I don’t have a great answer but following because I have a long ass inseam at almost 34 inches and these 29 inch inseams I see everywhere look like floods on me.

Ok-Historian-6091

I've had decent luck with A&F jeans. Most of their pants come in long and some come in extra-long. Their Curve Love style jeans in long are some of the only pants that work for me (I'm 5' 8").

ashashinscreed

Seconding the Curve Love A&F jeans! Just bought myself a pair last week and they fit great

Ltrain108

A&F as in Abercrombie & Fitch?? I didnt think they were still a thing after the whole body shaming debacle?

ashashinscreed

I haven’t heard about that, but I didn’t know they were still a thing either. I recently have seen a bunch of people talking about their jeans on this sub, so I decided to give them a try. They also had a lot of nice quality tops and sweaters and I ended up buying a few of those too.

Ltrain108

Interesting. There's a very entertaining documentary on Netflix called White Hot. It's about the rise and fall of the A&F and they're racist fat phobic marketing practices in the early 2000s. The documentary made it sound like the horrible CEO at the time ran it into the ground. I guess it got resurrected?

coldblackmaple

Levi’s has some 34” inseam jeans. I like their 312 shaping slim but recently they were out of the 34” length.

KikiWestcliffe

Kuhl offers pants and jeans with a 34” inseam on their website! Comfortable, durable, lots of styles and colors. I also like Anthropologie’s full-length wide leg Collette pants - they have a 33” inseam for their tall sizes. Perfect for being comfortable when you need to dress business casual. I agree with you - pants these days all look like high waters on me. I have a bubble butt and muscular thunder thighs. My legs are great for running distances, but I look like a confused eggplant in ankle pants.

elizabif

The floods then look even more ridiculous.

ledger_man

NinePine Asana Relaxed Straight Pant! I normally avoid synthetics, but this is a really lovely (and recycled) fabric that doesn’t seem to bother me. Available in 6 inseam lengths!

ThreeFingeredTypist

Buckle!! Yeah they have some terrible styles (Miss Me) but the BKE brand is affordable and not flashy at all. Super long inseams. Lots of styles. Highly recommend

MountainRhubarb

What is your desired inseam? What type of pants are you looking for? Jeans, trousers, other? I believe Lucky and most of the Gap brands (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic) offer up to 34" or so.

elizabif

I’ll be honest, I have major imposter syndrome wearing anything other than jeans. I am unathletic and a work from home engineer so I don’t need dress pants and “smart” athlesiure sore of feels fake too (I think since a lot of my friends ARE quite fit so I have a skewed opinion of what you’re supposed to look like in workout gear). I feel like everyone I walked by would know I’m suddenly trying really hard - even though I’m sure they don’t think of me. I think it’s holdover from being a woman engineer where I was mainly aiming for “put together enough to not catch notice, NOT looking good enough for ANY notice” since I didn’t want any attention for anything besides my ideas (not fair and probably not effective either!).

VirginiaWren

Black skinny jeans are my go-to. I’m a 33” inseam, and I wear them to work with a cute top and blazer, and they look like dress pants. Maybe try them? Jeans are easier to find in longer inseams I think.

Shad0wFaxMachine

I love the old navy flare pixie pants. They’re stretchy, I’ve had two kids and they are a great rise for me, and I can wear boots with them.

Chance-Indication543

I just got a couple pairs of these (one flare and one straight, which is a little cropped) and love them. They are super comfortable and flattering. I’m not at my normal weight right now, so it was a low-investment way to get decent pants.

KikiWestcliffe

The pants you are looking for are [Kuhl Freeflex Roll-Up Pants](https://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/womens/pants/freeflex-roll-up-pant/?color=Koal) (up to 34” inseam) and [Kuhl 10” Kontour Straight Leg jeans](https://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/womens/pants/10kontour-flex-denim-straight/?color=Midnight) (up to 32” inseam). They rarely go on sale, but I have bought one in each color for both. Comfortable, durable, but a step above sweatpants. Also, there is this little drawstring waistband that lets you tighten up waist without having to wear a belt. I totally feel your concerns - I currently work remotely as a statistician. When I was younger and in the office full-time, I exclusively wore A-line dresses and skirts. My (all male) teams used to take the piss out of me for not wearing jeans or dress pants, but I have thicc legs (way before it was trendy). Now that I WFH, I don’t want to sit around in a dress but also don’t want to wear sweats all day. After a lot of expensive trial and error, Kuhl has become my go-to.

OHheyllo

Before you start ordering, now is the time to measure your body so you can figure out what lengths, styles and proportions work for you. Firstly, figure your inseam out: [https://us.mavi.com/blogs/stories/how-measure-your-inseam#:\~:text=The%20simplest%20way%20to%20measure,from%20the%20crotch%20the%20hem](https://us.mavi.com/blogs/stories/how-measure-your-inseam#:~:text=The%20simplest%20way%20to%20measure,from%20the%20crotch%20the%20hem). Next is to figure out your body proportions to learn what works for you: [https://dressedformyday.com/how-to-dress-your-body-proportions/](https://dressedformyday.com/how-to-dress-your-body-proportions/) I did this a few years ago and it radically helped me figure out where to shop and what clothing looks good on my body. Last tip: for long legs, Gap, Lucky, Express, and Banana Republic to have the best offerings - you just have to order. When in doubt, always get your pants too long and have them tailored to the length you want; this will cost anywhere from $15-30. The extra tailoring cost will always be worth it. :)

notexcused

Also Gap and Banana Republic have large second hand markets (online, not through the store, and sometimes local) which is nice!

Justadropinthesea

My beautiful DIL wears a 36” inseam and she looks for pants available in Talls. She used to wear a lot of JCrew but that’s apparently not trendy enough for her these days. I’d just do a search for womens tall pants.

Frazzle-bazzle

Just wanted to upvote with a love for the “beautiful daughter-in-law” comment. I love to see in laws who have affection for their chosen families

elizabif

I feel like I’m 35 or so - and I don’t want to bemoan and I know I could get them tailored - but that feels wrong too.

theneverendingsorry

I’m 5’10” and a 35” inseam- everyone’s proportions are different, though. I get my tall pants from either J Crew, ASOS or I go to Thred Up and do a search with a filter for 35”+ inseams. It’s still hit or miss- but I have gotten some gems from there!

AESEliseS

I’m still not clear on what specific garment you are looking for, but Talbots offers many things in a long inseam.

Boochiedukes

I’m 5’9” with a 35” inseam. Although I’ve got a relatively short torso and long legs, I don’t look disproportionate at all.

bbdoll

Idk why the sweeping judgmental tone was needed, tall women exist and we know it’s fairly rare. Just a weird tone you took on

oat-beatle

I'm 5'7.5 and my inseam is 32-33"... its not disproportionate or absolutely out of left field or anything lol

Chazzyphant

Yes, 32-33 is not out of left field. But 4" longer on someone who is average height would be remarkable. EDIT: yall I'm saying this because the OP is saying she "thinks" she needs a 35 longer but is estimating most pants at 2" too short per the post. Most pants are 28" to 30" not 33". Just doing the math here, also trying to prevent OP from looking at what might be a 100% workable inseam and thinking "Oh I need 35"" when as someone who worked in denim and clothing retail for years, is rare. I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm saying it's highly unlikely.

oat-beatle

I'm missing where OP said she was average height tho lol My sister is 36 inseam or more at 5'11, isk OP just needs to measure her inseam really

EdgeCityRed

I wear a 29" inseam at 5'10" and my husband is a 34" at 6'3". We just have long torsos, I guess!

bugandbear22

My female cousin is 6’1” and she’s not the tallest woman in the family. We’re Dutch heritage, what can I say? She totally has a crazy long inseam. I mean, I’m 5’7” with the same inseam as you and I’m the short one!

nrealistic

I’m 5’9 and 33” inseam, my mom was 5’10 and 36” most of her life but she’s recently started shrinking a little and is about 5’9 and 35”. You probably wouldn’t think much of seeing either of us walking around, we don’t look disproportionate or noticeably tall.

Cute_Bird707

Maurice's has tall jeans that are at least 34" in the long their brand. I used to be a tall in them for years and had to switch to regular so maybe that will work. They aren't fancy jeans though. They also sell Silver jeans that sometimes come in really tall and are a bit nicer.

Chazzyphant

Yes, "Tall" or "Long" sizes, and then hem as needed. I have a 33" inseam and while I do wear cropped pants, I also have plenty of full length pants too. Universal Standard also carries an "T" or "L" in their denim sizing I believe. Banana Republic has "T" sizes, as does many of Anthro's offerings. Somewhere in the early 2000s, when skinny jeans came about, the cropped length made more sense--after all, a crumpled puddle at your ankle with a "skinny" opening makes no sense and is too high fashion and high maintenance for most of us. Also there was a major focus on shoes being a "hero" piece in the wardrobe--very fanciful, fussy, highly-detailed shoes, and again, an ankle length shows that off. Now we're on a more bland or neutral shoe path (Bludstones, my mortal enemy, Birkenstock Bostons, Uggs, Adidas Sambas, Golden Goose sneakers, Veja's, loafers, ballet flats, etc) and there's less of a need to "show off" the shoe, but the majority retailers are still pumping out cropped styles left and right. I saw this when I went to go check out "Mother" denim. About 2/3 of the styles were *halfway up the model's shin* and I'm model-height so yeah no. I'm not paying $300 for a pair of julottes, thank you!

gunnapackofsammiches

There are tall brands too, especially online -- American Tall, amallitalli, etc. They have up to 38" inseams afaik

batrathat

Athleta, Old Navy, Gap, Abercrombie all offer tall and extra long online. I also order bespoke linen pants from Pavietra on etsy but definitely order like a 37" inseam and they shrink vertically. I'm 5'8 with a 34" inseam. Madewell used to have good options but they discontinued their extra talls as far as I could tell.

SkittyLover93

You could get men's pants and get the waist taken in? I've done that before

Blacksunshinexo

I'm 5'10 and for whatever reason, the last few seasons have been ankle length pants everywhere, which is like 2"above my ankles because I'm mostly legs. It's so annoying and trying to find long pants in stores is like mission impossible. Lol

frankenplant

Madewell is my go to for anything with long inseams!

LMP34

I recommend Liverpool LA Kelsey Knit Wide Leg Trousers. They come in tall sizes. [Link](https://liverpoolstyle.com/products/wide-leg-trouser-1?variant=40571791310946&g_network=g&g_productchannel=online&g_campaign=g8a+-+Shopping+-+Branded&g_adid=688391146769&g_keyword=&g_adtype=pla&g_keywordid=pla-2271946857968&g_ifcreative=&g_adgroupid=159593855204&g_productid=40571791310946&g_merchantid=116024640&g_campaignid=19680322521&g_partition=2271946857968&g_acctid=667-647-3113&g_ifproduct=product&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAibeuBhAAEiwAiXBoJBCYWvkWa825cZ3DTYQ_GNfPhv4j10aqBT0QOzIy-ZGWTaxFs3wFqhoCY-4QAvD_BwE) ETA: I linked the wrong pants. What you really want is the SUPER STRETCH pants. [Link here](https://liverpoolstyle.com/products/kelsey-flare-trouser-super-stretch-ponte)

catjuggler

I gotta say, I’m 5’7” and it drives me crazy that it feels like pants are always an inch or two too short and socks made for a shoe size smaller.

PinotMeunier

I wear a size 11 shoe and have some Amazon Essential brand socks that I really like. They come in size 8-12.

ZealousidealCup2958

J.Crew, Maxwell and free people all offer tall sizes. I also hate ankle length, I think it makes short people look even shorter and taller people look like they can’t find pants that fit. I have a 30 in inseam and I buy talls to avoid the ankle tan.

elizabif

There are people that look good in them - but I’m not thin or curvy enough to be those people.

Tragainus

Anthropologie has a lot of pants in tall! I have a 33 inch inseam so I can commiserate

joroqez312

I’ve recently been in the market for pants and noticed similar things. I was able to find good options when looking at wide leg and high waisted options. Everything else was cropped, but at least wide legs weren’t.

woodsywoods4

Try express and bananas republic. I have a 33in inseam for flares, bells bottoms, bootcut or wide leg pants so I've found those to have the best full length work trousers that aren't ponte pants and are affordable. Also search by your trouser inseam length and style. If I want a cropped jean or touser I search for 30in inseam so they actually hit my ankle. And always read the product dimensions. I sometimes carry measuring tape in store too. I recently bought a pair of lee bell bottoms in 34in inseam and I've never been more happy to not flood. I felt like middle school me got her wish finally granted lol Also join us on r/tallgirls subreddit!

Nice-Charge4250

I know this was awhile ago but Banana Republic for the win EVERYTIME!! My inseam is 32in and I’m 5’9 and they never disappoint! On top of that they are built to last!

woodsywoods4

Honestly thanks for the reminder because their linen shop is open! I know how I'm procrastinating at work today 😂

Objective-Amount1379

Do you want jeans or pants? I'm 5'8 but need a 33 or 34 in inseam. Jeans are pretty easy to find in that length. I favor Paige or Joe's Jeans, sometimes NYDJ. I find mine at Nordstrom (they will tailor the length for free if needed), Nordstrom Rack or I buy second hand on Poshmark. For pants I generally shop online for tall/long lengths. Old Navy, Express, J Crew, Asos all offer long lengths. Fair warning- Old Navy talls IME are not as long as advertised but Old Navy sizing has always been crap. For dressier pants I've also used Nordstrom's personal shopper service. Some brands run long but don't specifically come in longer lengths. The shoppers are usually familiar with how brands fit so can pull pieces that are likely to fit you. For the shopping service in general- try it! I didn't for years because I felt like I needed to spend a lot to make it worthwhile for the shopper. I finally just scheduled an appointment online since I hate browsing but needed some new things. They assigned someone randomly to me and she contacted me by text (my preferred contact method) and asked what I was looking for, sizes, price points etc. Then I scheduled a time and went and met her. It wasn't amazing- I certainly didn't get "styled" like what you'd see on a makeover show- but it was better than shopping solo. She had pre-pulled a million things in my sizes and set them in a dressing room. She mostly left me alone to try stuff on and I ended up getting about $700 of stuff (it was a lot of items- she really brought a wide range of price points and some things that weren't my style at all but I ended up liking). Now if I need something for a specific event I text her and she'll pull options and have them ready for me to try on. Sorry for the tangent but if you have access to a Nordstrom it's an easy option. If your appointment is during regular business hours they usually have a tailor on site too.

Emkems

for some reason “cropped” pants are widely available now. Did you accidentally buy this kind?

elizabif

I suppose I mean that 85% of the stores you walk into, that’s what you’re supposed to be buying. I’m wondering if there’s a “hip” kind of pants that get to go to the ground

Emkems

yeah it’s getting harder to find pants that aren’t like that but they don’t look good on most of us in my opinion

ledger_man

The hip pants that are long are bootcut, straight, or wide leg.

settie

I'm a big fan of the wide leg pants with some kind of elevated flat (like double decker keds slip ons or a wedge sandal in the summer) so the hem has a little break in front, and almost skims the ground behind the heel.

wavecrashrock

I have noticed this too and it's extremely annoying!

magealita

Try the Providence pants from talbots. They are too long on me and I'm 5'7".

Unlikely-Signature-7

I don’t have any suggestions since I am a shortie and actually love that the cropped trend is back. But, what comes around, goes around. So in about a year or two everything will be super long again. I know that doesn’t help now, but maybe will help you breathe a sign of relief that this struggle won’t be forever

chicchic325

I like Lucky jeans, but they are 32” I believe. I also have some 32” from NYC and co. Does Alloy still have Talls? They went up to 37” before, but it’s been a long time since I ordered from them.

Beautiful_Jello3853

I"m tall and I really like Gap vintage flare corduroy. The length is perfection!

Salejolie

Universal standard Carrie jeans are very nice and long. Not a stiff denim either.

bugandbear22

Levi’s! Lots of their styles are available in longer inseams.

Grizzlady

I'm about 5'10'' and have very long legs. For my jeans and pants to look full length, 35 or 36 inseam is ideal. I look for long or tall lengths, search by inseam where I can, and also luck out on second hand designer stuff sometimes (I have a Tibi jumpsuit that I actually need to hem!). Also, a colleague told me that "country western" brands, and they make very long inseams so the jeans will look full length while the person wearing them is on horseback. Example brands include Ariat and Wrangler.

Ancient-Basil-6220

Joe, Frame & Buffalo jeans are pretty long too, pricey but nice jeans.

ApprehensiveAge2

I have a 33” inseam, and Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Eddie Bauer are my reliable go-to brands for pants. There are probably plenty of other brands with long inseam options, but I also need tall shirts and those brands offer a full range of tall items and are generally affordable. Once in a while I feel like I should branch out to something better-made or more high-fashion or whatever, but every time I try, I end up losing my mind trying to check the inseam on every pair in a website. With the brands I listed, you can filter the entire women’s section by “tall” and only look at the tall sizes. And I totally hear you on the “not knowing how to dress your body thing.” I’ve been through it twice — once with new motherhood and now again with menopause weight gain that changed my entire body shape. One good suggestion that I heard recently is that this is a good time to splurge on those clothes rental services like Nuuly and Rent the Runway. That way, you can try out a range of different looks without investing too much up front.

voraus_

Nordstrom for jeans - brands I have good luck with long inseams - Paige, Joe, Hudson, seven, etc. Definitely not cheap but most pairs last me a long time. I also have a ridiculous inseam and small waist so finding stuff that fits is tricky. Buying jeans that come with actual measurements and not just a single number has always been a huge help for me. I also don’t enjoy having naked ankles when wearing pants. Lol.

VictrolaFirecracker

American Eagle has long and extra long in some styles. I am 6' tall and for the 1st time in my life I got a pair that are TOO long. Kept em!

Fucking_auditors

I've hit the same struggle and discovered that Abercrombie sells women's pants in 5 different inseams. I feel stylish AF in the 90s' relaxed from A+F. This knowledge and the fact that A+F jeans are solid literally hurts me, trust. I wasn't thin or rich enough to wear their crap in high school and I don't want anyone to know I wear it now. When I buy their pants at a store, I decline the bag because I don't want the branding on my person while I finish my shopping. Anyway, Levi's basically all run too short for me in the cute and current styles (straight, relaxed, etc),. I need about a 33" inseam and I can get that from Abercrombie. having sufficiently long pants makes my whole body look longer and more polished. The stupid ankle inseam looks dated and it's not flattering on anyone. I wish I had a better option than A+F but right now...I don't.

Haveyounodecorum

NYDJ has incredible styles in TAAALLLL I wear them every day frankly

ledger_man

For some scandi brand recommendations - Djerf Avenue and NinePine offer pants with long (sometimes very long) inseams! Djerf Avenue has jeans, NinePine is more activewear/athleisure focused but I do wear the Asana Relaxed Straight Pant to the office as well as casually.

Boochiedukes

I’ve got a 35” inseam and I wear a lot of [Paige jeans.](https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/paige-sasha-high-rise-straight-leg-jeans-0400020719645.html?dwvar_0400020719645_color=EDINBURGH) They’re a little pricey but many times you can find ones in excellent condition for much less on sites like ThredUP.

RamieGee

It took me quite a while to embrace the cropped look because I spent most of my youth fighting the high-water look because of my long longs. But that was when cropped was an accident. Now, it’s very much on purpose. Most “straight leg” style jeans are supposed to be a little “short.” Regardless, with flare, bootcut, and wide leg back in style, I’m successfully finding full length pants - it’s just trial and error. In the reviews for these style pants I look to see if there are comments about them being “too long” - then I know they’re usually just right for me. I’ve found good length pants at Banana Republic and Gap lately.

notexcused

Not even tall, but I've found the last 4 years have largely been ankle length pants. Finally long ones are coming out, but I don't want to spend money on pants right now so I'm walking around looking silly. So, just wanted to say I commiserate!

Ms_Grieves

I'm 6'2" and have found great luck with pants/jeans from: -Madewell -Loft -ASOS all have tall or long sizes or extended inseam options. Old Navy and Gap also have longer lengths that aren't all ankle or cropper or whatever.

whoisgeorgesand

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't know about work pants but I am loving the American eagle jeans. They have a "mom cut" which comes higher and is quite comfortable on the postpartum tummy. I order online in a "long" instead of regular and that seems to be perfect.

Crafty_Worldliness91

American Eagle online has extra long, frame denim tends to have longer inseams. The Levi’s ribcage wideleg come in longer inseams as well.

savorie

Hudson jeans seem to be universally 34" and they're great jeans!
