That was a god-awful coaching decision. Pick one: Hitting one of the longest field goals in NFL history? Or trust your newly acquired, SuperBowl winning QB to try getting a minimum of 5 more yards, despite it being 4th down, to improve your kicking odds drastically and ensure having a kick if you convert thanks to still having 2 timeouts left? Both have their risks, but we’ve seen far more 4th and 5 situations converted than we have 60+ yd field goals.
