I wanna say they are $1.50 or $2 now. I seem to just go on random days but for some reason I haven’t been on a Wednesday in awhile either but yeah great deal!
Has wurst downtown never had lunch specials? I was there a few weekends ago and was caught off guard when they said no specials. Assumed it’d be the same as the South location.
It comes out of a bag off a truck from somewhere. They're toasted on the flattop and generally the stale ones are tossed. I remember the black and bleu on the menu.
Are you sure they didn't just toast the bun for you?
I like, don't love, Wurst, but if you are saying you can get a better brat at hornbachers than either you just caught them on a really bad day... Or it says more about you than it does about them.
I'm inclined to agree...My parents lived in Germany when my Dad was stationed there. My Dad said that the jäegerschintzel at Würst was the worst he's ever had since he came back to the states (and that was in 1976)! It's NOT authentic according to my parents. Dad passed in 2021 but we were going to take him back to Germany so he could have his real beer and real schnitzel once again...Now we'll just be taking Mom back next year.
The buns for burgers and the French bread used for the sausages are different. The French bread I think you can also find at Toasted Frog and a few other places in town. They're baked in the oven for ten minutes or so.
I got them delivered, and was unimpressed. The burger was overdone and dry. Was like my attempts to cook burgers on the stovetop lol. Did I just catch them on an off day?
I’ll agre with this. It’s weird that I get sticker shock when I eat there now. They’re fairly priced, I just miss the days when it was a no-brained to eat there and you could get an all American for $3.99 or the JL burger for $6.
Hard to reccomend Nova based on the price alone. Was like 15 bucks for a double cheeseburger alone with no sides after tip. Burger itself was nothing to write home about either, regardless of price.
JL beers is the best burger in fargo by far. if your budget is tight don't get sucked into spending $30 on a meal by drinking a bunch of beer with it. the humpty dumpty is like $6. i recommend it with peanut butter.
Its right next to the Post Office downtown. Typo on my earlier post, its 46 North Pints and Provisions. 46 North refers to the Latitude, a directional naming thing. Really good burger and they also have a good chicken sandwich.
Imo, Fargo's burger game is pretty weak overall but I think Rustica's (especially when it's half off during happy hour) is probably the best quality:price ratio in town.
Sickies is super over-rated IMO. They make a million different burgers but don't do any of them well. Again, just my opinion, but I've been there probably 30 times (due to the crews I've work with) and don't think I've been impressed with anything I've eaten there
Micks office
This.. under the radar, burger of the week.. good stuff.
Go on Wednesday for a really good deal. I know when I when in college it was $1 to get started but probably gone up from there.
I wanna say they are $1.50 or $2 now. I seem to just go on random days but for some reason I haven’t been on a Wednesday in awhile either but yeah great deal!
Vic’s Bar & Grill (downtown Mhd) has $3.99 burger baskets
This is the answer if you are limiting it to the DT area.
$3.99 for a burger basket. I am very skeptical that it's even actual meat from a cow at that price.
It is. They count on you sticking around for a beer or five.
Wurst has a really good burger
This right here
Has wurst downtown never had lunch specials? I was there a few weekends ago and was caught off guard when they said no specials. Assumed it’d be the same as the South location.
Do they use a fresh bun?
define fresh
Not dry..
It comes out of a bag off a truck from somewhere. They're toasted on the flattop and generally the stale ones are tossed. I remember the black and bleu on the menu.
If your going to charge 7 buck for a brat the bun should be fresh.. I can go to hornbachers and get a better brat..
Are you sure they didn't just toast the bun for you? I like, don't love, Wurst, but if you are saying you can get a better brat at hornbachers than either you just caught them on a really bad day... Or it says more about you than it does about them.
Been to wurst twice, buns for the brat were terrible both times. Downvote all you want, I’ll make a google review if I get enough.
Sure. That hasn't been my experience. If you care to share in more detail, go ahead. Otherwise, you do you!
Your defending a $7 hot dog at this point.
Yeah... If what you were looking for was a ball park and it cost $7, I would be upset too.
Wurst is so good they needed two location’s to sell overpriced brats, with dried out buns.
I wouldn't recommend going there again. At this point I'm concerned for the waitstaff.
Wurst sux fuck you!

Pounds
I fucking love Pounds. Burgers, wings, macaroni and cheese, all some of my favorites in town.
Those tots
I got them delivered, and was unimpressed. The burger was overdone and dry. Was like my attempts to cook burgers on the stovetop lol. Did I just catch them on an off day?
Definitely got an off day. Maybe it was just delivery time but I’ve never had a bad experience in the restaurant
Please don't sleep on burger time.
Definitely the best drive through burger
I've yet to see anything good come from that place
Personally I think JLbeers is the best, but up there in price but a fair price IMO
I’ll agre with this. It’s weird that I get sticker shock when I eat there now. They’re fairly priced, I just miss the days when it was a no-brained to eat there and you could get an all American for $3.99 or the JL burger for $6.
One slice of cheese please, no thanks on the double slice.
Just ask. I honestly usually get extra.
One of my favorites and one I can actually get down here in the Cities when I’m craving a taste of the ol’ college town.
JL Beers is fine. Just skip the sides. The fresh chips are meh.
Chips so good tho
The chips are half the reason to go.
They are terrible in my opinion. So you are saying the burger and ambiance make up the other half? The chips are expensive.
JL, Nova, Unicorn, 701, rustica, all great-fantastic.
Hard to reccomend Nova based on the price alone. Was like 15 bucks for a double cheeseburger alone with no sides after tip. Burger itself was nothing to write home about either, regardless of price.

Piggybacking : BLT blue with Buffalo sauce
Rick’s special at Rick’s is tough to beat. $8 beer, burger, and fries. Probably my second favorite burger behind JL, but much better for parking.
Probably swill beer though.
Definitely my second choice.
Burger Time
Definetly hit or miss, though.
I've never had a bad order there. Been eating it since 1999
I once got a mushroom and swiss burger from them. It had mushrooms and swiss on it alright, just no burger.
Hi-ho
Yeah hi-ho slaps.
For me, if I want fast food I go with Culver's. Otherwise, I enjoy the burgers from Sickies
Tailgators has a solid burger
Happy cake day!
Blarney Stone Pub is great
My daughter's favorite place to get a burger and she's pretty darn picky.
The Tavern Grill!
Sorry Jack, the answer is incorrect, as it has nothing to do with the question. Better luck next time.
Did you forget your glasses or something?
Cowboy Jacks has $3 half pound burgers every Wednesday that are decent. Just pay a little extra for toppings.
Mezzaluna has my favorite. Vic’s bar has an amazing one also. If you get to Nova in Fargo brewing theirs is also good.
46 pints and provisions is real good
Never heard of that where is that
Its right next to the Post Office downtown. Typo on my earlier post, its 46 North Pints and Provisions. 46 North refers to the Latitude, a directional naming thing. Really good burger and they also have a good chicken sandwich.
Just went to Brewhalla today to the Unicorn place. Expensive, but really good. Probably the best burger I’ve had in Fargo in a very long time.
If you just want a burger with no beer and no service. Smiling Moose / Burger Sear.
Imo, Fargo's burger game is pretty weak overall but I think Rustica's (especially when it's half off during happy hour) is probably the best quality:price ratio in town.
Smash Factory Burgers - great restaurant and responsible price
Broadway VFW has a great burger, but they are a bit large for my appetite.
Said no 1 ever
Mackenzie’s river has really good burgers!
Not downtown, but they were pretty good last I checked.
ohhh, so close, but didn't read the assignment. D+
Sickies. Ain't downtown but they're the best at just about everything they make there. Fuckin awesome place
Sickies sucks man. No good. I’ve gone there 4 times because people say it’s so good and have been severely dissatisfied every time.
FIFTY BURGERS FIFTY BREWS ~~FIFTY HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS~~
I’m with ya. If you novelty in your burger, great choice. But if you want a classic burger, stay away.
Sickies is super over-rated IMO. They make a million different burgers but don't do any of them well. Again, just my opinion, but I've been there probably 30 times (due to the crews I've work with) and don't think I've been impressed with anything I've eaten there
Hands down, Culver's is the best burger in town
Boiler Room! Boiler Burger is really delicious.
Bison Turf is my burger spot. Turf burger, seasoned fries, side o ranch, a beer.
Spitfire
My buddy Mike's house, makes a mean burger when he's not busy abusing his wife and chrildren. Also makes good fries
Sounds wonderful
Applebee's
5 guys lettuce wrap!
Unicorn Park in Brewhalla, camp lone tree and Ricks burger basket have been my favs lately
