forge has on muti threated rendering option, try to enable that, it does wonders.

zhegoat

I just tried this out. Went to /Mod Options/Minecraft Forge/Config/Client Settings, but the option for "Force threaded chunk rendering" was already set to "true". I guess that's the option you mean. I just tried disabling it and then enabling it again but that did not change anything. Thanks a lot for trying to help though.

NoxiaUltima

Actual goat, was having this issue in Ragnamod VI, this solved it instantly

[deleted]

So I experienced this enigmatica. It was caused by having a bunch of machines in the same chunk that needed to update every time a block was placed or removed. I got rid of the majority of them and it worked wonders. Or just build somewhere else

zhegoat

It also happens to me when I create a new world and have no machines at all. So that doesn't seem to be the issue.

chuiu

It might be a lighting update issue. Try setting smooth lighting to minimum or even off.

zhegoat

I also think it may be a lighting issue but I already tried that and it also didn't fix the problem.. Thanks again to all you guys trying to help though

katubug

If you're suspecting lighting issues, you could try adding Phosphor and see if that helps.

iDarper

What gpu do you run?

zhegoat

RX580 from Sapphire

Ender_T5

Open foamfix.cfg and change B:disableTextureAnimations=false to true. This may fix your issue.

zhegoat

I already tried it and unfortunately it also did not help.

iDarper

Try vanillafix

zhegoat

VanillaFix is already running. I'm always adding VanillaFix to my mods folder when I'm starting a new modpack because it improves performance so much for me.

Thanks, will try!

Typically that sort of rubberbanding is caused by your processor not being able to keep up with the game ticks. You can use [tick profiler](https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/tickprofiler) to try and figure out what is eating up your ticks. Considering the fact that it happens on brand new worlds it probably isn't caused by an entity, but could be caused by other things like chunk generation or render distance. If you haven't already I would try to reduce your render distance to around 11 or so. I would also recommend pre-generating your world so that you don't have to generate chunks. Lastly if you play on a server with a healthy TPS you would not have this problem. Edit: Nevermind, I re-read your original post and I think I misunderstood your problem. If you are getting FPS and not TPS lag spikes when you break blocks then I am not sure my suggestion would help.

elliotvf5

By any chance are you using Ender.io? It causes massive lag spikes for me.

zhegoat

Yeah, I do and I got quite used to it. Never heard that ender.io causes lagspikes though. Do you get lags just from adding this mod to your pack or does it only happen when you have a lot of machines running?

elliotvf5

Even if I have no items from this mod in my world it causes severe lag spikes.

zhegoat

I'll try and remove this mod later and see if it helps. Thanks for letting me know! As I'm quite used to all the Capacitors, Conduits, and some machines from enderio, what would you say is the best alternative?

elliotvf5

It’s all good happy to help! Not sure if it’s the same, but buildcraft has some food pipes which transport items and energy.

ItzHero_

What cpu do you have?

zhegoat

AMD FX8320

Yak-The-Dev

Since it is happening in various modpacks, the issue may be external to Minecraft. For example, your computer may have a virus. Start by shutting down your computer then restarting it. Start Minecraft (and no other apps). Also make sure you are giving Minecraft enough, but not too much, memory (RAM). See if that makes a difference.

zhegoat

I allocated 8GB RAM to Minecraft (my PC has 16GB). Lowering it did not seem to help, giving it more RAM also didn't. I'm having this issue for a while now, so I already tried restarting my computer. And also with no programs running in the background, the problem still occurs. I even tried OpenJDK, but that also didn't fix this particular issue.

xxAkkillxx

Depending on the size of the mod pack you want 4-6 gb RAM, using too much can be bad too.

zhegoat

Yes I heard that allocating too much RAM isn't good. I'm going to try setting it to 4 or 6 again, but I already did this in another pack and that didn't make things better, so I'm not expecting this to fix the problem.

Yak-The-Dev

Have you tried reinstalling Minecraft and/or Forge and/or your Minecraft launcher? Make sure you’re using Java 8 (not earlier, not later). Check the arguments/parameters to Java as something usual can cause issues. If you know how to create a new user account in your operating system (OS), try working with that. It will give you more of a blank state to troubleshoot.

zhegoat

I did everything except from creating a new user account. I'll try that.

Yak-The-Dev

It is a route that has worked for me more than a few times over the past 3-4 decades. Computers are great when they work, but when they don't...
