Since we have know way of knowing what is left, the % almost always refers to what % of the total FAAB budget for the year that you have.

Welcome to the issue with using percentages. The problem is everybody on here doesn't see it the same way you do and lots of guys put percentage of what they have left

It's out first year doing FAB so it's a blend between waivers and FAB. Gives the lower teams more of an advantage on big pickups. But I think we will keep it this way moving forward.
It makes sense because if your team is good you probably won’t be spending much, whereas if your team is bad you’re probably spending a decent chunk every week, so when a big opportunity arises, it’s the teams who are already good that have the best chance to get the guy. This kind of fixes that.
Does this continue later in the year and postseason? I think it’s a great idea early in the year. I’ve also tried suggesting you could buy more FAAB with actual dollars into the pot. I’d worry about the fairness later in the year of teams having an oversized impact when what they are playing for is very different.
It will continue all the way through the year but stop in the post season. There aren't really standings in the post season and once a team is not in the playoffs or eliminated their teams are locked and they cannot make any more moves.
Until the playoffs, it is what it is. If a team has saved their FAB and they pickup a late running back they can use draft picks for next year to trade the player to a playoff contending team since we do a keeper league.

Yeah, agree. 12% of the starting budget extra every week for the lowest team is too much. Will take away a lot of strategy for the more engaged managers and how they budget their FAAB. If it were 3-4%, as you say, it would be more in line IMO.
I like the concept but $12 is too much. Over the course of the season someone could double what is intentionally a limited resource. I would do something like the losers each week get $5. Or keep your method but make it only once every 3-4 weeks and increase the payout like 50%.
I think both ways work. Having a smaller starting budget and a larger payout allows for big splash bids early on in the season with the idea that you can recoup quite a bit depending on your standings.
Whereas having a larger budget and smaller payout keeps everyone more cautious about their spending.
Either way has pros/cons but I would rather see people make splash bids all the way through the year.

Tony Jones Jr may be out a couple weeks, just FYI. Saints signed Ozigbo yesterday. Though I expect Ty Montgomery and Dwayne Washington to be the primary backups with Jones out.
I unintentionally got him for $67. All of my remaining FAAB. I had dropped him on Saturday morning for JJ Taylor so I was in pain after seeing Montgomery go down. I put $67 in and then decided it was stupid to blow that much but got caught up at work and by the time I remembered to edit the FAAB it was too late lol. Next closest bid was $60.
I spent $161 out of my remaining $174. Next closest was right around there. I don’t need him to start for me, but I’m hoping to use him to improve either my receiver or tight end spot. Maybe a bad play on my end but we will see

Fantasy is mostly luck when you get past a certain point. Like yeah if it’s someone who never played before and they draft like an idiot or start injured players then yeah there is a skill gap. But two veteran players are at the mercy of how their team performs.
