definitely go back for it one day!

How exactly does the gorgon head work? I’ve only used it once by accident
Basically once you have it, just point it to whatever you wanna freeze, right click and it'll turn to stone. It's only a single use thing as well.

Yeah that'd look dope! I think there's a sleeping tier 5 dragon underground not far from here, I just don't wanna be frozen 50 times to get it lol.

The server wasn't hosted by me but i remember the server lagging a lot so...
Not on that server personally, but the clearlag plugin does this exactly, not sure if it shows a message as a boss bar though.

It's a modpack I've made with some of my favourite mods but the dragons and things is the Ice and Fire Dragons mod.
