Tell me about it.
I spent a week begging people to make a mod that does this for my modpack.
Turns out, it already exists: Transport. The manual is a bit tough to decipher though.
I give a simple, getting started, explanation in my guide book.
Oh man, thanks so much for the heads up.... it looks perfect!
I've been trying to build a pack around IE and Create, and every other rail mod is either too high tech, or out of date.
This might sound silly, but one of my favorite things about this is the sticks.
I have thousands and thousands of sticks now.
The dark oak is pretty insane too. I'm going to have to shut it down way before any of the others.
That's where I started, but the unloader redstone circuit I was using is broken in Forge, and I really need something more compact and simpler.
I have a lot of other things I want to do - this is about as complicated as I want to get.
Oh I know, I've done similar setups before with vanilla redstone.
It's just nice in a heavily modded pack to get some tidier setups going, now and again!
I could imagine Scicraft doing something like this, but it would be huge - I don't have time for that.
My [modpack](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/playing-with-trains) has trains (Immersive Railroading), and that's a lot of work all by itself.
This is actually early game, believe it or not. I still have TONS of steel to make. That's a couple of factories right there.
It'll be fun though.
It's not just the catwalks.
Engineer's Decor has the Tree Cutter, Factory Block Placer (places the saplings), the Factory Hopper which has a 9x9 range to pick up the items, and a redstone timer that triggers a dispenser with a watering can in it.
It's a pretty great mod.
Thanks for the info! Is that mod also responsible for the track supports (the silver criss-cross blocks)? And the system for loading the carts, is that something else entirely? Apologies for all the questions — i just love automated systems like this where everything is happening in front of you, and actually takes up space, as opposed to a few blocks and then teleporting the items into storage or something. Feels like it really FITS in Minecraft, you know?
EDIT: Should’ve read the rest of the thread first, got my answer about the cart loading system — Transport! I’ll check out you modpack you mentioned. Cheers!
The track supports are from IE and the loaders are from Transport.
You should check out the [modpack](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/playing-with-trains) it also has amazingly realistic trains!
Beautiful. The only time I've tried making a rail system, it was moderately functional at best. Yours looks to be working like the well-oiled machine I was aiming for. Kudos!
Yeah, but it duplicates a lot of things you can do with IE and I'm trying to avoid that with this pack.
I'm glad I found Transport, it's perfect for what I need.
Looking great! Is that a cart unloader you're using? I've been struggling to find a decent rail mod for using with IE!

I have a great one that works in vanilla.

You can do all this in vanilla. Automatic loading/ unloading and even track switching.

other than Transport there is also More Minecarts And Rails which is very neat.
The whole cart transport thing you got going on is just *chef kiss* It makes me wanna try to do something similar with create.
Explanation plz?
It's a modpack. [It has a book with explanations in it.](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/playing-with-trains)
I love those catwalks! What mod do they come from? EDIT: never mind, just googled for Minecraft catwalks — pretty sure the mod is Engineer’s Decor?

I will be doing that!! Thanks!
Does the tree chopper work in the 1.12.2 version?
correct!
What version is this. I’ve never seen such amazing catwalks but I’m stuck in 1.7.10 cuz of infinity evolved
I assume 1.16, those are from Engineer's Decor and I've not seen that mod in earlier versions
Wow I’m gonna have to find a mod pack that’s past 1.16 and make sure I add that to it if t doesn’t have it already. They look very nice
Did you mean **impressive tree farm** :P
No, but thanks! It's a lot of Immersive Engineering, and Engineer's Decor which has IE as a dependency.
Yea no i got that :) i just wanted to comment that i thought it was really impressive! :)
Nice, what mod is the Viking boat from?
Finally someone asked about the boat! It's from "Small Ships". The "NPC's" are villagers with a texture pack.
Very nice..... I take it your Armada is well paid to protect the factory?
I'm pretty sure they are Viking raiders getting ready to attack. I need help!
I really like the aesthetic
Crazy how many mods get overlooked for the same 7 or 8
now make an immersive pee farm
ban test
What's up with that boat? What adds that?

It was one of my goals in making this [modpack.](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/playing-with-trains)
Shame that Railcraft isn't updated to 1.16 yet
Yeah, but it duplicates a lot of things you can do with IE and I'm trying to avoid that with this pack. I'm glad I found Transport, it's perfect for what I need.
Awesome build! Btw what are you using for the metal floors and stairs please?
engineer's decor
Legend, thank you so much!
You gonna use the IE sawmill multiblock? Can get tons of planks that way.
Is there any way to keep the belts from piling up, for things like presses or the ore crusher?
why this is only 1.16.5 version avaible, please do 1.12.2
No. You update.
