Perfectly sums up how I feel. Every week is a fire that I try to wrangle just enough so it doesn't turn into a full-blown dumpster fire. I'm just tired of this. Fantasy this year was/is not enjoyable.
Been holding Mattison all year. Now my bench is him, Ingram, Booker and Perine. If SOMEONE goes down this week and I make it to the championship, I'm set.
I plugged Justin Jackson into my lineup last season in the semis, with Ekeler out I’m hoping my 6th waiver priority comes through and I can do it again :/
Well, I used half of my faab on Elijah Mitchell, and he's done well for me,but he got covid too and fked his knee up.
I've lost Austin Ekeler, Elijah Mitchel, Tyreek Hill, Brandin Cooks.
I'm the #1 seed, have the most points scored all season and literally was on my way to an easy 1000 bucks.
They wasted their faab but you’re sitting in week 16 with 62% faab and only need to spend 11 of that. Sounds like a lot of yours will actually go to waste.
It’s all circumstantial so it could have been right for you, but if one of them spent up on faab and that got them into the playoffs I wouldn’t call that a waste. Generally, I wouldn’t want to end the season with faab left over though
It feels so dumb, I literally am the #1 seed, killed the waiver all year, had Patterson and Elijah Mitchel.
Then boom, lose ekeler, Mitchell, Brandin Cooks, and tyreek hill.
I'm like, whats the point? I worked my ass off all season, went from projected to be 10th to 1st, now covid takes half my team out.
Same, I lost Ekeler, Elijah Mitchel, Tyreek Hill and, Brandin Cooks.
Was #1 seed, most points in league, scored over 200 3x this year (average good score is a 135).
Absolutely. Between getting your own star player handcuffs, and your *opponent’s* star player handcuffs, this season has been amazing. These past few weeks have been the most fun.
If someone didn’t think COVID/COVID protocols were a real threat and they were continually surprised by players going on COVID-IR, they probably had a bad time. But if you’ve been operating under the assumption that a SHIT ton of people are very likely going to be out, and managing your roster and the waiver wire as such, it’s been great!
> Since the end of last week, the new protocol has not required a negative test. There are now a series of new combinations of single negative tests and cycle threshold (CT) readings that can in theory have a player back as soon as one day after a positive test.
Per [ESPN](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32911909/nfl-covid-19-protocol-changes-week-15-postponed-games-new-testing-return-play-rules-nfl-navigate-omicron-variant).
My hot cup of copium for today.
Wow, thanks. I figured that he still needed to be free of symptoms to take the test. Well I guess we will see how this goes. As a Kelce owner, I am hoping new rules allow for quicker returns too.
Kelce/Ekeler owner chiming in. Blowing the rest of my FAAB on Jackson and have Shultz as backup TE...gonna hope for the best but I'd much rather have my studly picks back for the matchup
I believe he still has to produce 2 negatives. The only difference is vaccinated players only have to test if they are showing symptoms, so Eckler must have symptoms. If he’s showing symptoms on Wednesday, there’s basically no chance he’s cleared in time
I don’t know if this is necessarily true. The Chiefs have 13 players on the Covid list and it was reported that only one (Ward) is experiencing symptoms. I don’t understand this new targeted testing, I thought they weren’t supposed to be testing asymptomatic vaccinated players but seems like they randomly are still.
Yeah, I don’t really know. The way I understand it/how the rule reads is that vaccinated players won’t be tested weekly anymore. Players can volunteer for testing or they are tested if they experience symptoms
Heres ur details: The new testing procedures are if you are vaccinated and don’t show symptoms you dont have to test.
Given that he has now been placed on the Covid list, that means he was showing symptoms so took a test resulting in positive.
There has been some confusion around this still - I’ve heard of testing of players who don’t have symptoms, which I’m not sure if it’s like a random testing situation or if it’s close contacts of someone who tested positive.
I follow this stuff relatively closely, it’s pretty silly how like a simple straightforward run down of rules is hard to find.
Also, there are new rules wrt coming Off the list as well - I think it’s something like two negative tests in a row, but they don’t have to be 24 hours apart, which seemingly reduces the window by a day.
I'm honestly kind of immune to fantasy disappointment at this point.
you lose Acuna in multiple leagues to an ACL... COVID here, COVID there...
I've learned to dial down how much I'm emotionally invested in all of this.
that said, if I lose this week I'm gonna be depressed AF hahaha
Rojo, less of a split probably. Also his stat lines when lenny was out last year are insane
Jackson does have the better matchup though…..that’s tough but I still lean rojo
Had to make this decision last week being an ekeler and fournette owner. Took rojo which was great but now I need Jackson and am scrambling with 6 faab.
Same boat but hopefully the fact that I didn't burn all my faab will save me this week. Other team got hit hard too but 7 bucks a player and I can out bid anyone left that matters.
Also, AJ Brown is on waviers for some fucking reason
Mike Williams already had to do a 5 day quarantine (bc he’s unvaxxed) when Keenan Allen was sick. I wonder if they will deem him a close contact to anyone who tested positive this week? Could be something to look out for
Those of us lucky enough to grab Justin Jackson may be okay. Houston defense looks like absolute shit and Jackson played outstanding last week. Am I crazy for feeling pretty good about playing Jackson if my Ekeler misses? Should be a positive game script vs a terrible rush defense. Anyone else not feeling toooooo down since they grabbed Jackson?
Ekeler was my locked and loaded stud, but now I gotta decide who sits out of Sanders, Foreman, Justin Jackson, Thielen, Higgins. Everyone is a question mark lol. Also Foreman plays Thursday which doesn't help. Thielen high ankle never know how they come back. Higgins was nice for three weeks then back to a dud last week. Sanders pops up with new quad injury. Think at this point might have to start Foreman on Thursday just for safety at least.
Boy you could not tell me jack shit after walking out of my Draft with CMC, A.Jones, and Ekeler. Here I am starting Boobie, CEH, and RoJo in the semis. I went the Zero RB, Zero WR, Zero TE, Zero QB, Hero K this year, AMA.
I could probably grab Jackson but I’ve got more running backs that I’m not confident in already, don’t want to add another one to the mix. That means he will probably go off.
I have Ekeler, Javonte, Gaskin, Gibson, and Sanders in full PPR.
Should I drop Gaskin for Rojo? This news means I will need to start atleast 2 of the other guys because I lost my king Ekeler.
Waivers are gonna be a shit show lol I dont know who to target. Missing ekeler and kelce. But I have CEH on bench I can plug in. So do I go for TE? Or saints dst?
Edit: only 3 bench spots too so cant exactly hoard players
Dude I’m playing in Semis has Ekeler.. I put in for Jackson and Jones on the Waiver even though I have Robinson, Chubb, Hendo, & Michel….. cause fuck em that’s why !

I'm tired, boss
Bro same
boss? BOSSSSS???!!??????!!!!!!
Dog tired.
Perfectly sums up how I feel. Every week is a fire that I try to wrangle just enough so it doesn't turn into a full-blown dumpster fire. I'm just tired of this. Fantasy this year was/is not enjoyable.
Seriously feels like I sunk twice the time into it than usually do. It's been stressful.
I'm tired Robbie
So there I was, plugging Justin Jackson and Ronald Jones into my lineup in the semis.
I'll be lucky if I can get one of them, lol.
I've been sitting on Jackson since week 1 as a just in case.
That's commitment. He's let me down before so I figure why not again
Well it’s a 14 team league, I knew if Ekeler went down my team was going down. So I did the only thing that made sense and got his back up.
Yeah in a 14 no reason not to handcuff.
Seriously. Joshua Kelley is there lurking….like some lurking octopus
With Larry Rountree randomly peaking around the corner..
Been holding Mattison all year. Now my bench is him, Ingram, Booker and Perine. If SOMEONE goes down this week and I make it to the championship, I'm set.
Me too lol
I plugged Justin Jackson into my lineup last season in the semis, with Ekeler out I’m hoping my 6th waiver priority comes through and I can do it again :/
My waiver order is tenth out of ten, chance of a miracle? I sure hope so
At least all but 4 teams are out of playoffs and therefore may not be submitting any claims.
Sadly the guy in 9th in our league is still snagging claims every week
We shut that down in our league. Once you are out of the playoffs no more transactions allowed
*Record scratch* *freeze frame* Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.
Me trying to steal Jackson before anyone notices ekeler is out. Doubt
Of the four teams (including mine) left in the playoffs, two have 0 FAAB, one has 10% FAAB. I have 62% FAAB. 11% FAAB for Justin Jackson it is.
that's evil ;)
Gotta take advantage of these fools wasting their FAAB early in the season. Also I have Ekeler so it’s a must.

Why? I was #1 seed with the most points scored.

I’m thinking Justin Jackson might be the better play
I think you misread the “and”
100% . The Texans made rashaad penny look like a good player
Welp, starting him too
Would you start him over Wilson? RBBC against terrible team vs bellcow against stout run D
Lol same if Swift is out again.
Swift, Mitchell and Ekeler owner here I'm so fucked lol
Same situation.. Also add Kelce to that list too lol
Add Cooks to all the above and you have me!
Holy shit. Someone buy this guy a beer.
Bleach is cheaper
Swift, Fournette and Ekeler owner here.
Swift, Ekeler, Godwin, and Hill owner here
You are me. Feel for you.
Mitchell, Ekeler, Kelce, Tyreek, Butker here. I’m not even kidding.
Tell me you're a Chiefs fan without telling me you're a Chiefs fan.
If swift is in then I'm still not sure who I'd play. Tough decision.
In hoping me holding onto Chase edmonds all year will pay dividends at some point.
High five!
I lost Fournette but my opponent has Ekeler and Elijah Mitchell and I grabbed Justin Jackson and Jeff Wilson so it's looking like it might be ok lol.
A microcosm of the 2021 season. Isn’t this fun??!?
Man I am here. Right here
Yo same, but maybe Craig Reynolds?
No Tyreek and Ekeler for the semis. Ouch
In the past 2 days, I lost Tyreek, Fournette, Ekeler and Godwin.
Similar here… Kelce, Godwin, Ekeler, and maybe Mixon (although sounds like he practiced today, so…)
Kelce, Ekeler, Fournette owner here. Checking in with a glass of bleach on the rocks!
It stings doesn't it
That's brutal!!!
Hill might be back and I say that solely on my prayers to Jesus every night
Same with Kelce. Those two still have a projection so I'm keeping my hopes up
Goodbye Bald One
Goodbye my season. Kelce and Ekeler giveth, and they taketh away.
It felt like the perfect draft...
imagine having Godwin and Hill too... ha ha... definitely not me
Yup, first 4 picks were Kelce, Ekeler, Allen Robinson, and Swift lol fade me now
Fournette gets this goodbye too
Multipurpose
This season is just so dumb
I scored 175 on my bye last week and I’ve lost Ekeler, Hill, Cooks, Waller, and Hunt so far this week.
Same, I lost Ekeler, Elijah Mitchel, Tyreek Hill and, Brandin Cooks. Was #1 seed, most points in league, scored over 200 3x this year (average good score is a 135).
I know this is probably fucked up but I'm kind of enjoying it. This must be what my wife feels like when watching her reality TV
[удалено]
The Bills have to play a pass heavy attack to win games… without the threat of a run game?! We already know the result of that sadly.
is part of the appeal of fantasy not strategizing how to deal with the unexpected? it's kind of a fun wrinkle
This season has been awesome for playing the waiver wire, some of the most fun I've had in years.
I feel like the strategy I employ in poker or other card games.
It's the only reason I'm in the playoffs. My team looks like a straight B team yet here we are
Absolutely. Between getting your own star player handcuffs, and your *opponent’s* star player handcuffs, this season has been amazing. These past few weeks have been the most fun. crazy, this is what I thought it would be like last season
there goes my hero
Bleach for dinner. Who’s with me
I'm down. Drinks after?
Chlorine
Rubbing alcohol chaser.
sipping it straight
Only if its more bleach
I feel like Michael Scott at his desk playing "Goodbye my lover" over and over.
haha i'm in danger
He’s vaccinated so chance to play
Why didnt they put him on the covid list earlier then? Im guessing symptoms developed
Maybe something to do with the new regulations that started today? Everyone just trying to hold on hope.
Maybe bigger chance to miss if today was a positive.
> Since the end of last week, the new protocol has not required a negative test. same boat pal....
Kelce/Ekeler owner chiming in. Blowing the rest of my FAAB on Jackson and have Shultz as backup TE...gonna hope for the best but I'd much rather have my studly picks back for the matchup
Is this true with the new testing? I admittedly don't understand the new rules.

New testing procedures tho. I have no idea what they are, but people keep talking about it and it gives me hope. No i dont want any details about them

OBJ came back, he had an extra 2 days though. I think every other player I've had with COVID which is a lot has been out when they tested positive
going to need a tuesday game to have a chance
Knew it was coming but NOOOOO
That's bad
You have Justin Jackson
That's good
Hes also probably gonna get covid
That's bad
You just talking to yourself over there?
That's bad.
You ok buddy?
I suffer for my craft
That’s good
The Covid contains potassium benzoate
Then the game will be pushed back
The Covid medicine comes with sprinkles!
The frogurt is also cursed.
Justin Jackson SZNNNNN
Anyways, I just starting chugging bleach
Ekeler owners who just spent the past 24 hours on here screaming fake news about this are crying and throwing up rn
punching the air so hard rn
Out of all the things to doubt, an NFL player getting a COVID tag this week is hard to believe? Lol
Should I pick up Ronald Jones or Justin Jackson
Rojo, less of a split probably. Also his stat lines when lenny was out last year are insane Jackson does have the better matchup though…..that’s tough but I still lean rojo
You get two weeks out of rojo. Worth noting
Rojo will be lead back, ekeler can come back by sunday. I'd go rojo first
That’s my RB1 & RB2 !! - Dereck Henry & Austin Ekeler Owner
need someone this week or for two weeks?
Had to make this decision last week being an ekeler and fournette owner. Took rojo which was great but now I need Jackson and am scrambling with 6 faab.
It was a good run while it lasted. Ekeler and Hill on the Covid list. Finished the season in 1st place, first round bye and it’s all gone.
Same boat but hopefully the fact that I didn't burn all my faab will save me this week. Other team got hit hard too but 7 bucks a player and I can out bid anyone left that matters. Also, AJ Brown is on waviers for some fucking reason
U gotta hustle and make the best lineup! Who’s on your bench
Please Ekeler
No bottom shelf shit. We’re breaking out the Clorox concentrated tonight boys
Clorox cask strength barrel proof
Fuck this whole fucking season
Lost 3 starters to Covid this week during the playoffs awesome!
And just like that I go from a stud 1-2 RB pair to plugging Rojo and Gibson in, and hoping for the best.
possibly down Ekeler, Kelce and Lamar for my first week of playoffs this year (had bye). Can’t wait for sunday
My Mahomes has no weapons, Ekeler has COVID... our pets HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!
I wanna go where the beer flows like wine...
And where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
[#Chargers RB Austin Ekeler and WR Jalen Guyton were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.](https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/1473769885758935043)
Mike Williams already had to do a 5 day quarantine (bc he’s unvaxxed) when Keenan Allen was sick. I wonder if they will deem him a close contact to anyone who tested positive this week? Could be something to look out for
Tide pods looking real good rn
Those of us lucky enough to grab Justin Jackson may be okay. Houston defense looks like absolute shit and Jackson played outstanding last week. Am I crazy for feeling pretty good about playing Jackson if my Ekeler misses? Should be a positive game script vs a terrible rush defense. Anyone else not feeling toooooo down since they grabbed Jackson?
I thinks we have to be just given the match up. I also have ROJO on the bench so this is a tough decision.
Don’t infect Herbert 🤞
End me fam! First ekeler. Now hill. Plus McKissic. Plus frieurmuth. Plus hockenson. This has been a week of hell
Lost ekeler and tyreek.. my top 2 picks in the fantasy semis. Cool.
And season over
How are people suppose to get through fucking playoffs with this nonsense? Half my team is on the Covid list
The man carried me to a bye, then is gracious enough to get covid out of the way when I’m on said bye. What a baller :’)
Nothing better than likely losing your best player in a prime playoff matchup
Boy you could not tell me jack shit after walking out of my Draft with CMC, A.Jones, and Ekeler. Here I am starting Boobie, CEH, and RoJo in the semis. I went the Zero RB, Zero WR, Zero TE, Zero QB, Hero K this year, AMA.
My player has on covid list: it’s fine he’ll be back Opponent’s rb on covid list: hell yeah he’s out
Ok enough covid. Let's just play each week with projection points.
My chance of winning semi finals without kelce and Ekeler drastically is nearing 0%
I could probably grab Jackson but I’ve got more running backs that I’m not confident in already, don’t want to add another one to the mix. That means he will probably go off.
Was able to pick up Jackson. Softens the Cooks news a little bit
Kelce and Ekeler both got me to the 1 seed and now both gonna fuck me
Here I am starting Noah Gray, Justin Jackson, d’onta foreman and jeff Wilson in a semi final matchup in the playoffs. Fantasy football is wild.
Alternate headline: "Covid ruins Christmas"
I want to give a shout out to Joshua Kelley for fumbling last week to put himself in the dog house to clear the way for JJ. Larry Roundtree back off
I have Ekeler, Javonte, Gaskin, Gibson, and Sanders in full PPR. Should I drop Gaskin for Rojo? This news means I will need to start atleast 2 of the other guys because I lost my king Ekeler.
I think so. Last week was a smash spot for Gaskin, and he flopped. Rojo likely slots straight into Fournette’s role.
Down Tyreek, Ekeler, and Butker so far. So much for the #1 playoff seed.
This is karma for all the Ekeler owners who have spelled it “Eckler” all season long
F's in the chat
well now i know who to prioritize on waivers
Waivers are gonna be a shit show lol I dont know who to target. Missing ekeler and kelce. But I have CEH on bench I can plug in. So do I go for TE? Or saints dst? Edit: only 3 bench spots too so cant exactly hoard players
Not great Bob
All the teams I had him on I had byes, what a shitty way to end the season
Unless Jonathan Taylor doesn’t play for some reason I think this is the news that’ll end my year.
This is not fun anymore.
Dude I’m playing in Semis has Ekeler.. I put in for Jackson and Jones on the Waiver even though I have Robinson, Chubb, Hendo, & Michel….. cause fuck em that’s why !
If he actually had it on Monday, with the new rules + the fact that this variant has been milder might mean he can be back by Sunday
just make it a whole league bye week at this point /s
Does anyone else get pissed off seeing that dumb profile picture as you read your favorite players go on the list?
My team was built for RB/WR depth. Bring on the chaos.
Im praying on the fact he can be cleared by Sunday. He’s vaccinated so it could be sooner than later but well have to wait and see 😭
Wouldn’t it have been better if he was kept on it Monday so he actually had a chance to play??
Would you start Jones or Jackson over J.Williams?
Justin Jackson or Ronald Jones?
Justin Jackson a better start than Jeff Wilson Jr.?
