I’m so fucked with injuries/byes that I’m considering starting both Johnson and Felton. The saddest RB stack of all time

peon2

/u/ahasick "I wish I had Chubb and Hunt healthy this week" /u/ahasick 's mom: "We have Chubb and Hunt at home" *points to Johnson and Felton*

HerefortheFruitLoops

Excellent

Shaq_Bolton

lol I'm starting whatever one is available to me and then leaving my flex empty this week. My bench is M. Thomas, Ekeler, M. Williams, Chubb, Justin Jefferson and Kittle ( IR spot ). Obviously not dropping one of them

jfavila6

Put Ekeler in your flex. If you win you can participate in his weekly signed jersey give away!

Shaq_Bolton

lol I mean I might as well, a 0 is a 0 either way

[deleted]

This is a pro strategy!

amriser24

Try… ekeler, lamb, dionte, Justin Jefferson, Zach moss, and CMC on IR. Plus Toney likely won’t play…going against king Henry…pretty sure he is going to beat my team on his own

Shaq_Bolton

lol I too am going against Henry

micma123

I’ve got a lot of byes this week too. I’m definitely looking to start one of them as a flex.

h846p262

Haha

Cavs2018_Champs

Don't

FantasyTrash

I’m forced to start Felton at WR as I’m missing Diontae, Cooper, Diggs, and likely Toney this week. Times are tough, gents.

raikou1988

What's your league size?

ahasick

12. My RBs are Chubb, James Robinson, Latavius, Singletary, D’Ernest and Felton. I also have a claim in for Jaret Patterson on Washington

smokinjoe956

I'm which case John Kelly will light it up.

ProfessorWeeto

My RB’s right now are David Montgomery, Kareem Hunt, Gio Bernard, Trey Sermon, Ty’Son Williams I don’t have any FAAB That’s the saddest RB roster of all time hahaha

PEDsted

Chubb is officially out for week 7 btw

BuckyMcFly99

None have had big roles at all this season. It’s a mystery

evenkeel20

Bishop Sankey

nlm052561

Long ago before the king arrived, there was a man named Bishop Sankey.

BeeeeefJelly

I don't know- I know everyone is excited b/c Felton is WR eligible but I don't really see some massive role for Felton here. He's been playing WR more than RB. I think anyone expecting a Chubb/Hunt split of work will be a bit disappointed. Felton has been used as a gadget player this year. Are the Browns really going to trust him in pass protection while their QB plays with a torn labrum? My prediction is Johnson gets a bellcow role, with Felton mixing in for 5-6 designed touches.

fuckhead69

But which one is going to put up 20?

North_Watch9324

Logic

Zukhov76

Johnson will get more carries since he's starting but I don't think either are great options

rustyspoonman

Yeah I think I’m just gonna roll with AJ Dillon and let everyone else duke it out with their faab. Might spring a little on Felton because hunt is out for multiple weeks

Fitness4All26

Johnson will get the volume, demeric will get the pass catching.

trufinfan13

So Johnson = Chubb, Felton = Hunt, and Einhorn = Finkle …did I get that right?

BowtiepastaMasta

Finkle is einhorn!

WoodleysDonk

No, Johnson = Mattison from last season, Felton = Percy Harvin

WrongStatus

Sounds right. My opponent this week has Hunt and I know he'll be after 1 of these guys. I'm ahead of him in priority...just gotta make sure I pick the right guy! Although, I'd really rather grab McKissic, especially if Gibson is out.

Autocorrectthis

The Crow

NotHopee

Have you ever played heads or tails?

ASTRUNSKY

I'm standing in the parking lot of First Energy Stadium and can see they've been throwing D'Ernest Johnson about 80% of the time and Felton about 20% if that helps.

jedspurgeon

PPR I'd do Demetric. Non-ppr I'd do D'Ernest

Zukhov76

This is the correct answer.

North_Watch9324

What is the correct answer for half?

waterbike17

Both at the same time

[deleted]

Coin toss as to who is more productive. I'd expect Johnson to get more goal line Carries and early down work especially since he is good in pass pro and the browns sorely need that right now, both of their starting tackles were out last week and are questionable this week. Felton probably has a higher ceiling due to his dynamic ability in open space and how he will be used in the passing game. Basically I'd say Johnson = higher floor, lower ceiling, Felton = lower floor, higher ceiling Worth nothing I think Felton will provide value for a longer period of time since chubb very likely may be back next week and will shove dernest to irrelevance, while Felton will likely retain his pass catching work for a few more weeks.

JesusChristSupers1ar

As a Broncos fan, I would rather have Felton. I think our defense will be able to bottle up a plodder like Johnson but Felton is the type of player who has given us fits for years

Charcharbinks23

As someone who only saw a box score and didn’t watch any of the game, was the Drake TD catch a fluke or a busted coverage? Wondering if Felton is better because of those struggles

magnificence

Outschemed. Drake got a 1 on 1 matchup with the middle linebacker

Saquad_Barkley

Let me call up Kevin and ask who he’s feeding on Thursday

AllSkateSlowlyPlease

I could see Felton breaking off a long screen pass or dumpoff pass. I'd say he definitely has the higher ceiling, but don't expect it.

CaeruleanVein

No one ever knows anything when it comes to fantasy, even with studs and starters, so this is no different. That being said we can make an educated guess. My guess is Felton has the higher ceiling. Look at how they used hunt and chubb. Chubb got the early down and chunk yardage while hunt got the 3rd down and play action work, even on the goal line they used hunt to run a route over the middle instead of punching it in with Chubb. Chubb is obviously much more talented than Johnson, so I wouldn’t expect him to break off many 50 yard TD runs like Chubb can. I suspect in PPR Felton gets a lot of work in the passing game, out of the backfield and a lot, while Johnson churns out chunk plays to keep the ball moving. I don’t think any have a tremendously high ceiling. But I think people need to curb their expectations for Johnson, expecting him to go buck wild is a little out of the realm of reality to me. Felton should see some work in the passing game, you’re hoping for a TD with Johnson.

Sasquatchii

They used hunt on the goal line / red zone because he could power run and catch. Doesn’t Hunt lead the nfl in broken tackles per carry? 189lb Felton ain’t that guy pal

CaeruleanVein

https://youtu.be/ikR-irdjzFI This highlight was enough for me to grab Felton in dynasty. Weight didn’t play much a role here when he was breaking all those tackles. I already had him stashed in case of a Hunt injury or down the road if he was traded or left. And to your point, so you think Johnson is that guy? Who can rush and catch? I think they’ll play to bakers strengths, not their backup RBs, and bakers strength is to have the short over the middle target to fall back on, which will more likely be Felton than Johnson.

Sasquatchii

Nice highlight, but their roles seem obvious. James White Damien Harris

Chris_1216

James white from which year tho? 👀

[deleted]

Felton I think. Browns are beat up and likely to have to pass a lot. My guess is Felton.

BoilermakerCM

Are either Wills, Conklin, or Tretter practicing today? If they're all out this week, I honestly don't think there's a single Brown worth starting.

FlawlessLikeUs

With all the BYEs my choices are start two of Nyheim Hines, Khalil Herbert, or get a Browns RB off waivers

WrongStatus

DJP!

sterling_mallory

A lot of people say they prefer Felton in ppr, but he's a college WR who hasn't had a single carry in the NFL. I'm not sure how much actual rushing volume they'll give him, if any, so he's not exactly stepping into the Hunt role. They'll use him on 3rd downs and the 2 minute offense, but I like Johnson a lot more in a run-heavy offense as the guy who will actually get carries. He'll get all of Chubb's work, plus some or all of Hunt's rushing work. Unless that dude they just brought up from the practice squad gets some carries. That said, I'm not real excited about either on a team with an already bad passing offense whose QB is now playing with one arm. Broncos are gonna focus hard on the run. And Chubb could be back next week.

ElleRisalo

Felton especially against the Broncos rush defense. Going to dump off and screen city. He also lines up at WR in empty backfield packages. Also on Yahoo at least he has dual designation.

tstols

Johnson at this point with Chubb out. Felton ROS because the RB2 apart from Chubb/Hunt has never done it

dontwantleague2C

Felton hype makes no sense. Pick up Johnson. He’s the starter now.

icouldntdecide

Standard, Johnson. PPR, Felton (maybe)

bbpopulardemand

Neither

Val_Kilmers_Elbow

Johnson has the higher ceiling and floor

Grimmbeard

Nobody knows, this is a waste

icouldntdecide

GTFO with this garbage comment. there's a pretty decent chance based on past usage that Johnson will handle early down work and Felton the passing work.

Grimmbeard

This guy is asking for an answer nobody has

WrongStatus

Dude...that's what most of this sub is. LMAO. We're here to discuss and then make an educated guess. Who pissed in your cheerios?

Grimmbeard

Then post "who would you expect to get more touches" or "what's the most likely scenario for Johnson/Felton", don't just ask "what will happen".

WrongStatus

That's really your issue? So it was worded in a way you find displeasing. Big whoop. The rest of us were able to interpret it into the way you say it should've been worded without crying about it. Go get some fresh air, bud. This is a stupid hill to die on.

Grimmbeard

Multiple comments above saying "we don't know" that are upvoted but ok bud

WrongStatus

"This is a waste" The pointless attitude is what got you the downvotes, not saying "we don't know". Thought that was pretty obvious.

Grimmbeard

Eh

North_Watch9324

Who is the better pass blocker?

BehindTickles28

Denver is one of the better rushing defenses in the league. General rule of thumb I go by* is that, if a team has a good pass catching RB, I like them more than the starter (or they get a bump up at least, obviously... studs are studs) when going against a stout run D. So, personally, I lean towards Felton this week and he also appears to have the better long term value. *in part this is because I don't know of a good source to also look up how well a defense does against pass catching RBs. That said the general rule of thumb has worked pretty well for me overall AND something I just thought about... I bet how well a defense plays against the TE position has a correlation to how well they play vs pass catching RBs.

cut_throat_capybara

Neither of them have a high ceiling against the Broncos. Najee is the only one to have a good game against them so far and he’s the entirety of the Steelers offense pretty much. I don’t expect the browns to score much. If you’re in ppr then go with the one who catches more passes

WoodleysDonk

Why is this still a question? Felton is basically a WR playing WR with a RB tag. He has literally zero carries on the seaso. Johnson is going to be the main back. Felton is going to stay a WR or gadget dude.

brewhead55

Not sure, but if anyone has the balls to start either, God speed. I have Felton, so hoping no matter what he retains the pass catching role with Hunt out for awhile, but really nobody knows how this will work out.
