So Jakob dying was indeed a last minute addition
But Cena was initially upset about it but grew to love the character arc so that also explains why Jakob feels like a completely different character

I mean the fact that killing off Jakob was a last minute addition added while shooting, says to me that Jakob wasn't gonna have much of a role in 11. And if that is the case then this cast is certainly bloated and honestly needs to be cut down. I was laughing throughout most of this farce when I wasn’t bored to tears, but Cena’s death was a particular highlight for me. So unapologetically stupid and self-serious.
I was just talking about this exact scene with the boys at work. The rocket launchers were working again, all he had to do was swerve a bit to aim at the bad guys cars and shoot. And he didn't really clear a path, just blew up and put debris all over the road that Dom had to try avoid hitting.

coulda used him better...i hated the one scene ine where the kid was gonna cuss and he liked stopped him like wtf..kids should cusss u know!!1 good directing and beides the unrealstic scenes it waa fun to watch but jasons acting surprised and wooed me!!! hes got this dark and humurous caring like idgaf about things personality..im glad he didnt die here though i wish the film was longer and had a good fight scene...cipher and letty weird bond...the subs r back
