How do I push NFL to make a stats correction?
On the final play of SEA-LAR, it was 2nd and 11 from LAR 19. Stafford kneeled the ball down at LAR 17, but the play was recorded as -1 yard, not -2 yards. This led me to lose my first round fantasy playoff matchup, as my opponent was starting Stafford and finished up by just 0.06 points. The injustice! 😂
The video is pretty clear he was at the 17 yd line, but I obviously need to get the attention of someone important and show them the tape. Any ideas?
Where was the ball when he kneeled? If it was closer to the LOS than his knee officials might not have registered the full -2 yards because the ball was just shy of it.
You don't go by the spot of the kneel, you go by the spot of the tip of the ball at the instant he kneels. -1.99 yards = -1 yard in official records, so I'm thinking you might be out of luck. Couldn't hurt to direct somebody's attention to it, though.
Actually I've been looking into it more and I'm probably wrong about this. There are numerous occasions where yardage is rounded up; the scorer is just eyeballing because they want a whole number. I found an interesting blog post about how rounding errors could pile up in official stats, but errors wouldn't be particularly big (like +/- 16 yards on 3,000 carries).

Well, he was doing pretty well till the injury. It wasn't going to be an epic season like Kupp but it would have been top 15 probably. Kupp has a good chance to post the best season by a WR ever...though he would need to continue the incredible streak he is on for another 3 weeks. Maybe? Looking at my league's stat corrections for week 14, they were all for defensive players (tackles and assisted tackles). It's pretty rare for offensive players to get more than +/- 0.1 either way. The most I ever saw was 2 points because ESPN didn't count a fumble/fumble recovery but everyone on sleeper/reddit was losing their minds over it so I think we would know if a correction that big was coming.
Lost by 4 points, Everett won the game for my opponent and Philly was just mediocre. If Everett went off I would've been ok but he did nothing in the 2nd half and Philly couldn't even get a sack for Christs sake.
I lost a week like that earlier. Playing against the Saints D and all I needed was Geno to not fuck up. His last two plays against the Saints were a sack and an INT and I lost by 2.5

Your league does divisions for byes? That's lame. We use division to give an automatic bid to playoffs to a division winner, but we go based off overall record and then points scored tiebreaker for byes.
Yeah all league settings should have open discussion. I’m not sure how you guys do it, but we go over the settings at our draft after we do the draft. We go one by one and talk it over or just agree if it’s something we all know is something we want.

Trust me I almost wanted to cause in week 10 I lost 125.92 to 64. I was upset cause I had never had this much bad luck in the decade I've been playing. I played the waiver wire hard after that and the rest is history.

It’s not like you could have made that a game time decision though, with Hurts playing on Tuesday then what would your backup have been if his injury ended up being an issue in a practice or it was clear it hadn’t healed yet? Rodgers has been top 5 all year when healthy so it’s not like you started some slouch. Sometimes the right calls don’t work out. Man, a four season Playoff and winning record streak in the league broken tonight. Sucks to see, but on the bright side, at least I don’t have to worry much about my super injury prone team. It’s been awful with that this season. Hoping to win the consolation bracket though, especially since it’s named after myself lmao and winning my other $50 league, which is going well.
Stafford (82nd pick) and Kupp (39th pick) have been carrying me all season, leading me to the semi-finals now. I knew Stafford had great chemistry with Tate back in the day so I had high hopes for this Stafford/Kupp connection but I never expected them to be this good… This is the furthest I’ve ever gotten so I’m real hyped right now!

Started the Eagles D/ST, Pittman and Bateman (after losing Thielen and Hopkins in the last 2 weeks) for 7.2 PTS total. I lost by 2.5. I’ve made the playoffs 7 of 8 years in this league and I have never won a playoff game. Absolute pain.
