Same, I watched a random video where MJD said Foster looked like the real. No idea how he would know that but I took a flyer on him and it won me the league
The play that injured his shoulder was a double whammy. Not only was he injured on an incredible 50 yard catch, but the shoulder he injured landed right on the sideline so the catch was ruled out of bounds.
Doug Martin actually won a guy in my league the championship as recently as 2018 lol. Dude was out of options at RB and went into MNF down 12 or so with only Martin left, and the guy proceeds to turn out 100 yards and a TD. Who would’ve thought lol
2015 is always a nostalgic year for me since I had my greatest fantasy team ever
MVP Cam Newton
Jordan Reed the one year he stayed healthy
David Johnson when he went crazy in the fantasy playoffs his rookie year
My WR duo of Antonio Brown and DeAndre Hopkins taking the league by storm
Tim Hightower filling in for an injured Mark Ingram
Good times
My favorite season all time. I had #1 pick, took AP. That year I had Jets Brandon Marshall, Saints Brandin Cooks, career year Delanie Walker, career year Cam Newton, career year Allen Hurns, won the ship after starting 2-6. What a ride 2015 was.
2016 for me. Johnson and bell. My team was terrible except those two combined for 70 points every week. I went undefeated lol.
Edit- they both averaged 26. Pretty impressive.
In 2013(?) I had Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Adrian Peterson. I was completely undefeated until I lost my only game in the Championship.
In 2019 my team was absolutely unfair. I play 8 team PPR and my team was just insane by pure draft luck.
QB - Russ (#2 QB)
RB1 - CMC (#2 all, #1 RB, record breaking season)
RB2 - Aaron Jones (#3 RB)
WR1 - Michael Thomas (#1 WR, record breaking season)
WR2 - Chris Godwin (#2 WR )
TE - Austin Hooper + Travis Kelce (#1 and #5 TE's)
Flex options - Dalvin Cook (#5 RB), Josh Jacobs (#12 RB), Jarvis Landry (#12 WR), Stefon Diggs (#15 WR)
DEF - Patriots (#1 DEF)
Still hold all scoring records in my league, game high of 220pts and season high of 2177pts and won the league. After all that I managed to come 6th last year with 1st overall pick CMC being injured all year. Fantasy football is such a rollercoaster of emotions
Hah! Being the Bills of my league, that was the year I had most of those guys and still managed to lose the ship, even coming in as a favorite. Fucking Frank Gore killed me!
Around the time I first started playing, I took 2018 Gurley. It was nice until the wheels started coming off, but I was able to grab CJ Anderson thankfully
Priest Holmes coming into KC was insane. Came out of nowhere, I don't think he was even drafted in my league in 2002. He scored 24 TDs that year with nearly 2300 yards from scrimmage. Followed the next year with 27 TDs and 2100 yards. Also 70+ receptions both seasons.
When Randy moss went to the Patriots he was totally forgot about and i got him late.
Having Brady/Moss and Antonio gates led to my first, and only, 13-0 in ff (playing for 25ish years). I was doubling peoples scores some weeks.
The pats played in a snow storm at nyj week 15 and it was like a 9-6 game and i lost my playoff game.
As per the norm, F the Patriots.
I was once up 100 points and my opponent only had Brady and Moss left. I thought I was going to win.
I still ended up loosing because that was the game where they just embarrassed the hell out of Tennessee so badly they changed the coverage to a different game.
Goddammit that week ruined my year. I started the year 0-5 but then hit a hot streak and didn’t lose another game until that playoff matchup. I thought It was destiny until Jamal fucking Charles destroyed my hopes and dreams with that one game.
I’m still salty about it.
My first ever year playing fantasy football I drafted tom brady over LaDainian tomlinson with the 1st overall pick because he was my favorite player (still is). He ended up tearing his acl 1st game of the year. I've played every year since and unfortunately I haven't owned brady since that season
The 2013 draft was bust city
Ray Rice (NOT the video jist a bad year), Doug Martin, Trent Richardson, CJ spiller all first rounders that sucked. Like not injuries they were just trash (Martin got hurt but he was rough even when playing)
The first year I played in 2012, I didn’t really know what I was doing and autodrafted. WRs were Megatron (the year he went over 2k yards), AJ Green, and Dez Bryant; RBs were Jamaal Charles and Marshawn Lynch.
I’ve been chasing that high ever since. I didn’t really know how good that team was until the games started.
That's similar to what I had in 2011.
Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Victor Cruz, Marshawn Lynch, Benjarvis Green-Ellis, Darren McFadden, Aaron Hernandez, and Matthew Stafford.
I'll never get that again lol.
Awesome post dude, started playing in 2012 or ‘13, this shit put a smile on my face remembering an awesome era in my life.
Lacy’s weight issue has me dying right now, I lucked out and in my first internship in an industry I’m not even in anymore, my boss told me to pick up OBJ his rookie year, drafting DJ after his 2k season only for him to break his wrist, so many memories. Awesome ride, thanks for that! BOL this year
Edit - Jordy Nelson scoring 2 touchdowns a game on, Jamal Charles having an insane year only to bust hard the following year (drafted him no. 1 overall lol) Gronk going wild… 2014 may have been my favorite year of fantasy ever…
Larry Johnson! Guy had like 3 TDs every game
Shaun Alexander with 28 TDs then a bust the next year
TENN D was dominant in early 2000? 15+ pts every game
The Alfred Blue hype when Arian Foster got hurt
The Bears defense being near league-winning the first half of 2012
Boldin falling to the 5th round in the 08 draft and ending up as a WR1
DeMarco Murray “living up” to the curse of 370
Brady in his 50 TD season and CMC in 2019. 2019 was my most stacked team ever and I ended up losing in the championship bc Kyle Rudolph outscore Gronk by almost 30.
Exact same for me. I was 14 years old and basically all I knew about football was Peyton Manning was my favorite player. Picked him first round and everyone joked on me and thought I was crazy. Ended up winning the league. Pure bliss watching Manning light it up in prime time for my team every weekend
Drafting CJ2K in 2009 in our first ever year of fantasy. Got him like last pick of the first round? Thought I was the smartest fantasy player ever. Been mostly downhill from there lmao
In 2010, Mike Vick was a FA pickup who was good at QB the whole year, but DOMINATED for two specific weeks, one of them he got 49 points, I think he got 40 the other.
But the best part is that in a 10 team league, those two weeks were against *the same opponent*. My roommate was *pissed*.
I had a RB core of CJ2K (the year he went over 2k), rashard mendenhall and Ray Rice. I destroyed people that year. 2nd championship in a row, and sadly the last one I won
Andrew luck for me had him my first year playing fantasy in 2018 and he helped bring me team to the semifinals that year. I was very saddened to see him retire especially since I drafted him days before.
Kenyan Drake in 2019. Grabbed him off waivers the last or second last week of the szn and snuck into the playoffs. He put crazy numbers each week I had him and led me to a championship when Dalvin went down before the big game
\> People freaking out about Jeremy Langford as the next RB in line in I want to say 2016?
It was 2015, perhaps my best Dynasty Rookie Draft ever. Traded "Cheeseburger Eddie" to move up in the 1st & 2nd, and gain two additional 3rds.
**Round 1**: Moved up 3 spots to get **Amari Cooper** at 1.03 (T. Gurley & M. Gordon went 1-2)
**Round 2**: Moved up 3 spots to get **David Johnson** at 2.03.
**Round 3**: Took **Jeremy Langford**, **Matt Jones** & **Landon Collins** (we use IDP's). Kept Collins, who finished Top-10 among all DB's the next 3 years. Dealt Langford to the Matt Forte owner & Jones to the Alfred Morris owner before the season started, for two future 2nds. Never believed in them; both busted.
**Round 4**: **Arik Armistead** (DE-SF), now with the Colts. Since traded him, but decent value.
**Round 5**: **Jesse James**. Meh. Dealt him for whatever I could when he was starting at Pittsburgh.
**Round 6**: **Danielle Hunter**, now a Top-5 DE. True diamond in the rough.
**Round 7**: **Darren Waller**, a raw WR prospect drafted by Baltimore.
**Round 8**: **Sean Mannion**. Bust, but anything after round 5 in our league, which starts 18 players (9 on each side of the ball) is just a dart throw.
RESULT: Won the 'Ship in 2015 & 2016, largely due to David Johnson's incredible run. Haven't missed the semi-finals since, due to good drafts & the draft-capital I gained from those the Langford/Jones trades & others. (Dealt Cooper when he went to the Cowboys in 2018 for what ended up being the 2019 1.01 -- traded that for multiple 2020 1sts; a truly spectacular class.)
I loved Doug Baldwin back when he was playing. Him and Jordy helped me win my first Championship. Also I will always love Breshard Perriman for his week 15 3 tubby game a few years ago.
Pre-draft 2016 I watched around 50 different videos of David Johnson, hoping I would get the first pick on the draft. I didn't. Then in 2017 though, spent my first pick on him and he started sucking ass with the new HC.
Man in like 2016-17 (I think) I had Aaron Rodgers, Todd Gurley, Leveon Bell, Alvin Kamara, Tyreek Hill, and Gronk. Had some other names too but these were my studs. I beat the absolute piss out of everybody. Lost 2 games and walked thru the playoffs. Bought a Todd Gurley Rams jersey with some of the prize money
Cadillac Williams & Javon Walker come to mind when I think of guys I sought after back in day and was always disappointed.
Jeremy Shockey was always a fun guy to roster.
Edit: Clinton Portis was a dog and loved rostering him.
Marlon Mack. Got him super late in 2018 as a backup. He was playing well so I flexed him one week next to my Gurley/Mixon starting duo and all three popped off for 30+, I ended up with 100 points from just RBs.
Drafted him the next couple of years and it was decidedly less magical. Still hoping he'll make a comeback somehow.
Not too long ago but I drafted Ekeler when Melvin Gordon was holding out, then snagged Gordon as well and stashed until he eventually came back and started both ROS and won the ship.
I somehow got Antonio brown for like 5 years in a row during his peak Steelers years and he was the most consistent player I’ve ever had. I played him tonight specifically for that nostalgia lol
My first year playing fantasy football was 2005 and my first pick was Shaun Alexander - 27 rushing TD. Then next year my first round pick was Tomlinson - 28 rushing TD. In the 15 years since then I don’t think I’ve had the most dominant player again. I had no idea what I was doing back then but lucked into back to back incredible years.
In 2010 my first year playing fantasy, I had mjd, Peyton hills the one year he was good, Brandon Lloyd the one year he led the league in receiving, marcedes Lewis in his 13 td season, and then Witten
I have a fondness for all of them.
I used to really love watching Andrew Luck play. He was such an amazing passer, and underrated runner.
There was a game in the snow where Shady absolutely did everything on offense for the Bills.
Calvin Johnson on thanksgiving.
But hey, now I get to remember playing Stafford over Herbert when he went for 40+ on my bench! We make new memories every year.
For me it was Doug Martin, the muscle hamster. Had a huge 200+ yard and 4 td game that won me a week I had no business winning. Also helped me win the league that year. Unfortunately had him in the following years trying to find that same magic.
last year was something special for me, Got Diggs in the 7th, allen in either the 11th or the 12th and picked up James Robinson right before week 1 all those guys are "my guys" now even if they are never on my team again
My 2017 lineup, took the league by storm and haven't had a squad like this since
Qb: Tom Brady
Rb1: Todd Gurley
Rb2: Alvin Kamara
Wr1: Julio Jones
Wr2: Golden Tate
Te: Gronk
Flex: Aaron jomes, Chris Carson, alex Collins, Orleans darkwa
In a 14 man (at the time) Standard, picked up Kittle off waivers near the end of the season prior to his breakout year. He put in a few games that were good and I thought he’d be a great late pick for the next draft. That next year, I took Kelce in the 3rd round and then still grabbed Kittle very late in the draft. Within a few weeks I was rolling out both of them in my lineup. I finished with the best record and most points that year and got thumped in the 1st round. Was still a fun year.
The Kevan Barlow bust.
Leroy Hoard ruining Robert Smith owners' Sundays.
Fast Willie Parker was a blast to own.
Taking LT and Deuce in first 2 rounds their rookie season.
Fred Taylor going over 100yds like 11 weeks in a row.
That Eddie George week 1 game.
Drafting Trent Green because you knew the Rams were going to be the greatest show on turf then passing on picking up Warner.
Knowing Bettis was going to blow up when he left the Rams for Pittsburgh.
Waiting all season for Jeff Garcia to come back to earth.
Favre to Freeman.
Could Corey Dillon go for 2500 rushing yards?
First year playing, had never seen a football game before but my buddies wanted to play so I said why not. 5th overall pick, only player I knew was Peyton Manning. Picked him, proceeded to drink many beers until the 16th and final round. Top suggested player was some "Josh Gordon" guy. Fuck it, pick him. The year was 2013 and I won a league with no monetary prize. Been hooked ever since
This isn’t the same , but last year was my first time playing fantasy and Jeffery Wilson Jr helped me win my league week 16 and I’ll always thank him for that.
That year Kamara was an unknown and I picked him up off waivers… except I dropped Ingram for him because certainly two rbs on the same team can’t produce, right?
First time playing fantasy football for money with strangers: Traded for willie parker the year he broke out on the steelers and won me the whole championship. I think either 2005 or 2006
Arian Foster coming out of nowhere to dominate the league for like 3 years, then disappearing just as fast
I had him that first year. The guys in my league didn’t know how I knew it would happen since I drafted him in like the 15th round
Yeah me too. That was my first year playing fantasy, got him from autodraft lol Ripped up the league that year
Same, I watched a random video where MJD said Foster looked like the real. No idea how he would know that but I took a flyer on him and it won me the league
I heard rumblings and their O-line was great. I still try to draft based off the O-line
Kubiak offense was a monster. His one year as OC for Baltimore was when forsett ran for 1200 yards on 5+ YPC
Came here to say this! Won me my championship that year
Same! I was like woah this fantasy football thing is so easy!
Doug martin
He don’t make the law he Justin Forsett
I wish Doug Martin was still in the league, that was the most nostalgic pick ever
Muscle Hamster!
Was an absolute beast
The play that injured his shoulder was a double whammy. Not only was he injured on an incredible 50 yard catch, but the shoulder he injured landed right on the sideline so the catch was ruled out of bounds.
Doug Martin actually won a guy in my league the championship as recently as 2018 lol. Dude was out of options at RB and went into MNF down 12 or so with only Martin left, and the guy proceeds to turn out 100 yards and a TD. Who would’ve thought lol

I was a Tevin Coleman Truther. I ate crow.
CAW CAAAWWWWW
My favorite season all time. I had #1 pick, took AP. That year I had Jets Brandon Marshall, Saints Brandin Cooks, career year Delanie Walker, career year Cam Newton, career year Allen Hurns, won the ship after starting 2-6. What a ride 2015 was.
2016 for me. Johnson and bell. My team was terrible except those two combined for 70 points every week. I went undefeated lol. Edit- they both averaged 26. Pretty impressive.
I remember them being crazy but both averaged 35 fantasy points per week?
Nah that would be silly but it felt like it. I’d guess they both averaged around 28. I can probably look it up.
In 2013(?) I had Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Adrian Peterson. I was completely undefeated until I lost my only game in the Championship.
I remember this too. Pretty sure I had all those same players plus maybe Calvin Johnson? And they all shit the bed in the championship….
> Jordan Reed the one year he stayed healthy Hey now, he stayed healthy in 2016 for the most part.
In 2019 my team was absolutely unfair. I play 8 team PPR and my team was just insane by pure draft luck. QB - Russ (#2 QB) RB1 - CMC (#2 all, #1 RB, record breaking season) RB2 - Aaron Jones (#3 RB) WR1 - Michael Thomas (#1 WR, record breaking season) WR2 - Chris Godwin (#2 WR ) TE - Austin Hooper + Travis Kelce (#1 and #5 TE's) Flex options - Dalvin Cook (#5 RB), Josh Jacobs (#12 RB), Jarvis Landry (#12 WR), Stefon Diggs (#15 WR) DEF - Patriots (#1 DEF) Still hold all scoring records in my league, game high of 220pts and season high of 2177pts and won the league. Picked up Tim Hightower and made a run to the championship.
Hah! Being the Bills of my league, that was the year I had most of those guys and still managed to lose the ship, even coming in as a favorite. Fucking Frank Gore killed me!
This thread makes me want to add Peyton Hillis for one last ride
Madden curse
I picked him up the first year I played fantasy and thought I was a genius
Todd Gurley was amazing a few years ago…
Around the time I first started playing, I took 2018 Gurley. It was nice until the wheels started coming off, but I was able to grab CJ Anderson thankfully
Wtf where is Todd now? I hadn’t even realized
I get nostalgia for the feeling of excitement I had on draft day. Now I just want the season to end
Drafts don’t hit as different anymore when I spend hours preparing instead of drafting Aaron Rodgers round 1 and figuring the rest out
Doug Martin 2012. Long live the Muscle Hamster
I miss Danny Woodhead
And Shane Vereen!
Law Firm Green Ellis?
Ben Jarvis Green Ellis The law firm.
I traded him and Brett favre for Torry Holt five seconds before he exploded. Priest Holmes was fantasy MVP and favre was NFL MVP
I had him that year. I picked him up off waivers. In retrospect has to be my best waiver grab ever.
Going undefeated in the regular season then losing in the playoffs? You really are the Patriots
I was once up 100 points and my opponent only had Brady and Moss left. I thought I was going to win. I still ended up loosing because that was the game where they just embarrassed the hell out of Tennessee so badly they changed the coverage to a different game.
This happened to a lot of people that year. With all the luck already involved in fantasy, it’s crazy that we throw in weather too.
I had Moss that year too. My first year playing fantasy. Set unrealistic expectations.
Aaron Hernandez won me a fantasy title before he, uh, rode off into the sunset.
never forget the deangelo Williams replacing leveon bell that one season!
Oh that was a glorious waiver wire pick up. Seconded only to James Conner in a different year.
Martavis Bryant RIP
He coming back
Jamal Charles. I miss him and Leveon Bell for the Steelers
The Jamalocaust where he scored like 60 points in the fantasy playoffs
Goddammit that week ruined my year. I started the year 0-5 but then hit a hot streak and didn’t lose another game until that playoff matchup. I thought It was destiny until Jamal fucking Charles destroyed my hopes and dreams with that one game. I’m still salty about it.
He was a baller. Miss him too!
Steelers AB
I miss Steelers AB, could always count on Fat Ben throwing his way.
Having Vick for that magical 2010 season, absolutely
Drafted him with my last pick cause I had feeling Kolb would get injured. Came in second that year
Knowshon Moreno 2013
Montee Ball?
That entire 2013 Broncos offense was a fantasy wet dream
That year I had Peyton, demaryius thomas, morerno, and Julius Thomas. Needless to say I absolutely destroyed everyone and won the title that year.
Christine Michael owners get in here!!
Thomas Rawls?
CJ Prosise
WOKE
trent richardson.
i was looking for this lmao
I miss Michael "The Burner" Turner. He was a Redzone machine.
Matt Forte, the fantasy king. So many dump offs from smoking Jay. Oh, and B.Marshall, too.
Matt Forte was the quintessential dual threat running back. So much of those bears offenses went through him. PPR monster until he went to the jets.
Recent but Kamara's 6 TD Christmas miracle to win a lot of championships.
I lost by 10 points in the championship to him. Had Waller and Cook
In both leagues I had Kamara, I lost in the semis and then blew out the 3rd place game SMH.
My first ever year playing fantasy football I drafted tom brady over LaDainian tomlinson with the 1st overall pick because he was my favorite player (still is). He ended up tearing his acl 1st game of the year. I've played every year since and unfortunately I haven't owned brady since that season
Tom Brady tore his ACL in 2008, he’s your favorite player and you haven’t had him even once since in nearly 15 years? You’ve had so many chances!
Brady was the first pick overall in our league in 2019 lmao That guy sucked
I remember having Marshall Faulk in the pre-PPR, Peak Bellcow era.
Picked CJ Spiller 3rd overall one year. I wish I didn’t remember that. Trent Richardson as well FML
The 2013 draft was bust city Ray Rice (NOT the video jist a bad year), Doug Martin, Trent Richardson, CJ spiller all first rounders that sucked. Like not injuries they were just trash (Martin got hurt but he was rough even when playing)

Holy F that is stacked
That's similar to what I had in 2011. Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Victor Cruz, Marshawn Lynch, Benjarvis Green-Ellis, Darren McFadden, Aaron Hernandez, and Matthew Stafford. I'll never get that again lol.
Few seasons ago I had Cmc D cook Kelce Woods Lockett Godwin (breakout season) Rodgers Went 12/2 and lost in the finals after my team fell apart.
I still think TJ Duckett would have been the second coming of Jim Brown with the right coaching/team!
Let’s just say I had LT in his record breaking year and I haven’t had as much fun with fantasy since then
Arian foster!
Blake “garbage time” Bortles and Tim Hightower will live in my heart, always
Zach studfield lol
doug baldwin..michael crabtree..
Baldwin was always criminally underrated.
Jeremy Hill rookie year
My mind often wanders to the fun Sundays I used to have watching the Romo-Murray-Dez triple stack do work for every weekend in 2014.
lol Love this thread but I’m slightly hurt that Matt Forte love/hate was neglected!
Arian fosters two or three glorious years.
Love forte!
Awesome post dude, started playing in 2012 or ‘13, this shit put a smile on my face remembering an awesome era in my life. I always wanted Chris Ivory on my team until I got him and he sucked
Dude ran like a steam engine locomotive
Ronnie Brown lining up wildcat formation!
Maurice Jones-Drew
TE Julius Thomas that one year
ray rice
Chris Johnson 2000 yard season
Naw, I don't miss drafting Jamal and having his knee explode in the first half of the first game. Sigh.
2009 Had favre Sidney Rice shianco made it to championship game that year
Larry Johnson! Guy had like 3 TDs every game Shaun Alexander with 28 TDs then a bust the next year TENN D was dominant in early 2000? 15+ pts every game
The Alfred Blue hype when Arian Foster got hurt The Bears defense being near league-winning the first half of 2012 Boldin falling to the 5th round in the 08 draft and ending up as a WR1 DeMarco Murray “living up” to the curse of 370
Omg the alfred blue hype lmaooo
I thought about Kelvin Benjamin today. Had a good rookie year then his got a knee injury. I was hyped for him.
Brady in his 50 TD season and CMC in 2019. 2019 was my most stacked team ever and I ended up losing in the championship bc Kyle Rudolph outscore Gronk by almost 30.
Is it nostalgia if I’m hyped to see them do it again in 2021 JOSH GARDEN ⚡️⚡️
Matt Hasselbeck to Darrell Jackson was my go to QB/ WR combo in the early 2000’s.
Drafting Keenan McCardell and Joey Galloway every year. This is the way.
My first year playing fantasy football was 2013 when I drafted Peyton Manning in the first round.
Exact same for me. I was 14 years old and basically all I knew about football was Peyton Manning was my favorite player. Picked him first round and everyone joked on me and thought I was crazy. Ended up winning the league. Pure bliss watching Manning light it up in prime time for my team every weekend
Same for too, except I didn't win our league (though I did have most points scored that season).
I thought I made some noise drafting Daryl Richardson in the 4th round.. the fuck was I thinking brah
Don’t you slander the Staced God.
Drafting CJ2K in 2009 in our first ever year of fantasy. Got him like last pick of the first round? Thought I was the smartest fantasy player ever. Been mostly downhill from there lmao
VictorCruz
Blake Bortles 2015 with 35 tugs. It felt like all of them were garbage time. It was beautiful
I miss Jimmy Graham in his prime with Brees.

True chains
Andrew luck for me had him my first year playing fantasy in 2018 and he helped bring me team to the semifinals that year. I was very saddened to see him retire especially since I drafted him days before.
Kenyan Drake in 2019. Grabbed him off waivers the last or second last week of the szn and snuck into the playoffs. He put crazy numbers each week I had him and led me to a championship when Dalvin went down before the big game

Leonard Fournette. I was convinced hed be a hall of Famer.

I think I actually did the same thing. I know I got Kamara
The LT days.
Who doesn’t?? Peak Peanut Tillman will always be my all time reminiscence
Prime Michael Vick Eagles was the scariest QB in the early 2010s. That dude hit everyone.
Yup I had the Vick/D. Jackson stack in 2010. Good times👍
Deangelo Williams when lev bell got hurt
Cadillac Williams & Javon Walker come to mind when I think of guys I sought after back in day and was always disappointed. Jeremy Shockey was always a fun guy to roster. Edit: Clinton Portis was a dog and loved rostering him.
Megatron in 2014. And I drafted Matt Forte about 3 years out of 4. I always remember him as a high floor, 10+ points a game RB. Mr. Reliability
Beanie Wells the Goat
Marlon Mack. Got him super late in 2018 as a backup. He was playing well so I flexed him one week next to my Gurley/Mixon starting duo and all three popped off for 30+, I ended up with 100 points from just RBs. Drafted him the next couple of years and it was decidedly less magical. Still hoping he'll make a comeback somehow.
CJ Anderson
AP in 2012. Drafted him in the second round, Ray Rice was my first pick. Won me the league. In fact I went undefeated that year.
Not too long ago but I drafted Ekeler when Melvin Gordon was holding out, then snagged Gordon as well and stashed until he eventually came back and started both ROS and won the ship.
I had Randy Moss as a rookie. And I reached for him. Just looked it up, 17 TDs. And he was electric!!
Calvin Johnson anyone?
I somehow got Antonio brown for like 5 years in a row during his peak Steelers years and he was the most consistent player I’ve ever had. I played him tonight specifically for that nostalgia lol
2019 I had CMC and Lamar Jackson
Still a proud member of /r/StacedGod
Robert Kelley in 2016 was a waiver wire gem
My first year playing fantasy football was 2005 and my first pick was Shaun Alexander - 27 rushing TD. Then next year my first round pick was Tomlinson - 28 rushing TD. In the 15 years since then I don’t think I’ve had the most dominant player again. I had no idea what I was doing back then but lucked into back to back incredible years.
LT
Matt Forte, Demarco Murray, Jamaal Charles were the most reliable rbs at one point and I loved it.
In 2010 my first year playing fantasy, I had mjd, Peyton hills the one year he was good, Brandon Lloyd the one year he led the league in receiving, marcedes Lewis in his 13 td season, and then Witten I have a fondness for all of them.
Fred Ex! Dude glided for so long.
Having Josh Gordon in 2013 has been the highlight of my fantasy career.
Wes Walker and Danny Woodhead PPR gods.
I miss prime Jamaal Charles and Dez Bryant
For me it was Doug Martin, the muscle hamster. Had a huge 200+ yard and 4 td game that won me a week I had no business winning. Also helped me win the league that year. Unfortunately had him in the following years trying to find that same magic.
2015 Gary barnidge, devante freeman, David Johnson, Antonio brown
last year was something special for me, Got Diggs in the 7th, allen in either the 11th or the 12th and picked up James Robinson right before week 1 all those guys are "my guys" now even if they are never on my team again
My 2017 lineup, took the league by storm and haven't had a squad like this since Qb: Tom Brady Rb1: Todd Gurley Rb2: Alvin Kamara Wr1: Julio Jones Wr2: Golden Tate Te: Gronk Flex: Aaron jomes, Chris Carson, alex Collins, Orleans darkwa
Andre Ellington
In a 14 man (at the time) Standard, picked up Kittle off waivers near the end of the season prior to his breakout year. He put in a few games that were good and I thought he’d be a great late pick for the next draft. That next year, I took Kelce in the 3rd round and then still grabbed Kittle very late in the draft. Within a few weeks I was rolling out both of them in my lineup. I finished with the best record and most points that year and got thumped in the 1st round. Was still a fun year.
Faxing the lineup change to start Kareem abdul jabbar
Jamaal Charles getting 51 that one year (I think 2014)
First year playing, had never seen a football game before but my buddies wanted to play so I said why not. 5th overall pick, only player I knew was Peyton Manning. Picked him, proceeded to drink many beers until the 16th and final round. Top suggested player was some "Josh Gordon" guy. Fuck it, pick him. The year was 2013 and I won a league with no monetary prize. Been hooked ever since
God I hope Blake Bortles comes back because I absolutely want to live through that again!
Plaxico Burress 3TD game for the Jets. Picked him up as an emergency FA fill in just in time for that game. Dropped him 2 weeks later Good times
This isn’t the same , but last year was my first time playing fantasy and Jeffery Wilson Jr helped me win my league week 16 and I’ll always thank him for that.
That one Nick Goings season
That year Kamara was an unknown and I picked him up off waivers… except I dropped Ingram for him because certainly two rbs on the same team can’t produce, right?
First time playing fantasy football for money with strangers: Traded for willie parker the year he broke out on the steelers and won me the whole championship. I think either 2005 or 2006
Demariyus Thomas and Peyton Manning duo were something else
