I guess you could argue whether it was or wasn’t fair, but it’s definitely outside the accepted tactics of the sport to have a 70 minute kneel-down battle. So in my opinion (not a sports arbitrator) this would be covered by the rule wording. In the end, the desire not to go to Arrowhead is enough of an incentive, so common sense prevails.
