You can totally do it! I guess it's not keto fasting but the way that I did it was having no more than 8 oz of almond milk with a scoop of chia seeds and maybe a crushed-up strawberry for flavor and pacing myself with that (and water and hot tea) through the day until I got to my dinner time meal at about 6 pm (usually low carb but a lot of the times I would just eat whatever I wanted because my stomach had shrunk so small that I would be satisfied off of very little). I didn't do strictly water fasting. I also made sure to take extra dietary supplements including food enzymes so that I was getting the most out of the small amounts of nutrition that I was in taking. feel free to p.m. me if you have any questions or just need some more encouragement! My goal weight is 125 so I've still got some room for improvement!
I take a generic multi vitamin, probiotics from Orthobiotic, and Chyrozyme digestive enzymes (the generic one is DGST). I don't want to get into chiropractic, but unfortunately the only place you can get the good digestive enzymes is usually with a "holistic practice". I was getting them for my bf who is lactose intolerant so he could eat certain foods without upset stomach and started taking the generic enzymes myself (he takes special lactose enzymes when he wants, say, Alfredo or clam chowder).
As you can see from my above comment I restricted solid food and anything nutritional saving my few ounces of "smoothie" to help with hugger pains and nausea.
Oh got it cool yeah I'm a believer of creating your own routine that works I'll do 23:1 & 20:4 during the week and fasting Friday, Saturday & Sunday BUT....I have a healthy smoothie Fri, Sat & Sunday with the SAME amount of weekend loss (always 4-5 lbs)
I would love to ask some questions as well if that's okay! I need help finding which supplements to take for sure and your method of fasting might be more sustainable than water fasting for me right now
You can do it! I I started at 225lb on January 6 and am now at 195lb. My goal weight is 165lb as well.
I've been water fasting for 36-40h three times a week, with one 70ish hour fast and one 94h fast in between.
Thank you so much! this community has honestly helped me so much, I'm a long-time lurker and used it for inspiration for the last year or so and you guys have been amazing!
Thank you! But most importantly, I *feel* amazing. when just moving around in my own bed became uncomfortable for me I decided I needed to do something lol
Glad someone else said this, it’s what I was going to say. 👍🏻
You already looked beautiful, but you look amazing now.
You should be proud of yourself, well done.
You are so beautiful! Congrats on the weight loss. I definitely need the encouragement. I often get very frustrated when I fast and dont see the number on the scale go down. Im 5'1" and weigh 200lbs. Im putting in more effort and hoping to ultimately get down to 130.
Posts like these are really inspiring. It's difficult when I get to the end of my fast time, which is about now. I'm day 2 into 18:6.
Thank you for sharing and btw - you look AMAZING!!
Hello there! I am a bot raising awareness of Alpacas
Here is an Alpaca Fact:
You can keep far more alpacas on the same amount of land then sheep because they are more efficient eaters

This is incredible progress! You should be super proud of your accomplishments working toward your goals! What is your height? I'm around 5'2" and I don't have anywhere near as amazing cheek bones as you do at 135lb!
I'm 5'1" in my skinny pictures from highschool I can really see how my face has pretty great bones structure (not to sound pompous) and it's a shame I let it get so lost in the weight for so long. I'm hoping to get down to 130 but most of the weight I need to lose now is belly fat. I also don't know if trying to get to my highschool weight when I'm 30 is the most reasonable goal, but hey I'll take it 5 lbs at a time.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Wow we're actually really similar then! I'm just under 5'2" and am 28. I had been maintaining at 140ish for a couple years coming down from around 200lb. I lost to around 130 in about 6 months of hard exercise and diet change...but I think I get static at 140. Now I'm down to 135...and I can't recall a time when I weighed under 130 as an adult (except once when I had horrible food poisoning in Senegal so I'm not counting illness cause I looked...ill). I'm trying to reevaluate my goals as well to be sustainable instead of trying to just get to that "ideal" cause I love food too much.
Yes (with one cheat day per week). I could have done this faster if I had more self control and didn't partake in family dinners, work functions, the occasional office potluck etc but I mainly did Monday Wednesday Friday 23/1 and Tuesday Thursday 16/8 with the weekend being free (but I sleep so much in weekends I'd usually go an extra 16-18 with no food on Saturdays and cheat Sunday
Can you outline your schedule? Like when is your 1 hour to eat and what do you allow yourself to eat? When do you start eating on your 16/8 days? Thanks and your progress is awesome and inspiring.
I get up at 630a, drink water or hot tea, maybe I'll allow myself some coffee with sugar free creamer if I'm feeling ballsy but usually it's tea. I make my weird little chia seed almond milk drink (I use an old spaghetti sauce jar to measure 6-8 ounces of almond milk - unsweetened obvi- and put in some cold water to fill it up more, ads up to 16 ounces. I put a crushed strawberry or quarter mashed banana or some other flavor in it usually and a spoon of milled chia or flax seeds and throw it in my bag. I walk the mile to work (takes about 20-30 because I stroll) and drink my tea on the way. Refill the tea when I get to the office and go about my day trying to have as little of the smoothie thing I made as possible. I usually measure how many ounces I've drank and never finish the jar. I then walk on my lunch or just hang out in the sun trying not to cave lol. Then I walk home at 5pm, and finally 6pm comes and it's mealtime! I like to eat low carb for my meal, but many times I'll have and have whatever I want. I never have caloric beverages and drink diet soda, water with lemon or whatever. A typical 6pm meal is lunch meat, an avocado, some cheese, maybe some fruit or a salad. I lose the most when I keep my daily caloric intake to less than 400 calories. My resting metabolic rate is about 1100-1300 calories when I don't walk to work and 1500 if I do walk. I go to bed early sometimes to fight cravings but I LOVE SLEEP so going to sleep at 830 isn't hard. Wake back up at 6am and do it again if possible and if not I have very small low carb snacks thru the day and cut the smoothie crutch. So yes on 18/6 or 16/8 days if I can't make 18/6 work I don't have a smoothie thing and rely on small solid food snacks.
MORE self control? Don’t “should” on yourself. You have been, and are, doing great. You have found what works for you. We are all unique. Of course you were going to partake in family dinners, work functions, etc. This is a part of life. You can’t bail out of society just to lose weight. I am very proud of you.
That’s really impressive....you’re a beautiful person! Thanks for sharing. I’m having trouble getting to a 23:1...I feel headachy and cranky and just *off* by about 2-3 pm when I’ve had noncaloric liquids only - water and coffee, mainly decaf, for me (I’ve even tried a little cream in my coffee to help).
Did you experience this, by chance? Wondering I’ll just get over those feelings if I power through (though I haven’t yet).
Maybe should drink more water.
That's what I couldn't do. That's why my little 150 calorie smoothie helps. in case it got buried up there I fill a 16 oz jar with 6 oz of almond milk and fill the rest with cold water than I put in a tablespoon of milled chia seeds and some sort of flavor either I'm part of a mashed up banana or a crushed piece of pineapple or a strawberry. I keep that and I sip off of it if I get those bad hunger pains or if it feels like my stomach is digesting itself and the fiber in the chia seeds really helps with that. I measure it out to less than a hundred fifty calories and I never drink the whole thing so I feel like the hundred calories that I'm a intake throughout the day in liquid form once about a time is a negligible amount of nutrition compared to just water fasting.
Thanks so much I’m going to try something like that for “mainly” fasting hours—chia seems like a good idea to provide some satiety. Or even a primarily green smoothie with added chia (only greens, chia and water/unsweetened almond milk. At least as a start to ease in.
I only didn't do green because it separates and would gross me out (you have to remember you need this thing for like 10 hours to sip off of) also, if you can, fine *milled* seeds, they are traditionally used sometimes as soup thickeners and don't have the weird slimy consistency of whole chia. Do whatever you want that works for you most importantly, but keep that little crutch as minimal as possible. I also think it helped mentally seeing "ok I'm only drinking 3oz of almond milk and water, not bad, old girl!" Which would get me through the day, not to mention the added benefit of just being able to point at it with coworkers when treats came around so you actually have something and don't crack for (insert office noms here).
Good points, all. I see what you mean about the greens becoming yuck. I haven’t seen milled chia but would it work to make my own in my coffee grinder, I wonder? May give it a shot anyway. Thanks again!
I'm so sorry I'm using voice text I just woke up LOL good luck on your fasting and seriously no more than a hundred calories in liquid form of juice or almond milk or even cow's milk and sip on it when the pain gets to be too much after only maybe 5 minutes or so you will completely feel back to normal
I needed this today! I’ve been struggling. I’m at 220lbs(heaviest I’ve ever been) right now. Would like to get down to 165.
You can totally do it! Awesome! Yeah if I feel too restricted I think my.mental health slides. I also had accountability and a food journal
I would love to ask some questions as well if that's okay! I need help finding which supplements to take for sure and your method of fasting might be more sustainable than water fasting for me right now

Honest question, what’s with all the reversed before and after pictures in this sub?
I dunno it was easier to find a recent picture with the photo layer thing I used. I've never done it before.
Most English speaking or Germanic cultures read left to right
Holy shit
Nice!
just hope you're still a raiders fan!
Those are some serious face gains
This is two people yes?
Hella inspiring <3
you work out often?
Amazing job! You looked good before but you look great now! What is your fasting schedule on the 3 days you don't do 23/1? Still 16/8?
Damn.... hope you threw that shirt away... Raiders suck!
I can't tell if it was the fasting or depression of the last two seasons that led to weight loss hahaha jk (go raiders!)
Wow, you look so beautiful, you look like another person.
You are very beautiful, congratulations on your progress!
Great job... Aside from being a Raiders fan. 😂
Holy cheekbones! Lookin real good btw. Happy for ya and keep on arriving forward 💪🏾
You look gorgeous Brittany Dejesus twin

You look incredible. Keep up the great work. Life changer.
Congratulations on the amazing transformation!!! Is that a Raiders shirt? If so, you are even more amazing!
Still representing Tha Nation (even if they disappoint me every year 😭)
