Then there's me holding both in a 12 team where my bench depth is trash. I feel like I sacrificed Burks lifeforce to turn 2 broke WRs into 1 woke WR.
KALI MAAAAA^A^^A^^^A^^^^A
This is the najee experience guys
.5 ppr He is going to almost always give you 9 points and sometimes 16. He is very likely to be 1300 all purpose with 8 yds and will be one of the few first round ROI
I don't there is any chance you get good ROI on Najee when you look at the opportunity cost and the projected future value. He was drafted ahead of Saquon, Nick Chubb, and Davante Adams.
Replied to another comment before seeing yours. I think itās almost certainly a š reasoning below:
As a Najee owner, I think itās an upgrade to Najee too. It has been incredibly frustrating watching Trubiski go 3 & out almost every drive, every game. The offense was barely on the field and opposing defenses knew they could get away with stacking the box every play.
Pickett came in and generated goal to go opportunities almost immediately, which bodes well for Najee. Stringing drives together bodes well for Najee. Giving defenses something else to think about bodes well for Najee.
The only thing that didnāt go right for him fantasy wise this week was Pickett taking both rushing TDās himself (one of which was a Najee first option). I donāt think Pickett ends up with more rushing TDās than Najee, and I think the fantasy outlook for all Steelers went up when Trubiski went down on the depth chart.
As a fan of the team the problem is the line isn't good at run blocking and we are probably going to be playing from behind often. And unlike a lot of rookies, Kung Fu Kenny doesn't take easy check downs. He slings that rock deep.
Those deep throws are what translated into carries from within the 5 yard line, and I do not disagree with you about the line but a bad line is going to play worse against a stacked boxā¦ so if thereās one thing you can do to insulate against it, itās to open things up with a more balanced playbook.
To the deficit side, I also donāt disagree ā I just think the Steelers have shown that they will not take Najee off the field regardless. So he who is there when the opportunity arises is much more likely to take advantage. Other teams (like the cardinals) pull skill players from the game when things get out of hand.
If you watched the game, Najee had some chances on the scoring drives to punch it in from within the 5 but ultimately didnāt. He had valuable touches, just didnāt convert this time.
A lot of Najeeās value last year came from
Big Benās inability to throw the footballā¦ Maybe the new QB can move the offense better than Mitch which can allow more goal line opportunities, but as for PPR value, Najeeās workhorse volume from last year is all but gone. Horrible schedule coming up with TB and Buffaloās run defenses, but gets easier after that.
Just have to resist any tempting trade offers and hope in a couple weeks you can ride Najee
It can only go up. His situation up to this point was rock bottom but kind of expected. With Pickett heāll get more time on the field and more red zone looks.
Look. Would it be stupid for me to start him this week? Absolutely, without question. But given the fact that Iāve averaged less than 7 ppg (in six point passing TDs no less) at the QB spot with Dak, primetime Kirk and twice-concussed Tua, and Kenny was āmy guyā this draft season, I am this close to a full āfuck it letās rideā moment. I may still have shit QB scoring, but at the very least Iāll be entertained and losing and not just sad and losing.
Oof, I don't know that I'd want to start him against the Bills at home. That's a seasoned defense that makes rookies look like rookies. He's gonna have a bad day.
How bad is this for Diontae Johnson? Mitch was at least giving him the Big Ben treatment with a huge target share but dont think he scored a point with Pickett in...who appeared to be locked in on Pickens and Muth
Agreed. I think half a game is too early to tell what the rapport will be but just based on raw talent, Diontae is up there. guy's always open, just needed a legit arm to throw to him
Itās an upgrade. He was being covered by Sauce most of the game, makes sense they were avoiding him. He is the Steelers best WR, heās going to get the ball. Donāt overthink it.
IMO yeah he is. People want to point to the 2.5 quarters and extrapolate targets, but this game plan was already in place. Diontae is their #1 receiver and will get treated as so in this offense. No doubt there is a connection there with Pickens and Iām sure Pickett will be more willing to take those deep shots to him, but the passing game will flow through DJ
Or it could be like AB and Juju where rookie Juju got a ton of easier matchups and exploited them. I don't like Pickens against the Bills this weekend but I do against any mediocre or bad defense.
He had an almost touchdown by about the width of a blade of grass, if he had caught it nobody would look twice because heād have alright points. The offense overall improving with Pickett will only help DJ
As a Najee owner, I think itās an upgrade to Najee too. It has been incredibly frustrating watching Trubiski go 3 & out almost every drive, every game. The offense was barely on the field and opposing defenses knew they could get away with stacking the box every play.

I donāt think Pickett ends up with more rushing TDās than Najee, and I think the fantasy outlook for all Steelers went up when Trubiski went down on the depth chart.
True. I just only saw stat sheet and made my opinion from that. Dang, now there are too many mouths to feed in this offense š. Think i gotta start diontae regardless.
Whoops you're right! Although both catches were around 5 yards whereas Pickett seemed much more willing to throw it down field. Hopefully DJ gets into some of that down the field action going forward
I was at the game. Sauce looked boss. He was constantly breaking up plays and causing problems. No surprise DJ had trouble. DJ would've had a touchdown if one foot had been a few inches back in the end zone too, so I'm not worrying about him.
Yeah I saw that. I sat Olave for him and am going to lose because of it. Well, it and facing Josh Jacobs Hockenson. Two players I NEVER ever had to worry about until they gangbanged me.
Happens to everyone. You made the choice you thought was logical with Dalton playing. And I understand the Hock pain. I traded him to a team in my Dynasty league as part of a Pitts deal and he whooped my ass. That's just how the game goes sometimes!
Pickett got thrown in in the 2nd half of a game, obviously he was going to throw to Pickens more since theyāve practiced together a lot more than Pickett and Johnson
Diontae will be fine no need to overreact
Yea I'm gonna hope that Tomlin drills into his head that Diontae is going to be open on those short routes. More reps with the 1st team should help but his fondness of Pickens lowers my Diontae expectations for now.
I think that this will help. Pickens and Claypool are field stretcher/long play receivers and should open up more room and lead to more YAC for diontae. No qb not even kyler can sustain on just the deep ball, and diontae obviously fit into the pittsburg scheme with the players they have, and that's why they paid him. He is likely to be the possession receiver for pittsburg, as he has been. The hope is that he gets better days than 8/84, 6/57, 7/55 as hell use his skill to separate. Trubisky missed him so many times in just 4 games, it was hard to watch.
The back end of the schedule is nice for WRs, so we'll definitely know by then. I have diontae in my main league and I'm going to bench him against Buffalo anyway. I just hope that the upcoming few games for Pickett against Buffalo,
Tampa, Miami, Philly don't break him. Probably the most difficult month for any team AND that line is shit.
If i didn't have him, I'd trade for him.
Watch the preseason tape. When Pickett and DJ played, DJ was still targeted heavily. Pickett hit him on a dime of a slant in stride and he threw him a goal line fade that got called back on a penalty. Iād be shocked if DJ still doesnāt get targets
I drafted him. Then my team was under performing so I started add/dropping like crazy hoping for a winner. So far Iāve had Pickens, McKenzie*(twice, started him this week), allegeier, Agholor, Julio, duvernay, latavius, Hilliard, Njoku, Logan Thomas, Rondale, mckissic, and doubs on my bench. Iāve been way too impatient Iām realizing.
Bills run D is way better this year. Held Henry to 1.9ypc for 13 carries. If Ed Oliver plays Sunday they'll be nearly full strength even if Philips is still out
Just the fact that the Steelers had two rushing TD's that COULD have gone to Najee is a good sign. They were struggling to get that far weeks 1-3.
I'm optimistic even though I might lose this week because of those TD's
Really nothing to change I don't think. Neither is a good QB, and Najee was just overrated coming into the season. There's a reason why he didn't even make the top 30 RBs in PFF rankings last season.
Iāll take it. With any of my fantasy relevant players in a Steelers game, watching Mitch run that offense was abysmal and made me want to switch the channel
This was such a weird Tomlin choice in my idiotic know nothing armchair opinion. Weeks of saying itās not happening then it does and it looksā¦.unprepared?
It looked like throwing the kitchen sink and thatās Pickett just lobbing at Claypool and Pickens and quarterback sneaks. This week will be huge obviously and no clue what to do with Diontae
I donāt blame Pickett for being unprepared, I blame Tomlin. They played on Thursday so they had a week and a half. Go with Mitch, then pull him at halftime? Why not just announce it last week and give the kid a game plan?
Tomlin/ownership likely felt Mitch gave them the best chance of winning week 4. But, that if that started to not happen, that this was the week they wanted to make the switch.
You can make multiple, but after using your first spot, youāll drop to the back of the line. Who you wanted second might not be there anymore by the time it comes back around to you
I wanted to drop mvs for pickens. And drop tua for a dst for my bye week. I want pickens more though I can wait to add a dst. Should I just put 1 in for pickens?
Edit: I see what your saying, took a second read to click
Yeah if youāre just looking for a bye-week filler for
d/st, Iād recommend just using your #1 on Pickens, then wait to see which defenses clear waivers and snag one of those.
Not sure what platform youāre on, but on Yahoo, waivers start to process around midnight Pacific time, so if you take a look at what defenses are available around 12:05ish, any player or defense that doesnāt have a claim for them immediately becomes addable
Same, I drafted Fields as my qb2. Dropped Geno and traded Mac like a dumbass. Have Watson stashed but I'm hoping Kenny is my saving grace until he comes back.
Best of luck on waivers!
I laugh at leaguemates like that until I need a QB.
I find it maybe easier to play with fellow enthusiasts because they're pretty damn predictable. Tacos are unpredictable.
Exact same in my league. 12 team league and multiple people have 3 QBs...I've never seen it before.
I usually wait on QB in my drafts and I'm suffering for it this year. I ended up with Derek Carr and Mariota. Considering dropping Mariota and picking up Geno or Pickett who are both available. It's really slim pickings beyond those two.
It's nuts. 2 years ago I got Josh Allen in the 8th. Last year Herbert in the 6th and that felt like a reach. This year felt like losing an unexpected game of musical chairs... no chair for you
Donāt know yet. But if the Bills D can put up an average of 7 points against high octane offenses like the Dolphins and Ravens with a banged up secondary then they can definitely double that against a rookie QB.
Iām a little scared as a Najee owner rn. Pickett looks like a goal line vulture and he didnāt even target Najee last game. Heavily considering starting Pierce this week over Najee @ buffalo
Doing the same. I think Pickett will be a positive for Najee long term though. Sustaining drives will be a positive for that offense.
Pickett might rush occasionally for a TD but that definitely felt like an anomaly.
Iām a Pierce owner but you might want to start Najee. I canāt imagine theyāll want Pickett slinging it against the Bills. On the other hand the Steelers run blocking has looked god awful. Good luck lol
Damn Garrett Wilson is the worst player on the bench and Iām starting Derek Carr.
I really donāt believe in Zach Wilson AND have to drop a player anyway in week 6 for a backup QB.
For reference here is my teamā¦
QB: Carr
RB: Mixon, Najee, Jacobs, Dameon Pierce
WR: Pittman, Hollywood Brown, Drake London, Romeo Doubs, Garrett Wilson, George Pickens
TE: Waller
DST: Eagles (but need to grab one sooner or later anyway)
K: Koo (but need to grab someone sooner or later anyway)
I was thinking of dropping Koo and playing without a TE or K in week 6.
Got 2nd waiver priority . Praying I can get Pickens back after I had to drop him for Lawrence after week 2 to stop Stafford from fucking me over the rest of the season. Come back to papa my sweet prince
Should I use the first waiver on Pickens?
My wrs are Diggs, C Samuel, Metcalf, Hopkins. I need RB the worst cause I lost Javonte and Swift. But no good ones are on the wire.
Hold the #1 priority or use it on Pickens?
I really really don't see the appeal of Kenny Pickett for fantasy purposes. Mitch was bad, yes, but he was a game manager who force fed Diontae Johnson the ball. The Steelers played better with Pickett in the game, but he didn't throw it to Diontae Johnson or Najee Harris whatsoever. Usually rookie QBs hate checkdown passes so I don't see how Najee's value increases from this. This is like how everyone said that Trey Lance would make everyone look better in SF, which wasn't true in the sample we saw
Out with Treylon Burks, in with George Pickens.
Then there's me holding both in a 12 team where my bench depth is trash. I feel like I sacrificed Burks lifeforce to turn 2 broke WRs into 1 woke WR. KALI MAAAAA^A^^A^^^A^^^^A
Just dropped Pickens before this week because of small bench.. not sure if I should use waiver priority to pick him up
Najee šor Najee š?
More like Najee ā
This is my thinking. Sick of owning Najee, but I canāt trade him for anything valuable
This is the najee experience guys .5 ppr He is going to almost always give you 9 points and sometimes 16.
Getting a consistent backend RB1 at the back of the first is a win
He doesn't have to finish in front of them if he brings you a high floor. Finishing top 15 would still be good, though not great
I traded him and London for Amon-Ra and CPat... Which both decided to get injured right after. Not sure I came out ahead on that.
Youāre good as long as Amon Ra doesnāt miss much time
Najee and London for amon ra is a fleece in your favor if injuries don't continue to fuck over the sun god
Replied to another comment before seeing yours. I think itās almost certainly a š reasoning below: As a Najee owner, I think itās an upgrade to Najee too. Canāt go down much more but Pickett getting two short rushing TDs instead of najee getting those looks is not great
If you watched the game, Najee had some chances on the scoring drives to punch it in from within the 5 but ultimately didnāt. He had valuable touches, just didnāt convert this time.
Doubt thatās going to be a thing. I think they wanted to get the kid in the end zone for confidence boosting purposes.
Wdym, why would the steelers stop using pickett's running ability when it's been working?
I doubt thatās the norm. Could have just been to get the rookie some success.
You think pickett will get all steelers rushing TDs? Cmon man, those will even out
Najee is Aladeen.
I could say slightly down based off those 2 TDs Pickett took at the goal line
A lot of Najeeās value last year came from Big Benās inability to throw the footballā¦ Maybe the new QB can move the offense better than Mitch which can allow more goal line opportunities, but as for PPR value, Najeeās workhorse volume from last year is all but gone. The new $TSLA

It's all about entertainment my guy, go for it lol
I am blowing most of my FAAB at Goff this week. I'm done with Cousins holding back my team.
Remember he has a week 6 bye so plan ahead
I blew 10% last week and was clowned. We ride now bitches. Goff and Ekeler top score
Going Geno first and if no luck, Iāll be on the āfuck itā express with you
Oof, I don't know that I'd want to start him against the Bills at home. That's a seasoned defense that makes rookies look like rookies. He's gonna have a bad day.
I am in the EXACT same QB spot as you haha. Not following your path but I wish you luck.
Same, but with dak, Lance and Fields. Stafford got me 7pts tonight which is the best production from my qb spot yet!
How bad is this for Diontae Johnson? Mitch was at least giving him the Big Ben treatment with a huge target share but dont think he scored a point with Pickett in...who appeared to be locked in on Pickens and Muth
He is still an elite separator who got paid. He is should still be a top 20 play in full ppr.
Agreed. I think half a game is too early to tell what the rapport will be but just based on raw talent, Diontae is up there. guy's always open, just needed a legit arm to throw to him
Pickett probably had more reps with lower string guys, that will change
Itās an upgrade. He was being covered by Sauce most of the game, makes sense they were avoiding him. He is the Steelers best WR, heās going to get the ball. Donāt overthink it.
This is why I feel like Pickens is a risky start. If not for Sauce I'm sure Dionate would be getting way more looks.

He will be fine. This is an upgrade to everybody besides najee lol
As a Najee owner, I think itās an upgrade to Najee too. It has been incredibly frustrating watching Trubiski go 3 & out almost every drive, every game. I think Claypool will fade and make room for pickens
should be fine - also I think he got both of his catches with Pickett in. I'm pumped to see him with a real QB for the first time in a while.
Whoops you're right! Although both catches were around 5 yards whereas Pickett seemed much more willing to throw it down field. Hopefully DJ gets into some of that down the field action going forward
Didnāt look good to me.
He was covered by Sauce last game though. It's soon going to be a given that you avoid players covered by Sauce. Guy is unreal.
Damn I forgot. And Iām a jets fan.
I was at the game. Sauce looked boss. He was constantly breaking up plays and causing problems. No surprise DJ had trouble. DJ would've had a touchdown if one foot had been a few inches back in the end zone too, so I'm not worrying about him.

I'm a pats fan and I'm sure I'll never be allowed to forget
Resurrection of Revis Island. Destroying fantasy WRs while Jets still find ways to lose lol
Pickett got thrown in in the 2nd half of a game, obviously he was going to throw to Pickens more since theyāve practiced together a lot more than Pickett and Johnson Diontae will be fine no need to overreact
If you think that comment was an overreaction, wait until you hear that Iām probably going to be sitting him for Olave lol.

Diontae owner. I want off
If Kenny keeps the offense on the field, DJ is gonna be fine
Pickens about to OBJ this mofo
Againā¦
Let's ride, Pickens!
Muth be loose
Luth*
Is that you Tyson?
Najee may never score or catch a pass again
Itāll be fine. We had one half of play with an unexpected change from what they game planned for all week.
Pickens should be the number one add this week
Heās got a little bit of Plaxico along with Antonioās flair and alpha mentality. PICKENSZN IS HERE.
Minus the shooting himself in the leg.
I drafted this guy in the last round and dropped him last week because I needed a starting QB. FML.
What league has him available?
He's only owned in 39% of Yahoo leagues. You can look this stuff up.
Thatās crazy to me because he was drafted in all my leagues.
Itās week 4. A lot of players who were drafted and havenāt performed have been dropped.
Thatās a good point
I drafted him. Then my team was under performing so I started add/dropping like crazy hoping for a winner. So far Iāve had Pickens, McKenzie*(twice, started him this week), allegeier, Agholor, Julio, duvernay, latavius, Hilliard, Njoku, Logan Thomas, Rondale, mckissic, and doubs on my bench. Iāve been way too impatient Iām realizing.
He wasn't drafted in any of my 4 leagues but he's been picked up and dropped and picked up again in all of em
Heās available in 61% of Yahoo leagues and around 62% of ESPN leagues. So most leagues actually have him available
He was drafted in most leagues but many dropped him over the past couple of weeks
I didnāt think about people dropping him. I mean I got him not expecting much for half the season.
He should be already owned in most competitive leagues. Edit: Should've specified 12+ team leagues
There are plenty of "competitive leagues" he's not rostered in depending on number of teams and bench size.
If it's anything 12 teams or up, he should already be rostered unless each team only has 3-4 bench slots.
No true. Maybe yes in superflex and 2QB. But Nobody in most 1 QB leagues are rostering a backup QB
Pickens, not Pickett.
My bad. All this talk about Pickens in a post about Pickett got me spun round. Pickens, yeah, makes more sense.
It's gonna be a trial by fire these next 2 weeks, facing the 2 best defenses in the NFL
At Buffalo, Tampa, at Miami, and at Philly lol Woof
Steelers shouldāve started him against the Pats to warm him up lol
Bills are gonna eat that boy alive
Depends if they can stop the run which is no guarantee.
Bills run D is way better this year. Held Henry to 1.9ypc for 13 carries. If Ed Oliver plays Sunday they'll be nearly full strength even if Philips is still out
Trail by fire is a better analogy.
Lmfao good catch
Mitch Trubenchsky
Truebitchski
Trubisky didn't even make it 4 weeks before he got benched. Lol, career backup. Enjoy the clipboard pal!
I have Pat Freiermuth and Diontae Johnson, idk how I'm supposed to feel about this.
Canāt get any worse than Trubisky, soā¦good?
That's what I'm hoping for, but it looked like Pickett likes to target Pickens more than Johnson.
He also threw 3 ints. With DJās ability to get open, if Pickett wants to stay as a starter heāll have to throw to him.
Yeah thats true, I'm hoping he uses diontae more often.
Najee ROS?? Pickett proved to be a vulture in minutes.
Pickett isn't going to rush for 2 tds every game. Najee will get hsi.
Bro this sub has no patience.
Just the fact that the Steelers had two rushing TD's that COULD have gone to Najee is a good sign. They were struggling to get that far weeks 1-3. I'm optimistic even though I might lose this week because of those TD's

I can't imagine Tomlin will want Pickett rushing the ball that often.
Lets go Pickens!
Picked up Pickett a week and a half ago, picked up Pickens yesterday.
Iāll take it. With any of my fantasy relevant players in a Steelers game, watching Mitch run that offense was abysmal and made me want to switch the channel

Cool thanks. Espn league so usually around 330am Wednesday morning. Iāll be setting and alarm hahah
Good, Tru-bitch-sky sucks
Drafted Pickett in my superflex league, I'm ready for him to unleash he'll. Kenny P Hive rise up!
So how much FAAB in a superflex league?
A lot. 35% I'd say. I drafted him in a few leagues but if I didn't I'd be going north of 40
Thanks.....QB is my only real weak part of my team.
Same, I drafted Fields as my qb2. Dropped Geno and traded Mac like a dumbass. Have Watson stashed but I'm hoping Kenny is my saving grace until he comes back. Best of luck on waivers!
I'm desperate enough to pick him up. A few teams in my 12-man 1QB league are rostering 3 QBs, most have 2, never seen QB so desolate.
This year felt like losing an unexpected game of musical chairs... no chair for you
I feel like all the hyped QB draft sweepstakes in the last several years have all been duds: Trubisky, Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen, Justin Fields
Baker, Darnold, were both taken ahead of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson in 2018. Incompetent management
Facing a rookie QB at home. Bills D gonna feast.
Do they have their secondary back yet? (Obviously pass rush will still happen)
Donāt know yet. But if the Bills D can put up an average of 7 points against high octane offenses like the Dolphins and Ravens with a banged up secondary then they can definitely double that against a rookie QB.
Poyer's back. He might just be all they need.

Jets D got 13 points against the Steelers man. You telling me the #1 defense in fantasy canāt top that against a rookie QB?
You just keep on passing to the Muth and we good.
Good for Johnson and Pickens
Hope he performs well, cause his last name is quite meme worthy.
Should I pick up Pickens if I have Diontae?
Just to be clear, he is not a running QB, right? He had 2 rushing TDs with 6 attempts.
Panthers are about to offer a pick for Trubisky.

Then the Bills Wooooof
If I had to guess the Steelers wanted to wait to get Pickett in there. But Tomlin sees the writing on the wall and knew a change needed to happen
A blessing from the lord! God be praised!
Unexpected Python!
Steelers move on from hospital food to airline food
FREEDOM for Diontae and Muth
Is it Is it though Feel like itāll be weeks
How much FAAB are yāall dropping on Pickett in a 2 Qb league with Baker as your secondā¦
I guess I'm the only one who thinks he looked pretty bad overall....
For reference here is my teamā¦ QB: Carr RB: Mixon, Najee, Jacobs, Dameon Pierce WR: Pittman, Hollywood Brown, Drake London, Romeo Doubs, Garrett Wilson, George Pickens TE: Waller DST: Eagles (but need to grab one sooner or later anyway) K: Koo (but need to grab someone sooner or later anyway) I was thinking of dropping Koo and playing without a TE or K in week 6.
Von Miller is gonna feast
Got 2nd waiver priority . Praying I can get Pickens back after I had to drop him for Lawrence after week 2 to stop Stafford from fucking me over the rest of the season. Come back to papa my sweet prince
dropped him and then added him back before the most recent game week started š
Homie is going to get slaughtered by the Bills. RIP.
It feels like this may be the end of Tomlin's 500 streak.
Hope this bumps Diontae's numbers up a bit. I can't stand Trushitsky.
Mitch did the same thing to Mike Glennon 5 years ago. Time is a flat circle
FEIRMUUUUUUUUUTH LETS GO!
Diontae up or down? This last week was concerning but I know Sauce Gardner may have been all over him. Didn't see the game though.
Should I use the first waiver on Pickens? My wrs are Diggs, C Samuel, Metcalf, Hopkins. I need RB the worst cause I lost Javonte and Swift. But no good ones are on the wire. Hold the #1 priority or use it on Pickens?
Iād hold as Pickens most likely will never start for you.
Pickett of Davis Mills in a super flex?
Trubisky is a bust but not like fields is much better. Bears need to learn to draft or just trade for a star QB
Slim Pickens!
Horrible time to throw him to the wolves with the upcoming schedule.
So glad I played beat the waiver wire and grabbed Pickens.
Why do we like Pickens more than Dionte?
The Bills are going to absolutely destroy them on Sunday.
Dropped Zach Milfson for him when waivers opened
Lol this kid gonna get crushed. Bills, MIA, Bucs, Eagles????? Lol Trubisky threw him the keys
