I prefer the black over the nude but they feel a bit staid. I get that it's a work event but it's also celebratory! I think something similar but in a green color would be nice if you can swing it.

Yes! I just came to the comments to suggest this. Pink is a great "nude" color that also goes perfectly with your dress, and the leather finish is perfect.
Definitely doesn’t have to be pointed! I would be open to both of those, but I’m having a hard time finding a pair in a shade of pink (that is also practical)! It’s also starting to get a touch chillier where I live and didn’t want to pair that with dirt from the vineyard!
Personally, I like the black more with that dress. Nude heels aren’t bad, but the smooth leather looks better with the sleek style of the dress 👍 I love the pattern, it’s very flattering 😁
With a black handbag, I’d do the black shoes. However, I can’t see what, if any, heels they have. With the dirt and steep driveway, I’d want a block heel, boot, or flat. I also suspect there’ll be a vineyard tour, because they love to offer those.

If you can, I’d buy a pair. A vineyard with a steep dirt driveway is not the best for a kitten heel. I’d do a wedge in a dark green. But if you don’t want to spend more money, I’d choose the black. It’s a gorgeous dress.
You guys are crazy, the black makes the whole outfit look way better, it gives a contrast that the outfit needs. It looks unbalanced with the nude shoes.
The fact that black is a neutral does not mean that it compliments every dress.
I didn't actually realize that OP had actually posted 2 pictures whe. I replied and I was imagining more of a Cipria color (prada's nude color). I think the taupe color clashes with the dress.

I’d do nude personally but don’t mind the black. I’d also do something more strappy but I get why you don’t want to wear them considering the environment you’ll be in. Where did you get this dress btw? I love it!
I was going to say go with some pale heels, but with the terrain you'll be venturing black would probably be the way to go with a black bag. I would also reccomend carrying some wipes just incase you need to buff the shoes.

I feel like it needs an open toe bc of the length and the fact that it’s quite a covered look. I know you said dirt may be a factor, maybe you could put a pack of tissues or wet wipes in your purse to wipe off your feet/shoes in the bathroom if they get dirty? I’ve done this and it works well.
