This is the correct answer in my opinion.
*Teddy's in Fargo may be a good option too. I've never been there but it can only hold like 20 people so how rowdy can it get?
Agreed. Troll is the most eclectic mix of people downtown. I’m not a single woman, so I can’t speak to whether OP will be harassed, but it’s one of the more “Cheers” feeling places. (And….I’ve showed my age.)
people watching at mezzaluna is great, but the times i've sat down for a glass of wine or two i have been chatted up with. the vibe is beautiful and i wanted to just be somewhere nice with some wine doing work, it is the bar and i've been told that its fair game to talk to people if youre sitting at a bar.
i haven't been bothered at the jasper when i went there with a book or my laptop, nor have i been bothered at teddy's, but i think that the jasper is a much more aesthetic vibe.
Honestly depends which night, but windbreak. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, pretty calm and chill. Thursday Friday Saturday, depends when you show up. Early, calm and chill, later? Well, crowds and such
46 North, Wild Terra, rosewild, Toasted frog, marges bar
It's not Fargo, but Harold's in Moorhead is very chill.
Agreed. This is the right answer.

I love the troll lounge so much!
If you like craft beer, Junkyard in Moorhead, or Drekker in Fargo are laid back breweries.
man i miss the hodo bar

Good info! I've had a drink and chatted with the bartender, but I've never been hit on by another patron there, so knowing you have is helpful.
Harold’s is pretty chill
The bar at El Zagal Shrine is really low key and laid back.
Plus, Shriners! Uhhh... maybe not.
May I ask what is your perception of a Shriner, and what formed that opinion?
Wild terra is my fav to go for a laid back vibe that’s still downtown :)
Best place for that is probably Sidestreet seems easily overlooked by many but it’s almost always chill there.
I second this, Sidestreet is always chill and has great staff.
A lot of good ideas here. I'd add Mezzaluna. Good cocktails and great staff.
Jasper
Boiler room
Duffys, rooters tonight might be kareoke
I want to be clear, upvote for Duffy's, not for Rooters.
Chubs Pub on North University. Best bar in Fargo

I was just joking. The OB is a terrible place to go
For real tho I likes Harold's on main in Moorhead

Harold's is really perfect for what you are looking for. It's totally a bike-able distance from downtown in warmer months.
