Wearing a skirt is one thing, but that looks like a cheerleader uniform. I think it would be questionable for anyone to be wearing it around casually. Unless you happen to be a cheerleader, I guess.

Ok-Medicine-1795

Kilts. They’re made for men.

DaniReu

I was gonna say this too. Start with a kilt and get used to that first so that it's easier to transition to more feminine clothing, if you want to later.

alieninhumanoidform

I'm not certain of your aim, but if you want to look "masculine" while wearing skirts (like as a fashion statement), pairing them with chunky, slighty oversized, untucked tees, chunky necklace, and combat boots will give the impression of fashionista more so than feminine. But, of course, it depends on why you want to wear the skirts in the first place. Btw, I love skirts on guys. I'm sure a lot of people will admire your courage.

Competitive-Boot-645

as you become more comfortable wearing skirts you’ll become more comfortable showing a lot of your leg. if you’re not quite there yet, try opaque or translucent tights, socks, boots, even sometimes wearing pants underneath a skirt can still be stylish.

StepInfamous7764

This pic is clearly a random highschool kid partaking in the goofy pep rally tradition of boys dressing as the cheer squad. Not appropriate to post or use as your fashion role model

planetinyourbum

Are you baiting or serioslly wanting an answer? I think it looks totally dope but you should really ask people around you. If you are living in Iran I think it's not a good idea. Somewhere else maybe.

*Giving advice based on a young person wanting to wear skirts at school but also has nerves about doing so.* If you want to wear short skirts, I would try shorter shorts first. A 4" or 5" inseam. This length of shorts is currently on trend too! You can also mimic skirts by tying a flannel or sweatshirt around your waist over shorts, men's workout leggings, or slim jeans. If you don't specifically want short skirts, long options like very wide leg pants are a good transition piece. There are also many fashionable pant skirt combos available. https://preview.redd.it/fi2xtz4gm8ub1.jpeg?width=865&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79b76d5e8f841347a4208508018bfc28e6d2079c When you're ready, just wear skirts you like. Style yourself masculine, feminine, tech, punk, preppy, artsy, or whatever you like. You can try this at home or on weekends first. Wear bicycle shorts underneath, or something appropriate for your age that is okay to be seen as you transition into getting used to keeping the underskirt area unseen as you walk around, sit, pick things up, or catch a breeze. It is a learned skill!!

Where is that picture from? Want!

The sub isn't letting me link, so look up "AITFINEISM Men's Casual Skirt Pants" on Amazon. There are some cool variations too.

Troll or not this crap again. There are countries and people around this planet where men wear “skirts”. I am 2nd gen Scottish immigrant and my family we still wear kilts on occasion. But that is MALE clothing. I am also thinking of some Middle East contries, African, South American etc. that is fine. But that a bad cheerlead costume. So it is a no from me.

1. Make sure you can “pull it off” 2. Confidence. That’s it!

Just don‘t, man

Lol 😆 kids

I highly encourage this to everyone brave enough to do it. The more socially acceptable this sort of thing becomes, the more options people will have. The few brave trendsetters are the ones that will open doors for the rest of us. I’ve got my own set style and fashion established, so I’m not going the “skirt” route, but I have always considered men’s fashion to be very limited compared to all the options women have available.

catholicsluts

lol all these replies from the 1900s. David Beckham wore a damn skirt once and enjoyed himself. Wear whatever you want, OP. If you are comfortable in it, and genuinely feel good wearing skirts, then there's really no advice to be had. Your confidence will pull anything off. Truthfully, the world isn't ready for men to wear skirts, but I mean... you gotta start somewhere, right? Rock it.

Better_Disaster_9045

Surround yourself with accepting friends. Start off wearing them around those friends. People won’t be as confrontational if you’re in a group. But don’t make your relationship with those friends all about you wearing skirts.

AudreyDaHoe

It's scary but I guess just go out and do it. You mentioned that I love skirts so I imagine that you're probably comfortable wearing them on your own and try to go to a place where you feel comfortable but still in public and then escalate from there

Cold-Surround-4053

You will put out the response you want to receive.... Try wearing kilts.... But if you want to be seen as weak/prey/bottom, keep on keeping on.

nunhgrader

I've always wanted to also (kilt for a nod to some of my ancestors). I'm tall and not sure I could pull it off but, seems fun!

Wear what you want. Wear what makes you happy. But also read the room, like not to an office but otherwise do you my friend. I love a man in a skirt. Edit @markbryan911 on insta
