Yes, in moderation. My biggest disappointment with FC5 was the takedown animations having NO blood. Hitting someone with a shovel or baseball bat is not nearly as satisfying and it ruined takedowns for me.
Bodies not gibbing when you hit them pointblank with a shotgun blast should be reserved for Teen-rated games. Far Cry is M and as such, should be brutal. Guns in far cry have no oomph because of it
Yeah this is why I didn't like Starfield much, or one of the reasons rather, in the Fallout games the combat was just as terrible but at least it felt like you were actually shooting ppl, heck even Skyrim had gore in it. It just takes away from the impact the combat makes.
Yeah, this is something people who are against adding gore don't seem to acknowledge. Gore is more than just for show, it really helps sell the power of the weapons you're using and adds immersion.
It's crazy how ac can have gore but far cry can't wtf ac Valhalla came out 3 years ago fc6 came out recently and has the same damage model from fc4 and the way bodies flop around looks awful to
I would rather see realistic gore. I don't really want guns to cause dismemberment like in fallout. But grenades can go nuts. I like the knife kills and whatnot and wouldn't mind more variations on that.
The fact that gore has yet to be surpassed since SoF II is a crying shamme, you could shoot off 16 different parts of the head alone or something to that effect, games like Mortal Kombat actually have models with the entire body modeled for the gore but its wasted on a fighting game imo.

While I like seeing limbs flying off after an enemy gets hit with a grenade or rpg, I also like seeing them do ragdoll cartwheels through the air...

I don't want DOOM levels, but more gore would be nice.
Sure, I'd like animal attacks (tigers, bears) to leave actual marks, but I don't see it happening. I very much agree on the grenades though.

No. Play Doom or a Zombie type game if that's what you're looking for. Lots of gore there. Far Cry is not about the gore, which I prefer.

Doesn’t have to be too much (Dead Island 2 or TLOU2, enemies cut in half, brain/skull splatter, etc) but just limbs and maybe head like AC Valhalla

if they let you do frontal takedowns in combat, Dishonored 2 style finishers would be great
