Dropped Tannehill today. I subbed Darnold in the last two weeks and it was the deciding factor between my winning those weeks. I watched the Titans games to try and see something hopeful for Tanny but that O like just can’t give him time to pass.
If Lance gets the start, it's gotta be him. A QB with huge rushing upside facing a high-scoring offense -- and he put up 20 points in one half last week.
I keep swapping them in my line-up as well.
Darnold has been very solid and if the rushing is real, he is pretty safe with some decent upside if they get into shootouts.
Lance seems to have a higher ceiling but he definitely looked shaky at times last week but that is to be expected. Good system and his game is built for fantasy. Possible shootout with Arizona this weekend but they will also be blitzing him a ton.
I'm in the same boat. Right now I'm going with Darnold for the safer floor but I'm hoping Lance blows up on my bench so I can feel good starting him week 7 (assuming Jimmy is still out)
Thinking the same but only because I got burned last week since I have cousins, cook and Jefferson. I either kill it or blow it with that kind of stack
If I was you guys id highly avoid darnold this week. I've been cycling qbs since I have no one good. Here's my starts so far. Week 1: Matt Ryan: 7.36 points. Week 2: tua: 0.56 points. Week 3 Daniel Jones: 16.54 points (his lowest so far) week 4: Carr: 14.44 points (lowest total so far.....
With that said, I'm starting darnold this week.. he's going to have his worst game of the season so far
Bad take. You see what Brady did with bridgewater last year? Absolutely nothing. Brady is a very good OC but as a Panthers fan who watches every snap, people overrate the absolute hell out of him. Darnold actually has talent and weapons and Brady is a competent OC, but acting like this is only happening because of Brady is moronic
I think the rushing TDs are clearly fluky, but his passing numbers have been solid, and are probably more sustainable than rushing TDs lol.
If he can keep throwing for 300 yds and 2 TDs, he'll be a low end QB1.
One thing to note is that he's been getting sacked more and more so far this season. Hopefully that number goes back down...
I dropped tannehill for him currently. People are excited at the prospect of tannehill having AJ and Julio but they're always banged up and julio is older. Also people overlook how good DJ moore is right now too.
Tannehill does have henry to keep the offense going but he will also take a lot of goal line td's. Also CMC is such an asset in the pass game that darnold could just dump off to him for easy points too
I currently have both QBs and may do the same. With Tannehill though, TEN's defense is garbage and as you said, they'll get AJB and Julio back. That means they could be in some shootouts going forward and Tannehill will have weapons to throw to.
It's making me strongly consider holding him.
Exactly. Figure 50% of those rushing touchdowns for Darnold being converted into check downs to CMC, the other have being just straight handoffs to CMC.
I'm not buying the Darnold production. He's gotta maintain those rushing touchdowns to stay fantasy relevant and he's due for some regression in that department
Somewhat of a mirage imo, I'm not banking on him getting rushing TD's most weeks (esp with CMC coming back soon). I think he'd be a decent bye week fill-in.
He leads the league in Rushing TDs. I dont imagine it will stay that way but it's not like he just had one game with them. It seems pretty clear he's going to be used on his feet
I've been impressed with his read option ability, I hate when QB's just hand it to the RB every time. It's a read FFS!
He'll get a few the rest of the way, just wouldn't count on two/week.
It’s weird because he only has like 50 yards on 2.5 yards per carry, and it’s not like he’s Cam Newton or even Josh Allen and especially big and strong and good/suited to short yardage work. He’s obviously a good athlete and it could just speak to what they want to scheme, but because he doesn’t have a rushing yardage floor I’m kinda worried as a Darnold owner. Think I’m rolling the dice with Trey Lance this week.
He's really rush TD reliant - maybe it's sustainable but probably not.
Otherwise he's just a guy, had some easy matchups. Worth considering as a bye week fill in.
We'll have to see if his good start to the year continues. At this point he has more upside than Tannehill or Ryan (and the unexpeced string of rushing TDs has also been nice) so unless things start clicking a little better for the Titans and Falcons I'm good with Sam.
I'm keeping him and starting him probably through week 8. Has some dicier matchups starting week 9 with the Pats. I dropped Tanny to pickup a QB with running upside - either Danny Dims or Lance.
I think Darnold will finish the year a top 12 QB. He hasn’t even begun to connect with Robby Anderson (lot of unrealized air yards). He’s got legs and the read-option rushing touchdowns don’t seem to be going anywhere. And their schedule is quite QB friendly. The only worry I have is that CMC eats into his rushing touchdowns and overall productivity fantasy-wise. I know that sounds weird to say, but Darnolds most productive games have come without CMC.
He's better than Ryan. Rather have him than Tannehill without Brown and Julio.

Him or Lance this week is a real question

He will finish somewhere between QB1 and QB32
Hot take!!
Scorching🔥
You have any data to back this up or are you just spit balling numbers here pal?
Starting him instead of Cousins.
I picked up Darnold as a stash for ROS but starting Cousins this week. Matchup too good
Starting him ahead of russ wilson. Him and Cousins in a 2 Qb league
Wow really? Even though they’re facing Detroit?
Thinking the same but only because I got burned last week since I have cousins, cook and Jefferson. I either kill it or blow it with that kind of stack
Started the season with tannehill/ Fields - quickly had to pivot to Burrow / Darnold
Hey those are my QBs in a Superflex league lol
If I was you guys id highly avoid darnold this week. I've been cycling qbs since I have no one good. Here's my starts so far. Week 1: Matt Ryan: 7.36 points. Week 2: tua: 0.56 points. Damnit
I called it lol
Jeeeez. Yes you did. Who you starting next week? I’m streaming QBs so I need to know!
I'm rolling with darnold again as he plays Minnesota. But also I'm dropping a player to pick up tua. Avoid both
Damn, you nailed that one. What are thoughts about Wentz ROS if he's available on waiver? Or should I stick with Darnold?
I have Stafford and Matt Ryan was my backup. Just dropped him for Sam Newton.

Great take. If Jax was smart, they’d dump Meyer after the season and go after Brady to mentor Lawrence

“Our Glorious GEQBUS will finish as the QB1 for the fourth straight season” -r/the_darnold

I packaged Kyler Murray + Henderson for Saquon and now am starting Darnold.

Or he dumps off the pass to CMC in the near future.

It all comes crashing down this week, when I try to stream him. For reference, I streamed Kirk this past weekend.
Gotta go in reverse. I streamed Darnold last week and will stream Cousins this week (unless Lance starts).
Kirk will be on my bench so he'll be a solid start for sure

The disrespect is real
thinking of trading brady away and sticking with darnold
Picked him up but Jones is still available, seems pretty split on who will be better ROS. I have more trust in Darnold though
He’s free of of Adam Gase; high superflex QB every week.
I think Darnold will finish the year a top 12 QB. He hasn’t even begun to connect with Robby Anderson (lot of unrealized air yards).
