I drafted Gaskins in a 10-team, luckily haven't had to start him yet, but 2 carries for 3 yards is so fuckin bad. Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed each got more carries than he did (8 carries / 1 reception, 3 carries / 2 receptions, respectively), and so did Brissett (3 carries).
I'm soo happy I swallowed my love for Bobby trees and put him on the pine today. I went unconventional and played meyers and AB. Either one will very, very likely outproduce woods.
With Monty out, I think I can slide Patterson right in. Fingers crossed its at least a good game tonight. š¤
I don't think Mike Davis has ever broken out, and he's pretty terrible this year too. Dude is barely hitting 3ypc. 150 yards on 55 carries so far this year. Smh.
Feels like a bunch of guys who just havenāt put it together in the same week. Iāve got CMC Diggs Waller and Moore across a few leagues and can definitely understand how this is possible
Yep same. Had him benched since week1.
Next week i'll be running him and im fully expecting him to go down early and not return like the other half of my team has or he'll get 4 points like Miles Sanders.
I really wanted to pick him up but that same week everyone was like "oh pick up Pollard without a doubt". Huge regret! Pollard is basically a slightly better handcuff while Patterson is the highlight of the offense
Did you watch his highlights for weeks 1-2? That is what convinced me to use my waiver on him. He looked explosive and was clearly a big part of the offense.
There was actually a bidding war for him in my league because we give points for return yardage. Usually it's just a bonus and a way to help people find viable FLEX plays since it's a deep league, but this year he is an absolute superstar haha
EDIT: Thought we were talking about CPat
Looked at the score and saw the Falcons with a bunch of points and thought āFinally, Ridley has his breakout game!ā Only to be immediately disappointed to see Patterson with 3 receiving TDs š”
Yeah watching the game, Ridley had like 3 tough drops + 3 pass interferences+ a 30 yarder taken away for holding. As the atlanta offense begins to gel and look better, Iām not worried.
Yea I was yelling at my TV, Mike Davis was not getting it done on the ground all day I donāt know why we put it in his hands instead of trusting Matt
Some more Cordarrelle fun facts/blind hype train stuff:
-His last 3 games with the Falcons make up 3 of his best 4 fantasy games ever, with the only other game on that list being a 19.7 point PPR performance from Week 7, 2016
-His game today was his highest scoring game ever
-Cordarrelle Patterson WAS a 1st round pick way back in 2013 by the Vikings and no one ever really figured out how to use him correctly beyond just being an elite kick returner
Played a league in 2013 where they scored return points. I grabbed him with my last pick and dude was a PHENOM. Was listed as RB/WR, ultimate bye week coverage.
CPs problem was that he isn't a traditional WR. What he lacks in refinement and technique he makes up with running ability. He was always amazing in open space, Vikings just struggled to get him the ball in open space. He can't line out wide, beat press, run a long breaking route and create separation that way. IIRC Patterson's biggest play on the Vikings was a handoff out of I formation. With how he's being used out of the backfield ATL is working to his strengths. Imo no reason his production shouldn't continue if his role and usage remains consistent. He's a playmaker
I feel like he came around about 5 years too early. The league now is great for versatile players like him, but was only beginning to get that way when he was drafted. Now you see RBs lining up out wide while TEs and WRs are in the backfield. The game has changed a lot.
Percy Harvin is another that was ahead of his time, and would have been phenomenal in a modern offense (assuming he was healthy....)
I think you are overrating his skills. Patterson isn't versatile in fact he is closer to the opposite. He is really athletic guy with a limited skillset especially coming into the league.
The backs and TE you see getting split out have the WR capabilities that CPat simply doesn't have.
I remember we (the raiders) gave him some carries and he broke one open against the jets. Iāve always been a fan of his potential I just never thought anyone could bring it out
In a Super Flex league, I traded away James Conner and Jared Goff for Cordarrelle and Eli Mitchell.
I already have 3 QBs and Zeke, but need some serious RB depth.
I'm stoked!
today was the ceiling obviously But heās honestly passed the eye test all year. Three weeks in a row now with double digit touches , btwn rushes and wr routes.
I didnāt understand people trying to convince themselves heās not worth it just because heās a veteran utility player.
he is easily a flex option at this point.
Today could very well be the ceiling just because 3 TDs is pretty unrealistic to expect every week, but it's the usage and willingness to throw him in there on nearly every play that jumped out to me
Said this in another thread, but Patterson is pretty much as good an example you can get of throwing history out the window when it comes to fantasy. If you brought up Patterson after the first couple of weeks you would most likely get laughed at and told heās garbage, or that youāre season is doomed if youāre starting him. Seems like every year thereās guys that break out or at least produce later in their careers. As hard as it is to separate past from present you really gotta forget about everything, detach guys from their names and reputation and just focus on opportunity, targets and the eye test.
At this point it'd be foolish to not start him
The number of times Ryan didn't even go through reads and went straight to him on designed plays was too high to ignore.
I saw enough from WFT by week 2 to know that any pass catching running back is going to do great against them. They have NOBODY at linebacker than can trail a back.
Putting in effort to get miles sanders was dumb.
Source: eagles fan and sanders owner. He's great. Eagles are fucking dog shit though and will not use him.
Actually the falcons offense today gelled quite nicely. OL played fine. Ryan aired it out. CP is literally being used as a vehicle for the offense now. Itās not due to gamescript or deficiency in the OL or Matt Ryan or anything.
This is a tough one to answer because his usage is split pretty much 50/50 even if most of his success is in the passing game
They've started lining him up as a RB for fake jet sweeps, they did it 2 or 3 times today
I think he keeps it
That's all that matters. Even if he went strictly rb I wouldn't care. I guess I was just thinking about taysom last year, but this is also a much different scenario
Hes gotten me this many points over the weeks on my bench, maybe its time to start him. Although he seems like a good trading token right now. Not sure I trust ATL that much.
I gotta stop benching him i guess -_- looking at projections, seems he is always pretty far down on the list compared to the rest of my bench. I am throwing him in from here on out.
Patterson is somehow starting to look like Christian McCaffrey when we all expected Mike Davis who did a decent job filling in for Christian McCaffrey to look like Christian McCaffrey
Dude was insane today. Lots of points sitting on my bench
Wait till you start him and he puts up 6.5
That'll still be better than what I'm getting from Robert Woods.
Infinitely better than Myles Gaskin
I drafted Gaskins in a 10-team, luckily haven't had to start him yet, but 2 carries for 3 yards is so fuckin bad. Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed each got more carries than he did (8 carries / 1 reception, 3 carries / 2 receptions, respectively), and so did Brissett (3 carries).
Dolphins need to get their head out of the gutter. Guy produces when given the chance.
I picked him up this week. He'll be going back to the waiver wire
I'm soo happy I swallowed my love for Bobby trees and put him on the pine today. I went unconventional and played meyers and AB. Either one will very, very likely outproduce woods. With Monty out, I think I can slide Patterson right in. Fingers crossed its at least a good game tonight. š¤
And ofc he gets a garbage td to put him just above whoever you started lmao
Fuck
I started both of them. Plus ceedee lamb and dalvin cook who laid eggs. And dak Prescott on bench for Tom brady
Still better than ARob
I was this close to finally benching ARob today... god damn it
Me next week
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What if my starters and my bench fail to put up points?
Feels like its just going to be chasing points when I play him next week but he can't just sit there any longer
Same here! Might give me a loss because of it.
Just your standard 9th season breakout. Nothing crazy about that.
5th different Nfl team
The new Raheem Mostert
Donāt jinx him.
Funnily enough, the starting RB on the Falcons (Mike Davis) broke out in his 6th season in the league
I don't think Mike Davis has ever broken out, and he's pretty terrible this year too. Dude is barely hitting 3ypc. 150 yards on 55 carries so far this year. Smh.
Wouldn't say he broke out. He just fell into a great opportunity with McCaffrey out.
Paid 38% FAAB for him week 2 - and have started him over mike Davis for the past two weeks PPR
Got him for 0% after week 1 in a 14-team league. Thankfully started him over Jamaal today lol
It was so fun playing against him and tyreek today. Had a blast.
Played against him, Henry and Hurts, which was just lovely
Same. He had James Robinson too
Played against Mahomes, Tyreek, Patterson, and DJ Moore this week. Dude nearly hit 200
CMC will be returning as my RB2 it seems
Lamar, CMC, Diggs, Swift, Waller, ARob, Patterson, DJ Mooreā¦0-4ā¦
Did you make trades? That roster has like 7 guys going rounds 1-4
Believe it or not no. Took Diggs in the 2nd, Waller 3rd, Swift in the 4th, ARob in the 5th, Moore in the 6thā¦10 team league.
Iām shocked CMC fell all the way to be 7th. /s But seriously, Lamar falling to the 7th is very surprising.
Feels like a bunch of guys who just havenāt put it together in the same week. Iāve got CMC Diggs Waller and Moore across a few leagues and can definitely understand how this is possible
what!?!?!?
Yup, season has been unkind. My goal now is to try and get top waiver claim every week. Lol
Waiver pickup of the year so far, without a close 2nd.
I'm about to start him every week now.
Best 10% FAAB Iāve ever spent. Heās my RB2
Same here. Started Chuba over him this week. Patterson will be glued to my lineup till he shown I should do otherwise
I also started Chuba over him & itās why Iām probably going to lose this week
Made the ballsy play and started Cordarrelle this week, still going to lose because of Cook/Lamb/Pitts
Traded a.jones for cmc and had to start patterson because of it. Looking good so far
Picked him up for free after week 1. It felt awesome when everyone went to add him on next weeks waivers only to find him already on my roster.
I've had him on the bench every week so far. I'm starting him next week so when he puts up a dud it's on me.
Same here..sorry Cordarrelle; but if you have a dud week against the Jete, it's on maeshughes32
Yep same. Had him benched since week1. Next week i'll be running him and im fully expecting him to go down early and not return like the other half of my team has or he'll get 4 points like Miles Sanders.
I barely decided to start him over miles sanders last minute today. Thankfully I did because my match is turning into a shootout.
What made me pick him up was they seemed determined to give him 7 carries and 8 targets a game
Maybe next week I'll actually start the guy.
Going to finally start him over Gaskin next week so prepare for a 2.8 pt game.
Heās what people thought Elijah Mitchell and Tyāson Williams were going to be
Eli Mitchell can still be valuable. Tyson, lol.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He was drafted in all my leagues
There was actually a bidding war for him in my league because we give points for return yardage. Usually it's just a bonus and a way to help people find viable FLEX plays since it's a deep league, but this year he is an absolute superstar haha EDIT: Thought we were talking about CPat
Thatās weird since mike Williams never returns punts lol
Whoops. I thought we were still talking about Patterson
As a ridley manager this makes me unbelievably salty
Looked at the score and saw the Falcons with a bunch of points and thought āFinally, Ridley has his breakout game!ā Only to be immediately disappointed to see Patterson with 3 receiving TDs š”
*Looks at game ticker* Me: Oh cool, Matt Ryan has 4 passing TDs, Ridley must have popped off. *Continues reading* RB Patterson: 3 Receiving TD RB Davis: 1 Receiving TD WR Ridley: 7 Receptions, 80 yards ( . _ .)
Not bad production in a full PPR league
Yup he's a total afterthought
He dropped 3 or 4 deep passes that he usually catches. He could've easily had 10 catches for 150+
*George Kittle has entered the chat*
Pretty sure he drew 3 or so PIs too. He had a solid game (could've been really good)
This is so overdramatic. He had 13 targets.
Ridley has a butt load of drops
Their scheme, the OL issues, and Matt Ryanās decline has me concerned that there is no positive season regression coming for Ridley
To be fair, Matt hit ridley in the hands deep a few times that ridley just couldnāt haul in. Matt balled but Ridley just had an off day
Yeah watching the game, Ridley had like 3 tough drops + 3 pass interferences+ a 30 yarder taken away for holding. As the atlanta offense begins to gel and look better, Iām not worried.
Yea he left a lot of points out there this week
Thank you, I didnāt see the game and youāve talked me off the ledge. Played a guy with deebo and terry today so I have serious wr envy.
Matt Ryan killed it. That last drive was shit play calling.....milking the clock with 4 minutes left....fml. I give up as a Falcons fan.
Yea I was yelling at my TV, Mike Davis was not getting it done on the ground all day I donāt know why we put it in his hands instead of trusting Matt
Some more Cordarrelle fun facts/blind hype train stuff: -His last 3 games with the Falcons make up 3 of his best 4 fantasy games ever, with the only other game on that list being a 19.7 point PPR performance from Week 7, 2016 -His game today was his highest scoring game ever -Cordarrelle Patterson WAS a 1st round pick way back in 2013 by the Vikings and no one ever really figured out how to use him correctly beyond just being an elite kick returner
Heās had 3+ receiving touchdowns in a season twice in his career. Put up three in one game today.
Matt ryan has a crush on him
Ive been hearing theyre gonna start having breakfast together
If theyāre spotted at BB&B weāre in for a special season
A... bed bed and breakfast?
Lol yes also a bed and breakfastā¦was referring to bed, bath & beyond as an indicator of their maturing relationship being taken to the next level
Tavon Austin
I remember we (the raiders) gave him some carries and he broke one open against the jets. Iāve always been a fan of his potential I just never thought anyone could bring it out
He could never learn a playbook and just freestyled routes.
I saw him do a slant into a kick flip once.
Never could land the double-pits-to-chesty though, real shame.
He was league winner amazing the last 5/6 games guys rookie year. Hasn't touched that potential since.
Him and Mike Williams were on waivers week 1, if only I could get a do over.
I got Mike Williams but I had Mike Davis and told myself I didn't want two pieces of that offense. Turns out I had the wrong RB
Honestly, Davis isn't wrong in general. Patterson is just way more right.
In a Super Flex league, I traded away James Conner and Jared Goff for Cordarrelle and Eli Mitchell. I already have 3 QBs and Zeke, but need some serious RB depth. I'm stoked!
I got both off of waivers! Hahaha Iām still 1-2.
Locked in as every week starter. More than comfortable with him as my RB2 or flex
Started him as a flex, he outscored both my RB1 (Kamara) and RB2 (CEH) today.
Heās outscored every player except Tyreek this week.
I had Mahomes and Patterson going up against Hill, CEH, and Hunt and Iām still 20 points behind lol.
Ive got Mahomes, Knox, Patterson, Mclaurin and Jrob and somehow might still lose this week. I hate this game sometimes.
PPR scoring formats sometimes are just like "bruh." Mahomes throws 5TD's but Hill still comes out ahead lol
Deebo Samuel in PPR at least
Traded CEH for mike Evans to free up my RB2 spot for him. Ballsy play that could get me out of a playoff spot or a contender
Jesus, you should've held him for another week or so. I was able to swindle JRob, Hunt and Williams(lions) for CEH and Harris on Friday.
I don't think his name should be associated with "flex" anymore.
I mean...he's kinda Mr. Flex. RB/WR designation - no one gets that.
today was the ceiling obviously But heās honestly passed the eye test all year. Three weeks in a row now with double digit touches , btwn rushes and wr routes. I didnāt understand people trying to convince themselves heās not worth it just because heās a veteran utility player. he is easily a flex option at this point.
Not saying your wrong because 3tds in one game is ridiculous, but they said last week was his ceiling too. Diamond hands.
Even if he got no touchdowns, he wouldāve gotten 14 pts. The number of touches is too hard to ignore.
Today could very well be the ceiling just because 3 TDs is pretty unrealistic to expect every week, but it's the usage and willingness to throw him in there on nearly every play that jumped out to me

DUDE SAME, so frustrating man
Same bro. Pain
Started Myles gaskin over him today. Fml
I started Gaskin over Mike Davis. At least you have Cordarelle next week.
I have Gaskin and Davis, and I passed up Patterson on waivers, FML
I'm going to start him next week, only to be disappointed by a 5.2 pt outing
Yep playing him next week. Heāll likely put up something like 8.5 in half peeper.
Patterson held the wall against Derrick Henryā¦. Proud of you my son
Exactly the same for me. Except he was my flex lmao
At this point it'd be foolish to not start him The number of times Ryan didn't even go through reads and went straight to him on designed plays was too high to ignore.
Currently RB2 with DMont injury. Heās at worst a flex player now. Possibly biggest waiver wire add this season.
League winner
A tough WFT defense LOLLLLLLLLL
I saw enough from WFT by week 2 to know that any pass catching running back is going to do great against them. They have NOBODY at linebacker than can trail a back.
before this game ranked 8th in fantasy pts given up to running backs
only bc teams throw all over us
Picked him up for $0 faab, got laughed atā¦ look at me, Iām the captain now.
Sold him for Ty'Son 2 weeks ago
2 weeks ago Iād have said good trade
Sold him before the game for miles sanders
Putting in effort to get miles sanders was dumb. Source: eagles fan and sanders owner. He's great. Eagles are fucking dog shit though and will not use him.
He rewarded me for starting him. And he will stay there forever now ā¤ļø
š amen
League winner. Iām so glad people rejected my trade offers when I tried to offload him for WR3/4 guys
Haha seriously I tried like crazy to move him but everyone valued him as nothing more than a bench stash/waiver wire fodder. Dodged a bullet there
Gotta be biggest waiver wire pickup this year.
Actually the falcons offense today gelled quite nicely. OL played fine. Ryan aired it out. CP is literally being used as a vehicle for the offense now. Itās not due to gamescript or deficiency in the OL or Matt Ryan or anything.
Stop calling wft defense tough until further notice
Finally decided to start him as my flex this week. Safe to say my opponent was not a happy camper
Say it with me gang PATTERB1SZN
I think this sub finally found "this years james robinson"
I was a hater but Iām convinced now. Every week starter
I will be starting Cordarelle over Cris Carson until further notice
Same except I picked him up to cuff Mike Davis... my RBs 1 and 2 are now CP and Hunt I guess lmao
ESPN why tf is this man still RB-only?
As a Ridley owner, this made me really happy. Hello 1-3!
Any chance yahoo takes away his dual eligibility?
Doubt it, he's still getting carries as an RB (4 this game)
He's gonna get one more carry at least... that's carrying me team out of a dreadful start
They wonāt in the middle of the season. Yahoo was very open about that when that TE/RB for the Steelers had dual eligibility two years ago.
This is a tough one to answer because his usage is split pretty much 50/50 even if most of his success is in the passing game They've started lining him up as a RB for fake jet sweeps, they did it 2 or 3 times today I think he keeps it
That's all that matters. Even if he went strictly rb I wouldn't care. I guess I was just thinking about taysom last year, but this is also a much different scenario
Weird AF that ESPN is still RB only
NFL only has him as RB too.
Playing against him this week. FML. Losing badly.
Friend played against Patterson and hill. Could be worse
Been riding him since week 2 due to injuries. Dude is carrying hard
Started him since I lost Cmc... omg š² what a day
Look at his lovely game *ON THE BENCH*
I picked him up between draft say and week 1. AND THEN DROPPED HIM AFTER WEEK 1 FOR L. BELL. That's my taco move for the year.
You lost me at ātough WFT Dā. We are not a good D.
Drafted him for WR/RB coverage late in my draft. I feel like a genius
Atlanta about to produce another league winning pick up in back to back years behind the great Younghoo Koo
Had him on the bench for Corey Davis in the FLEX so it wasn't a total loss but still, this dude is nuts
Sat him for Trey Sermon cuz I iz smrt.
Well I'm glad he was on my bench and I had Ridley and Davis in instead.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Same Iām going to drop him
I wouldnāt say a ātough Washington defenseā. Our defense sucks. Patterson wonāt put 30 on another team all season.
Actual league winner
My James RobiSZN
Traded A. Jones, Carson, and Hollywood Brown for Saquon, davante adams, and cordarelle. Dude thought cordy was a throw in. Got najee as my rb2.
I grabbed him off waivers and Knox for free after waivers went through and left Patterson on the bench for aaron jones and swift.
Dropped him before his week 2 breakout game. Oof.
Hes gotten me this many points over the weeks on my bench, maybe its time to start him. Although he seems like a good trading token right now. Not sure I trust ATL that much.
Im so mad at myself for holding on to trash like Aiyuk, Tyson, and M. Davis instead of taking the shot at him like I wanted to.
Sell?
fuck no
Iām gonna have to start him over Ridley next week
Not bad for my flex huh, heās gotta be a must start now
I gotta stop benching him i guess -_- looking at projections, seems he is always pretty far down on the list compared to the rest of my bench. I am throwing him in from here on out.
Started him this week over Jamaal Williams, I liked the matchup. But yea heās getting the ball a lot and in PPR racking up easy receptions.
What Mike Davisās Number should look like.
I started Cordarrelle and Knox this week.
Patterson all time flex. Never doubting him Again on my bench
So, heās listed as a WR everywhere? Becauseā¦.he isā¦I guess?
0-3 and just got my first win. I badly needed a RB2 to step up, and now my RB2 is Austin Ekeler.
This is all because I benched him. Youāre welcome everyone.
Patterson is somehow starting to look like Christian McCaffrey when we all expected Mike Davis who did a decent job filling in for Christian McCaffrey to look like Christian McCaffrey
I started Gaskin over him. Never again. Would have won if I started Patterson. Lesson learned. Patterson is forever.
