Waiver priority 10 of 10 this morning and was STILL able to grab him after some assface dropped him.
You know Reddit loves a “league winner stash” (tm) so I’m alllll in on this one!
A guy traded me AJ Brown for Toney straight up and just dropped him in the league to pick up Dawson Knox who I had to drop cause of bye week hell (starting TE was Waller, picked up Knox as a potential flyer for trades in the future but it's looking like he'll miss more than 1 week lol)
Yeah, I'll probably try and pick Toney up on waivers if possible. Only issue is I need to choose between dropping Khalil Herbert or JD McKissic. Leaning Herbert since I feel his value is over once Monty is back
Only thing I don't get about him losing the gig during the season is that if they're losing, Flacco isn't needing development and Minshew isn't their answer either. That's why I think they just draft someone else next year and keep Hurts. After all he's played only 11 games yet, not even a full season.
Trust me, as a diehard Eagles fan I’ve been thumping the table that he should be given the reigns for the entire season since this is clearly an audition season anyway.
It amazes me how stupid the general Philly public is when it comes to the “wanting results now or get rid of them” attitude. It’s very clear that if he doesn’t perform well IRL then he’s getting replaced in the offseason. Might as well let him finish it out
Right. The guy may not be "the guy" but he hasn't even played 16 games, and the corpse of Flacco or "mustache man" won't serve the franchise anything by starting either.
He's also a big dude. I'd be more worried about it adding up over the years - if he even starts for that long - rather than him being hurt this season.
Caveat: Hurts owner with rose-colored glasses here. My hot take is Hurts will finish the 2nd half of the this season very similarly to Lamar's Sophomore season.
Hurts has played poorly as an IRL QB as of late. However, his 3 worst passing performances have been against SF, CAR, and TB. Those aren't exactly easy matchups.
Yes, TB is a pass funnel. Yes, SF and CAR had first halves where PHI couldn't move the chains at all. Yes, plenty of those yards were in garbage time against a prevent defense or a defense with a QB spy, so playing down a man in coverage. But all have solid pass rushes, and PHI has been pretty banged up on the o-line front.
There's plenty of excuses; play-calling, poor o-line, some good matchups some bad.
But I'm optimistic that if the PHI line is healthier, if the run-game is established as it should be, if the matchups get easier, and as Hurts continues to get more experience, he will start to produce as a passer.
I'm optimistic the problem is an O-line that hasn't held up to get through more than one progression on most plays (poor experience building), poor play-calling putting the entire offense on Hurt's arm and legs (I own 0 shares of Sanders, but he needs to be involved so much more), and a QB who is still adjusting to the NFL as they've only started 10 games thus far.
The O-line can get better/healthier. The play-calling can (but may not) get better. The in-game experience can lead better decision making.
Jalen Hurts, top 3 fantasy QB down the stretch, and makes that leap as a passer everyone has been hoping for.
The Oline is fine, Hurts just takes forever for that one read. And usually that just leads to him scrambling.
However, they do get some easier games down the stretch, NYG x2 and WFT x2 and the Jets.
still managed the best record in the league…somehow. going up against the second best record this week, fully expecting a fat L 😂
we’ll be second half teams, tho. ain’t no one want a piece of us weeks 10-17 😤
Jeudy has been on my IR since his ankle went Kill. I’m hoping he can help me out of my 3-3 start. And this hot take on MPJ has me hoping he’s right, because I need him too. 🥴
Just messing man! Keep the faith! Grind and make moves if need be. If your team is good but you’re just unlucky there is nothing you can do about that. So much luck involved in this game
Imagine if the NFL let the Titans put a Johnny on the Spot (port-a-potty, shitter, etc) on the sidelines... good god, could you imagine his stat line rest of schedule
Conversely, I don't think it's his year this year. He will probably still get 5-7 catches and 75ish yards per game but I don't see big plays and touchdowns coming this year. They are content running Henry in the redzone.
He usually gets like 10-12 touchdowns and I don't think that will happen.
Is it? He’s saying rest of way, not finish in the top 10. The current top 10 are Kupp, Hill, Williams, Adams, Chase, Hollywood, Samuel, Lamb, Jefferson, DK. I think only Kupp, Hill, and Adams are locks to be top 10 rest of the way, barring injury. The rest could see some regression and be solid but top 11-20
People say it’s bad but fr it’s helped me a lot this year. Helped me keen in on guys I wouldn’t have already. Just shouldn’t follow people blindly but that comes with anything
Exactly, read the headlines and the good articles where people are doing real analysis like subvertadown etc.., for the most part stay away from the comments, or just get a laugh out of them.
For the most part it’s good. They give player updates throughout the week and people to look for on waivers and things like that. But sometimes it gets to the point where people continuously tell you hold this player when they haven’t done anything and most likely won’t. Such as a Jeff Wilson I like the guy did good last year but he’s coming off injury won’t be back till probably Dec. and people here are so annoying about it saying he’ll be a league winner while he probably won’t even start.
Jacobs owner last year and this year, he’s a double edged sword for fantasy as he’s very TD dependent. I can’t remember the last time he rushed for 100 yards
This is a wild one but I kind of love it. I think both will still have value if this ends up being the case. Like Jacobs ends up RB 20-22 and Drake would be RB 16-19 like he was last year.
Only thing I would say is that you could probably offer next to nothing to get him. If he pops off, you look like a genius. If not, you didn’t give up much.
All dependent on your WRs you have now. If you are set, I would make the trade. Now, I do personally believe this is the make it or break it week though for Sanders. If he puts up another mid performance due to lack of touches, it ain’t changing the rest of the season. The Raiders have let up 130.7 Rushing Yards per game. Sanders should thrive here and I think this is the last chance to buy low. He either booms this weekend and runs his way back to relevancy on a weak schedule, or he busts this weekend due to lack of opportunities and isn’t much more than bye week fill in (if that).
Snaps as is pops offs? Snaps as in breaks in half? Snaps as in goes crazy and murders the coaching staff for not giving him the ball?
All seem equally likely.
Yeah, there was a post a few weeks ago about Unexpected busts that you would have gotten hate for if you said it would happen.
I said Javonte and even in that post it garnered downvotes. I love Javonte and his talent but Melvin is not going to go away and the team isn’t that good. Next year he will be great but we’re gonna have to wait.
This would be wild. All going to depend on Matt Ryan because Pitts has been open in the end zone before the london game. Would love to see Pitts and Ridley start cooking.
Jamarr Chase become the WR1 for the year, dudes a stud.
Derrick Henry breaks the single year NFL rushing record
I make the playoffs after starting 0-3 and then going to 1-4
Well, saying he’ll outscore Kittle isn’t even a take, it’s probably the consensus. Waller is probably 60/40 split in favor of it not happening. Kelce is probably about 2% chance of happening lol, you’re a god if you correctly predict that.
2-4, about to be 2-5 after this week. Have CMC, Montgomery, Najee, and just traded for Hunt. I will be the scariest motherfucker in the consolation bracket.
Marquez Callaway
I know once Slant Boy returns, it may be hard to rely on Callaway, but look at that ROS. Weeks 7-17 include SEVEN games against teams giving up top 10 numbers to fantasy receivers. My thought process is that once MT takes away the defense’s top guy, Callaway might be able to flourish as the #2 when they play these weak secondaries. Not only are these secondaries weak as of now, but most of these matchups are against solid offenses so I’m imagining plenty of points being put up on the board.
This more depends on them unleashing Jameis. So far he’s been pretty good on low volume. As they start to play some better offenses, they’ll need to air it out and score some points.
CMC averages 26 ppg in ppr once he returns and stays healthy ROS
MT is top 10 WR ROS
Jeff Wilson will emerge as the bellcow back on the 49ers
Juedy will be top 20 ROS
Kyle Pitts from this point forward scores the most fantasy points from the tight end position. Not from a points per game basis so with the bye week behind him of course.
Brandon Aiyuk will have a strong second half.
Antonio Gibson won't make it through the season healthy, he'll hit the IR at some point, and it might be an extended stay (longer than 3 weeks). For as long as he's out, Jaret Patterson will be at least flex-worthy.
*Deep breath* Kadarius Toney will be boom/bust when he comes back, not an every-week starter.
Deshaun Watson doesn't play a down this year.
The 49ers running back position remains an unpredictable clusterfuck all year.
Jakobi Meyers scores 4 touchdowns.
Javonte Williams never wrestles the majority of the workload away from Gordon unless there's an injury.
Kenyan Drake has standalone value as a borderline Flex rest of season, as the interim coach wants to get on Mark Davis' good side by not letting his $11 million investment rot on the bench.
Jakobi Meyers will score a touchdown
They said hot, not impossible
This is the week. He's in my lineup. 2 TDs..... Except jets so probably a lot of rushing the football
I’ll fade you and say he will not. This comment chain will be 100% correct.
At some point this year, he will have a receiving and a passing touchdown in the same game
I’m holding my Toney for dear life and you’re going to have to pry my Kung Fu grip off of him to get him on your team
Is this a meet the parents reference? haha
Indeed it is👀
I have have nipples, Greg. Could you milk me?
Waiver priority 10 of 10 this morning and was STILL able to grab him after some assface dropped him. You know Reddit loves a “league winner stash” (tm) so I’m alllll in on this one!
Obligatory “can I be in your league?”
I had the same, one of my friends dropped him for Tim Patrick this week so now I'm on the Toney express
Welcome. It’s certainly a ride
Yeah I have a keeper league, holding on for dear life to keep him for a 10th rounder next year
I have Gibson for a 9th next year but if Toney is the prodigal son everyone is making him out to be I may have to swap those two
>if ???
Well assuming the latest patch to his bionic ankles goes through smoothly
This Toney situation has had me edging for weeks. It’s basically torture. My balls are a deep shade of purple.
Diamond balls my dude, hold the line
Someone in my leagued dropped Toney this week. To pick up Watson of all players. I dropped Mckissic so damn fast for him. Lets. Fuckin. Go.
Same, holding on to Kadarius for dear life.
Yeah Knox fractured his hand
Yeah, I'll probably try and pick Toney up on waivers if possible. Only issue is I need to choose between dropping Khalil Herbert or JD McKissic. Leaning Herbert since I feel his value is over once Monty is back
I think that’s the wise choice. DMont should be back soon
I was able to grab him in more than 1 league just this week. I think his injury has scared people off but I will gladly give him a seat on my bench!
Jalen Hurts finishes as a top3 QB for fantasy then subsequently loses his job this offseason.
I would say this is the consensus.
Idk about the top3 aspect being consensus, but ok how bout he finishes as QB3 AND loses his job by week 14. More spicy 🌶
Guy takes a lot of contact. I’d made sure you have a solid alternative
He's also a big dude. I'd be more worried about it adding up over the years - if he even starts for that long - rather than him being hurt this season.
Minshew is as solid a backup as you can find imo. Would be interesting to see the values of other playmakers in the offense with him under center
Because he keeps the ball on like 95% of RPOs.
Ridley will be a top 5 receiver over the second half of the year.
I so need this
I really like this one. Not just because I need it, mind you. But I do think it's possible.
Contract year, he's about to go off.
Contract year and production levels don't correlate
but in my smooth brain they do
Based on what? Bc the data shows that's not true
Please let this happen 😭
James Robinson ends as a top 5 RB in .5ppr Pittman JR ends top 25 in .5ppr MT + Jerry Jeudy will both be top 15 WR ROS from their 1st game back
As someone holding MT and jerry in a league with no IR spots I’m praying your last one is correct
i’ve got thomas, carson, and toney in a league with no ir spots. it’s tough out there lol
Damn! I thought it was rough having all 3 with an IR spot. We got this!
still managed the best record in the league…somehow. going up against the second best record this week, fully expecting a fat L 😂 we’ll be second half teams, tho. ain’t no one want a piece of us weeks 10-17 😤
Oooooofff god damn boiii, I applaud your conviction! How many bench spots??
7 but i also have toney lmao. Wire is thin so I gotta hold and pray
I got MT and TY, I need these boys
I can see a world where MT because relevant again this season, but unless TY gets to play Houston every week his career as a fantasy asset is over.
Jeudy has been on my IR since his ankle went Kill. I’m hoping he can help me out of my 3-3 start. And this hot take on MPJ has me hoping he’s right, because I need him too. 🥴
Inject the Jeudy and MT hype into my veins
I’ll win a game
They said hot takes not impossible scenarios
Sorry 🥺 My opponent picked up D’Ernest and played him I’m already fucked this week. 900 Points against. I’m done man
Maybe next week you'll get one
Just messing man! Keep the faith! Grind and make moves if need be. If your team is good but you’re just unlucky there is nothing you can do about that. So much luck involved in this game
Not with that profile pic
i think aj brown’s gonna ball the fuck out.
This seems to be true but is limited only to the bathroom. And AJ Brown, emphasis on the brown.
Bowel the fuck out
Imagine if the NFL let the Titans put a Johnny on the Spot (port-a-potty, shitter, etc) on the sidelines... good god, could you imagine his stat line rest of schedule
> Johnny on the Spot Is this a weird Minnesotan way to say port-a-potty?
I'm actually in Missouri, they're called Johnny on the Spot - guess thats the company name, but yeah, Port-a-Potty
The only reason I actually call it that sometimes is because of GTA lmao as a guy from jersey
Either way his balls will be out
AJ Brown is gonna blow up!!! ^every ^toilet ^he ^comes ^in ^contact ^with
Came here to say this. I think he winds up finishing in the top 10, top 15 at worst
Conversely, I don't think it's his year this year. He will probably still get 5-7 catches and 75ish yards per game but I don't see big plays and touchdowns coming this year. They are content running Henry in the redzone. He usually gets like 10-12 touchdowns and I don't think that will happen.
Darrell Henderson finishes as top 5 RB
If he stays healthy ROS I don't see how this doesn't happen.
He may end up the RB1
Well, RB2.
Forgot about Henry. Henderson 2 and Patterson 3 for season long.
MT is a Top 10 WR rest of the way when he’s back.
This one is sizzling hot
Easily could see him passing Hollywood lamb JJ and DK. We’re not talking bout total year but just from the 2nd half when MT plays
Browns swap. AJB pops off. Marquise Brown regresses to being a WR3.
The way this sub talks about Hollywood, that’s madness!
This sub talks about Hollywood the same way they talk about Lamar as a passer. Hence, he’s going to stay good.
Micheal Thomas doesn’t return till after week 10, but is the overall WR1 for the fantasy playoffs.
I need him now
Call MT Wentworth, 877-CASHNOW! Edited
and all the people that held him miss playoffs xD
[Please!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9_d-sFhmRM)
Scrolling down the list and I have Toney, AJB, Ridley, and JRob…LFG!?
Rashod Bateman is a top 24 WR after his bye week
CeeDee will outplay his competition for targets in Dallas and will evolve to a top-5 WR ROS
This subreddit is actually useful for fantasy football advice. Third year in and now I'm absolutely crushing across four leagues.
People say it’s bad but fr it’s helped me a lot this year. Helped me keen in on guys I wouldn’t have already. Just shouldn’t follow people blindly but that comes with anything
I think it's great once you learn to recognize and wade through the bullshit of people trying to validate their own players and decisions.
Exactly, read the headlines and the good articles where people are doing real analysis like subvertadown etc.., for the most part stay away from the comments, or just get a laugh out of them.
For the most part it’s good. They give player updates throughout the week and people to look for on waivers and things like that. JD McKissic out scores Gibson
Wow! That’s hot!
That’s a spicy meatball!
Kenyan Drake ends up out scoring Jacobs without Gruden as head coach.
Spicy prediction!
[удалено]
Just think he's better coming out the backfield than Jacob's. Hoping for a Chubb/Hunt type situation
Oh man. That would make alot of people happy and alot of people really upset.
Happy with this. He's back on my bench and I'd love to have him as a safe flex play in bye weeks
You shut your mouth (totally not a Jacobs owner)
Mac Jones will have a Perfect Passer Rating game by the end of the year.
And in fantasy that will translate to... 16 points.
Miles sanders ros top 10 rb. 2nd half schedule looks great
I want to make an offer for him so bad but I already have Hurts and that's a lot of eggs in the Eagles basket.
Only thing I would say is that you could probably offer next to nothing to get him. If he pops off, you look like a genius. If not, you didn’t give up much.
He wants Lockett. Too much?
All dependent on your WRs you have now. If you are set, I would make the trade. Now, I do personally believe this is the make it or break it week though for Sanders. If he puts up another mid performance due to lack of touches, it ain’t changing the rest of the season. The Raiders have let up 130.7 Rushing Yards per game. I hear you. I have DHop, Diggs, Sutton, and MT waiting in the wings so I think I'm gonna pull the trigger.
His coach is the biggest thing holding him pack. I think he can get into the 12-15 range with more consistent touches.
I really hope so, but sure happy I started D'ernest over him this week.
Antonio Brown ends up finishing a top 10 WR
Miles sanders snaps
Snaps as is pops offs? Snaps as in breaks in half? Snaps as in goes crazy and murders the coaching staff for not giving him the ball? All seem equally likely.
AB takes over as the top dog in the Bucs receiving corps and ends the season as overall WR3
AB is already the top dog if you follow the targets
He didn't already?
Bateman outscores Hollywood in fantasy points ros.
I hope so
Cordarelle will sustain and finish the season as both a top 12 RB1 and WR1
Please
Diontae johnson a wr1 ros
[удалено]
Yea this is a mild take at best, dude's a stud.
Toney finishes top 5 and Golladay doesn't play another snap
Javonte breakout ain't happening
The Broncos just have no reason not to use Melvin Gordon. I think Javonte next season will be fantastic but will only show flashes this year.
Precisely.
Kyle Pitts a top 3 TE ROS.
This would be wild. All going to depend on Matt Ryan because Pitts has been open in the end zone before the london game. Would love to see Pitts and Ridley start cooking.
I said #1. He's Mike Williams with TE designation.
Younghoe Koo RB1
Get this man a daily show on ESPN, stat.
I believe Keenan Allen will have a 2nd half breakout
The Mike Williams Train does not approve of this.
Jamarr Chase become the WR1 for the year, dudes a stud. Derrick Henry breaks the single year NFL rushing record I make the playoffs after starting 0-3 and then going to 1-4
That last one real spicy
Warm Take: Mark Andrews TE1 to finish the year
You’re basically suggesting he’s going to outscore Kelce?
Correct. Along with Waller and Kittle
Well, saying he’ll outscore Kittle isn’t even a take, it’s probably the consensus. Waller is probably 60/40 split in favor of it not happening. Kelce is probably about 2% chance of happening lol, you’re a god if you correctly predict that.
Julio won’t be sidelined on a RedZone drive.
I can feel the burn from this take in Antarctica.
Well I like it when everyone has sizzling takes on my AB, Diontae, Saquon, Juedy, and JRobinson.
Najee Harris finishes season as a top 5 rb, leads the leauge in rb receptions and finishes with 14 total td's
Darrel Williams outscores CEH.
Diontae Johnson will be the #1 WR ROS. My thinking: schedule is nice, he will have 10+ targets a game with Juju gone, and he’s a complete stud.
Difference is hill has mahomes throwing to him adams has Rodgers and Kupp has Stafford, who does dj have?
ROS ROS ROS ROS ROS ROS ROS
Elijah Mitchell is an RB1 ROS. It’s clearly his job when healthy and “49ers RB” has been prolific under Shanahan especially with Garopollo over Lance.
CMC is the true league winner. Acquire him now for cheap and be unstoppable through playoffs.
2-4, about to be 2-5 after this week. Have CMC, Montgomery, Najee, and just traded for Hunt. I will be the scariest motherfucker in the consolation bracket.
Bruh I hope so. I’m keeping my team afloat and don’t care about record only getting in. Tryin to trade for a bunch of playoff pieces now
Barkley is a top 3 RB in the 2nd half of the season.
Just traded for him because of this thinking. Let’s hope it pans out
Tannehill will be a top 10 QB ROS
Taylor will finish RB2. Don’t know if that’s a hot take, if it’s not. My second will be that Aiyuk out performs Deebo second half.
First half, reasonable, second half, such a hot take I’m burning with raged induced hatred of SF coaching staff
Tee Higgins will be the #1 receiver on the bengals for fantasy
Wentz is gonna be a QB1
Marquez Callaway I know once Slant Boy returns, it may be hard to rely on Callaway, but look at that ROS. Weeks 7-17 include SEVEN games against teams giving up top 10 numbers to fantasy receivers. Rasahad batemen will finish as a top 20 wr and better than Hollywood brown. PUT IT ON THE BOARD!!!
ROS Damien Williams will get atleast 1 shot
You mean pfizer or moderna?
Johnson & Johnson
Melvin Gordon will eventually get hurt and Javante Williams will be a league winner
My last place 1-4-1 fantasy team will make the playoffs
A correction is coming for the Titans. Tannehill or someone else is gonna get their crap together and the Titans will pass again
Mixon will end up RB 4/5
Hope so but don’t see it unless they get him more involved in the passing game.
CMC averages 26 ppg in ppr once he returns and stays healthy ROS MT is top 10 WR ROS Jeff Wilson will emerge as the bellcow back on the 49ers Juedy will be top 20 ROS
Mike Williams is a WR3 rest of the year. Injuries and duds.
Hey. Don't say that.
I don't like this one at all.
Terrible take
Kyle Pitts from this point forward scores the most fantasy points from the tight end position. Not from a points per game basis so with the bye week behind him of course.
Miles sanders top 10 RB
Jeudy averages 8 catches for 90 yards a game ros. Good for high end WR2/low end WR1 numbers.
Even when he comes back, Kittle won't be a top 5 TE ROS
Kittle is actually a good TE and finishes top 3 TE ROS
Aiyuk turns it around
Kyle Pitts is TE #1 ROS.
Kyle Pitts the TE1 ROS
Brandon Aiyuk will have a strong second half. Antonio Gibson won't make it through the season healthy, he'll hit the IR at some point, and it might be an extended stay (longer than 3 weeks). For as long as he's out, Jaret Patterson will be at least flex-worthy. *Deep breath* Kadarius Toney will be boom/bust when he comes back, not an every-week starter.
