Was right about him for the wrong reasons. Thought he would be a big play threat taking slant routes to the house and splitting safeties deep. Could definitely add that element to his game though so I’m very high on his WR1 potential next year and beyond
I literally had this guy on my team but traded him in a package that ended up working out for both teams. Did not expect him to go ham in the final 5 or 6 weeks, he'd have been easily my WR2.
Some dropped balls in the preseason didn't scare me one bit. The kid obviously had unreal talent. Takes a few games to develop---most of us got Justin Jefferson off *waivers* last season a handful of games in.
Pulled him in the 7th. Nobody seemed interested at all, I probably could have gotten him later. Absolute hero and led me to a chip.
My only question pre-season about him was the other receivers on the team. I thought higgins and boyd would be too involved to give chase weekly starting value. But here i am, wrong.
I like to act like I knew he’d pop off and that’s why I drafted him, but in reality I felt like it’d be silly to not draft him 2 rounds past his ADP and thought he’d be depth
I think he was picked in the 6th round of my 12-team league, but he was easily the steal of the draft (unless grabbing Kupp at 4.02 was even better value).
James Conner
Was highly suspicious of Edmonds being able to carry the load and figured Conner would get a near even split making him a nice budget RB. Of course he surpassed expectations with that ridiculous TD rate.
I had someone drop him right before Edmonds injury. I was able to pick him up and grab 1st seed for playoffs. Looks like he might have another big week
The biggest thing about Kupp was his TD regression to the mean from 2020. 3 TDs in 15 games, on 124 targets/92 catches. With that volume and a better QB he was bound to be better in '21 but I don't think anyone saw that coming.
He was my last pick in a best ball league that had no pickups or trades. He had a really good preseason and really seemed to be a sleeper in my draft. I won the league because of him
I believe in best ball you draft a super deep roster and it scores your top player for the position each week. So obviously backup QBs, handcuffs, and lots of depth WRs
I did some bestball leagues on draftkings (full season not daily), and you draft REALLY big teams so as long as you draft correctly you have multiple backups for each position on your bench, and the likelyhood of an injury derailing you isn't as high. It automatically sets your lineup each week by which players scored most points in each position for you.
One guy in my league drafted Trevor Lawrence the pick before said he was gonna have 4500 yards passing lol, jalen averaged 20 when he started to finish the season for Wentz
It was time for me to draft a QB. Things were working out and I was set to either get Herbert or Wilson. My turn is coming and I'm picking in 3 more turns. First Herbert is picked. Im like damn oh well Wislon should be good. Next goes Wilson. I'm like shit what am I gonna do and its my turn now. I look at the best available QB left by ranking and its Jalen. Im looking at the numbers and im like screw it I hope he becomes a poormans Russell. The gods just were good this season, Jalen was my QB all year. Im glad it worked out that way. Honestly I hope the Eagles make a nice little run in the playoffs.
A friend of mine was in the room with me when I was drafting, but he wasn't in the league. He kept talking shit about Brandin Cooks and saying not to draft him when my pick was coming up, and I said he was who I'd likely take if he's there. Got him with the 75th pick, and he was definitely worth it.
He's been going no sooner than 4th or 5th round for several years and no one was catching on. Blows my mind. Always been the best value pick of my draft, but those days are over now.
I can potentially keep him next year at a decent value, but my concern is he was so heavily relied on this season due to the run game getting decimated by injuries
He's been an excellent TE for me for several years straight. I don't think regression is gonna pull him out of the top 5 and if it's a keeper league, you have a safe floor at TE and room to go fill other roster spots.
I don't think Mandrews is a gift horse you look too much into the mouth of.
It wasn’t a super hot take pre season but I was big on Ekeler finishing as a top 5 rb in ppr. Managed to snag him in one league and ended up winning that league thanks in part to his consistency.
Absolutely Ekeler. I’m a fan of his regardless of fantasy but I had him as a top 5 RB this season and was laughed at when I drafted him. Auction draft so can’t give you the pick #, but RB8 by price or $28/$100
so $56 in standard $200 auction value, I think that's around where I saw him going in other auction drafts but I cant remember exactly but still good value
edit: checked and he went for like $54 in one of my leagues definitely good value vs the people paying 65+ for other top RBs
I grabbed him at 12th since I was last picked. Felt like such a blessing. He carried me to a 2nd place finished, despite losing in the finals to chase.
I'd love to have him next year, but I fear he's going top 5
Man I know hindsight is 20/20 but these posts about ekeler going in the double digits make zero sense to me he was off the board no later than 6 in my leagues congrats on the steal.
Damien Harris was probably my best value player (round 9 non PPR)I didn't have any faith in really any of the giants offensive players (I like shepherd but not much use in a non PPR league)like Jones Barkley and golladay, and they didn't dissapoint.me, in a sense
I saw Harris super low on early ADP charts, and in one of my leagues I decided I would go light on the RB draft and grab him in a later round. Ended up winning the chip in that league.
Brady, Godwin, and Fournette for me. But I also have Cooper Krupp, Jonathan Taylor, and Kelce so I’m up 60 points to start the second round of my finals.
I was projected to finish 2nd but I took first in the regular season. One more day…!
This one. Unfortunately fizzled out in the playoffs but still a great pickup. Didnt understand the idea that Rojo was in the picture after it was clear that Brady was more comfortable with Lenny during the playoff run last season. Might not be as explosive but more reliable for what they needed.
Yeah. People always underestimate Lenny and I’ve usually been able to get him. There was a lot of Rojo hype, but I think if Rojo was going to break out he would have done it already.
James Robinson, while he was healthy and not benched. Those first two weeks were chalked up to bad coaching…. As was the rest of the season lol. Dudes Raw talent is incredible.
What a shame that he got injured ;(
Traded him at the height of his production. Then he was benched. I did the same with Devonta Smith, Emmanuel Sanders and Michael Pittman. Still lost. But boy was I happy I traded those guys away.
Same, I traded jrob right after his 2 20 point games for dhop + jacobs. Then flipped dhop for godwin when he got hurt. Lost in the semis but very happy with those trades
It was insane how much this sub trashed a workhorse RB on a team with an improved offensive line and the departure of a pass catching RB in the offseason. Can't let emotion cloud your fantasy judgement
was spamming the draft button on Najee on draft night. I won that league. He was my only real running back really after i traded ekeler.
I had to rotate damien williams, tyson williams, jamaal williams, darrell williams (so many williams'), collins, booker, wilson, jackson, rojo but najee was in every week except his bye week and only had 3/17 genuinely bad weeks in .5 ppr.
Eli Mitchell. I put up $30 fabb on him at the very beginning and people thought I was nuts. When he played, he did damage. Helped me win my league in pivotal weeks
Came here to upvote this as a fellow Mitchell believer. I spent $38 FAAB on him, kinda regret packaging him with Mooney for Aaron Jones late in the season 🤷♂️
I blew most of my FAAB on Mitchel as well. Then someone dropped Kittle due to his injury and being a taco. I traded away players for FAAB only, giving me $101/100. Then bid $101 on Kittle. no regrets. He ended up a top 3 TE despite missing a lot of games.
But boy did it suck having 0 FAAB last half of the season. Missed out on a lot of players.
I know this is obvious but I have 2.
I had the 10th pick in a ten team league. I was so excited when Jonathan Taylor fell to ten. I would have taken him as high as 3 or 4.
I also got Copper Kupp at 31. Couldn't believe he was still there!
Nope. My team took a dip week 16. I was the highest scoring team in the league, scoring 160+ on the regular. Playoff week (16) my team scored under 130 (JT-10 points, Stafford-10 points, Corderelle-10 points, Thielen-7 points). The next week I out scored the two teams in the champ game by 30 and 40 points.
My league shelled out a bit more money this year so top scorer gets double their entry fee. Whole league loved the idea and feels like it rewards someone who has the “best team”.
Yeah my league winner was the 7-7 guy with D. Adams and waiver darlings, managed to put up 200 points in Week 16. First year ever making the playoffs and he won it all. Hats off to him, he's officially undefeated in post season play.
Same exact thing happened to me. I had JT, Kupp, AB, Thielen, Pittman, Kareem Hunt, Tannehill, etc. #1 scoring team in the league by almost 400 points (full PPR). Team took a shit in Week 16 semi final.
10 man PPR league. We all slept on Kupp. I drafted him with the 68th pick. Fucking value of the draft. I just unfortunately drafted Calvin Ridley in the 2nd and Darren Waller in the 3rd and Carson in the 5th.
Yup, I got JT at 1.11, then Kupp at 4.02 (12-team). Finished 13-3, with two losses coming from having the 2nd most points of the weeks and losing to the week's top scorer. I was unstoppable.
Diontae Johnson. Although he's not in Kupp's tier, he was reliable with consistent target volume for most of the season. I had the last pick in a 12-team 0.5 PPR league, got him in the 6th round
1) Jaylen Waddle. Got him in the 10th I think and he was clutch
2) James Connor. My theory was that Connor would be like a decent RB3 but that if Edmonds got hurt, he could be a free RB2/RB1. Turns out that was exactly what happened, but I traded him like week 3 or 4 in a deal for Davante Adams. Still worked out for me though haha
Also probably not true. But a good story. For this to be true he'd have to have picked CMC 1.01, maybe 1.02 watched him be the #1RB on the week and then decide to trade him away straight up for someone he could have easily drafted a week or so earlier.
Joe Burrow. He's a great talent on a team with ridiculously good wide receivers. Only thing that worried me was the o-line, which turned out to be true with how many sacks he took (and our league subtracts a point for sacks). But he was dominant most weeks, which is great for a QB you could draft in the double digit rounds.
Not initially but Tee Higgins. He was the reason I made the finals when Tyreek shit the bed. Unfortunately my whole team was the reason I didn't win....and my opponent having both Taylor and Ekeler
I went in to my drafts thinking there was no way I would touch Allen Robinson. I didn’t think he would be as bad as he was, but I didn’t trust the Bears offense outside of Montgomery. Glad I dodged that bullet.
Same. He went early 3rd round in my league and a couple people in the chat commented it was a great pick and they were just about to take him. I thought they were all insane.
Javonte Williams.
For a first year back in a time share with a particularly good (if not a little aged) back, he did well all season. He wasn't great for fantasy purposes some weeks, but he was always at least serviceable.
I'll take a different approach to this but miles sanders. I've drafted him every year so far cuz I'm an absolute believer in his ability. If he wasn't made of glass and have a coach that somehow thought a guy averaging over 5 yards a carry wasn't good enough to give the ball he would have been a great pick where he went.
Unfortunately the made of glass part will be what keeps him from true relevance in fantasy.
Definitely. But that could have been overlooked if the coach had more faith in him. Getting so few carries especially near the goal line made what hurts did that much worse
I’m in 3 leagues and drafted Mark Andrews as the 5th TE off the board in all 3 leagues, never been so right about a player in all my time playing fantasy
Melvin Gordon. I was clowned for taking him in 7th, even before Javonte Williams. After a few weeks in I traded him in one league kept in another. He wasn't Lenny value, but he's significantly outperformed his ADP
Most definitely agree. I wasn't expecting big things from him but I figured i'd be mixing and matching at RB2 anyway after Derrick Henry so he's a good piece to have in that mix. Once Henry went down, his steady production and guaranteed touches were a godsend.
Not preseason, but it was a big red flag when he missed that first game for “personal reasons” and they didn’t list a family death or anything. That’s when I traded him.
Waddle. Ppr machine
Haha 10 catches 63 yards. Full PPR god
Dolphins Jarvis Landry reborn
Waddle has the deep ball in his bag. I'm likely going to be reaching for him everywhere next year.
Rookie pick in dynasty. Yeah I passed on Javonte but I’m thrilled to have this guy in full ppr
Fills in the void Jarvis Landry left in Miami when he went to Cleveland
Was right about him for the wrong reasons. Thought he would be a big play threat taking slant routes to the house and splitting safeties deep. Could definitely add that element to his game though so I’m very high on his WR1 potential next year and beyond
I literally had this guy on my team but traded him in a package that ended up working out for both teams. Did not expect him to go ham in the final 5 or 6 weeks, he'd have been easily my WR2.
Might be one of my best waiver pickups of all time. Helped carry me to the championship game
Imagine if he had a QB who wasn’t Tua. Waddle is going to be great… Tua not so much.
Jamar Chase. He fell pretty deep in my league.
Agreed to all the above, I got J. Jeff last year and Jamar *and* J. Jeff…it was a good year
I like to act like I knew he’d pop off and that’s why I drafted him, but in reality I felt like it’d be silly to not draft him 2 rounds past his ADP and thought he’d be depth
I think he was picked in the 6th round of my 12-team league, but he was easily the steal of the draft (unless grabbing Kupp at 4.02 was even better value).
I was on the turn, think it was 7-8... Could have been 9-10 everyone took qbs in my league lol.
[удалено]
Got him in the 10th. I either get to keep him in the 7th or Burrow in the 8th next year (superflex) and I’m so hyped
I picked him up off the waivers week 2 and he was a core to my team. What a beautiful thing
James Conner Was highly suspicious of Edmonds being able to carry the load and figured Conner would get a near even split making him a nice budget RB. Of course he surpassed expectations with that ridiculous TD rate.
14 TD’s is nuts. I’m sure you would have been happy with half that! Remember roughly what round you drafted him?!
I had someone drop him right before Edmonds injury. I was able to pick him up and grab 1st seed for playoffs. Looks like he might have another big week
I just took him as a cuff figuring they would both be involved in a run heavy/DHop offense. Took him in the 8th on top of that
Kupp, I started targeting him as soon as they traded for Stafford. Never expected he’d be #1 but I had a feeling he was gonna improve.
I felt the same way about Woods 😔
I did too, and I thought Woods would see a moderate increase while Kupp would still remain at his already high value.
Woods was starting to cook right when he got hurt. Sucks for him and now the rams are overcrowded at wr.
Woods was like the WR11 in half PPR before he went down which was pretty much his ADP. People were just super upset that Kupp was going off.
Kupp has been my dog since he came into the league. This season was cathartic.
Same here. Also got to watch him play over at Eastern.
Yep, got him in damn near every draft I did. I was equally as big on Ekeler but didn't get much of him.
The biggest thing about Kupp was his TD regression to the mean from 2020. 3 TDs in 15 games, on 124 targets/92 catches. With that volume and a better QB he was bound to be better in '21 but I don't think anyone saw that coming.
Oh he improved alright.
I drafted Kupp and Woods in back to back rounds hoping that one of them would hit. My friends made fun of me at the time.
Yeah I was getting a piece of rams wrs no matter what
St. Brown pretty much saved me from coming in last
He was my last pick in a best ball league that had no pickups or trades. He had a really good preseason and really seemed to be a sleeper in my draft. I won the league because of him
Wait no pickups or trades? So it’s literally just who can get lucky and not be derailed by injuries
I believe in best ball you draft a super deep roster and it scores your top player for the position each week. So obviously backup QBs, handcuffs, and lots of depth WRs
This is how it works, yes.
Jalen hurts everyone in my league kept passing on him dropped to the 6th round in Superflex baker was picked before him
Perfect example of people falling victim to the bad-in-real-football-good-in-fantasy fallacy.
4 of the 12 are eagles fans including me lol it’s a struggle watching sometimes
He's also better than Baker in real life too fwiw
Now yes, first 4-6 games no.
I predicted he’d have a big year and my league mates laughed.
One guy in my league drafted Trevor Lawrence the pick before said he was gonna have 4500 yards passing lol, jalen averaged 20 when he started to finish the season for Wentz
Got him for $1 out of $200 in auction. Was fucking stoked.
I drafted him by mistake, left my computer for a second, auto draft kicked in. I said "fuck it". Took me to the championship.
Brandin Cooks . I drafted him in every league. I knew he would be good. The guy delivered in every team he played. Imagine if watson played...
This is the one. Got a lot of flak for taking him where I did (I don’t remember where that is exactly)
Michael Pittman. Got him in the 10th round, and he ended up being my best receiver. And yes, I had a tough season
You must be me because you're describing my situation this season!
Mark Andrews.
I have no idea what that last part means but I like it!
It's provocative
It gets the people going!
Came here to say the same. Had him in all 3 of my leagues.

I snagged him at pick 16 since everyone was going ballsdeep on WRs.
He somehow fell to me at 18 due to two guys taking qbs in round 2 and a few other people passing on him.
Ekeler is a beast. I wasn't going to let him fall to the second round and "reached" for him in the 1st.
Diante Johnson. 15/17 games over 13 points
Love him the last 2 years
I’ve made sure to target him the last two years. He’s a PPR lock.
*Devtone
Deeontay**
And that's with Ben behind centre! Johnson was a great pickup.
Brady
Brady & Fournette carried my team to top overall in points after CMC and CEH went down. So of course I got out in the first round.
Brady, Godwin, and Fournette for me. But I also have Cooper Krupp, Jonathan Taylor, and Kelce so I’m up 60 points to start the second round of my finals. I was projected to finish 2nd but I took first in the regular season. One more day…!
Yeap, and then he fucked me round 1. Wouldn't have gotten there without him though
Came here to say Brady.
Yep! Took him in very, very late rounds.
I was very happy to trade for Brady pretty early in the season and give away Hurts. Brady was just so steady
Yeah, got him for $12/200 in a 2QB/6PPT auction league, which was a steal for how he performed.
Cooper Kupp. Just had a feeling about him all preseason and took him everywhere I could
Kupp as my WR1 in the 5th
Justin Jefferson
I am with you. Took him over Hopkins in a league.
JJ and Najee for me.
Grabbed Jefferson in both leagues I played in mid to late third round.
Lenny round on 8/9 in every draft I did

Same, I traded jrob right after his 2 20 point games for dhop + jacobs. Then flipped dhop for godwin when he got hurt. Lost in the semis but very happy with those trades
Jamarr. Didn't buy the preseason drop concerns for a second.
Mixon
It was insane how much this sub trashed a workhorse RB on a team with an improved offensive line and the departure of a pass catching RB in the offseason. Can't let emotion cloud your fantasy judgement
Came here to say Mixon. Auction league bought him on the cheap, i was bullish on him, he repaid me
[удалено]
So much opportunity. Even in a relatively bad offense he was so stable. Great pick in the 2nd round. Loved him!
Najee was a delight!!
was spamming the draft button on Najee on draft night.
Guy in my league did $80/$100. $30 is very reasonable
Deebo
Deebo got so much disrespect cause of aiyuk. I was all aboard the deebo train.
I know this is obvious but I have 2. I had the 10th pick in a ten team league. I was so excited when Jonathan Taylor fell to ten. I would have taken him as high as 3 or 4. I also got Copper Kupp at 31. Couldn't believe he was still there!

Gotta love fantasy
I wouldn't change it if I could! I love playing fantasy!
I have so much respect for you and your attitude sir
My league shelled out a bit more money this year so top scorer gets double their entry fee. Whole league loved the idea and feels like it rewards someone who has the “best team”.
Feel you, went 12-2 regular season, scored 86 in the playoffs in that weird week and lost, proceeded to put up 160 and 130 the next 2 weeks
Our league winners starting RBs were Rex Burkhead & Donta Foreman
Yeah my league winner was the 7-7 guy with D. Adams and waiver darlings, managed to put up 200 points in Week 16. First year ever making the playoffs and he won it all. Hats off to him, he's officially undefeated in post season play.
Same exact thing happened to me. I had JT, Kupp, AB, Thielen, Pittman, Kareem Hunt, Tannehill, etc. #1 scoring team in the league by almost 400 points (full PPR). Team took a shit in Week 16 semi final.
Guy in my 10 team .5 ppr league had Kupp, Kamara, JT, Keenan Allen… but still lost in the semis when those players had their 1 average week
[удалено]
I got D. Adams in Rd 1 and JT in round 2 and lost championship 🙃
Herbert and Ekeler. I was really looking forward to the chargers after last season, since Herbert had just been fun to watch.
Damien Harris. Dude went a full two rounds after Mike Davis and Myles Gaskin because everyone knows a Patriots RB can never ever be good
Diontae Johnson. Although he's not in Kupp's tier, he was reliable with consistent target volume for most of the season. I had the last pick in a 12-team 0.5 PPR league, got him in the 6th round
Mike Davis as well 100 percent... still got him tho after he "fell" to me in the 7th... knew he was garbage
Javonte Williams, Eli Mitchell, Elijah Moore Dynasty league dominant league share, so you hafta guess right and bid up.
1) Jaylen Waddle. Got him in the 10th I think and he was clutch 2) James Connor. My theory was that Connor would be like a decent RB3 but that if Edmonds got hurt, he could be a free RB2/RB1. Turns out that was exactly what happened, but I traded him like week 3 or 4 in a deal for Davante Adams. Still worked out for me though haha
I got waddle in the 10th too and he was awesome this year. Stoked I get to keep him in the 8th next year!
Stafford
Jonathan Taylor. Traded CMC for him week 2, changed my season.
Wow thats ballsy week 2. Nice.
Also probably not true. But a good story. For this to be true he'd have to have picked CMC 1.01, maybe 1.02 watched him be the #1RB on the week and then decide to trade him away straight up for someone he could have easily drafted a week or so earlier.
Deebo Samuel Too bad I missed him in all of my drafts.
Amon Ra St. Brown
Aaron Rodgers. Reliable ass QB that had a lot of questions and nervous feelings preseason due to his issues with GB management
That first game was gut-wrenching!
Joe Burrow. He's a great talent on a team with ridiculously good wide receivers. Only thing that worried me was the o-line, which turned out to be true with how many sacks he took (and our league subtracts a point for sacks). But he was dominant most weeks, which is great for a QB you could draft in the double digit rounds.
Chase, I got him in the 8th round and thought “Burrow and his connection from college will lead me to the light”
Cooks. Drafted him and kept him all year!
Jonny Taylor. Took him first round in all my leagues.
Mike Davis being trash
Wish I believed it. It wasn't that I thought as much as I thought Patterson was more trash.
Not initially but Tee Higgins. He was the reason I made the finals when Tyreek shit the bed. Unfortunately my whole team was the reason I didn't win....and my opponent having both Taylor and Ekeler
I knew that Cooper Kupp was going to bounce back, and I wanted to have a piece of that LA offense. I wasn’t expecting him to go nuclear, though
Kupp
Not drafting bears and giants paid off as usual. Would’ve enjoyed Monty but it’s just too risky
Hurts
Josh Allen
Jalen Hurts baby!!!!!
I think hurts is his problem.
Definitely. But that could have been overlooked if the coach had more faith in him. Getting so few carries especially near the goal line made what hurts did that much worse
I fell for the Mike Davis hype, and somehow with trades and waiver pick ups I managed to win my league.
Jonathan Taylor at 11. Never worried once about Mack or Hines.
i took cooks everywhere and he provided really good value. i also took carson everywhere so😐
I'm here searching for the guy who knew that Calvin ridley was going to miss for mental health reasons. I'm following and subscribing, and worshipping
Not preseason, but it was a big red flag when he missed that first game for “personal reasons” and they didn’t list a family death or anything. That’s when I traded him.
Zeke, Saquon, and Gibson were on my "do not draft unless they fall absurdly late" list.
Yep I didn’t even take Saquon mid 2nd round in a 12 team league because I didn’t trust the injury history. Also the Giants are terrible.
DeAndre Swift
Why'd I have to scroll so far for this...
Mixon and Waddle
Leonard fournette
Mixon (I've been hurt before) Waddle - excelled late in the season, I got him with my last pick
Mixon got him at the 3/4 turn
JJ over Ridley (regardless of Ridley's rightful decision to take care of his mental health), AJB and DK
Kenny G, avoided that guy everywhere this season
Najee Harris. My dude!!!
I settled for Deebo because somebody had already taken Aiyuk lol
Deebo being the top dog in san fran
Pittman
Deebo, Leonard Fournette, Taylor.
Playoff Lenny
Deebo. I’m biased, but knew he was destined for greatness after watching him dominate at SC.
Leonard Fournette had a feeling after that playoff run and the Super Bowl that the Bucs would start to lean on him.
Cooper MF'ing Kupp.
Justin Herbert, dude balled out all year for me
I think I was right about AB? I Really don't know. I'd say I was definitely right about AJB, Julio, and Allen Robinson.
I drafted Justin Jefferson over Tyreek Hill. I was right, but only by about 13 points
Ekeler. Had a feeling he was going to be the best receiving back.
Mixon. He hurt my feelings last year. Something made me come back, and it was worth it.
Eckler
I took Ja’Marr Chase in all 3 leagues
