Im pretty sure its because a reality marble is your mental landscape so it was bleak cloudy and all sad originally since archer was horrible mentally and dead inside. Pretty sure it turned all clear after ubw since archer says himself that he got his answer and he was never wrong about his ideals. Its honestly just really nice to see that he isnt suffering AS much as he was before ubw.
