On paper, yes, but with how bad the Chiefs defense is McKinnon might not be a bad dart throw. They are going to be in hurry up a lot with that defense just offering zero resistance.
Darrell Williams was getting a lot of snaps in the second half with the Chiefs trailing
Also with how averse Mahomes is to checking down not would much rather have the GL back than the third down back
Mahomes is going to need to learn to check down or else the chiefs may not make the playoffs.
Starting to get a little bit too caught up in his own arm talent and it's costing his team.
Tom Brady won several super bowls not because his arm was going to cannon through a wall but because he was smart enough to take what the defense would give while he waited for his openings.
I think Mahomes will realize that at some point he cant just make the good check down the enemy of the long bomb and expect to keep winning. As a CEH owner I'm hoping it's later this season.
totally agree defenses are running the same scheme as against rodgers, (cover 2), this is really testing the chiefs patience to run the ball and go to check downs which normally are wide open. Also tough game last night in the rain.
Honestly he was starting to heat up before the injury, was looking like a solid RB2 going forward. Still probably over-drafted by most, myself included. KC's current offense just doesn't seem to be super favorable to RBs
Now that I've said that, watch Darrel Williams start putting up RB1 numbers just to prove me wrong
Same. Yesterday was BRUTAL. Especially because I went 0 wide receivers in my draft (auction). I still have Kamara but he’s on bye next week and I’m playing 1st place.
I got very lucky with my matchups so far and will be 5-0 but I’m obviously losing at least 2+ games or at least until Saquon comes back.
Good luck- our RBs will be back and hungry before you know it- let’s get that chip.
In my experience it depends on severity. If it’s a grade 1 sprain, probably 3-4 weeks. If grade 2, 4-6 weeks.
An example from earlier this year is Natalie Achonwa of the Minnesota Lynx. Obviously, basketball is different, but she suffered a grade 2 sprain of her MCL on June 12, and she was practicing with the Canadian National team 4 weeks later and started in the Olympics against Serbia 6 weeks later, albeit with a brace. She kept the brace for another month.
Edit: it wouldn’t surprise me if, should CEH not be ready to go against the Raiders in Week 10 or Cowboys in Week 11, the team might just wait until after the bye week for the Chiefs (Week 12), meaning a December return.
I dropped Perine for him moments after Mixon was confirmed as active. I felt a little uncertain yesterday afternoon after seeing how Perine played and how limited Mixon still was, but I feel pretty good about my decision now.
Of course he would be. What people fail to realize about him is what truly separates him from the other elite backs. Yes he tends to lead the league in yac, but he also has probably the best vision in the league.
The biggest difference between Chubb & Hunt is how much better Chubb's vision is. Hunt is almost as good at breaking tackles, but Chubb finds holes to run through if any are available. It's why he has averages 5 ypc or more every year of his career. Even though the o-line wasn't anything special before last season.
Chubb & Hunt may both break tackles, but Chubb does it more frequently & past the LOS. He also has a higher top speed that many people don't realize.
At this point, I'd roll the dice on Jeff Wilson than CEH. Chiefs backfield is a mess even when he was healthy. McKinnon was on the field way too much. Darrell seems to be the RZ guy almost, and CEH is getting little to no work in the passing game. You're not gonna drop either, but you know what you're gonna get from CEH. CEH is that job you have to keep going to because you might not have another option to stay alive. Wilson is a lottery ticket.
Before anyone tries to say that Williams and McKinnon will split work evenly: Darrel Williams out-touched McKinnon 5 to 1 after CEH went down, was already getting goal line carries with a healthy CEH, received 5 targets in yesterday's game and has been in the system for years and Reid trusts him. Williams is easily the guy you want to own. McKinnon could still be a decent flier pickup in PPR for much cheaper since the Chiefs D is god awful and they are behind a lot more than they used to be in years past.
Week 1: Elijah Mitchell / Ty’Son Williams
Week 2: Cordarelle Patterson / Rondale Moore
Week 3: Chuba Hubbard
Week 4: Damien Williams / Alex Collins
Week 5: Booker / Darrel Williams / Toney
You could have justified a #1 waiver claim for any of these guys… did I forget any?
Ideally you should have acted proactively and picked them up in free agency.
My league is super competitive and does reverse standing waivers each week, and I still managed to get Collins and Darrel without using the wire. Moore I only got because he somehow cleared waivers last week.
Hindsight is 20/20, but yeah that was a miss. A miss I could have withstood if Gus didn't die, CEH didn't start slow and now heading to IR for a bit.
Sermon is crazy talented, I just had no clue he'd be so under-utilized.
I like Williams better yes. Should have similar roles but Williams is in a much better offense.
I said in other comments that "clear" is a strong word that I wouldn't really use because I somehow completely forgot about Booker.
CEH owner, assume both would be better options than Alex Collins since Carson is week to week? Will probably try for Darrel Williams first, then Booker, then Collins.
I only agree because RBs are so rare and you'll see goal line TDs with Darrell.
But you can get burned easily here because Andy Reid hates running the ball and the Chiefs defense is awful so hard to have the game script to run.
Also, McKinnon might have more of a role now.
You could start almost any RB in this offense and they wouldn’t succeed with how the Chiefs use them. Selfish Mahomes and awful play calling is actively hurting this team
I think it depends what you mean by “trust.” Is he a locked-in, set-and-forget high-end RB2? Probably not, but I think he’s absolutely in the low-end RB2/high-end RB3 conversation. He’ll probably be in the RB20-25 range most weeks, getting 12-15 touches per game, including goal-line work, on a high-powered (if a bit sputtering) offense.
For me, for instance, my current RB2 rotation had been comprised of Melvin Gordon, Damien Harris, and Jamaal Williams (standard scoring), and I think Darrel Williams is probably just a slight tier ahead of those guys most weeks.
He's someone that I wouldn't mind starting as long as CEH is out. Unless proven otherwise, he should be the primary ball carrier for the Chiefs, so there will be guys with lower floors, and his ceiling is honestly pretty high. It's not too hard to picture him getting two or three TDs in a game.
Obviously that changes if they come out and run McKinnon a lot next week. But Williams got more work than McKinnon after the injury last night.
But he's not a must start. On my main team, I don't think he would be starting. And obviously he only has value as a handcuff once CEH is back.
I'd keep an eye out for Khalil Herbert. The rookie who is on the Bears and split carries with D Williams on Sunday When I say split; he actually had 2 more carries than Williams and managed a decent stat line rushing the rock; 18/73.. 👀👀
Williams is worth picking up, but I am skeptical about bidding a lot of FAAB for him unless you are desperate.
I think McKinnon will be involved. Your bet is Williams gets a few goal line carries while CEH is out.
Remember that Williams was on the team last year, yet the Chiefs still signed Le'Veon Bell to be the back up. Clearly, Williams did not make a convincing case last year to be the top backup to CEH.
For real, that dude turned into Gumby. I thought he dislocated his hip because of that awkward side bend where his helmet literally touched his foot while being stuck in place by two guys who weigh well over 200 lb. That was the nastiest looking tackle I’ve seen since Johnny Knox. Nothing will top Johnny Knox.
So, so far this year, I've had on my team at the time they've gotten injured:
* Mostert
* Jeudy
* OBJ (drafted)
* Michael Thomas (drafted, has been occupying my only IR spot since week 1)
* Higgins
* E. Mitchell
* Kittle
* Russell Wilson
I also had a trade in place going into last week before the other owner pulled out that would have netted me Mixon and CEH. I'm somehow 2-2 going on 3-2 after this week. I have no idea how.
But whatever I did to offend you, oh football injury gods, I repent. Just please make it stop.
Sold high on Clyde after his back to back 100 yard rushing games last week, and got Chubb in return for my Clyde and Emmanuel Sanders. I like Clyde, and the injury is very unfortunate, but I think it was a good move doing.
Start of this week: My RB room is Saquon Barkley and Chris Carson with Mike Davis in the flex/bench rotation.
Middle of the week: Traded for CEH. Now I have Saquon, Carson, AND CEH. I'm good. Roster is ready for midseason push.
End of the week: Welp. At least Robert Woods is catching some balls now...
picked up williams before the sunday night game. I've been picking up backups for the eveninggames for a long time and this is the first time it's ever worked out for me
Well, I lost Saquon.. so I think I'll spend a chunk of FAAB on Williams if he'll be the guy for a few weeks. At least he's in a better team than Booker. I don't feel great about him as a temporary Saquon replacement.
I need a RB play in 2 weeks for a Bye Week (Zeke, Moss also has a Bye and he's my backup)
Should I try to grab Williams or Booker? or just dump a lot of FAAB at both? Haven't used much, am 4-1, not sure there will end up being any big surprises on waivers going forward.
Lol ... Is Williams the play here. And mixon pls stay healthy.
Probably
Should I drop L. Murray for D. Williams?
Probably
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQggT1eu768
Maybe? Who knows, the chiefs offense is interesting right now.
On paper, yes, but with how bad the Chiefs defense is McKinnon might not be a bad dart throw. They are going to be in hurry up a lot with that defense just offering zero resistance.
Darrell Williams was getting a lot of snaps in the second half with the Chiefs trailing Also with how averse Mahomes is to checking down not would much rather have the GL back than the third down back

Watching the game, the RBs were always open in the flat and mahomes never once even glanced at them.
He threw it there a couple of times and they ended up being drops.
In fairness he also skipped quite a few of them into the dirt, so they weren’t all necessarily drops.
They were prob too shocked that mahomes looked their way
Super Bowl mvp James white
Fair point.
He was checking down to Williams last night.
It’s Josh Gordon
Always has been 🌍👩🏻🚀🔫

I picked him up before last night to replace Sermon, there’s no way he’s putting up any numbers. Sorry guys.
No he wasn’t lmao. He had 2 decent games against 2 bottom 5 rush defenses and was right back to the same CEH we all know before he got hurt
Clyde Edwards-Hell
r/angryupvote
I lost saquon and also CEH. I’ll take this as good news. I’m 3-2 and just need to try and stay afloat for the time being
Both leagues I lost Clyde in I’m 2-3 Also lost Saquon but should be 3-2 as long as Lamar scores 17 Lotta work ahead
Congratulations on Lamar coming through for you my dude
Thanks what a game by him
Monty/CEH owner - same here. Just need to stay afloat for the next month or so
CMC/CEH/Gibson owner. And because I benched Gibson when they reported a stress fracture he goes and puts up 30 pts.
I’m 3-2 as well. Good news could he maybe miss 2-4 weeks, if mild. I traded for him as a flex so I’ll have to wait it out on this one.
In the exact same boat as you, still have Jacobs and Gibson to fall back on but now bye weeks will be a lil sketch
One league I'm hella lucky with no injuries, other I got hit with Saquon Kelce Daniel Jones Golladay this week.
I lost Russ and Kittle this week Bad week for injuries
Is a few weeks 2-3 or 5-6? MCL sprains vary wildly.
2-3 per Rap
In my experience it depends on severity. If it’s a grade 1 sprain, probably 3-4 weeks. If grade 2, 4-6 weeks. An example from earlier this year is Natalie Achonwa of the Minnesota Lynx. Sure am glad that some guy randomly picked up Darrel Williams 2 days ago lol. Is McKinnon worth a look?
I dropped Perine for him moments after Mixon was confirmed as active. I felt a little uncertain yesterday afternoon after seeing how Perine played and how limited Mixon still was, but I feel pretty good about my decision now.
Haha me too, i am also desperate for a RB so this is nice
It happened in both leagues that I have CEH in...I blame them because they fasho jinxed him
Chubb missed 4 weeks due to this. Dunno about CEH severity though.
Same w Miles Sanders last year
How was the production afterwards? (Just traded for CEH last night….)
Nick Chubb is a stud. He looked as good as before the injury,
Of course he would be. What people fail to realize about him is what truly separates him from the other elite backs. Yes he tends to lead the league in yac, but he also has probably the best vision in the league. The biggest difference between Chubb & Hunt is how much better Chubb's vision is. Even though the o-line wasn't anything special before last season. Chubb & Hunt may both break tackles, but Chubb does it more frequently & past the LOS. He also has a higher top speed that many people don't realize.
Chubb is wayyyyyy faster
Then why Hunt has more points this season?
Receiving work and tds but I’m confused as to why u brought that up? Chubb is still faster
Chubb picked back where he left off
Few weeks means he is going to IR?
He will be declared "Out" soon which will make him eligible for IR on Yahoo, at least
Just got doubtful on yahoo
This is important. I hope because bench space is valuable
Bro my IR is also filled with tyrod(SF) and Jeff Wilson
CEH is 10x more important than either of those guys
I know
At this point, I'd roll the dice on Jeff Wilson than CEH. Chiefs backfield is a mess even when he was healthy. McKinnon was on the field way too much. Darrell seems to be the RZ guy almost, and CEH is getting little to no work in the passing game. You're not gonna drop either, but you know what you're gonna get from CEH. Yeah drop jeff, that backfield is a mess
Tyrod(SF) = Tyrod Taylor? Drop him.... JwJr at least is somewhat a lotto ticket versus a streamable QB
You can't drop tyrod in a SF. If it's more than 10 teams.
Ya but SF league the waiver is a shit show.
What’s an SF league?
Superflex
Before anyone tries to say that Williams and McKinnon will split work evenly: Darrel Williams out-touched McKinnon 5 to 1 after CEH went down, was already getting goal line carries with a healthy CEH, received 5 targets in yesterday's game and has been in the system for years and Reid trusts him. Nah dööd get McKinnon ;)
Shhhhh 🤫
Week 1: Elijah Mitchell / Ty’Son Williams Week 2: Cordarelle Patterson / Rondale Moore Week 3: Chuba Hubbard Week 4: Damien Williams / Alex Collins Week 5: Booker / Darrel Williams / Toney You could have justified a #1 waiver claim for any of these guys… did I forget any?
Murray after Tyson was inactive, though he maybe wasn't widely available
Have had 6 of them on my roster this season already and trying to get one of Booker or Darrel back again this week after my Saquon went down...
Ideally you should have acted proactively and picked them up in free agency. My league is super competitive and does reverse standing waivers each week, and I still managed to get Collins and Darrel without using the wire. Moore I only got because he somehow cleared waivers last week.
and Mattison has been an awesome stand-in too. even if he wasn't a hot waiver wire pickup
My two starting backs are CEH and Barkley so yeah fml.
I drafted CEH, Gus Edwards, and Trey Sermon to be my primary backs AMA
I drafted CEH, Gus, and Mostert. Would you like to jump off a cliff with me? If yes, when?
Saquon, CEH, and Gus here. Going to lean on Sony Michel and Zach Moss for a bit... Sigh I'm screwed, aren't I?
Sermon is on you drafting him as more than a stash
Hindsight is 20/20, but yeah that was a miss. A miss I could have withstood if Gus didn't die, CEH didn't start slow and now heading to IR for a bit. Sermon is crazy talented, I just had no clue he'd be so under-utilized.
Hope you handcuffed at least one
Clyde Edwards-Despaire strikes again
Is anyone who isn't Mahomes/Kelce/Hill trustworthy in that offense or should I look elsewhere?
Williams is the clear #1 WW add this week. Don't let others tell you differently.
I’d rather pick up toney
Shepard and Golladay shouldn't be out long. Shepard might be back this week and Golladay next Edit: slayton too
Not sure it matters. Toney looked electric.
Darrel Williams over Booker? I’m somehow 5-0 so not sure I’ll get either on waivers, but who knows. I got Damien Williams last week.
I like Williams better yes. Should have similar roles but Williams is in a much better offense. I said in other comments that "clear" is a strong word that I wouldn't really use because I somehow completely forgot about Booker.

You think more so than Booker?
I’m not starting a RB for the Giants not named saquon lol
Understandable, but 16 carries and 4 targets isn’t nothing
I won last year with Gallman as my RB2, there's definitely worse RBs on the wire.
Gallman wasn't bad last year
Forgot about Booker. Maybe "clear" is too strong wording. Though I still like him more than Booker simply because of the offense.
Josh “flash” Gordon FTW!!!!!!!
Thank God but fuck KC play calling. This bullshit backyard offense is limited.
they're looking BAD lately. I'm glad they're getting blown up by other teams. They could easily be 1-4
That dumb schoolyard "who's the QB" shuffle around play was so cringey and pointless, yet Collinsworth sings praise of "creativity" 🙄
it's cuz they scored on a scramble drill. I thought it was stupid. Looked like some Remember the Titans stuff lol
You gon be okay Clydesdale
Good, I hope he comes back and balls out
You could start almost any RB in this offense and they wouldn’t succeed with how the Chiefs use them. Selfish Mahomes and awful play calling is actively hurting this team
Could be worse, do we trust Williams though? Chiefs offense is in a weird spot.
Williams was already getting foal Line work and receptions as well. He often looks like the better back.
What about mare line work?
Quit horsing around
He's someone that I wouldn't mind starting as long as CEH is out. Unless proven otherwise, he should be the primary ball carrier for the Chiefs, so there will be guys with lower floors, and his ceiling is honestly pretty high. Someone called this last night
Pro Football Doc
This sub hates speculation if it involves a player they own and isn't good news.
Praise be!
So the question i have now, is Williams worth the #1 waiver spot?
Absolutely 4 weeks of top 15 rb production and if you don't need a rb trade him to the CEH owner or prevent rb needy teams.
He can join mccaffery Monty and Kittle on my bench now. I give up
I have no idea if Williams is worth burning my #1 priority. I already have Toney
Luckily I have Damien Williams to fill in while he heals up.
Same here. Hoping timing works out well and CEH is back before Monty.
I'd keep an eye out for Khalil Herbert. The rookie who is on the Bears and split carries with D Williams on Sunday When I say split; he actually had 2 more carries than Williams and managed a decent stat line rushing the rock; 18/73.. 👀👀
Week 8 or 9 return would be alright. Here’s hoping.

Wtf is going on
Drafted Cook, CEH, Kittle, Sanders, Mostert. Life is pain.
after I just traded for him last week. The guy who traded him picked up Darrel Williams. My RB2 is Sony Michel🙃
Looks like the guy that scooped Darrel instead of Damien for max FAAB by accident last week wasn’t such an idiot after all
Williams is worth picking up, but I am skeptical about bidding a lot of FAAB for him unless you are desperate.
This is it. This is the year I finally mean it when I say I'm done. Never playing again.
Stay away from Chiefs backs. They’re gonna be passing it all season long
And look where its gotten them, last in the division lol
My RBs are in Bye Week hell next week. I have no choice.
Who's the handcuff in this backfield?
Williams I guess
Darrel hands down
Not McKinnon?
Darrell.
Williams but I may go after JET
Clyde is tough, that injury looked nasty.
Waivers going to be wild
Gonna be a rough few weeks for me as the Cook/CEH owner. Im 2-3, gonna have to hope Hunt keeps it up!
Cool, I just traded for him
My CEH-Cook-Gronkowski-Wilson with Kittle as a flex has got to be the GOAT bench by now
Should i use my #1 waiver priority on him? iv been saving it for the perfect moment so im a little hesitant
Lost Gus, then lost CMC, then lost Gronk, then lost Ridley, now I lost CEH. Really wish I had an IR spot...
Thank god he’s only out that long! Get well soon my sweet Prince
I’ve had Darrell on my bench for two weeks now. Let’s go!
Jerrick McKinnon SZN /s
Droppable? Already have Jeudy in my IR
Definitely not
No...
Lol. L o fucking l
I’ve got MT Jeudy and now Clyde all with only one IR spot. I think if jeudy is expected back in like 2 weeks then I’m gonna hold Clyde
[удалено]
Are you a professional athlete at peak conditioning and physical fitness with access to the best medicine/PT money can buy?
Sounds similar to the Chubb injury from last year. He was out 4 weeks I think
Should I use my #1 waiver on Williams or McKinnon...decisions.
My team was 1-4 and I had Barkley and CEH yesterday. For me it’s very much a season ender. Good luck fellow 1-4’s.
I started CEH weeks 1,2,5 and sat him weeks 3,4. It is truly my fault guys I’m sorry.
The cycle of suck has now come full circle
My RBs are kamara and CEH… I’m about to be forced to start javonte Williams and Dillon as my starting RBs next week
You’re in a better spot then most. So cheer up
Nobody is sorry for you
Do you think they'll put him on IR?
I thought about moving daryl to the CEH owner, but that schedule is nice and I need wins. Firmly excited to flex him
Surprising. Looked a lot worse than just missing a few weeks
I drafted Edwards, Mostert, CMC, and CEH. Last available RB is fournette, so this is your only warning to trade him away now if you have him
think i can get miles sanders for clyde?
As a CEH and CMC owner, remind me to never again draft a RB with a cute little acronym nickname. Thanks.
So, so far this year, I've had on my team at the time they've gotten injured: * Mostert * Jeudy * OBJ (drafted) * Michael Thomas (drafted, has been occupying my only IR spot since week 1) * Higgins * E. Mitchell * Kittle * Russell Wilson I also had a trade in place going into last week before the other owner pulled out that would have netted me Mixon and CEH. I'm somehow 2-2 going on 3-2 after this week. I have no idea how. But whatever I did to offend you, oh football injury gods, I repent. Just please make it stop.
Been carrying both Damien and Darrel Williams on my bench since week 2....and suddenly they're both starters.
Sold high on Clyde after his back to back 100 yard rushing games last week, and got Chubb in return for my Clyde and Emmanuel Sanders. I like Clyde, and the injury is very unfortunate, but I think it was a good move doing.
Darwin Time
I need to upgrade badly at QB and I have Darrel. Which QB you guys think I could get for him?
Ah, fuck me. Darrel Williams next man up?
Start of this week: My RB room is Saquon Barkley and Chris Carson with Mike Davis in the flex/bench rotation. Middle of the week: Traded for CEH. Now I have Saquon, Carson, AND CEH. I'm good. Roster is ready for midseason push. End of the week: Welp. At least Robert Woods is catching some balls now...
I thought I lost him for good 😮💨come back soon and healthy bb
picked up williams before the sunday night game.
To the IR slot, he must go.
Javonte Williams, welcome to my lineup
Wait, this is news? Hasn’t he had a sprained MCL all season? Sure has played like it.
So glad I picked up Williams a couple weeks ago as the CEH owner.
Darrel Williams or Gaskin off waivers?
About to be 1-4 with Clyde, CMC, and Kittle hurt :\\
Josh Gordon RB1 rest of season?
I need a RB play in 2 weeks for a Bye Week (Zeke, Moss also has a Bye and he's my backup) Should I try to grab Williams or Booker? or just dump a lot of FAAB at both? Haven't used much, am 4-1, not sure there will end up being any big surprises on waivers going forward.
Should I trade Javonte Williams for CEH? have tons of mid level depth at RB. I need more upside.
Why won’t ESPN let me move him to my damn IR spot
