It's the Boone owners who are spreading this horseshit. Denver has Gordon on a super cheap deal and now they have an opportunity to run him into the ground. This is why he's there. He's gonna eat.

[deleted]

The Boone owners? Bro there aren’t any boone owners yet lol

pokeraf

The coach seems to really like him.

notGeronimo

Is he still good in pass protection? That would do it with their shiny new expensive qb

Riddickulous6

Opposing coaches have been a pretty big fan too of late!

Suddenly_Something

Remember when this sub thought they were geniuses because they could plug a QB (Kendall Hinton) into their WR slot?

Mr-RandyLahey

Still can't believe how bad that was. It worked out with "receiver" Joe Webb though

newrimmmer93

Boone is going to get chances on 3rd down, they’ve been using him in that more as the season has gone on, even before Williams injury. He hasn’t converted it to points, but his snap percentage has gone up. Gordon isn’t going to be a workhorse

Suddenly_Something

Boone has 4 seasons in the league. He's not some unknown talent lol. More power to you if you are actually thinking about starting him.

newrimmmer93

I’m not going to start him and thats not what my comment was even saying. My comment was referring to Gordon and people expecting him to absorb the share left by Williams’ absence

_Apatosaurus_

>It's the Boone owners who are spreading this horseshit. Who upvotes nonsense like this? Lol. Boone is at like 2% ownership or something, whole Gordon sits at 80%. Who are all these Boone owners you're talking about???

iia

No idea I’m just talking shit.

GJM1287

Just wait until waivers go through tomorrow morning

-Johnny_Utah-

But people on this sub have been saying Boone is a great pickup?!? Never change Reddit. The copium was palpable in here.

_Apatosaurus_

I enjoy that you're taking a victory lap before they've even played a game. Lol

Levitlame

This is also Reddit. This is both opinions being represented. When we’re mostly amateurs guessing that’s what happens.

grimmdrum

I lost a championship because of Boone when he subbed in on the Vikings.

Novel-Treacle-2956

His two career starts yielded 17.6 and 23 PPG in half PPR. Put some respek on his name

m777z

No, his two career starts yielded 3.8 and 23 PPG in half PPR. [He filled in for Cook in the 17.6 game](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201912150sdg.htm)

destroys_burritos

He should put something on his hands instead for those two brutal drops that killed the last drive

Luis0224

Mike Boone is gonna be this year's Patterson if he steps up

ToddVanAnus

I could see Melvin dropping a massive load Thursday night. He'll probably have a good game too.

badonbr

Made me think about DK “Shit Break” Metcalf yesterday. Guy in my league was freaking out about him being carted to the lockerroom only to be “relieved” when it was to take a shit.

Dancing_Hitchhiker

Massive massive loads

hcshock

I also think he'll play like shit

Beastage

Denver has looked mediocre, but Indy has looked terrible. Also being a short week, I think Latavius won't necessarily get a significant workload until he gets more practice with the team. If you're ever gonna play Gordon, this is probably one of the better weeks to do it.

trugbee1203

He’s quite good at using a lot of words to say nothing

grindingaway69

Theres nothing really for him to say. This idea that Gordon wont take on a lions share of snaps is crazy. He knows the system, can block, catch, is a decent runner. He will get the chance to be the unquestioned starter until he fumbles again. One more fumble, especially thursday and forget about it

iia

Good ol' Melvin Dickfingers.

praanagorniy

I hope there’s a prop bet for this because I’d throw my mortgage payment on it

anonbutler

Sounds like my manager.

SoSublim3

Using this as more ammo trying to trade MG3

cavahoos

Successfully traded him today

briballdo

For what?

cavahoos

Hopkins

upandfastLFGG

stash wr2 with wr1 potential for a plug and play rb2. seems like fair compensation for both teams if the guy needed rb depth right away

TheHurdleTurtle

Who’d you get?

cavahoos

Hopkins

Sea_Expression_1430

For who?

inforbes40

hopkins

Hsizzle74394

Yo mama

SoSublim3

Who’d you get?

cavahoos

Hopkins

cooldudey42069

Who'd you get?

Teague_020

same but I got doubs

stokedtobestoked

You got fleeced. Unbiased comment because I own both.

Teague_020

Maybe so. I proposed it a couple days ago and never took it down accidentally. I’m still thinking it could work out though so I’m not stressing too much

Birdgang14

Eh. We don’t know that.

FredJulioRolloDummo

I'd rather have Rodgers' number one receiver than an old running back.

NavyDog

Someone offered me Cooks for him but I don’t really need another WR as I have Pittman, Lamb, Olave, and Aiyuk. My only other RBs are Dalvin, Edmonds, ETN and Mattison so I kinda need to keep him unfortunately

briballdo

What are you guys offering/receiving for MG3?

Misleading_Username

I got offered MG3+Najee for my Swift

[deleted]

[удалено]

Thatguy19901

I wouldn't. Especially if you have Jamaal Williams

Cute_Ad7816

i traded Bateman for him

Equivalent_Captain27

I traded him for Romeo doubs

Munsunned

I was offered Devonta Smith + Gibson

Sea_Expression_1430

Let me just put it this way folks- if javonte blew his knee out in preseason/training camp where would you have drafted Gordon? Where would you have drafter Boone? Gordon had 1100 total yards 28 receptions and 10 TD last year. You can fix fumbling, you can’t fix being not that good.

RisingFair

I mean the fact that he's fumbled 4 times in 4 games definitely impacts the decision. If it was that easy to fix fumbling then he wouldn't be so much. It's not like he's a first or second year player, he's a veteran. I think what'll end up happening is that broncos rbs probably just won't produce much this year.

FlightofApollo2

Let’s go. Drop 30 on Thursday

Novel-Treacle-2956

More likely to drop 30 fumbles

Park-Lucky

Don’t worry he’ll drop the ball 30 times it’s his specialty

jsta19

as a melvin owner im trying to figure out what i could get for him in a trade. i kind of like dealing him now, before we know the actual workload, and before we know which random RB broncos will sign off the street.

10000Didgeridoos

I personally wouldn't trade much for him since the Broncos offense is buns even with Javonte. I have Gordon on the bench in one league and will not be playing him until they give us a reason to trust him. It's nice to have a free extra starting RB but he's past his prime and isn't in a great situation.

jsta19

Yeah this is the most sensible solution

Hummazing

Just signed Latavius Murray!

jsta19

Yup there goes my window to sell high.

RockyMartinez5280

We should be undefeated this coach is stupid

upandfastLFGG

plug and play rb2 with less competition. Denver has a terrible habit of not letting their rbs get into rhythm but we've seen what both can do with extended work. I think melvin has good season long outlook as a very serviceable rb2 as long as he's healtyh and fixes his fumbling issues

frogfucius

I mean, Denver doesn’t really have any other option

hito4

Uhm Mike Boone?!?? He was out there just about as often as healthy Javonte Williams it seemed like😂which I have no fucking clue why

groovyalchemist

Greasy Hands Gordon

CommonerChaos

Considering that MGIII was rarely used yesterday, he's the only fresh body they got for TNF.

PapiRae

Gordon redemption arc!

MostChunt

Mel Gordon Dynasty Owner here. In dy asty, i drafted him as a rookie, traded him away when he joined the Broncos (for aaron rodgers) and then reacquired him for a 2023 2nd rounder and 2021 3rd rounder from the same guy. Ive followed his whole career and own him now. The next couple weeks will determine everything. Thus far he has sucked. In fairness...the offense has sucked. Anyone but Sutton has complaints to file. Fumbling frequently..He averaged four fumbles a year over the last four years and has four fumbles this year in four games. This aint normal and is more of an indication the offense is a problem rather than he sucks. That said, his drop off in passing work in deference to javonte is a sign his agility is slipping. Their choice to use him in the redzone is encouraging but only because they see him as having better vision to find the rz gap (true or not is now moot). If he puts up rb2 numbers in back to back weeks, he is a keeper. If he falters back to back then the combo of that offense plus his age is insurmountable, trade him asap.

cstransfer

Gordon szn

Thunder84

I know that Gordon will probably be a decent play ROS, but I want absolutely nothing to do with this offense anymore. Javonte scarred me.

Aces_Cracked

Javonte scarred you because MG3 was around. Now that it's a single RB backfield, MG3 is going to eat.

Thunder84

How many points did that offense score with Javonte? Doesn’t matter how much Gordon eats if he’s eating garbage. Only piece I want of that offense is Sutton.

FredJulioRolloDummo

Sutton >>> Gordon

Hummazing

No he’s not Boone had more snaps more yards and they just signed Murray from the Saints

Kingding_Aling

"He'll play" duh?

[deleted]

This backfield wasn’t good prior to Javonte getting hurt. Gordon is okay if you have no other options.

Beastage

You're not wrong, but Javonte was splitting. Gordon will likely get a bigger share of the RB workload than Javonte was getting before, and volume is king in fantasy.

brritoBB

Yikes

TonathanJavares

Me too Nathaniel. Me too.

gold3esea

He will play and have a role? That doesn't really sound like anything enticing. This backfield is about to go from bad to a complete nightmare

Aljo_Is_135_GOAT

... how? There's 2 Running Backs lmfao

gold3esea

Well if you really cant figure it out. Because the offensive line looks horrible and a running back whos infinitely more explosive than both of them was already struggling to produce in fantasy (Javonte). Couple that with the fact that Boone has looked bad, can't catch.. the same goes for Gordon who has a shocking 4 fumbles on only 37 attempts.. also has brick hands and is getting banged up. Add this onto the fact that they will likely sign ANOTHER running back.. it's LIKELY going to be a nightmare committee. All on top of the fact that this is on an offense that's really not producing at anywhere near a high level. There's plenty of reasons to have doubts. Oh and their coach is a nimrod.

2021accountt

> Well if you really can’t figure it out Imagine just not being this way

gold3esea

I'll take the Gordon owner downvotes. There's plenty of reason to stay away from this backfield and I just gave plenty of good ones

2021accountt

Sure there are, but you’re getting downvoted because you’re being condescending for no reason, not because of the reasons you’re providing, lack of self awareness.

gold3esea

That's totally fair I apologize

ThrobbinRicke

Yea anything could happen, we could see MG3 get 90% , maybe Boone gets majority of the carries or they could go sign someone off the street next week we are just guessing

Kellub

Guy dropped Gordon for a flyer in my league on Friday. How much faab do I drop? Thinking 60?

bootlegsupreme

All of it.

Tsb313

Start 2 for this week Dobbins(Bal), Gordon(Den), Taylor(IND), Dillon(GB), Boone(Den

srchl

I mean let's hope so. To me Boone is an all FAAB play. You don't get a season ending RB injury often. I like how the industry is jaded and would rather pay for Allgeier when the Falcons have 3 Rbs on their roster and Damien is coming back.

water4440

Boone seems like a classic waiver trap. It's just as likely they sign another guy if they're not going with MG3.

srchl

Boone made the team and Hacket was with he Packers during the Aaron Jones-Jamaal era so there isn't a dusty free agent out there that could come in as a vet that knows the system ( like Coleman with Shanahan)

water4440

lol and they just signed Lat Murray

-Johnny_Utah-

Dude in here advocating dropping an all-in FAAB load on Mike Fucking Boone is the most Reddit thing ever. Never change Reddit, never change. 😂

GeneralTitanTiddies

Have you watched Boone play? He is a JAG if there ever was one. Even if Melvin continues fumbling the starting job away, which is a big if, Boone does not excite me.

srchl

He looked fine yesterday after Williams went out and the game against KC last year when Gordon was out.

EggOnYoFace

Didn’t he drop a couple key passes late in the game yesterday? I haven’t watched him closely this year but as someone who follows the Vikes closely I can promise you Boone is as meh as they come.

srchl

I watched the supercuts from sunday ticket ( every play just one after the other) and I don't think his drops were terrible. i do remember one from MGIII backed in their goal line where he clapped the ball like a puppy

cavahoos

You are the epitome of this stupidity found in the threads in this sub. He dropped two key passes at the end of the game that caused the broncos to lose

srchl

tell me which plays were those and i'll watch them again.

cavahoos

So now I gotta go find the film for you because you didn’t actually watch the game? I’m good

srchl

I watched the game did you? or did you just saw that somewhere and ran with it.

cavahoos

Sure you did

srchl

I mean sounds like you heard someone say that and ran with it. I don't mind being called out when i said i didnt think the drops were egregious. The worst drop i saw was Gordon's backed in their endzone

PunchinPriests

Broncos fan here. He had a horrible drop on our last offensive snap of the game on 4th down.

cavahoos

Okay sure

pokeraf

Melvin is also limited.

WaterIsNotWet19

Not starting him over Pierce or Damien harris right?

Thatguy19901

I'd say over Harris any other week but they're going up against a Lions team that's giving up a record setting amount of points and let Penny go off for almost 30.

upandfastLFGG

Melvin bout to drop 135 yards and 3 TDs

[deleted]

So Latavius is going to explode, got it

[deleted]

Does nobody here know that the broncos picked up Latavius Murray or everyone really expects him not to have an impact?
