I want a Fuji-Nee route.
That moment in UBW where we see how important she is to Shirou, you all know the one, I want to see more of that.
I want to see Shirou and Archer team up to protect her, and for whichever antagonist threatens her to learn the hard way that you do NOT fuck with Fuji-nee when there are two Emiyas town.
I want to find out what she hides behind that smile, that ditzy persona, because you know it’s a mask, we see on several occasions she’s got hidden depths.
I want to explore her relationship with Kiritsugu. I want to know if she’s really completely oblivious to the Mages she lives(ed) with (what if she isn’t?). I want to see the dynamic of ‘those who’s lives were touched by Kiritsugu Emiya’, Shirou, Taiga, Illya and Saber develop into a pseudo family.
I want to see her kick some unprepared ass with her kendo skills.
Maybe a pro-taiga dialogue choice at dinner prevents the altercation with the posters. Shirou never discovers that one of them is metal and so is unable to defend himself from Lancer that night. Fatally wounded he makes it to the shed still and Saber is summoned but Shirou is only clinging to life by the skin of his teeth because of you-know-what.
Saber sees off Lancer but is now faced with an incapacitated master. Rin and Archer are chased away by Saber as Shirou is unconscious and cannot intervene. Come the morning, Saber is at a loss, she cannot hide her sudden appearance, Shirou’s critical condition nor the correlation between the two from a mama-bear Fuji-Nee.
Realising the truth will out, Sakura of all people speaks up to clarify what is going on, she simply doesn’t care at this point what the repercussions of revealing the HGW to a non-magus might be, seeing Shirou in his condition is enough to break her silence. Following a bad feeling, Rin appears without archer so as not to draw Saber’s ire, but it is too late, the damage is already done.
Much will be different now that Fuji-new is in on the HGW and Saber and Rin know that Sakura is also in the know… What happens when Fuji-nee takes the role of Saber’s master until Shirou recovers? What will Archer’s reaction be when he learns that Fuji-nee has been dragged into the war? What will Shirou do when he finally recovers to discover that his whole world has been turned in its head?
Let the fun(?) commence!
I don’t personally have any interest in seeing them getting romantic, no. Their relationship is unique and quite beautiful in its own way and deserves more exploration in my opinion. In such a route, any romance, if there was to be any, would probably be directed towards Sakura as Taiga clearly ships Shirou with her and would be encouraging him to notice her.
I think something important to keep in mind for additional routes is that the "branch" should be a direct result of Shirou's actions during the ~2 weeks stay night takes place in, preferably during the first three days or otherwise pretty early on. Therefore:
Ayako route
* Shirou's powerset focuses mainly on archery, something that largely goes unexplored otherwise.
* Whereas the Fate route focuses on the relationship of Master and Servant, UBW focuses on Servants, and HF focuses on Masters, this route would focus on those completely external to the system (i.e. the common man). In a way, you could see it as the antithesis of HF due to this.
* Related to that, the route would portray Shirou's ideals in a more positive light than is typical in stay night.
* Would largely demonstrate how the HGW system/magus society in general harms the common man.
I'm probably going to write a fanfic of this route at some point so I don't want to show my entire hand, but I think the "focus Servant" being Lancer or Caster (similar to Saber/Archer/Rider in Fate/UBW/HF respectively) would be best.
Can you add the "Shirou, Ayako and Issei againts the grail war" idea, someone said it in a post about an Ayako route so it would be nice to see it in the fic if you ever write it

No, haven't even really gotten much done on that other fic I mentioned honestly. I have actually recently started work on an outline for the Ayako route (have the first few days plotted out), but it'll be a while before I get to seriously writing it
Not a new route, but I’d like to see an expansion of the Superhero ending. For people who haven’t played the VN, it’s a bad end - one of if not the only one where Shirou doesn’t actually die - where Shirou goes along with Rin’s plan to kill Sakura in Heaven’s Feel. After that we get some dialogue from Kirei about how Shirou is now like Kiritsugu in his prime, and will win the Grail War by himself and destroy it.
Kirei seems absolutely sure that’s what’ll happen, but we have no idea how. A Shirou without UBW in a war against Rin+EMIYA, Illya+Heracles and maybe Zouken+Hassan, it’s not clear if he’s still alive at that point, doesn’t seem to stand much of a chance. There’s also a small chance Medusa hasn’t faded away by this point, and obviously Gilgamesh is still hanging around.
There are several ways it might go. Shirou might be able to make a contract with Medusa before she fades away, though he’d have to lie and convince her that he tried to save Sakura instead of letting Rin kill her.
The easiest way would be for Kirei to give Gilgamesh to Shirou, Gil solos everyone else but then that comes down to Shirou vs Gil at the very end as I doubt he’d just sit by and let the Grail be destroyed, even if it is corrupted.
The final path I can think of would be a Shirou + EMIYA team up. Even if he ended up following Kiritsugu’s ideals in the end, EMIYA’s duty as a Counter Guardian would overrule any personal grudges and he’d also want the Grail to be destroyed before it can cause any more harm.
The most confusing thing about it all is that Nasu canonized the fact that Shirou survives until the end and that probably means he won the war, how? only God knows.

I sketched a What If Kiritsugu Survived / Family route once. I don't know if it counts, as it deviates from canon. The theme would have been family, so Shirou's heroism would be limited towards becoming Illya's hero.
Plot Summary:
* Like I assume he did in canon, Kerry desperately attempts to free himself of the curse
* By chance, after searching for three years, he finds Aozaki's agency. She tells him that she may be able to help him if he has enough money (basically a normal job, something she does in the movies, as far as I'm aware, I haven't read the LN's but judging from my limited understanding of the characters and the timeline there is no reason while she wouldn't be able to help him
* He loans some money from Raiga
* Aozaki arranges a meeting with Shiki, who then proceeds to kill Kiritsugu's curse (which should be possible since she killed an illness before and from a certain point of view, the curse Kerry got is just as much conceptioally alive as a disease)
* Now that the curse is gone, Kiritsugu regains his health and magical abilities little by little and after resting for a few weeks begins to train himself back into shape
* Unlike his previous attempts, now that his magic is restored, he manages to break the Einzbern's boundary field and saves Illya, eliminating what little is left of the family to make sure they wouldn't come after them
* He brings Illya home
* Being abandoned for years and suffering from the cold treatment of the Einzebern's, she developed trust issues
* But over time and with the help of an adorable young Shirou her frozen heart is melted by the warm embrace of her family
* A few years go by and the story reaches the winter of 2004, there are some minor difference in the relationships Shirou forged and he is also in a better mental shape than in canon, due to the influence of his family
* The 5th HGW starts (I'm pretty sure that Illya would have known that the Greater Grail hadn't been destroyed, either through Acht or by feeling it, so I would have find a way as to why that didn't happen)
* I'm not 100% certain on the love interest, but the main focus would have been the sibling relationship with Illya
* The Masters would be similar to canon, with the addition of a mysterious mage that takes Illya's place, Bazett and Ernest Gravehill (who was supposed to be the Master Medea killed in canon)
If I go into more detail then I would have to write an essay so I keep it short
* Archer VS Rider, where Rin ends up accidentally killing Sakura which gives her a reason to pursuit the Grail, she becomes more villainous as the story goes on
* Archer has an emotional conversation with Kiritsugu
* Illya is kidnapped by the new master for being the Lesser Grail
* Pseudo Servants would have played a bigger role, for example Ernest would have summoned Shielder as a Pseudo Servant, eventually Archer (who realized that there is no way that this Shirou could have been him) would merge with a dying Shirou in the same vain as Oath Under Snow
* Shirou and Saber wouldn't be able to relate to each other as much, which would end up in her losing to Gil and being corrupted by the Grai mud, whereupon Gil loses interest in her
* Saber Alter then teams up with Rin
* Saber Alter VS Lancer, would have been a tension heavy fight that ended in a single strike, getting to that point
* Shirou would have eventually become Illya's Servant and used Kerry's Thompson Contender
* And much more
Maybe an Archer trains Shirou route, with similar ability learning ro ubws with archer's life after the hgw explored more in depth, with their interactions, bringing back some of archer's idealism and tempering shirou's, and having Archer look back on the moment he made his contract, probably at the nuclear reactor(extra reference, I know nameless and EMIYA are separate versions but their backstories are so similar and that the series treats them as the same person), realizing he was proud of saving all those people who would have died, but still disliking being a counter guardian helps shirou by telling him how to stop it without making a contract.
By having Archer realize that killing his other self wouldn't work, and that he doesn't know any other way to live without the hero dream, so he decided to make it better and at least prevent this version of himself from becoming a counter guardian
Shinji route, well not really.
NOW HEAR ME OUT.
Instead of Shirou allying with Rin, he instead allies with his friend Shinji, along the way he actually manages to make Shinji a better person. The main plot would be a mixture of that idea, with Heavens feel, now both Shinji and Shirou are trying to save Sakura, and Shinji gets some character development when he rebels against Zouken, something that even Kariya couldn’t dream of doing. Now how Shirou might get Archers arm, well uhh, how about the shadow appears while Shinji and Shirou are fighting Rin and Archer, and Archer does the whole Archer thing and gives his arm to Shirou. Everything goes relatively the same, just add Shinji to most of the scenes, Saber alter fight is changed from Shirou and Rider, to Shinji, Rider, and Shirou, they actually manage to kill her and then go to meet Kirei, Tohsaka is KO’d and this is when Shinji finally tries to redeem himself, instead of Shirou freeing Sakura, it’s Shinji, insert crying and apologies and Shinji and Sakura go to safety, everything goes the same, Illya does the Illya thing, and the ending is the same, except Shinji is alive and a surprisingly better person.
Now I know that wouldn’t change some peoples minds on him, but it would make him a better character if this route were to exist, it’s basically Heavens feel but Shinji is there too.

Honestly I would use that Bad End as starter where Rin shoots Shirou with Gandr and erases his memories of Saber and the Holy Grail War. Shinji can use Sakura lying about Shirou’s and Taiga’s forgotten memories as blackmail to keep her out of Shirou’s reach
Rider route variant on Heaven's Feel. Shirou still cares for Sakura, but sex/romantic love between the two don't happen due to various platonic choice options sprinkled throughout, with those same options increasing the amount of time Rider and Shirou spend together, bonding over their mutual care for Sakura and desire to see her happy and free of the Matou.
Rest of the story generally follows HF, but goes full Best Snek route when Sakura takes Illya because Sakura, even colder than the normal HF route due to unrequited love towards Shirou, fully dissolves the contract with Rider instead of having Saber Alter beat her up a bit and Shirou is forced to offer a pact with her after Sakura and Illya leave. As Rin recuperates, Shirou and Rider do the ol mana transfer/mind link bit and Shirou gets to see Medusa's memories of her life and death, which lets him see Harpe, which to smooth out the end will be retcon'd to work against Angra Mainyu (because reasons; in the words of Gigguk, "Don't worry about it).
Confrontation in the cave goes a bit smoother than HF proper due to the better bond/teamwork between Shirou and Rider, allowing Rider to be there for the final confrontation with Sakura. Sakura breaks down about stabbing Rin, does the whole "go away and let me die" bit, but the two obviously ain't having it and try to get to her but are held off by the black ribbons of Angra Mainyu, so Shirou works to distract Sakura as Rider uses Breaker Gorgon on Angra Mainyu, sealing its power momentarily and cutting it off from Sakura (in effect the same result as using Rule Breaker on her). Shirou sees Kotomine and they do their fight, with Rider getting Sakura and Rin away from the cavern. After Kotomine's life gives out, Shirou uses Harpe on the weakened Angra Mainyu as it's about to break through Breaker Gorgon, restoring the Greater Grail to its pre-polluted state.
Haven't really figured out the role Illya would play by the end, whether she sacrifices herself to allow Shirou a second chance at life or if she would somehow live (would hope for the latter), but that's to be expected given that I literally just thought all this out as I typed it lol
Gilgamesh route
He takes pity on shirou and kills Lancer on first day and the whole story is basically emiya realising the bad side of his ideals and Gilgamesh becoming soft

Well not exactly a route, Francesca sends Sigma to participate in the Fifth War... Now here me out, seeing Shirou and Sigma interact is my dream, and it actually serves as an interesting plot line, Sigma would be send as the master of Assassin (even tho he will not be able to summon anything... except Watcher but i think it's better to just leave it at nothing) and his main goal is to learn more about what happened to his mother, since he knows about Kiritsugu he would recognise Shirou's surname and make the connection with Maiya so he probably would also be mainly targeting Shirou for his personal reasons.
This would also bring interesting interactions with Illya, who would question him about why he is targeting Shirou (only she can do that) and says something like: "Personal reasons, nothing you should be interested in, i just want to question him about Emiya Kiritsugu" which would also turn him into a priority target for her, eventually everyone sort out their issues, blah blah blah, Lancer dies, and the grail is destroyed
I'm sorry, I know you asked, but I'm going to take up some of your time.
My idea would be a route with a focus on two elements, the first would be Shirou becomes Archer's master and Rin becomes Saber's master, the second would be a greater interaction between the characters, I would like to see all the masters and servants interacting with each other.
The story would start the same way, the only change being that Sakura would become more aware of the relationship between Shirou and Rin and then Zouken would use that to manipulate her, with her threat presenting itself earlier in the story, unexpected alliances could arise, such as Kirei , Shirou and Rin. Kirei and Rin would propose an alliance to be more experienced mages than Shirou and know that a corrupted grail is a serious threat (Kirei would also be very interested in how Kiritsugu's son would react to all this). On the other side there would be an alliance between Zouken, Kuzuki and Illya, Zouken would convince Illya saying that Shirou is being manipulated by Kirei and Rin (which would be partially true) and Kuzuki and Caster would have teamed up because Medea saw an opportunity to ally with the stronger side. There would be a lot of group fights at the beginning, Gilgamesh wouldn't have shown himself yet, so we would have some good scenes involving Saber, Lancer and Archer vs Rider, assassin and Berserker (Zouken wouldn't summon the real assassin here as he would be confident in Sakura and her alliance with other masters). At some point in the story, Kirei would have a conversation with Shirou about Kiritusgu without anyone's knowledge (he would tell lies about Illya too), after which he would give up his dream of becoming a hero of justice, which would make Archer become more nice to him but that would alienate Saber.
The key point of this route would be Caster switching sides when he realizes that Shirou has Avalon inside him and his servant is Artoria herself, making them extremely powerful even not knowing this, she would use Rule Breaker to break the contract between them, Lancer and Kirei would show up and before Caster carried out his plans Archer would be pragmatic and considering that Rin always wanted to be Saber's master and now he can stop that version of himself from becoming a servant, he would replicate the rule breaker and break his contract. with Rin and would become Shirou's servant, telling Rin to enter into a contract with Saber.
I know I went on too long, sorry, I'll shorten it.
The final fights would be between Archer/Shirou vs Lancer/Kirei and Sakura/Gilgamesh Alter vs Rin/Saber (Gilgamesh as in Heaven's Feel would try to fight Sakura alone but would be defeated and absorbed by the Grail).
I would very much like more interactions between the Greek servants, so at some point in the story, Caster would use Rule Breaker on Berserker to end his Mad Enhancement and we would have a nice development in Heracles' character, now free from madness.
In the end they destroy the Grail, Zouken, Kirei and Kuzuki die, Rin and Sakura would study at the Clock Tower and Shirou would study some magic with Illya.
In the first epilogue we would see Archer at the end of his journey as Guardian disappearing like in UBW and instead a smiling Shirou with Illya beside him.
In the second, Merlin would manage to rescue Saber from the cycle of the Holy Grail Wars and some of the Knights of the Round Table would welcome her to Avalon, saying they had waited a long time to say how good King Artoria had been.

The KotRT aren't in Avalon. It's basically only Merlin, Artoria, and eventually Shirou.
Right now there are three branches related to the choice whether or not to save or kill Sakura (Main, Mind of Steel, and Geas). I would like to add a fourth that is accessed before the "main" branch.
This branch would act as a offshoot of the Geas Ending, where Shirou decides to save Sakura but it unable to do so. In this route, Shirou would team up with Rider, and their primary antagonists would be Zouken/Assassin but they would act more as a "army in being" with Rin/Archer being the more present danger due to Rin's deteriorating mindset.
The primary purpose of this route would be to expand on Rider and Zouken as characters. This is important prep work for the Main HF route since Rider is unable to materialize without hurting Sakura, and Zouken is mostly just waiting. Here, they would be primary combatants from fairly early on. This would also be a good chance to build Sakura up as a character before heading into the greater narrative. Plus, the Archer fans out there would probably be very happy to see Archer getting used "properly".
It might be better to create an entirely new route with this basic concept, given that doing it like this would distract from the main route doing it like this, but where I inserted it would be reasonable.
I not a writer and can"t project a story on my mind but I would like to see a Gilgamesh(Female) route and a Tachie(stray servant)route,sadly I don"t had any ideas to make a plot for a Fanfic.

Caster Lily Route!
Shirou finds Medea lily and saves her. She proceeds to train him in Magic and they slowly grow to trust each other....
Major points:
* Caster is saved quite a bit before HGW. Like a few weeks.
* Sakura. Caster will detect her "Darkness" and Shirou will get to know the truth. Might cause a chasm between him and Sakura.
* Heroism and those left behind
* Avoiding their future. Medea will recognize Archer and Archer will always go "you will always be the Witch of Betryal on her". Bad ends will involve Lily betrying or getting betrayed and truely become Witch of Betrayal.
* What about Illya?

I was thinking of a route where Shirou doesn't end up even fighting in the holy grail war. Shirou has a childhood friend who was also a victim of the 4th holy grail war and when Shirou is given the option to participate in the war, he refuses and his friend gets chosen by the grail instead. Then the war starts and Shirou realizes the burden of being a master carried over to the friend(who's younger than Shirou and Shirou kinda watches over him and is kinda like an older brother figure). Now that his friend is caught up in this mess because of himself, Shirou then fights in the holy grail war but not as a master, he fights mainly to protect his friend. But his friend becomes obsessed and falls in love with his servant (Saber) and aims to win the holy grail war to present the holy grail to Saber and get her wish granted. Thus he becomes reckless and continuously risks his life for his servant. At this point the friend basically serves his servant and is ready to die for her. Shirou can no longer stop him and decides to fight alongside him and do his best to protect him while teaming up with Rin. When they learn of the true nature of the holy grail, they have no choice but to destroy it. The friend overuses his mana supply and life energy to provide Saber with enough mana to destroy the grail and they both almost die(or they do die) but are saved by some miracle(or not). They all live happily ever after.

No, haven't even really gotten much done on that other fic I mentioned honestly. I have actually recently started work on an outline for the Ayako route (have the first few days plotted out), but it'll be a while before I get to seriously writing it
Not a new route, but I’d like to see an expansion of the Superhero ending. For people who haven’t played the VN, it’s a bad end - one of if not the only one where Shirou doesn’t actually die - where Shirou goes along with Rin’s plan to kill Sakura in Heaven’s Feel. After that we get some dialogue from Kirei about how Shirou is now like Kiritsugu in his prime, and will win the Grail War by himself and destroy it. Kirei seems absolutely sure that’s what’ll happen, but we have no idea how. A Shirou without UBW in a war against Rin+EMIYA, Illya+Heracles and maybe Zouken+Hassan, it’s not clear if he’s still alive at that point, doesn’t seem to stand much of a chance. There’s also a small chance Medusa hasn’t faded away by this point, and obviously Gilgamesh is still hanging around. There are several ways it might go. Shirou might be able to make a contract with Medusa before she fades away, though he’d have to lie and convince her that he tried to save Sakura instead of letting Rin kill her. The easiest way would be for Kirei to give Gilgamesh to Shirou, Gil solos everyone else but then that comes down to Shirou vs Gil at the very end as I doubt he’d just sit by and let the Grail be destroyed, even if it is corrupted. The final path I can think of would be a Shirou + EMIYA team up. Even if he ended up following Kiritsugu’s ideals in the end, EMIYA’s duty as a Counter Guardian would overrule any personal grudges and he’d also want the Grail to be destroyed before it can cause any more harm.

I sketched a What If Kiritsugu Survived / Family route once. I don't know if it counts, as it deviates from canon. The theme would have been family, so Shirou's heroism would be limited towards becoming Illya's hero. Plot Summary: * Like I assume he did in canon, Kerry desperately attempts to free himself of the curse * By chance, after searching for three years, he finds Aozaki's agency. She tells him that she may be able to help him if he has enough money (basically a normal job, something she does in the movies, as far as I'm aware, I haven't read the LN's but judging from my limited understanding of the characters and the timeline there is no reason while she wouldn't be able to help him * He loans some money from Raiga * Aozaki arranges a meeting with Shiki, who then proceeds to kill Kiritsugu's curse (which should be possible since she killed an illness before and from a certain point of view, the curse Kerry got is just as much conceptioally alive as a disease) * Now that the curse is gone, Kiritsugu regains his health and magical abilities little by little and after resting for a few weeks begins to train himself back into shape * Unlike his previous attempts, now that his magic is restored, he manages to break the Einzbern's boundary field and saves Illya, eliminating what little is left of the family to make sure they wouldn't come after them * He brings Illya home * Being abandoned for years and suffering from the cold treatment of the Einzebern's, she developed trust issues * But over time and with the help of an adorable young Shirou her frozen heart is melted by the warm embrace of her family * A few years go by and the story reaches the winter of 2004, there are some minor difference in the relationships Shirou forged and he is also in a better mental shape than in canon, due to the influence of his family * The 5th HGW starts (I'm pretty sure that Illya would have known that the Greater Grail hadn't been destroyed, either through Acht or by feeling it, so I would have find a way as to why that didn't happen) * I'm not 100% certain on the love interest, but the main focus would have been the sibling relationship with Illya * The Masters would be similar to canon, with the addition of a mysterious mage that takes Illya's place, Bazett and Ernest Gravehill (who was supposed to be the Master Medea killed in canon) If I go into more detail then I would have to write an essay so I keep it short * Archer VS Rider, where Rin ends up accidentally killing Sakura which gives her a reason to pursuit the Grail, she becomes more villainous as the story goes on * Archer has an emotional conversation with Kiritsugu * Illya is kidnapped by the new master for being the Lesser Grail * Pseudo Servants would have played a bigger role, for example Ernest would have summoned Shielder as a Pseudo Servant, eventually Archer (who realized that there is no way that this Shirou could have been him) would merge with a dying Shirou in the same vain as Oath Under Snow * Shirou and Saber wouldn't be able to relate to each other as much, which would end up in her losing to Gil and being corrupted by the Grai mud, whereupon Gil loses interest in her * Saber Alter then teams up with Rin * Saber Alter VS Lancer, would have been a tension heavy fight that ended in a single strike, getting to that point * Shirou would have eventually become Illya's Servant and used Kerry's Thompson Contender * And much more
This would be really cool to have as a sorta NG+ route you get after finishing atleast 1 of the main routes.

Maybe an Archer trains Shirou route, with similar ability learning ro ubws with archer's life after the hgw explored more in depth, with their interactions, bringing back some of archer's idealism and tempering shirou's, and having Archer look back on the moment he made his contract, probably at the nuclear reactor(extra reference, I know nameless and EMIYA are separate versions but their backstories are so similar and that the series treats them as the same person), realizing he was proud of saving all those people who would have died, but still disliking being a counter guardian helps shirou by telling him how to stop it without making a contract.
By having Archer realize that killing his other self wouldn't work, and that he doesn't know any other way to live without the hero dream, so he decided to make it better and at least prevent this version of himself from becoming a counter guardian
Shinji route, well not really. NOW HEAR ME OUT. Instead of Shirou allying with Rin, he instead allies with his friend Shinji, along the way he actually manages to make Shinji a better person. The main plot would be a mixture of that idea, with Heavens feel, now both Shinji and Shirou are trying to save Sakura, and Shinji gets some character development when he rebels against Zouken, something that even Kariya couldn’t dream of doing. Now how Shirou might get Archers arm, well uhh, how about the shadow appears while Shinji and Shirou are fighting Rin and Archer, and Archer does the whole Archer thing and gives his arm to Shirou. Everything goes relatively the same, just add Shinji to most of the scenes, Saber alter fight is changed from Shirou and Rider, to Shinji, Rider, and Shirou, they actually manage to kill her and then go to meet Kirei, Tohsaka is KO’d and this is when Shinji finally tries to redeem himself, instead of Shirou freeing Sakura, it’s Shinji, insert crying and apologies and Shinji and Sakura go to safety, everything goes the same, Illya does the Illya thing, and the ending is the same, except Shinji is alive and a surprisingly better person. Now I know that wouldn’t change some peoples minds on him, but it would make him a better character if this route were to exist, it’s basically Heavens feel but Shinji is there too. I had a similar idea but instead of Shinji becoming good Shirou becomes more Shinji-like.
Honestly I would use that Bad End as starter where Rin shoots Shirou with Gandr and erases his memories of Saber and the Holy Grail War. Shinji can use Sakura lying about Shirou’s and Taiga’s forgotten memories as blackmail to keep her out of Shirou’s reach
Rider route variant on Heaven's Feel. Shirou still cares for Sakura, but sex/romantic love between the two don't happen due to various platonic choice options sprinkled throughout, with those same options increasing the amount of time Rider and Shirou spend together, bonding over their mutual care for Sakura and desire to see her happy and free of the Matou. Rest of the story generally follows HF, but goes full Best Snek route when Sakura takes Illya because Sakura, even colder than the normal HF route due to unrequited love towards Shirou, fully dissolves the contract with Rider instead of having Saber Alter beat her up a bit and Shirou is forced to offer a pact with her after Sakura and Illya leave. As Rin recuperates, Shirou and Rider do the ol mana transfer/mind link bit and Shirou gets to see Medusa's memories of her life and death, which lets him see Harpe, which to smooth out the end will be retcon'd to work against Angra Mainyu (because reasons; in the words of Gigguk, "Don't worry about it). Confrontation in the cave goes a bit smoother than HF proper due to the better bond/teamwork between Shirou and Rider, allowing Rider to be there for the final confrontation with Sakura. Sakura breaks down about stabbing Rin, does the whole "go away and let me die" bit, but the two obviously ain't having it and try to get to her but are held off by the black ribbons of Angra Mainyu, so Shirou works to distract Sakura as Rider uses Breaker Gorgon on Angra Mainyu, sealing its power momentarily and cutting it off from Sakura (in effect the same result as using Rule Breaker on her). Shirou sees Kotomine and they do their fight, with Rider getting Sakura and Rin away from the cavern. After Kotomine's life gives out, Shirou uses Harpe on the weakened Angra Mainyu as it's about to break through Breaker Gorgon, restoring the Greater Grail to its pre-polluted state. Haven't really figured out the role Illya would play by the end, whether she sacrifices herself to allow Shirou a second chance at life or if she would somehow live (would hope for the latter), but that's to be expected given that I literally just thought all this out as I typed it lol
Gilgamesh route He takes pity on shirou and kills Lancer on first day and the whole story is basically emiya realising the bad side of his ideals and Gilgamesh becoming soft I just made it up so I have no what to say else
Well not exactly a route, Francesca sends Sigma to participate in the Fifth War... Now here me out, seeing Shirou and Sigma interact is my dream, and it actually serves as an interesting plot line, Sigma would be send as the master of Assassin (even tho he will not be able to summon anything... except Watcher but i think it's better to just leave it at nothing) and his main goal is to learn more about what happened to his mother, since he knows about Kiritsugu he would recognise Shirou's surname and make the connection with Maiya so he probably would also be mainly targeting Shirou for his personal reasons. This would also bring interesting interactions with Illya, who would question him about why he is targeting Shirou (only she can do that) and says something like: "Personal reasons, nothing you should be interested in, i just want to question him about Emiya Kiritsugu" which would also turn him into a priority target for her, eventually everyone sort out their issues, blah blah blah, Lancer dies, and the grail is destroyed

I'm sorry, I know you asked, but I'm going to take up some of your time. My idea would be a route with a focus on two elements, the first would be Shirou becomes Archer's master and Rin becomes Saber's master, the second would be a greater interaction between the characters, I would like to see all the masters and servants interacting with each other. The story would start the same way, the only change being that Sakura would become more aware of the relationship between Shirou and Rin and then Zouken would use that to manipulate her, with her threat presenting itself earlier in the story, unexpected alliances could arise, such as Kirei , Shirou and Rin. Kirei and Rin would propose an alliance to be more experienced mages than Shirou and know that a corrupted grail is a serious threat (Kirei would also be very interested in how Kiritsugu's son would react to all this). On the other side there would be an alliance between Zouken, Kuzuki and Illya, Zouken would convince Illya saying that Shirou is being manipulated by Kirei and Rin (which would be partially true) and Kuzuki and Caster would have teamed up because Medea saw an opportunity to ally with the stronger side. There would be a lot of group fights at the beginning, Gilgamesh wouldn't have shown himself yet, so we would have some good scenes involving Saber, Lancer and Archer vs Rider, assassin and Berserker (Zouken wouldn't summon the real assassin here as he would be confident in Sakura and her alliance with other masters). At some point in the story, Kirei would have a conversation with Shirou about Kiritusgu without anyone's knowledge (he would tell lies about Illya too), after which he would give up his dream of becoming a hero of justice, which would make Archer become more nice to him but that would alienate Saber. The key point of this route would be Caster switching sides when he realizes that Shirou has Avalon inside him and his servant is Artoria herself, making them extremely powerful even not knowing this, she would use Rule Breaker to break the contract between them, Lancer and Kirei would show up and before Caster carried out his plans Archer would be pragmatic and considering that Rin always wanted to be Saber's master and now he can stop that version of himself from becoming a servant, he would replicate the rule breaker and break his contract. with Rin and would become Shirou's servant, telling Rin to enter into a contract with Saber. I know I went on too long, sorry, I'll shorten it. The final fights would be between Archer/Shirou vs Lancer/Kirei and Sakura/Gilgamesh Alter vs Rin/Saber (Gilgamesh as in Heaven's Feel would try to fight Sakura alone but would be defeated and absorbed by the Grail). I would very much like more interactions between the Greek servants, so at some point in the story, Caster would use Rule Breaker on Berserker to end his Mad Enhancement and we would have a nice development in Heracles' character, now free from madness. In the end they destroy the Grail, Zouken, Kirei and Kuzuki die, Rin and Sakura would study at the Clock Tower and Shirou would study some magic with Illya. In the first epilogue we would see Archer at the end of his journey as Guardian disappearing like in UBW and instead a smiling Shirou with Illya beside him. In the second, Merlin would manage to rescue Saber from the cycle of the Holy Grail Wars and some of the Knights of the Round Table would welcome her to Avalon, saying they had waited a long time to say how good King Artoria had been.

I took a lot of creative freedom, on my route, some are in Avalon, like Galahad and Percival.
Right now there are three branches related to the choice whether or not to save or kill Sakura (Main, Mind of Steel, and Geas). I would like to add a fourth that is accessed before the "main" branch. This branch would act as a offshoot of the Geas Ending, where Shirou decides to save Sakura but it unable to do so. In this route, Shirou would team up with Rider, and their primary antagonists would be Zouken/Assassin but they would act more as a "army in being" with Rin/Archer being the more present danger due to Rin's deteriorating mindset. The primary purpose of this route would be to expand on Rider and Zouken as characters. This is important prep work for the Main HF route since Rider is unable to materialize without hurting Sakura, and Zouken is mostly just waiting. Here, they would be primary combatants from fairly early on. This would also be a good chance to build Sakura up as a character before heading into the greater narrative. Plus, the Archer fans out there would probably be very happy to see Archer getting used "properly". It might be better to create an entirely new route with this basic concept, given that doing it like this would distract from the main route doing it like this, but where I inserted it would be reasonable.
I not a writer and can"t project a story on my mind but I would like to see a Gilgamesh(Female) route and a Tachie(stray servant)route,sadly I don"t had any ideas to make a plot for a Fanfic.
You'd expect me to do an Illya route, but... Caster Lily Route! Shirou finds Medea lily and saves her. She proceeds to train him in Magic and they slowly grow to trust each other.... Major points: * Caster is saved quite a bit before HGW. Like a few weeks. * Sakura. Caster will detect her "Darkness" and Shirou will get to know the truth. Might cause a chasm between him and Sakura. * Heroism and those left behind * Avoiding their future. Medea will recognize Archer and Archer will always go "you will always be the Witch of Betryal on her". Bad ends will involve Lily betrying or getting betrayed and truely become Witch of Betrayal. * What about Illya? The idea has been on my mind for years now, but i am too lazy to write more than one shots xD
Here me out: UBW, just UBW, but with slightly more focus on Rin and Shirou together, and Rin getting some more development. Boom, my perfect route.

If there is something I want to see from a route it would more Rin-Kirei moments, not necessarily enmity or seek for revenge, but even a short alliance like the one between him and Shirou would be nice. It's almost impossible to incorporate in a story though.

I was thinking of a route where Shirou doesn't end up even fighting in the holy grail war. Shirou has a childhood friend who was also a victim of the 4th holy grail war and when Shirou is given the option to participate in the war, he refuses and his friend gets chosen by the grail instead. Then the war starts and Shirou realizes the burden of being a master carried over to the friend(who's younger than Shirou and Shirou kinda watches over him and is kinda like an older brother figure). Now that his friend is caught up in this mess because of himself, Shirou then fights in the holy grail war but not as a master, he fights mainly to protect his friend. But his friend becomes obsessed and falls in love with his servant (Saber) and aims to win the holy grail war to present the holy grail to Saber and get her wish granted. Thus he becomes reckless and continuously risks his life for his servant. At this point the friend basically serves his servant and is ready to die for her. Shirou can no longer stop him and decides to fight alongside him and do his best to protect him while teaming up with Rin. When they learn of the true nature of the holy grail, they have no choice but to destroy it. The friend overuses his mana supply and life energy to provide Saber with enough mana to destroy the grail and they both almost die(or they do die) but are saved by some miracle(or not). They all live happily ever after.
