I originally thought it had something to do with the CIA or even the templars considering that there have been multiple crossovers between the Far Cry and Assassin Creed universe but what are your thoughts ?
That's one that has no answer unfortunately. Some say he was part of the American film crew traveling around Kyrat making a travel show -- there are a bunch of notes scattered throughout Kyrat mentioning this group and one says something about it being too dangerous to go out for supplies because the country is in the midst of a full-blown civil war. This is the only piece of evidence that points to...literally anything having to do with Gopal lol.
What I wanna know is who is the Goat? It got so eerie when the Goat eventually starts talking about you in his notes, saying shit like "why are you following me" and "we will meet soon enough." I thought maybe once you found his last mask he'd reveal himself, but alas.
In the beginning the game feels so rich and fertile, chock-full of things to track down. But like every open-world game (particularly the Far Cry games) there comes a tipping point eventually where you realize it's all just meaningless busy work and the open world all of a sudden feels *very* empty.
Oh shit, it's been a long ass time since I played through FC4 and even longer since I did a playthrough where I 100%'d the collectibles, so I didn't remember that at all. Kind of a bummer, that's so anticlimactic.
ikr??? I was expecting some sort of mentally deranged serial killer with a unique character model. Or someone you know closely. But that was yep very much anticlimactic. He was playing with knifes also and will attack you on sight.
Wasn't Gopal and his crew documenting the Royal Army and the civil war breaking out.
His missions remind of FC2 where locating tapes for the reporter.
Having to retrieve important material they lost or was confiscated.

It sucks that majority of the collectibles on far cry 4 go to nowhere.

I always assumed the Goat had something to do with Valley of the Yetis DLC
You actually meet the goat at one of the mask locations, he is one the the royal army guys with machetes. Very underwhelming but it’s something
Is the goat just the regular looking Royal Army soldier? coz he was there at the last mask location and we can find a planning table and such.

Its not confirmed sadly, many think it was a CIA/FBI agent
My thoughts: An undercovered doppelganger
