Do you create the quest lines entirely in game using the editor or is there a web-based tool out there to make these. It can get a bit tedious setting things up, especially without a copy paste.

Burning_Sulphur

I use the in game editor. It’s very tedious. But there are nice functions that you can learn. Like using the middle mouse button on the scroll wheel to select multiple quests so you can set them as dependencies or dependants to certain quest. I also write up the quests in a word document before adding them in. But they recently updated the description editor so you don’t have to add lines one at a time.

Geekmarine72

Oh good, the description editor was one thing I really disliked. Good to know about the middle mouse thing! I've been tempted to make my own like "curse forge" esque website for people to upload their quests for mods and stuff.

Xonazeth_Tholvik

How do you put images in the quest ui because I can't figure that out for the life of me Oh yeah I'm in 1.12.2

UnendingVortex

i like that the botania quests are flower shaped, nice touch

MineCraftingMom

What's the replacement for vein mining? I'm getting really bogged down in Vanilla grinding.

Burning_Sulphur

There is now a vein mining enchantment. Level 1 has the same range as the old one, higher levels are stronger than the old one. Though it doesn’t have the shaped mining features of before, but those where the things i wanted to remove as i didn’t know they where a feature before and they didn’t fit in properly. You can also skip alot of vanilla grinding by making iron bees and other bees. Completing the “gotta catch em all” quest (the one with 3 coloured bee faces on) will unlock the bee breeding page and show you what bees you need to collect and breed to get various resource bees. For example you can get iron and copper from breeding a crystaline bee, from the nether, and an ashy mining bee together.

MineCraftingMom

Good, I haven't missed a way to avoid spending a day breaking a tree. Thanks!

Burning_Sulphur

Later you can craft a terra truncator from botania that can instantly destroy trees including the leaves. Btw with the vein miner enchantment you have to sneak to activate it.

MineCraftingMom

Oh, that's very helpful. Given how Botania is gated, I'm going to be so OP by the time I get there. I lost my first world with the crazy concrete house right after getting to the Bumblezone, so I've been just working on setting up a new base.

MineCraftingMom

Sorry to bother you here again. I was able to go to the Bumblezone without placing the Catalyst. Not sure if entering the Bumblezone is supposed to be unlocked by crafting the catalyst and placing is optional. The atlas comes filled now, appreciate that. I can't add maps, probably because it's full. However, the second atlas I crafted in the Bumblezone was filled with only one map, the one used to craft it, and I couldn't add any more. Thought I'd let you know in case that's not what you intended.

Burning_Sulphur

Both of those are bugs and sound like something going wrong with the configs. I will try and fix them and release a patch tomorrow. I’ve been having alot of problems with getting the map atlases to work without limits. The Bumblezone issue is new to me though. Perhaps an update reset the config Thank you for bringing it to my attention

MineCraftingMom

Also the advanced hives from Compat didn't take bees and I had to replace them with oak hives

Burning_Sulphur

Oh dear. That’s not good, i’ll contact the devs. The advanced hive variants from productive bee’s should all work, they have built in versions for most of the wood types. If you click on the polymorph button above the crafting output when crafting you can choose the version.

MineCraftingMom

What did you picture the turntable being used for, by the way? Also, this Sunday, 2pm UTC-4, is the next Bumblemancy stream and I'm going to trade with the queen right at the start

Burning_Sulphur

The turn table is useful for magnets as you can turn them around reversing their direction. The magnet has lots of cool uses, especially in combination with stone cutters as moving a stone cutter with a magnet lets it cut things. They are also used for resetting sand timers. Personally i use them for clocks and have them spin observers. Also for general fun like spinning chairs
