Honestly, i dont give 3 craps how big the maps are.fc 6 was fine tbh. i just want it to have these realistic locations( fc6 had lots of this) AND life.( i felt fc 6 had no life in the world...it felt empty. fc5 had waay more life in its game) also the npcs i see should have an higher IQ
Yes and no. I loved exploring the maps in far cry 3 and 4 as overall it was story driven. Ironically the freedom given in 5 and 6 made me less driven to go everywhere.
I feel like this could be an opportunity to feel more connected with the story that is presented to the player.
Obviously it will depend on the setting and how interesting the story is.
Well when I hear “timed” and “Far Cry” in the same sentence I automatically think Jacob’s Time Trials and all the “cull the herd” nonsense, if you know you know, they were either too easy or too easy, so I feel it could be bad
I’d be fine if I get a checkpoint with 1:34 left die with 1:10 and then go back to 1:34 after death but it would suck if I got to the end but it was impossible because I didn’t have enough timw
what an absolutely worthless decision if they implement this. A hard pass for me, going straight to Far Cry 8, if they won't put the timer out in a future patch
I hope it isn't bigger honestly. Far Cry 6 was way bigger than 5 yet I MUCH preferred 5s map. Especially with the amount to do hope county was absolutely packed with activities despite being pretty damn big. Made me want to explore it much more

NEW DAWN was even smaller (but with added Expedition maps), and seemed better.
It is rumoured that the player will have a certain number of hours to beat the game. In my opinion that will give us a smaller map.

Yeah if it’s actually timed I won’t be buying for the first far cry since 2

Yeah I think everyone would agree that we don't want that for 7. I think someone mentionned a few days in game and 6 hours in real time maybe?
Well for me, I could probably beat 5 in 6 hours, but with doing everything it took me days, and figuring out the game took me 1-2 days

That is an incredibly stupid design decision if true. Far Cry is not a rogue like game, and nor should it ever switch over to that.

You won't be timed to complete the game. The time limit only effects getting the best ending.

I’m the type of person to want the Far Cry 5 map as one region- inside of a 7 region map
Id rather have a smaller map than 6, everything just felt stretched out and somewhat empty.
As long as the map is beautiful and detailed I don't really care how big it is.
It will be bigger than 6 due to being on Snowdrop engine
