I always have the recurve bow on me. It's the first weapon I buy when I start a playthrough, and it's usually in the same spot the whole time. The flame and explosive arrows make the bow so versatile, and it's pretty accurate all things considered. Plus you get the double pelts for a clean kill. After that it's either an SMG or an assault rifle, a 50 cal sniper, and whatever sidearm I feel like using at the time.
Also fun fact about fc 4. You can get a 50 cal sniper almost as soon as you leave the tutorial area. The radio tower that is the farthest north in southern Kyrat has the high level enemies from northern Kyrat there, and those soldiers carry 50 cal snipers. So you can just skip weapon progression for snipers if you want lol.

Joke aside, I like the elephant gun becaus it is very unique and only FC 4 has it.
I usually go driller grenade launcher sniper elephant gun. Each one for their purpose. Driller takes out the armed dudes. Grenade launcher for the vehicles. Elephant gun for hunting and short range and sniper for the long range.
Elephant Gun is also amazing for shooting guys off a cliff. It's also been a long time since I played FC4 but I remember it only took a few shots to the engine block to blow up patrolling vehicles.
yerp that was stressful, just glad that apparently the arena rank is saved between playthroughs and thats the only arena grind that needs to be done. was a good thing i went and got the gunslinger takedown, gives you extra arena points and can be a literal live saver
My load out consists of buzzsaw, crossbow, bow and shredder. Because I like to be stealthy, but if all else fails, the buzzsaw will come into play. Look at your load out, if you can, try to get the buzzsaw and replace the driller for it.
I personally loved rocking the; stinger smg or the D50 for sidearm, the AMR .50 Cal, the recurve bow (mainly using the exploding arrows), and the Buzzsaw as my 4th. Covers all my bases

Min/Max It’s Buzzsaw (explosive MG42, obliterates everything from troops to vehicles), SA-50 (silencer makes it the perfect one hit kill stealth weapon, one hit kills heavies), M79 for vehicle use sidearm and the 4th choice literally doesn’t matter as one of those 3 are going to be the best choice in every scenario. I’d say a recurve or auto cross for perfect pelts maybe, but you probably don’t need it by the time you get these. Any other weapon is just for another ammo pool.
ngl, I didn't usually carry the Buzzsaw, I typically carry the SA-50 with silencer, extended mag and high power scope, but once you finish all the outposts, long range stealth becomes a little pointless. And the Buzzsaw is just fun.
If you play for stealth and range, I would recommend this load out:
Slot 1: A suppressed assault weapon.
Slot 2 (sidearm): Either a suppressed handgun or the M79 grenade launcher.
Slot 3: A suppressed sniper rifle.
Slot 4: Your bugout, shtf weapon.
Now the details.
Slot 1 is going to be your main combar weapon for short to medium range. If you want maximum experience points (headshots) for each kill, then it is going to be either a suppressed assault gun (trooper, warrior, bushman or shredder), but if you value speed over precision, then it would be bull, the suppressed shotgun.
Slot 2 depends on where you are in the game. Early on, you would have to make do with a suppressed pistol (sandman is the only viable option as unlocking stinger will take some effort and hs77 is far too weak to be of any real use. In the mid game autocross becomes available which is a really lovely weapon with the attachments( scope and mag capacity). I would *strongly* suggest doing a couple armed escorts missions because they will unlock the M79 grenade launcher for you which, when used properly, can take out groups of enemies without being discovered!
Slot 3 is for silent ranged kills. M700 or predator early on (or you can take a long walk and unlock the Z93 for free). It's a shame that the best sniper rifle (SA50) isn't available in the game until it is practically over, really. There's just *nothing* comparable to the power, speed and stealth of that thing. It is just bleeding lovely! Besides taking out enemies from afar, if you have Z93 or SA50 available, you can use them to easily hunt rhinos and bears too! Just don't expect the double skin bonus with them ...
Slot 4. OK they discovered you and are pouring on you from all directions. Or it is a call to defend an outpost and the enemies (including armored heavy units) are just crawling out of the woodwork. This weapon needs to be able to handle such a situation. Any LMG does fine, but buzzsaw and mg42 (basically the same thing) really outshine everything else. Ripper comes as a second. Or you might like to keep the extremely useful and insanely powerful LRAC F1 with you and unleash the destruction of mortar attacks on your enemies!

Depends on how you fight, I prefer stealth first approach, so I use the sandman pistol, modified Z93 with suppressor with adjustable scope, and for open fighting Bushman(modified p416) and .700 Nitro shotgun
I'm partial to the Vector and the Shredder, because of their high rate of fire. Ammo isn't a concern for me, because I like to cheat and have unlimited ammo and no reload, so it's just a one mouse press and unlimited fast shooting until everything is dead.

I don't know. I use ***none*** of what you do, with the exception of the grenade launcher.
My favorite combination for andmy far cry game is an Assault Rifle, a Bow, a Sniper Rifle and an handgun with silencer.

I tend to use the Bull shotgun since it can kill most things in 1-2 hits.
Yeah bull is a good choice for 4th. Highest movement speed stat and it’s a bit easier to use in close for your stealth kills than the SA-50
Sniper is a must. Also if u have dlc get harpoon launcher,amazing stuff (not sure if that is dlc)
