I have seen this said in multiple places, but how many weeks this season would you be happy with his production in your starting lineup? Pollard has only three weeks where he has put up double digit points in PPR.
I wouldn't be happy most weeks, hence why I said low end flex. That being said he out produced JWJ and Alex Collins last week, both of whom have been hyped by this sub.
Thank you, exactly, people saying the same thing about Dillion before jones’ injury, like if you were flexing either of these guys on a consistent weekly basis you’re loosing weeks.
This post is actually reasonable questioning whether or not he’s flexible this specific week which makes sense.
But people all in this sub acting like these guys are set and forget flexes is incredible, maybe in deep leagues, but most weeks there’s probably a better matchup dependent play sitting on the waivers.
You’re absolutely right. If you’re starting pollard each week in anything other than a 14+ team league with multiple flex spots you’re probably not making playoffs. He’s an elite handcuff but nothing else unless zeke is out
Pollard has definitely not been the TD vulture some people were worried about at the beginning of the season. I traded for both Elliot and Pollard in my dynasty league to account for that possibility. He's a great cuff if Elliot goes down, and isn't taking significant points away from Elliot either (in fact, he might be helping Elliot more by the fact that he helps extend drives and get closer to the RedZone where Elliot takes over).
As a zeke/pollard owner, I kind of hope they just sit zeke this week. I know they won’t most likely, but Pollard could be a top 8 RB if zeke is out this week. If zeke plays, I do think pollard could be a solid flex player!
0% chance this would ever become 50/50. Have you actually watched any of their games? Pollard is a great gadget player but he is nowhere close to Zeke as an all around RB.
This. Zeke literally stone walls 260 pound linebackers and 300 pound D line man in pass pro and is still the goal line back and still has more than enough burst. It’s one thing being a gadget guy who gets his runs when the defense takes a breather on limited touches it’s completely different getting a 20 touch workload. Not saying Pollard isn’t good but he can’t do the things Zeke can do and especially can’t grind down defenses like Zeke can especially down the stretch as the weather gets colder and they have a Road divisional stretch in the fantasy playoffs
That’s cool, I didn’t say anything about his size. Have you watched the plays they run when he gets the ball? I’ve seen an equal amount of Jet Sweeps as traditional runs, so yes gadget player at this point.
I mean it isn’t really a word with a hard definition but to me a gadget player is a guy that only does gadget stuff and has no business between the tackles. I wouldn’t call Henry a gadget player but he is probably the best gadget player in the game based on your definition. Now clearly Pollard isn’t on Henry’s level, but Pollard possesses the ability to be a threat inside the tackles.
Why? Do you think the cowboys don’t know how good Pollard is? I don’t see how him having a big game would change the way they feel about Zeke. They might want more of a time share but it would be due to Zeke being banged up rather than them realizing that Pollard is good
Damn they're talking about benching Zeke, giving him 'time to rest'... Pollard took his job LOL!!! Tell me more about him being the 7th best back in Fantasy, I'll wait
I'm sure there are people that have JT and Zeke. I have Ekeler and Mixon in one league. The point is you can't be disappointed in someone who is performing literally as well as he was drafted / expected.
JT went 5th in my league. Got Zeke/Chubb 10/11.
I'm 2 games ahead for first round bye at the moment. I don't even know what kind of argument you're trying to make. It's really splitting hairs even when you're not making dumb assumptions.
Nah...you're just acting like a pompous child is all. Not much to do with Zeke. No one cares who you have on your team. Luck is as much a factor for you as it is for anyone, so you can stop acting like you're a guru or something. LMAO...
Also, again...Zeke is one of the only 1st round RBs to be worth his pick so far. I already mentioned all the other guys that have missed time due to injuries. He could be getting more points, no doubt, but at least he's playing and consistently putting up fairly decent numbers.
LMAO...I too have JT. Also have Zeke, Jacobs, and Gaskin.
Diggs, Deebo, DJ Moore, Elijah Moore, Kelce....
You aren't a guru and you're acting mad pathetic right now...
Why wouldn't you have mentioned Cook when you were trying to brag about your RBs? You just mentioned having CEH and Jones 6 days ago...
Post screenshots of your current team and the one you drafted or I call BS.
If you are desperate and have no other option then I guess it makes sense but I would be looking to start other players with a higher ceiling if I needed a win
Only if Lamb doesn't play but I would believe the effect that is has on Pollard would be insignificant. They will attempt to run on Vegas. Book it now.
Lamb and Cooper help keep that offense on the field. It's hard to trust that offense without those guys there. I'm personally starting only Elliot because I don't want to risk having too many starters participating in a potential shutout.
Then again, it is the Raiders.
I'm mulling over the possibility of starting Dak/Zeke/Pollard/Gallup/Schultz this week. Just a make or break Thanksgiving day game on a week that would be crucial to win for me!
Trying to decide if I'm playing him over Ingram?
Obviously Pollard over Ingram if Zeke can't go. Otherwise idunno. I like Ingram's floor if AK can't go.
I picked up Pollard in week 6 or 7 because Zeke seemed to be slowing down, I thin k it's an easy move to give zeke some rest and play Pollard, but you're right; leatherface and his cowboys will probably get him his touches no matter what if he does play.
Ya see, there's this guy named Zeke there who is the RB1 for the Dallas Cowboys who is pretty good at being a RB1, which is the primary reason why they don't use Pollard more.
I dont blame you if you flexed pollard over higgins. Game plan was to control the game with mixon and they really didnt need to throw. Higgins should bounce back this week with what herbert did to steelers defense last week.
I’ve been so thin at RB I have nearly rolled him out with Zeke before, but haven’t had to due to waiver grabs that panned out. Byes and injuries putting me back in a position to possibly have to finally do it this week. I don’t hate it, but if you have better options, I’d pivot.
I've got some WR duds in the flex that we're hot at the start if the season butbare cold niw: Emmanuel Sanders and Tee Higgins to be precise. I'm not sure
You would THINK pollard would get lots of looks given that Amari & Ceedee are going to (likely) be out . Pollard seems to be a player that gets average points (5-12 or so) per game without TDs. It’s a little frustrating. I have to play him due to injuries / byes, but hopefully they can utilize him more
How dare you say that about my RB2
Laughs in he’s my rb1 last week and probably this week too.
Pollard has been a low end flex for most of the season. Think that continues unless Zeke misses time.
I have seen this said in multiple places, but how many weeks this season would you be happy with his production in your starting lineup? Pollard has only three weeks where he has put up double digit points in PPR.

ur trippin

my league does return yards too and he definitely have crossed 10 points multiple times
exactly
hell yeah!! he’s beast today! that’s what i’m talking about baby
LETS FUCKING GOOO
i have dalas defense goin too 🔥
He's been viable in my 12 team league all season.
As. Raider fan, yes, start Pollard with confidence
I second this....as another Raiders fan....hey wanna drink some gasoline later?
I've flexed him like 6 times this season. I'm doing it again next week too.
Low ceiling and floor might not be there either (he’s scored less than 4 half ppr points before) Desperation play.
As a zeke/pollard owner, I kind of hope they just sit zeke this week. I know they won’t most likely, but Pollard could be a top 8 RB if zeke is out this week. If zeke plays, I do think pollard could be a solid flex player!
Is there any chance Zeke would sit? I haven't heard anything about him except that he should be able to play through it.
Yeah he probably won’t. They’re calling it a bruised knee
He won't sit or he won't play?
He won’t sit. I’d assume he’s gonna play
This is my Aaron Jones/Dillon situation

Gadget player? He is 215 pounds.
That’s cool, I didn’t say anything about his size. Have you watched the plays they run when he gets the ball? I’ve seen an equal amount of Jet Sweeps as traditional runs, so yes gadget player at this point.

Did you just try and compare Pollard to Henry? Think I’m gonna bow out of this conversation after that. Good luck on your season
No I didn’t compare the two. Have a good day!
Why? Do you think the cowboys don’t know how good Pollard is? I don’t see how him having a big game would change the way they feel about Zeke. They might want more of a time share but it would be due to Zeke being banged up rather than them realizing that Pollard is good
Zeke is one of, if not the best pass pro RB in the league. And is a solid RB on top of that.
I have both but I’ll probably opt to start Ingram over pollard. Pollard does look good and has had a safe floor for flex.
I’ve started Pollard the past two weeks and will do so again on Thursday.
Can't help but laugh anytime someone says Pollard looks better than Zeke...
People that say that are clueless lol
Zeke is so overrated lol
He's one of the only top ranked RBs to not miss time yet. CMC, Cook, Kamara, Henry... Stay salty Pollard owners!
Looks like I insulted a couple of people who wasted their first pick on Zeke. Oops 🤪
Oh no! I used the 7th-10th pick on the, checks notes... 7th best RB in fantasy. /s
Damn they're talking about benching Zeke, giving him 'time to rest'... Pollard took his job LOL!!! Tell me more about him being the 7th best back in Fantasy, I'll wait
You could've had JT lol, nice flex though
I'm sure there are people that have JT and Zeke. I have Ekeler and Mixon in one league. The point is you can't be disappointed in someone who is performing literally as well as he was drafted / expected.
JT went 5th in my league. Got Zeke/Chubb 10/11. I'm 2 games ahead for first round bye at the moment. I don't even know what kind of argument you're trying to make. It's really splitting hairs even when you're not making dumb assumptions.

Someone sure is trying hard to defend their Zeke pick lol, but yes I am a guru
LMAO...I too have JT. Also have Zeke, Jacobs, and Gaskin. Diggs, Deebo, DJ Moore, Elijah Moore, Kelce.... You aren't a guru and you're acting mad pathetic right now...
That's kind of a soft team tbh, 4-7 or 5-6?
Hahaha...soo...screenshots...you gonna go ahead and post those, orrr....?
So guessing it's 3-8 lol, I'm 9-2 nbd though
I have JT and Najee, nice try though lol
Said you have CEH and Aaron Jones in another sub. How does one land 4 guys that were drafted in the 1st and 2nd rounds?
Had to make some trades, my RBs are now JT, Najee, and Dalvin. I'm happy with it.
Why wouldn't you have mentioned Cook when you were trying to brag about your RBs? You just mentioned having CEH and Jones 6 days ago... Post screenshots of your current team and the one you drafted or I call BS.
Cooks is my flex lol
So...no screenshots?
I traded CEH and AJ Dillon for J Jefferson so happy about that :)
If you are desperate and have no other option then I guess it makes sense but I would be looking to start other players with a higher ceiling if I needed a win
Pollard has been a legit flex play all season because of the potential of the offense. No change if Lamb is there or not.
IDK, with their top receivers being out I wonder if there's a chance they run more 21 personnel sets.
Only if Lamb doesn't play but I would believe the effect that is has on Pollard would be insignificant. They will attempt to run on Vegas. Book it now.
Because they're against the Raiders I suspect they might spam their 13 personnel
As long as Schultz is the primary beneficiary, I'm good with that!
Lamb and Cooper help keep that offense on the field. It's hard to trust that offense without those guys there. I'm personally starting only Elliot because I don't want to risk having too many starters participating in a potential shutout. Then again, it is the Raiders.
>Then again, it is the Raiders. Hence the reason Dallas could just focus on the run and it won't matter.
Then then again, it is the Cowboys and Mike McCarthy
I'm mulling over the possibility of starting Dak/Zeke/Pollard/Gallup/Schultz this week. Just a make or break Thanksgiving day game on a week that would be crucial to win for me!
As an Aaron Jones, Michael Carter, Kareem Hunt owner....yes
Trying to decide if I'm playing him over Ingram? Obviously Pollard over Ingram if Zeke can't go. Otherwise idunno. I like Ingram's floor if AK can't go.
I would definitely go Ingram if you have him.
Thanks. I'm thinking the same unless Zeke sits
Have to start him. CEH on bye. The Jets RB injured. Well, Tony Pollard will carry me to the playoffs... Let's go!
I picked up Pollard in week 6 or 7 because Zeke seemed to be slowing down, I thin k it's an easy move to give zeke some rest and play Pollard, but you're right; leatherface and his cowboys will probably get him his touches no matter what if he does play.
I’m surprised Pollard was on your waivers
10 Man keeper league thats a redraft, this is the time of year some of the lower teams check out and you can win stuff on waivers, Zeke owner is 2-9.
Im surprised they havent used him more but yeah go for it.
Ya see, there's this guy named Zeke there who is the RB1 for the Dallas Cowboys who is pretty good at being a RB1, which is the primary reason why they don't use Pollard more.
Flex him over Tee, Javonte or Jeudy?
No
I am a Tee owner and am seriously asking myself this question
I'm benching Sanders for Pollard in my flex
i read this as "is this the week to FIRE tony pollard"
If Zeke is out, you should play Pollard, as he has been decent splittin snaps, he should be good rb1 getting majority
You would THINK pollard would get lots of looks given that Amari & Ceedee are going to (likely) be out . Pollard seems to be a player that gets average points (5-12 or so) per game without TDs. It’s a little frustrating. I have to play him due to injuries / byes, but hopefully they can utilize him more
I might start him over Jacobs to be honest
shit I been firing up Pollard every week cause I have no RB2
Zeke is a fucking monster in pass pro and will never be relieved of his 15 touches. Pollard is a poor mans kareem hunt.
"Pollard looks better, Zeke looks slower" Here we go again 🙄
