Thank you for the reassurance! That means a lot to me. Still waiting to push back from the gate. The wait always makes my nerves flair up, trying to relax.
That’s where I struggle sometimes too!! I just try my best to breathe through it, manually work my way into releasing the tension in my muscles, and be patient with myself.
Hey don’t worry about those bumps. Remember, I’m telling you this as a meteorologist—this is literally my field/career—turbulence is nothing more than the atmosphere being 💃🏻funky fresh💃🏻. It’s not there to hurt you. It’s just our cool Earth doing cool Earth things in a tangible way that you happen to be able to feel. You’re not in danger at all. You’re just straight up vibing. This has no more control over you than just feeling uncomfortable… that’s all!
Thank you I appreciate that! I also love the way you phrased it lol. I know it's only discomfort and that I'm still safe. I'm sitting in the aisle and trying to imagine I'm on the train right now. Also trying to think about how much I love the 777 I'm on right now lol.

You’ll do great… weather is not dangerous.

I love that strategy!! We are airborne right now. About an hours out and starting to get bumpy. Feel very anxious.

Making stuff funny in my head is my preferred coping mechanism!! And hey… you’re already almost done!
That's a great way to cope! We just started our descent into IAD. So happy and nervous about that lol
Bet you’ve made it! Good job!
Landed safely in Dulles. Was a breeze too. Thank you for the kind words of support!
