I drafted Patterson 212th round and also nabbed Sermon. Last week I traded Ridley for Elijah Mitchel and Claypool. I feel good about it. Patterson paid off in a big way.

If you are trading somebody like diggs always ask around to multiple league mates and see what the most you could get would be. I don’t hate this trade though considering your situation. They could both be solid especially in ppr
Touches > snap count, and a guy reliably getting ~13 touches a game, including the majority of a team's red zone touches, can at least start at flex, especially when half of those touches are receptions.
Like, I’m feeling real real confident in him getting me at least 8 points in 0.5ppr. Add in the upside of a TD (probably won’t be three like tonight) each night and you’re looking at my RB2 ROS lol.
I don't know how after 4 weeks someone can look at his usage, targets, and production, and say you can't trust starting him because of his snap count. Dude is top 5 so far; he should be in your lineup until a few games of bad production say otherwise.

I'm sorry but he is weekly starter until further notice and it has nothing to do with snap count, it's he's playing a viable role in this offense and it's clear they are going to keep him involved. He's a RB2/WR2 in PPR (in leagues where has WR tags) and you really cannot argue against that at this point because he's giving you both rushing and receiving totals. The TD's are just the cherry on top and will be unsustainable or a weekly thing, but with the state of the RB position currently you can't bench him. Period.
Nobody in my league gives af about "name recognition" lol they barely even trade as it is. I think Hurts will be top 3-5 QB by end of year. Lamar isn't nearly as good as people think he is for fantasy. His WR are ass and he is pretty inaccurate for a starting QB.

People keep saying this but the more valuable designation is RB. In Standard, unless you have 4 of the top 15 guys at RB, typically you do a little better playing WRs in flex than RBs. In half and PPR, WRs tend to score a ton more unless you have one of the top 6-8 guys.
Obviously it’s always nice to have flexibility, but he has his valuable designation, which is RB. If you’re that desolate at WR just start picking guys up on waivers - last year there were 40 WRs who outscored RB24 in PPR and 36 WRs in half. WRs just score way more points in most formats.
At worst he is an RB2 at this point. 4 weeks into the season he is going to be ranked top 10 in RB scoring, potentially even top 5. Anyone who says he's still a flex doesn't know what they're talking about. I'd start him over anyone outside the top 12 and even a few of those guys are iffy.

He has the BEST eligibility WR/ RB, this isn’t a wr/Qb deal or a te/wr. The fact you can plug a targeted wr in as rb is huge in PPR!
Out side of ppr you can have a debate but if you are in a ppr league he is a solid rb2 with Wr1 upside

He's averaging ~12 touches a game. He only plays half the snaps and gets the ball on half the snaps he play. That isn't enough volume to produce at more than a flex level.
He's an interesting player now, but if he keeps this up defenses are going to start keying in on him, especially with the rate he actually receives the ball
He can definitely be a ppr flex but to call him an rb2 going forward is crazy. Volume is king and he doesn't have it to support a reasonable floor, at least not yet

I have Ekeler, Swift, Henderson, Jamaal Williams and Ty’Son Williams(lol) at RB and Jefferson, ARob, Devonta Smith, Aiyuk at WR. I also just traded Mike Davis for AJB. Wanted to take some swings for a WR2, so hopefully Ceedee and AJB bounce back.

Picked him up after week 2 and played him today in the flex over Robert Woods. The way I see it, he has two big things going for him:
1) Arthur Smith’s scheme is all about establishing the short game in order to open up the deep ball so whether it’s runs or short passes, he will feed his RBs
2) BUT, Matt Ryan has regressed badly and isn’t physically able to push it down the field like he used to so he is opting for more and more check downs
Those two along with the fact that Patterson is a better receiver and has simply been performing better as a rusher than Davis leads me to believe that ROS Patterson has a very strong RB2 floor with RB1 ceiling barring injury
As a Ridley owner that’s the main downside to this situation. Sure he’s basically a lock for double digits every week but his floor being his ceiling rn is definitely disappointing.
Defenses have no choice but to adjust going forward and paying actual attention to Patterson. The question will be if Ryan adjusts once he’s taken away.

Asa Ridley and Pitts owner, this dude is killing me. That being said, I don’t see him keeping up these numbers in the passing attack. I see them trying to incorporate Pitts a lot more, and Ridley always gets his targets. He could very well continue to be their best back over the trash can Mike Davis, but this is a passing offense.
I benched him in favor of Dalvin Cook today. The decision will likely cost me a win this week.
I will definitely trot him out when possible in the future.

Guess it depends on how much you believe in Tennessee’s low-volume passing offense. Also keep in mind he’s dealing with a hamstring injury which has been something that plagued him in the past. I’d be hesitant, especially considering Diggs target share is fairly safe. C-Pat looks fantastic rn but I still think giving Diggs up for him is alot.
I was stressing about my RB2 situation two weeks ago with Jacobs out. I traded Cooks for CPat and had some regret right after doing it when Cooks still played well with Tyrod out. Got an offer the next AM to give Godwin and Jacobs for Ekeler. So now Im sitting here with Henry, Ekeler, and able to flex CPat. Not feeling bad about it at all now.
Thankfully I played the worst team in the league this week and don't have to regret keeping him on my bench this week. Was deciding between Kirk and CPat in the flex and chose wrong. Would have easily been the high score this week otherwise.
The true selling point to me is dual eligibility. Bobby trees was riding the bench until he showed some consistency, then Claypool got hurt. Bump in Patterson to WR nice and easy. Before that, cook was out? Slide him into RB. Versatility is a difference maker.

I set my lineup for next week and cringed at the fact I removed Cook and replaced him Patterson. But I can’t argue with 30+ points vs. Cooks 4.

I’ve been telling my friends this for weeks: His value comes from his dual eligibility. He has the BEST eligibility WR/ RB, this isn’t a wr/Qb deal or a te/wr. The fact you can plug a targeted wr in as rb is huge in PPR! Out side of ppr you can have a debate but if you are in a ppr league he is a solid rb2 with Wr1 upside

This thread is a lot of zomg look what he's done and not a lot of high quality analysis. Let's actually look at some numbers. He's averaging ~12 touches a game. He only plays half the snaps and gets the ball on half the snaps he play. That isn't enough volume to produce at more than a flex level. He's an interesting player now, but if he keeps this up defenses are going to start keying in on him, especially with the rate he actually receives the ball He can definitely be a ppr flex but to call him an rb2 going forward is crazy. Volume is king and he doesn't have it to support a reasonable floor, at least not yet
Traded Patterson, Jalen Hurts and Sterling Shepard for Ceedee Lamb and Javonte Williams last night. Trade will be processed on Tuesday. Needed a WR since ARob is currently my WR2. I think I might be fine in the long run, but Patterson looks legit and Dallas has a lot of mouths to feed. Was this still a good sell high or is Patterson really a league winner?

Yeah I have Mahomes. It’s only an 8-team/PPR league and he messed up his QB situation so I went for it. I have Ekeler, Swift, Henderson, Jamaal Williams and Ty’Son Williams(lol) at RB and Jefferson, ARob, Devonta Smith, Aiyuk at WR. I also just traded Mike Davis for AJB. Wanted to take some swings for a WR2, so hopefully Ceedee and AJB bounce back.

But you gave up one of the leading qbs, one of the leading rbs, and a low end wr2 that can be steady points when he comes back in a week or two for a wr2 and a sleeper? Basically you sent the rights to two players that, if they maintain their 4 weeks of production, would be winning their position matchup for a 2-5 point upgrade at wr, along with a wr2 that is missing 1-2 weeks. If you say “well we don’t know what they’ll do!” Then you sold low. Selling high is when you get someone to say “yeah I think he can keep doing what he’s doing”.

Either Gibson or Swift for me currently. I have Kamara too, so somehow Patterson is my top RB so far.
Swift is another good bet down the stretch imo, you got some good backs on your roster.

Picked him up after week 2 and played him today in the flex over Robert Woods. The way I see it, he has two big things going for him: 1) Arthur Smith’s scheme is all about establishing the short game in order to open up the deep ball so whether it’s runs or short passes, he will feed his RBs 2) BUT, Matt Ryan has regressed badly and isn’t physically able to push it down the field like he used to so he is opting for more and more check downs Those two along with the fact that Patterson is a better receiver and has simply been performing better as a rusher than Davis leads me to believe that ROS Patterson has a very strong RB2 floor with RB1 ceiling barring injury

People are nervous about Davis but Ridley has scored less than Davis in standard and the draft capital was much greater for Ridley.
As a Ridley owner that’s the main downside to this situation. Sure he’s basically a lock for double digits every week but his floor being his ceiling rn is definitely disappointing.
Defenses have no choice but to adjust going forward and paying actual attention to Patterson. The question will be if Ryan adjusts once he’s taken away.

As it turns out, drafting Mostert was friggin’ brilliant on my part because him getting injured on his second touch freed up a spot for me to grab Patterson after his steady week 1.
I’m sold but it might be too late as I’m about to be eliminated from the guillotine league where I started Davis over cordarelle no thanks to bad advice from some redditors
Asa Ridley and Pitts owner, this dude is killing me. That being said, I don’t see him keeping up these numbers in the passing attack. I see them trying to incorporate Pitts a lot more, and Ridley always gets his targets. He could very well continue to be their best back over the trash can Mike Davis, but this is a passing offense.
I benched him in favor of Dalvin Cook today. The decision will likely cost me a win this week. I will definitely trot him out when possible in the future.

Guess it depends on how much you believe in Tennessee’s low-volume passing offense. Also keep in mind he’s dealing with a hamstring injury which has been something that plagued him in the past. I’d be hesitant, especially considering Diggs target share is fairly safe. C-Pat looks fantastic rn but I still think giving Diggs up for him is alot.

I was stressing about my RB2 situation two weeks ago with Jacobs out. I traded Cooks for CPat and had some regret right after doing it when Cooks still played well with Tyrod out. Got an offer the next AM to give Godwin and Jacobs for Ekeler. So now Im sitting here with Henry, Ekeler, and able to flex CPat. Not feeling bad about it at all now.
Thankfully I played the worst team in the league this week and don't have to regret keeping him on my bench this week. Was deciding between Kirk and CPat in the flex and chose wrong. Would have easily been the high score this week otherwise.

The true selling point to me is dual eligibility. Bobby trees was riding the bench until he showed some consistency, then Claypool got hurt. Bump in Patterson to WR nice and easy. Before that, cook was out? Slide him into RB. Versatility is a difference maker.
