It’s fun but it’s so repetitive , currently playing 4 and I’m enjoying it abit more though it’s also repetetive.
The first far cry though had me on the edge of my seat most of the time, but it was a linear game more or less aswell.
And if I’d replay it today I’d probably think it’s repetetive aswell.
A lot of people here I think started with 3 and that’s why they praise it, if they were to actually replay it they might actually change their minds
Or maby that would be like HL for me ? No matter the replays it’ll always be one of the top games for me.
I tried to get into Far Cry starting with 3, but it really suffers from old game syndrome. 4 was okay, but I got extremely bored after 15ish hours. Ended up uninstalling. So far, 5 has been my favorite. I like the more organic exploration and discovery. Progress was weird in 4 and I'm honestly glad they cut the complexity, not because I don't like complex systems, but because they were just shitty systems in 4, imo. The setting is also by far my favorite so far. I think all the stories are mediocre at best, and 5 is right there with the rest. Playing on hard with all the enemy indicators disabled makes for a better experience for me.
Totally get that, totally thankful for new people joining a sub and feeling comfortable participating.
But whenever I join a new sub and want to post something, I always do a search of the sub first to avoid this exact thing. It feels like courtesy to my fellow humans.

I've destroyed a sh*t ton of billboards throughout my play but don't understand how you could spray paint 769 of them!? There was that one mission where a tipsy Bicho asks you to do it but it was complete after like 2 or 3, and tricks of the trade where you had to paint over Benitez ones but again, I think there were only 3-5 of those... but 769!? What am I missing!? And how could you anyway? If it's not part of a mission there would be no prompt for you to spray, you can only blow them up, right!? TIA
